Forensics determined that her death was not an accident when they find car headlight glass and chipped auto paint on the rail she was pushed over. As soon as Gage and Sydney are sent to find the car used in her murder, which was reported stolen, he apprises Alex of the situation, concluding that the secret message Sammy got across to his son was that he avenge him for his convictions and arranges protection for everyone involved in the trial.

* BigNo: At the beginning of the episode after the trial when she is exiting the mall after spending the last four hours shopping and just before she could get into her car, she lets this out as another car charges at her and pushes her off the roof of the parking garage, resulting in her instantaneous death.

In addition, after tearfully coming forward and telling Walker what really happened, tipping him off to Ricardo's killer in the process, he gets community service, but doesn't face any serious punishment.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: After witnessing Loco kill Ricardo, he should have told the police, but he was way too scared to do so that he ended up buying a gun and started carrying it in his backpack, and later accidentally shot Faith while trying to stop Carlos from doing so as part of his initiation into the gang.
