He's also almost untouchable due to his reflexes, along with having a great deal of potential power thanks to his magic-eating ring, with him having solved many crises that nobody besides his adoptive grandfather, one of the three strongest demons in the netherworld, could've done anything about.
* BadassOnPaper: The accomplishments that got him his ever-growing in-universe reputation as a colossal badass are very real, but you'd never guess it from looking at him.
* BigEater: Iruma is capable of eating even the most impossibly large amount of food, like it was nothing. No wonder he got a magic ring associated with ''Gluttony''.
* BookDumb: He has difficulty understanding the questions on his tests. Because of this he actually scores ''lower'' than Clara. * ButtMonkey: Poor, poor Iruma. When he was a toddler, he was used as fishing bait by his father. Even after gaining SuperReflexes from having to survive comically depraved levels of ParentalNeglect, he takes the brunt of the story's verbal and physical slapstick.
* CharacterDevelopment: For a good part of the early story, he didn't really have much character to him beyond being a nice guy with a horrible childhood, which he actually gets called out on by Ameri. He starts developing a backbone and personal ambitions as time goes on.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Iruma's uncanny ability to dodge any and all harm coming at him. He gained this after so many close calls with death working the countless jobs his worthless parents dumped onto him.

* SuperReflexes: Due to him being in life-threatening situations since he could walk, he is extremely good at dodging. It's even been described that his Evade Skill is infinite while his Attack Power is zero.

* TemptingFate: He tries to constantly avoid drawing attention to himself, especially after hearing the demon school song where they sing about eating humans. Unfortunately things that happen around him end up drawing more attention to him, such as when he thinks being given the lowest rank wouldn't make him stand out. Which normally may have happened, except the school newspaper wrote an article about what he did during the ranking test. Everyone being subjected to his ring's demonic howling didn't help matters either. His grandfather will also unintentionally draw attention to him as well, such as taking him to school in a fancy wagon, complete with Opera rolling out a red carpet and announcing that he's arrived.
* TokenHuman: The only human in the entire series (disregarding his parents and minor human characters from flashbacks, since they are never seen interacting with Iruma in the present of the story).
* UnluckilyLucky: In many ways he can be considered lucky, as following his adoption by Sullivan several things in his life seem to chance upon going happily for him, such as gaining Azz and Clara as friends, speeding through the ranks due to stumbling upon various things, and winning prizes for lottery-type things quite a few times. However, he can also be considered unlucky since his terrible parents made him learn how to survive unfortunate circumstances ''since he was a toddler'', he's near-constantly getting into dangerous situations even after being adopted by Sullivan, and all his attempts to stay unnoticed out of fear towards being eaten if anybody figures out he's a human fail in ways that make him stand out more and more. Overall it's very difficult to know where his luck actually lies.

* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: The anime has them make their animated debut in episode 8, during a segment adapting Ch. 17 of the manga, which is 19 chapters before they would officially introduce themselves in the manga.
* BlackSheep: Urala, the oldest son of the Valac family, is [[OnlySaneMan much more serious]] compared to the natural {{Cloudcuckooland}} that makes up the rest of his family, to the point Kalego thought they actually kidnapped him and sympathizes with him "resisting those genes". However, despite not going along with his family's craziness, it is clear that he still loves them and they love him back.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: All of them are just as weird as Clara, except for Urala.
* EyesAlwaysShut: Clara's mother, who takes this a bit further than Stolas Suzy in that we have yet to see her open them at all. Well, in the manga anyway. She does occasionally open them in the anime, with the final episode of Season 1 having her have them open for the majority of her screen-time.
* TheGhost: Clara always mentions her father alongside the rest of her family, but he's never seen with them.
* MassiveNumberedSiblings: Counting Clara, there are three brothers and three sisters.
* MotorMouth: When the mom first meets Iruma and Azz, she speaks incredibly quickly with high energy about how happy she is to have them caring for her, showing where Clara got that from.
* ThePowerOfCreation: Given their the family line from whom Clara gets her power, all of them (besides the parent that married into the family) obviously have the ability to re-create anything they've seen before.
* SpontaneousChoreography: They always introduce themselves this way in the anime.
