Added DiffLines:

* IconicItem: He often carries around a tablet, which he uses to plan, take notes, and remember important details that could help the wombats solve their problem.

Added DiffLines:

* NeatFreak: While not to the extent of Mr. E, Malik likes things to be clean and doesn't like messes. In "Me Time," he spends his "me time" cleaning up his desk. In "A Room of Our Own," the conflict of the episode is set in motion when he gets frustrated with Zadie for not cleaning up her messes. He also dislikes mud, as shown in "Malik Gets Muddy" and "Game Changer."

Added DiffLines:

* ColorMotif: Zeke's favorite color is blue, as mentioned in "Secret Tunnels" and "A Boxful of Snout." Blue represents his innocence. He wears a blue shirt and his beloved stuffy, Snout, is blue in color.

Added DiffLines:

* RoseHairedSweetie: She has pink hair and is a kindhearted lady who lets a lot slide.

Added DiffLines:

* ArtisticLicenseBiology: In real life, emerald tree boa snakes start out as red-orange and turn green at around four months old. Sammy is 7 years old and is still orange. However, he could be orange to distinguish him from his dad.

* TantrumThrowing: In "Zoom In Zadie," he keeps throwing tantrums like a child when he can't draw perfect squares, including tossing his failed squares all over the places.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Womanchild}}: Downplayed. She is a competent and well-functioning adult, but she collects toy firetrucks, needs bedtime stories to go to sleep, and likes sliding up and down a fire pole. This is a positive example, since it's likely that her love of childlike things is why she's a great FriendToAllChildren.

Added DiffLines:

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: In "The Treeborhood Carnaval," his favorite food is revealed to be mofongo.

Added DiffLines:

* NervousTics: Every time he gets nervous, his feathers go "poof."

Added DiffLines:

* HiddenDepths: In "Magic Tricky," it's revealed that he knows exactly one magic trick, where he makes a golf ball disappear.

* CharacterDevelopment: Starting in "The Treeborhood Photo Album," he slowly starts softening up toward others. For example, he happily told Zadie about the history of the Everything Emporium and let her have a photo of it, whereas, in older episodes, he would get annoyed at her. He later becomes good friends with Louisa in "Runway Recycling." He still gets annoyed with the wombats in episodes like "A Boxful of Snout" and "Color Fun," but it is progress.

* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Zeke, though he won't admit it. Mr. E seems to like Zeke more than the other wombats, hugging him in "Summerweenie Halloweenie," headpatting him in "The Mighty Zeke," giving him free candy in "Measure for Measure," and letting him be his helper in "Helper For the Day." In "Zeke's Collection Selection," one of Zeke's special memories is the two of them playing hopscotch together.

* MoralityPet: Downplayed as Mr. E is not an evil character, but although he does care for he rest of the Treeborhood, he acts grumpy most of the time. The only character he’s outwardly and consistently affectionate towards is Ellie. He’d do anything and everything for Ellie, even if it involves the wombats.
* NiceGirl: She patches up injuries, is reliable, and will gladly listen to Zeke talk for hours.
