The Fiora one is probably a coincidence, whereas the Rex comparisons are highlighted by the game mechanics itself, and the Sophia comparison comes from the other characters around her being similar direct Expies themselves.

** Amusingly, while the base game liked to compare Rex to Addam, Lora may be even more like him than Addam is. A spirited young (though older than she looks) person, who grew strong from a parent-less upbringing, and became a Driver through accidentally getting her hands on a legendary Blade that wasn't intended for her. She also wields her rope often in the same way Rex uses his grappling hook (her Break art spawns healing potions much like Rex's toppling anchor shot), and her Blades and skills push her towards the same CombatMedic style.
** Lora is also similar to Fiora from [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 the first game]] in terms of role and personality, aside from the fact that their English dub names rhyme. She's a bit of a [[TheGadfly gadfly]], but is also TheHeart of the team and the voice of reason. She has a similar close-range fighting style, particularly considering when Fiora uses hunting knives as a Homs, and her Arts share some similarities with Fiora's in ''Xenoblade Chronicles 2'' itself, being a mix of DPS and healing. But most importantly, she is a {{deuteragonist}} whose story mostly revolves around Jin and [[spoiler:her death drives Jin to take revenge on the world around him, much like what Fiora's death does to Shulk]].

Expy is for deliberate examples.

** Lora is also similar to the ironically named [[Film/RogueOne Jyn Erso]] as TheHero and the female POV character within her team, being DoomedByCanon and with a good amount of focus on her romantic relationship within her team. She is the direct main focus of the game's events, but her importance to the overarching narrative is more from her actions' effect on the world and characters from within her team.

