Joanne Dru (born Joanne Letitia [=LaCock=]) was an American actress. Pretty and golden-haired, she had a great deal of success early in her career with films like ''Film/RedRiver'', ''Film/SheWoreAYellowRibbon'', and ''Film/AllTheKingsMen''. Her fame faded in later years but she continued acting until around 1980.

Dru was the sister of ''Series/TheHollywoodSquares'' host Peter Marshall and the aunt of UsefulNotes/MajorLeagueBaseball player Pete [=LaCock=]. She was married to singer Dick Haymes, with whom she had three children; and subsequently to actor Creator/JohnIreland, George Rodgers Pierose, and C. V. Wood. She died of lymphedema at the age of 74.
