Beings of immense destruction caused when two Rules that are diametrically opposed to one another collide. They come in two forms: Berserk shadows versions of mythological figures, or the owner themselves going berserk, should the people that caused the error serve as the original owners of their Artifacts.

Beings of immense destruction caused when two Rules that are diametrically opposed to one another collide. They come in two forms; Berserk shadows versions of mythological figures, or the owner themselves going berserk, should the people that caused the error serve as the original owners of their Artifacts.

* BigDamnKiss: One of the ways to get rid of them is for the two beings that summoned it to kiss either on the lips or on their hand that has the magic symbol. Other ways is just defeating berserk the Transient, which sends them back to their world.
* DivideByZero: What causes them to come into being. Two rules that are at odds with each other causes the App to break down and either cause the owner to go crazy or summon a shadow of the owner as an engine of destruction.

* GodzillaThreshold: When an Exceptions breaks out, most fighters usually put aside their differences to take it down.

* WalkingShirtlessScene: Like his Exception peers, except that he is significantly bit more covered than them.

Arc's exception and the original owner of Arc's chains Sacred Artifact. She is none other than [[UsefulNotes/JoanOfArc Jeanne d'Arc]] herself. She was the figure who led France's army to victory in the [[UsefulNotes/TheHundredYearsWar Hundred Years War]] and was proclaimed a saint before being burned for being accused of being a witch. Summoned when an enraged Arc collided with the Protagonist over blaming them for Babylon's (self-inflicted) wounds.

* BurnTheWitch: Her art depicts her being tied to an iron cross as flames surrounds her, a homage to her final fate.

* PuzzleBoss: As a result of EnemySummoner trope above, any attempt to banish either her or the Exceptions she summoned individually will just result in said Exception being immediately resummoned, thus needing to banish them all at once to make it stick. Luckily, with Nyarlathotep's help and Ophion, Oniwaka, and Zabaniyya [[TheBusCameBack being called back along with the Exceptions]], its pulled off.

* FatBastard: Very chubby, and very, very dangerous.

* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Considered that he is real-life Shiva's incarnation, this is no surprise.
