Merle Oberon (Estelle Merle O'Brien Thompson; February 19, 1911 - November 23, 1979) was a British actress best known for ''Film/{{Wuthering Heights|1939}}'' (1939), ''Film/{{The Lodger|1944}}'' (1944), and ''Film/ThatUncertainFeeling'' (1941).

She was married to Creator/AlexanderKorda, Creator/LucienBallard, Bruno Pagliai, and Creator/RobertWolders and had adopted two children with Pagliali.

Oberon died in 1979 at the age of 68 from a stroke.
