This is why Rodcorte got them confused: The only difference between their names is that they're written slightly differently. To make it easier to tell who is being talked about, translators call him "Amemiya" instead.

One of the students killed during a terrorist attack. In Origin Ghost bypassed his ability to see into the future, allowing Ifrit to burn him to death alongside Kaoru and Misa Anderson. He and Misa are the only Bravers that remain on Murakami's group at Lambda.

She initially approached Amemiya because she thought he was the one who tried to save her when the ferry collapsed... and then got into a fight with him instead when she realized he was not Amamiya. The two only ended up actually dating and eventually marrying each other ''years'' later.

She didn't even use her powers ''that'' unethically since she still had learn how to sing and dance and everything else, she just got to take a few shortcuts on the way to becoming popular. However, with Amemiya more or less forcing everyone to join the Bravers she grew resentful and eventually quit on hostile terms. Since Vandalieu doesn't give a damn about active heroics and finds having a missionary group to be more useful than a mediocre special agent, she's allowed to happily pursue being (basically) an idol again. Izumi and co. also lampshade it at one point after seeing how much her idol activities have benefited Van on Lambda that she probably would have been far more valuable to the Bravers doing things like benefit concerts and PR than as the interrogator they forced her to be.

* BigBadWannabe: [[spoiler: In any other story, he would have been an actual threat, but here he's completely outclassed by genuine Gods, and ends up as nothing more than a footnote for an ever greater being.]]

* TheMentallyDisturbed: Unsurprisingly he became haunted by what he witnessed and did, being unable to sleep without drugs, but thanks to Van he has recovered for the most part.