* ActionGirl: Now that Blades are directly playable, we get to see Mythra in combat outside of Blade Specials and cutscenes, and it is ''glorious''.
* AdultChild: She has the body of a young adult woman but behaves like a BrattyTeenageDaughter to Addam and to the rest of the team. Like Malos, she's only a few years old at best, so this kind of behavior makes sense for her.
* AmplifierArtifact: Mythra appears to be this for Siren. When Mythra begins channeling her true power, Siren's power reaches incredible new heights, [[spoiler:Mythra channeling so much energy into it that she could well have destroyed all of Alrest if her vision of meeting Rex hadn't interrupted the energy charging]].
* AntiHero: This is before Mythra learned social skills or to be afraid of her own strength, so she's much more abrasive and quick to use her KillSat as a solution to every problem, even intending to kill Brighid with it during their first encounter. She also often voices her displeasure at the party taking on {{Sidequest}}s.
* BadassAdorable: She's the all-powerful Aegis and gets to show off her abilities and combat prowess even more here, also she comes across as even ''cuter'' than in the main game because her being surrounded by more mature teammates makes her come across as TheBabyOfTheBunch, including her pseudo-father figure Addam.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: While Mythra looks older than Hugo and Haze, she's still the most immature member of the squad and acts like a petulant child (and is likely ''the'' youngest chronologically), with Addam acting as a caring father figure. Without squadmates that look and act even less mature than her such as Rex and Poppi, she ends up filling this role. Addam even says "she's a good kid", reinforcing the idea that she's meant to be seen as a teenager.
* BerserkerTears: [[spoiler:She sheds tears during her rampage while receiving visions of Rex from the main game, just before she defeats Malos]].
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She becomes a lot nicer at the end of the DLC due to CharacterDevelopment and starts to generally care about everyone else but [[spoiler:ends up blowing most of them to hell after Malos attacks Auresco]].
* BigDamnHeroes: Saves Lora and Jin from one of Malos' Artifices with her own via a OneHitKill.
* BigEater: Milton teases Mythra by bringing up the time of wondering where the six [[TrademarkFavoriteFood Cloud Sea Crab Sticks]] she ate went before poking her butt, as if to answer his own question. Also, all her favored pouch items are food related, being meat and desserts. She claims she eats a lot because she is an Aegis and thus needs a lot of energy.
* BillingDisplacement: Possibly {{invoked|trope}} as a RedHerring. Despite Lora and Jin being the nominal focus of the game, [[spoiler: the end of the game makes it clear that this game is just as Aegis-centric as the base game, and Mythra, the fifth-billed character, gets the most plot importance and character development.]]
* BigNo: Upon finding [[spoiler:Milton's dead body]].
* BlondesAreEvil: Not quite ''evil'', but when first encountered, she's fairly apathetic about the fate of humans and is completely uncaring towards others. She gets better by traveling with Lora's group.
* BloodKnight: Much like Malos, and unlike in the main game, Mythra seems to live for the thrill of fighting, as seen in many of her field and battle quotes. The events of ''Torna'' obviously cause her to adopt a much more cynical outlook on combat over the next 500 years.
* BrattyTeenageDaughter: It's unclear how old Mythra is supposed to act and look, but she has this kind of relationship with Addam, who comes off as older than her. She comes across as much more impudent and immature than her Driver, who has the patience of a saint and has more trust in her than the other members of the party do, acting as a surrogate father-daughter relationship of sorts.
* BrilliantButLazy: One of Mythra's problems is that while she's ''capable'' of controlling her firepower to a fine degree (as evidenced by her future self in the main game), she doesn't see the point of it, instead [[TheAllSolvingHammer preferring to use Siren on everything from enemies to environmental hazards]] until they stop being a problem (or until one of the other party members suggests a less aggressive option).
* ButtMonkey:
** Due to her abrasive and arrogant personality making it hard for others to get along with her, Mythra tends to be subjected to bullying by the others. She's not even safe from [[NiceGirl Haze]], the "master of low-key shade".
** In a post-battle conversation, Jin will ask the party what they want for dinner, and Addam and/or his Blade will respond. If Minoth is active, both Addam and Minoth will request meat and Jin will accept. If Mythra is active, she'll request "something meaty" and Jin will propose steamed vegetables instead, the implication being that he's doing it just to spite her.
* CampCook: She shares the cooking crafting skill with Jin and Aegaeon.
* DemotedToExtra: Zigzagged; she's still important to the plot but is less important than she is in the main game, where she and Pyra are the {{deuteragonist}}s and the central focus of the game. However, she's also PromotedToPlayable here, though it's more due to mechanics than anything. [[spoiler:This is ultimately {{averted|trope}}, as it turns out that Mythra herself gets the most plot importance and character development. While Team Lora are the POV characters for most of the game and it's pitched as an origin story for Jin in particular, by the end of the game it's clear that the overall plot focus is on the Aegis and the conflict between Mythra and Malos.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: While she was already sad about [[spoiler:Hugo's death and the destruction of Torna, finding Milton's dead body]] makes her want to be locked away entirely, creating Pyra as a result. This is also responsible for her DeathSeeker goals in the main game.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: Mythra's role is essentially the tritagonist, not being part of the Lora/Jin main character duo but getting the most character development and plot focus along with Jin (and possibly more in some cases, given that she's an even more central character in the base game).
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: [[spoiler:Her eyes lose their luster after Malos pushes her too far and unlocks her true power]]. This can be easily seen during her DeathGlare against Malos.
* DumbBlonde: Played with. Despite being a GeniusBruiser [[spoiler:due to her being an extension of one of the Trinity Processor's cores]], the rest of the cast infamously riffs on Mythra for her reckless behavior, accusing her of being a "simpleton". Indeed, in this game Mythra seems to have much less regard for the environment around her than in the main game and is far more reckless, though it's more out of apathy than outright lack of intelligence. She hasn't reached the level of development that she has in the main game, where she used mental calculations to determine how much energy is needed in different situations without destroying everything around her. In a weird way, this trope applies to Mythra in the sense that she has NoSocialSkills.
* {{Expy}}: She begins the game as Alrest's version of [[spoiler:her "brother"]] [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 Alvis]], [[spoiler:an Aegis born from a Trinity Processor core]] with the ability to see the future who doesn't have much of a moral stance but merely follows orders as she processes the information around her. She gets better, though.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Downplayed. While not everyone outright dislikes her, Mythra's arrogance and lack of social skills make it hard to get along with her. It's easier to list scenes where the entire party isn't insulting or belittling her for her behavior. [[spoiler:After she realizes all the suffering her rampage caused at the end of the game, she took everything they said to heart and hates herself for not being even close to what her friends wanted her to be. Which is why she made Pyra's outward personality be everything that she wasn't, all of that kindness and humility that she never had even down to the smallest flaws, like her friends hating her cooking]].
