* FauxAffablyEvil: Surprisingly, Ock can be quite cordial in the right situations, which serves to highlight when he's not. One good instance would be in "Venom Bomb", where he actually ''complements'' Spidey for his scientific acumen... only to turn around and use him as bait for the Venom Goblin while he finishes the Venom cure. Another instance would be in "Anti-Venom" when Arnim Zola introduces him to Michael Morbius, who had read extensively on Ock's papers and even asked a question about the symbiote. Ock works together with Morbius to create the Anti-Venom symbiote, but being the InsufferableGenius that he is, takes sole credit but notes Morbius's "minor" contribution. Even when Morbius outs how to disable Anti-Venom, Ock doesn't berate him for it and instead says it's AllAccordingToPlan.

* RouguesGalleryTransplant: Zigzagged. When Kraven first shows up he's primarily White Tiger's enemy but in his later appearances he's focused on Spider-Man.

* AffecctionateGestureToTheHead: In the episode where he joins the Avengers Hulk is so excitedd to have his "little buddy" around that he gives Spidey constant noogies. Spidey is fine with a first but he ''does'' begin avoiding Hulk a little bit in the episode to prevent it from happening too much.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Sometimes his willingness to trust in people can land him into serious trouble. Peter's trust in Norman Osborn was misplaced for a long time in the beginning of the series as reveled when he became the Goblin. However, Osborn has changed since losing his memories and has since tried to make amends. Still, [[spoiler: this turns against him in the worst possible way when Scarlet Spider and Ock abuse his trust to betray him and revel his secret identity.]]

* AllLovingHero: Not so much in season 1, but begins to show it in season 2 onwards, with it only becoming more pronounced with each passing season. So much so that he's willing to forgive and even befriend people who previously tried to kill him depending on the circumstance. Good examples include welcoming [[spoiler: Cloak and Dagger]] onto his team with open arms despite them having been on Taskmaster's due to having seen good in them previously. There's also his genuine belief that Sandman and Rhino can do good as long as they have a guiding hand, and that Norman can grow into a decent human being if he just tries. Furthermore his desire to help Vulture despite the trouble the avian hybrid has caused, his mentoring of Agent Venom despite his bad history with both the symbiote and it's current host, and his ability to understand why [[spoiler: Rhino]] would betray the team for a chance to be [[IJustWantToBeNormal normal again]] all while not holding a grudge towards any of them. The best part? It works more often than not.

* ArchEnemy: He ''hates'' Ock and with good reason. It's quite clear that, even if since it's a kids show and he's a good guy they can't come out and say it, he wants very badly to kill Ock.

* BrutalHonesty: When Peter starts agonising [[spoiler: about how he needs to save the city]] in the 4th season premiere, he points that Spidey couldn't even save himself, having just saved his life.

* CompositeCharacter: ''Might'' be this for [[ComicBook/ScarletSpider Kaine Parker]], Peter's formerly evil and reluctantly heroic clone, and Ezekiel. While he's got the colour scheme, the powers and the [[GoodIsNotNice attitude]] of Kaine [[spoiler: and as revealed by "Force of Nature", a degree of his scarring, and cropped hair]] and the belief that he's a monster, he alludes to being 'the first spider'. On the the other hand, Ock refers to him as a failed experiment which he created and Scarlet himself notes how Ock experimented on him, adding that he was never raised by anyone and that he doesn't actually have a real name. Ock having Spidey at his mercy appears to be a significant BerserkButton. The fact that he and Ock hate each other is something that comes from Kaine, however, as is his peculiar protectiveness of Spidey.

In "Damage," after his camera crew filmed Spidey and his team's entire takedown of the Wrecking Crew, he claimed it was a sham orchestrated by the webhead. Even in season three, when Spidey's popularity among the public increased due to his time with the Avengers, Jameson still wouldn't stop slandering him, and even chastises the ''populace'' for praising Spider Man

* AdaptationalHeroism: Once he gets past his ChronicVillainy, he actually gets to be a decently standup parent for Harry and, as the Iron Patroit, engages in some genuine heroism. Even back when he was a villain, he wasn't nearly as much of a 99Jerkass00 as his main 616-counterpart, unless he was transformed in The Goblin.
