* BitchSlap: Delivers brutal ones to each of Julian's bullies.

* DreadfulMusician: Lloyd's singing is so awful that even Suho's loving parents asked him to never, ever sing. His music teacher hurled a pipe organ at him for trying to sing during lessons while a priest declared him a demon for trying to sing along at church. [[spoiler:Lloyd's singing is so awful that a demon of Hell more powerful than any swordmaster recoils in agony from listening to his voice. Even Javier covers his ears in aura to block out the sound of Lloyd's singing voice.]] When told that the only way to reach the Mermaid kingdom is to have them determine if he's a friend of foe by singing, both Javier and Lloyd think it's a bust from the get-go, only being convinced to try it when the sea captain tells them the tale of how he met and was rescued by the mermaids. Since he'd fallen overboard at sea at the time, [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome his singing was understandably terrible from his lack of composure and struggling to keep his head above water]], but despite that, the mermaids still helped him because they didn't pay attention to rhyme or tone, but how true the singer's sincerity is. Lloyd does indeed give it a go, and it appears to be working... [[spoiler:[[BaitAndSwitch only for blood to burst from the listeners' ears]] and them to attack en masse at the "Declaration of War". When Lloyd confronts the captain over this, he punches Lloyd in the face for "reciting some curse" instead of singing, causing Lloyd to break down in tears]].

* LaserGuidedKarma: Lloyd makes sure that Diego suffers greatly for all the bullying he subjected Julian to. When he later comes across Julian coercing two workers on his family land into beating each other up for idle amusement otherwise their families might starve, he immediately asks if he can join in, using his own noble status to pummel Julian as fellow nobles of higher standing (the other option being having Julian fight [[MasterSwordsman Javier]], and makes sure to include this incident as an example of his behaviour whilst sending an appeal for Julian to rejoin the royal academy as a "favour" to his father.

!!Lloyd Frontera (Suho Kim)

* TheHighQueen: She does care for her subjects and attempts to strive to be this for them. In the novel's plot, she turned into a tyrant after she was nearly assassinated and lost her left arm in the process.

Naturally, it doesn't even occur to him that someone might have a crush on him, and the person is question is none other than [[spoiler:[[TheHighQueen the Queen Regnant]] herself]].

* ShipperWithAnAgenda: PlayedForLaughs. Lloyd supports his brother, Julian's marriage to [[spoiler:Princess Serajard of Asfahan]] in an attempt to escape from Alicia's authority. Julian is married, but Lloyd doesn't achieve his intended objective.

* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler: After nearly killing himself by accidentally using a Triple Core Mana Blast, Lloyd inadvertently unlocks his own Manaheart, a prerequisite for using advanced sword techniques.]]

* TheAce: As befitting of the original main character of that world, Javier is incredibly talented in everything he does, becoming a Sword Master in his twenties when most people only achieve that after years if not decades of training and is generally considered a prodigy.

* TheAce: Lloyd goes from a spoilt brat to the most outstanding estate developer who is hailed as a UniversallyBelovedLeader by his people. Queen Alicia views Lloyd as the most competent citizen of the kingdom and often commissions him for important projects.

While Lloyd will never approach Javier's level, he's still very strong in his own right from dumping his RP in mana-boosting skills [[spoiler:and even giving himself a Manaheart by throwing a Mana Burst that would have otherwised killed him]]. As a result, nobles expecting an easy duel with him [[CurbStompBattle are quickly pounded into the pavement by his shovel]].

* KilledOffscreen: His original fate in the "Knight of Blood and Iron" novel is to unceremoniously die in a ditch after being jumped by bandits in an alleyway. Due to Lloyd cleaning up corruption in the imperial capital and at the Academy, Julian is spared and becomes his school's finest pupil.

Although the queen is strict and demanding towards Lloyd, she does appreciate his achievements and reward him generously. She promptly fulfils all his requests related to work, no matter how strange they sound.

* RankScalesWithAsskicking: She is the queen and one of the strongest sword masters of the story.

He turns him into a debt slave who has to work off the money he defrauded the family (amounting to 520 years of hard labour) with his only other option being [[JoinOrDie taken to court for summary execution for his crimes]].On going through Lupellan's belongings, Lloyd finds a book of dark magic that apparently gives him an idea to help the estate...only to rush straight to Tordes toiling away in the mines to give him the [[SarcasmMode good news]] -- the book contained a spell that lets him turn a Ghoul into a controllable corpse, so Tordes can keep working for the Fronteras for the whole 520 years!