* GlassCannon: Like in the main game, a specced-out Mythra can cut enemies to shreds with impunity while having decent survivability on her own thanks to Foresight, but what's most notable about her here is that the Battle Art version of Lightning Buster becomes as broken as [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 Fiora]]'s Screw Edge and Universe Flicker in the main game, and can be endlessly chained for massive damage. However, Mythra is even more fragile here not only due to her low defenses but also because she inherits MightyGlacier Addam's low Agility; however, her movement and attack speeds still make her a comparative FragileSpeedster within her team, and her offensive abilities have of course been cranked UpToEleven.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Played with; she's the only blonde among the 9 protagonists, even looking [[GoldAndWhiteAreDivine very angelic]], and is also the most immature and abrasive with moments of underdeveloped morality, but is fundamentally caring and kind-hearted and is known as ''the'' ultimate force for good. [[spoiler:She plays this trope straight by the end of the game, having learned to believe in ThePowerOfFriendship, but the horrors of Malos' destruction and Milton's death cause her to go on a MamaBear RoaringRampageOfRevenge that traumatizes her and compels her to lock herself up behind Pyra, with her more prickly traits resurfacing slightly when Rex meets her 500 years later.]]
* JokeWeapon: Well more like joke ''pouch items'', but nearly all of her dishes have pathetically weak effects [[spoiler:except for the [[MeaningfulName Miracle]] [[InfinityPlusOneSword Parfait]]]].
* TheLadette: {{Downplayed|trope}}, she acts and looks feminine in many ways but has some masculine quirks such as enjoying meat, being overall rude and standoffish while having shades of BloodKnight, and [[SirSwearsALot swearing]] more than the rest of the cast. In the English dub, her speech patterns sound more like a typical North American teenager than the other five Blades (who are more dignified aside from Minoth and mostly appear older aside from Haze), painting her as rowdier than them despite her appearance.
* LethalChef: Her crafting menu icon evokes this trope and is titled [[InsistentTerminology "Creative" Cuisine]]. According to Milton, her cooking is so bad that the dish from the flashback is given the "[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild Dubious Food]]" treatment, as is her entry in the cooking contest sidequest. The only food it's implied she might have any kind of capacity to make is her final recipe, [[MeaningfulName Miracle]] Parfait.
* LightEmUp: Her Blade element is Light.
* ManlyTears: Crosses over with BerserkerTears, she weeps [[spoiler:as she unleashes her true power against Malos]] but is even more badass then she typically is. Considering she's one of the strongest Blades, it says a lot.
* NoSocialSkills: Starts off abrasive and arrogant with the rest of the team, save for Addam, barely tolerating her, particularly Brighid and Jin. She even bluntly states in the beginning that she could care less about the fate of humans. Then CharacterDevelopment kicks in, allowing her to value the bonds she forms with her friends.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: In her RoaringRampageOfRevenge, [[spoiler:she destroyed all of Torna]] with Siren's ultimate attack.
* PoliticallyIncorrectHero: To show how selfish and immature this version of Mythra is compared to her later self, she makes various requests and complaints that show her lack of caring towards the people of Torna, such as being reluctant to help with people's everyday problems and requesting that Addam tax his people to fund the gang's journey. [[ReasonableAuthorityFigure Addam]], of course, knows better and instead has his own kindness rub off on Mythra.
* PrecisionFStrike:
** Has one as one of her death quotes.
-->'''Mythra:''' Addam, you ''dumbass!'' Pay attention!
** Not just Addam, but in this prequel (more than in the main game), Mythra seems particularly fond of using the word "dumbass" as an insult towards various characters.
* PurposelyOverpowered: When maxed out, Mythra is ''the'' most powerful Blade in the party, befitting her status in-story. However, she's also the hardest one to max out as she requires Max Community to be attained, which in turn requires the party to defeat the four very difficult [[BonusBoss Golden Monsters]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: [[spoiler:When Malos has his Artifice blast Auresco, where Milton and Mikhail were left behind, Mythra loses it and unleashes the full extent of her Aegis powers, conjuring Pneuma's secret sword and entering her artifice for a head-on clash against Malos. Her inability to control the resulting outbursts of power destroys Torna]].
* SupportingProtagonist: While Lora and Jin are the central characters of the expansion, particularly the latter, [[spoiler:Mythra has the most plot importance and character development]].
* SweetTooth:
** She favors desserts with Miracle Parfait being one of her favored pouch items.
** In a post-battle banter between her, Jin, and Aegaeon, Jin announces that he's next on dinner duty and is open to requests. Mythra immediately requests desserts with Aegaeon agreeing for something sweet until [[TheComicallySerious Jin]] shuts them down, saying that dessert isn't dinner.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: She and Brighid do not get along and often snipe at one another, and her relationship with most of the rest of group save for Addam and [[MoralityPet Milton]] isn't the greatest either, at first.
* ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman: Her LethalChef cooking saves the day in a quest involving an Ardainian wanting food as disgusting as his mother used to make it.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Milton mentions Mythra's fondness for Cloud Sea Crab Sticks during the team's journey to Auresco. However, since those aren't available in the prequel, her liked pouch items are Bunnit-Stuffed Peppers and [[SweetTooth Miracle Parfait]] - especially given the latter is the ''only'' recipe she herself can make that actually turns out really well.
* {{Tsundere}}: Just as in the main game, she is a prickly Type A. She does show her softer side around Addam and Milton from time to time.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: {{Justified}}; Mythra is the Aegis and her Driver is the Legendary Hero Addam after all, so it's quite a surprise that Lora and Jin can match her and Addam blow-for-blow in their initial encounter.
* UnskilledButStrong: Brighid calls her out after their battle for being powerful but lacking finesse, calling her a simpleton as a result (which is ironic given that Mythra is very much a GeniusBruiser [[spoiler:as a supercomputer AI given life]]).
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: Not so much normally unlike Malos, but when she's on her RoaringRampageOfRevenge [[spoiler:because of Malos attacking Torna's capital, where the party left Milton,]] she doesn't care about what's in her path other than killing Malos, firing Siren's WaveMotionGun at Malos even when he's dodging it and making her hit Torna.

to:

* ActionGirl: Now that Blades are directly playable, we get to see Mythra in combat outside of Blade Specials and cutscenes, and it is ''glorious''.
* AdultChild: She has the body of a young adult woman but behaves like a BrattyTeenageDaughter to Addam and to the rest of the team. Like Malos, she's only a few years old at best, so this kind of behavior makes sense
->See [[Characters/XenobladeChronicles2PyraAndMythra her page]] for her.
She also often voices her displeasure at the party taking
tropes on {{Sidequest}}s.
