This page is a list of characters in The 15 Keys stories and tropes that apply to them.

Zach is the most seen protagonist in the series as most of the story is told from his point of view. He is 18 during 2014, where the events of The 15 Keys Rising are set.

Monica is a cyborg in The 15 Keys Rising, having most of her body removed and a M-003 (Barebones) cyborg body model. She is one of the main protagonists early in the series but appears less often later due to her plot being resolved Early. Her plot sections are replaced from then on by Aelitas. She is 18 during 2014
* ActionGirl: She can liqify and cool metal for storage in her body, and uses newly cooled throwing knives to fight

* DualWeild: His swords are built for this

An {{Expy}} character. Aelita is a primary protagonist, appearing nearly as often as Zach does and is one of the only 5 characters to receive their own point of view chapters. She originates from the cartoon Code Lyoko and is 17 during 2014
* AlwaySaveTheGirl: Zach gave her one of his hearts, and later even gave her his HF Katana.

!!Jacob
Jacob is the youngest Archangel and a primary protagonist throughout the series. Jacob acts as Zachs best friend, brother figure and sometimes battle partner. He is 19 during 2014 [[spoiler: though technically his physical form is 3600 years old by 2014]]
* Badass: He is the only one of his kind to be banished to Earth, but oh my do they fear him.
** BadassNormal: He is also incompatible with cybernetic implants.

Zach is the main protagonist during all four stories in this saga, and is a 17 year old boy in 2013, and a 20 year old man in 2016. Zach is the last living Angean, and is the only living user of The Chronos Power.

* TheHero: Zach is the main protagonist of the 4 15 Keys stories.
* ArtificialLimbs: As of 2016 Zach gained a bionic right arm.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: He has this personality when it comes to weapons.
* {{BFS}}: He managed to pick up a gear blade and swing it, though it did take effort.

Monica is a secondary character in The 15 Keys Rising and it's sequel. When these stories begin she has become a cyborg with white blood called fuel cells. Monica is Zach's "sister" and they both care for each other deeply.

Tropes that apply to her are:
* ActionGirl: Monica is not only one of these, but she loves being called one.
* {{Badass}}: Monica is by far the most badass character in The 15 Keys Rising.
* ArtificialLimbs: Monica is a cyborg after all.
* LikeBrotherAndSister: Zach and Monica both became this in the time between 2013 to 2016. There is even a part near the finale when they both say they love each other as siblings.

Jacob is the 8th archangel of heaven, and commonly seen as nothing special among the ranks. By 2013 Jacob was the last Archangel who could be on Earth, and in 2016 his new mission, defeat the devil, which is seen as a suicide mission.

Tropes that apply to him are:
* TookALevelInBadass: Jacob wen't from being overpowered by an Angean with no apparent skill, to defeating the freakin' devil himself!
* BigBrotherInstinct: Harm Zach or Monica and he WILL kill the hell out of you.
* DualWield: Jacob uses two soul blades. This has stopped in 2016, but resumed in 2017.
* NoKillLikeOverkill: This is how he defeats the devil.
!!Brett
Brett is a character in The 15 Keys Rising and one of the teams former school-mates. Brett is the only hero that is purely human, but has enhancements injected into his body that make him seem as powerful as Zach is.
* His theme is Red Sun
Tropes that apply to him are:
* BadassNormal: Brett has no supernatural side abilities, and must fight SOLELY physically, awesome with TheReveal that he is human
* SayMyName: He does this to nearly anyone he wants to talk to who is nearby, but not near enough to speak with normally.
* NoIndoorVoice: Brett is not a quiet person.
* GambitRoulette: Brett did this when looking for everyone with meta-power, or enhancements. He is the one who discovers that the ENTIRE of his and Zach's former year group has been augmented, and most aren't human anyway.

* LikeBrotherAndSister: Zach and Monica both became this in the time between 2013 to 2016. There is even a part near the finale when they both say they love each other as siblings.