* BadBoss: ''Specifically'' with

* ConflictKiller: Lloyd's inability to gain Julian's trust is quickly alleviated once he learns of Diego's bullying of Julian; he subsequently delivers Diego a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Lloyd makes sure that Diego suffers greatly for all the bullying he subjected Julian to.

However he's so trusting that he doesn't realize he's being manipulated or exploited by his Commanding Knight until Lloyd exposes the fraud. A lot of the massive debt that the Frontera Estate has accrued at the beginning of the story is implied to be the result of Arcos simply being too easy of a mark. [[GrewASpine He mostly outgrows this over time,]] even showing signs becoming more ruthless like Lloyd with regards to enemies.

* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Always presents as a proper noble lady but she has her momemnts:

** She doesn't hesitate to fight monsters to save her people, stabbing a huge wolf monster with dagger in one instance and [[ChairmanOfTheBrawl smashing a dog-sized locust with a chair]] in another.

* MundaneUtility: [[spoiler:He accidentally acquires a Manaheart which is what human swordsman usually gain after years of intense training, granting them superhuman strength and endurance [[MagicKnight as well as other mystical abilities.]] His immediate thought is how much easier it will make digging quarries for future construction projects.]]

* DemotedToExtra: In-universe. In the original novel that Suho read, Javier is the central character whose actions change the world. But due to Lloyd's actions, Javier retains his position as a guard and servant of the Fronteras and thus [[TheLancer acts as a subordinate to Lloyd.]]

* DragonInChief: [[TheLancer Heroically]] {{Inverted}} and PlayedForLaughs. Due to their different rankings in the social ladder, Javier can't directly retaliate against Lloyd's antics despite being far more powerful than Lloyd will ever be. Nonetheless, Javier often menages to provoke Lloyd via a StealthInsult, leading to comical moments where Lloyd uselessly tries to physically punish Javier, only for the knight to effortlessly repel him with one hand.

* EqualOpportunityEvil: Inverted seeing as how he's not technically evil despite what appearances may suggest. Lloyd will employ just about anyone, regardless of their age, gender or even species, as long as they have the kind of skills/resources that are necessary for construction work.
* FaceOfAThug: Normally his face is pretty average but he is prone to making absolutely demonic and villainous expressions. It's so bad that [[spoiler:a being from hell called his face scary and asked him if he was from hell.]]

* HeroicComedicSociopath: The lengths he goes through to exploit others and punish his enemies [[AntiHero can get outright devilish]] but he's so over-the-top about it that it's hilarious. That he genuinely gives the people working under him better lives despite his manipulations and that his enemies always deserve the treatment he gives them helps a lot.

* ImprovisedWeapon: Lloyd's primary weapon is a [[ShovelStrike shovel]] given his Korean background in construction. He tends to use the shovel like a sword after Javier teaches him some sword techniques though the basis of his techniques is bayonet training from his time in the military.

* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: Lloyd develops several abilities that are well suited to whatever situation he finds himself in, but [[JustifiedTrope justified]] InUniverse as he has a system that allows him to choose what ability he wants to develop in that moment. Many times he has to come up with some arbitrary excuse like carrying around a book about summoning or just being some sort of talented genius like how Javier naturally is with swordsmanship. Eventually, Javier trusts him enough to even help him come up with excuses for the eerily convenient new abilities he learns.

* WalkingShirtlessScene: After Scheherazade accidentally destroys most his clothes with an aura sword while sparring with Javier, Lloyd spends the rest of his time in Asfahan wearing nothing but boots, a pair of boxers, and robes worn like a cape. [[NakedPeopleAreFunny A couple people are rather bewildered by it]] but he cheerfully comes up with an excuse every time.

* BadBoss: He harassed and abused of the staff working on the Frontera mansion.
* BarredFromTheAfterlife: [[spoiler:A higher power gave Kim Suho his body and kicked him out of it. As far as the afterlife bureaucracy was concerned, he was considered to be neither alive nor dead. Since it was the first time such a thing had ever happened in this world and wasn't a thing expected to happen very often in the future either, the King of Hell decided to just keep him in Hell and prevent him from reincarnating until his body dies. After some heated arguments with Suho Kim in Lloyd's body, Suho finally helps give him a chance to .]]

* TheReliableOne: Lloyd trusts him manage all of his projects whenever he's not around, having realized how skilled he is, promising to pay him more if he keeps doing so.

* DissonantSerenity: After beating the daylights out of Diego, Viscount Lacona's son, Lloyd tells Julian not to worry, as Diego can't bully Julian if Diego is dead. Julian is creeped out that Lloyd can say this with [[DissonantSerenity such a bright, happy expression.]]
