Not an outcome.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: In the first issue, Eric tries to hurry through the dispensation of his father's will. His father's lawyers point out that Eric is inheriting an entire company with multiple divisions, and the subsidiaries alone will probably take three weeks to review. When he finds out that his dad's company owns a baseball team, he asks a question about one of the players, only to have a lawyer tell him that he's not yet legally entitled to that information, as the team is company property, not his personal property, and he has not been fully recognized as the new owner yet.

* TakeThat: The series opens with Eric taking jabs at ''ComicBook/TheCloneSaga'' and ''ComicBook/{{Knightfall}}''.

''Abyss'' is a four-issue miniseries by Kevin Rubio (the creator of ''Film/{{Troops}}'') and Lucas Marangan, published by Creator/RedFiveComics.

After the sudden death of his father, Eric Hoffman returns home, where he expects to spend the rest of his life forced to run his dad's weapons-manufacturing company. Instead, he discovers that his dad is very much alive. Which would be wonderful news, except that his dad also happens to be Abyss, one of the world's most notorious supervillains, and now he expects Eric to follow in his footsteps.

The initial miniseries spawned a follow-up, ''Abyss: Family Issues''.
