* StrategyVersusTactics: They decided to go for the Fast Forward in leg 9 because they were tired of finishing in last and wanted to win a leg for once. However, at the time they were in last place, and went for it knowing there was a good chance a team in front of them had already gone for it. They stuck with the Fast Forward even after they found out Sukhi & Jinder were currently in the process of doing the challenge, and as a modeling, time-based task (compared to any task of skill), they had no chance of making up time other than to have Sukhi & Jinder quit the task. This predictably dropped them to last place once again, only for them to be saved by a non-elimination.

** During the Dance Detour in Macau, after witnessing Meaghan & Natalie fail their first two attempts, they thought that the hockey girls finally had a challenge in which they were struggling. Meaghan & Natalie would complete the Detour on their very next try.

Though they still had a chance to survive, they missed several of their mussels at the Detour, allowing Ryan & Rob to overcome their Speed Bump and pass them, eliminating them in 5th.

Audrey then ran her had across the screen saying, "And engaged," while the "Currently in 1st Place" swept aside, and was replaced by "Engaged," with yet another "ding" sound.
* CallItKarma: Audrey said that she hoped Karma would catch up to Michel at the Mentos Roadblock after he and his brother U-Turned them earlier in the leg.

** Subverted at the kung fu Detour. Though Alain was able to easily learn the choreography due to having a black belt in karate, they ended up being the last team to finish the task because Audrey struggled.
** Averted at the stunt driving Roadblock. Alain assumed his job as a stunt performer would allow him to breeze through the task. Despite arriving first he was the last to complete the task.
* EvilGloating: Alain, when he showed up at the Mentos Roadblock after the U-Turn to find Michel struggling.
* EvilLaugh: Invoked by Alain, who used a fake evil laugh to express how he was feeling when he saw Michel struggling at the Mentos Roadblock.

The second time, Jinder even stood next to the clue box while saying, "I feel like we're missing something." It took Mickey & Pete telling them where the clue was to find it.
** When opening the door to their cab after arriving in Paris in Leg 8, Sukhi accidentally bashed it against a pole, prompting the taxi driver to kick them both out.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: As they were arriving at the Pit Stop in Leg 8, they noticed a wedding happening. Alain & Audrey would get engaged when they checked in two places later.
