* AmbiguouslyEvil: She's certainly sinister and ruthless, but the only time she has actually opposed the heroes was during the events of "The Disappeared", where she collaborated with a non-Dathomirian Force cult to harvest the Living Force from people for use. By the end of ''Son of Dathomir'', she seems to have settled as an evil manipulator, but one who is largely focused on her own goals, with little interest in the galaxy-spanning events of the Clone Wars. Subverted when she reveals Sidious was supposed to make her his right hand.

* SquishyWizard: As mentioned above, she is really powerful, but prefers to focus on supporting her sisters through her magic rather than getting physical unless absolutely necessary. Most notably, she tortures Dooku with a voodoo doll, threatening to destroy him if he does not withdraw his Separatist forces. But when Grievous interrupts, she turns intangible and escapes. When she's preoccupied with protecting Darth Maul while he escapes, Grievous finishes her off for good. That said, this seems to be simply a preference, as shown in "The Disappeared" when she doesn't hesitate to challenge [[MasterSwordsman Mace Windu]] to a sword fight and actually holds her own for the brief period seen. This hints [[CastFromHitPoints that the only thing holding her back was the degradation of her body from the overuse of her magics]] and being so close to her goal of draining Queen Julia made her decide it was worth the risk.

* AdaptationalWimp: In ''Legends'', even after being decimated by the Empire, the Dathomirian Nightsisters were capable to mobilize impressive forces with minimal coalitions. A single high-rank witch like Silri lent the Zann Consortium many Nightsisters who mastered Force drain and rode rancors, forming a shock troop contingent so powerful that it could go toe to toe with Imperial land forces, and other posterior clans were still powerful enough to be threats to Jedi and Sith alike, including Luke Skywalker of all people. In contrast, current Canon established that the few guerrilleras we saw under Mother Talzin's command in ''The Clone Wars'' were actually all the (wo)manpower the Nightsisters had before being nigh-exterminated.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Her ''Legends'' counterpart stayed as a character who only actually opposed other villains like Dooku and who only acted out to recover her own power after losing it. Meanwhile, the canonical ''Son of Dathomir'' reveals she had a deal with Darth Sidious where he would make her his right hand to rule the galaxy.
* AdaptationalWimp: Her last fighting scene in ''Legends'' has her briefly crossing blades with Windu and making him retreat, implying she could have given him a hell of a fight. However, the canonical ''Son of Dathomir'' reveals she's actually not very good in swordfighting, which now implies she would have been soundly defeated by Windu had the duel dragged out. When she attacks Sidious while possessing Dooku's body, the former says she has nothing of the latter's fencing ability, and then proceeds to show it by defeating her in just a couple moves; this rules out she could be anywhere near the level of Windu, who held his own against Sidious and might have disarmed him legitimately in their own duel.

There's also the fact that her ultimate goal turned out to be revenge against Sidious for taking Maul away from her.

* RelatedInTheAdaptation: In the ''Legends'' continuity, Darth Maul's biological mother was a Nightsister from Talzin's clan called Kycina, who was explicitly revolting against Talzin by giving Maul away. In Canon, as revealed in ''Son of Dathomir'', Talzin herself is Maul's mother instead. While ''Son of Dathomir'' was actually based on the script of ''The Clone Wars'' episodes cancelled by Disney, this relation seems to have been an addition by the latter, as a short ''Legends'' story by James Luceno established clearly Talzin and Kycina as different people.

* WrongContextMagic: Played with. Nightsisters call their art "magic(k)", but it is technically meant to be just an exotic school of Force powers resembling Sith alchemy. That said, some of their magical abilities are pretty unique within the established ''Star Wars'' universe, like Talzin's way to teleport objects and herself (though ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker'' definitely broke its uniqueness) and her usage of voodoo dolls. Windu lampshades this trope by telling Talzin that magic is just an illusion, though this could be easily just him taunting her, given that at that moment he was seeing first hand how real it was.

That said, this seems to be simply a preference, as shown in "The Disappeared" when she doesn't hesitate to challenge [[MasterSwordsman Mace Windu]] to a sword fight and actually holds her own for the brief period seen, which hints [[CastFromHitPoints that the only thing holding her back was the degradation of her body from the overuse of her magics]] and being so close to her goal of draining Queen Julia made her decide it was worth the risk.

In contrast, current Canon established that the meager guerrillas few guerrilleras we saw under Morther Mother Talzin's command in ''The Clone Wars'' were actually all the manpower (wo)manpower the Nightsisters had before being exterminated.

* UnskilledButStrong: Savage has little formal training and, as Dooku says, "no technique", but he's so strong that he can destroy a dozen Separatist droids with a single Force wave, a blow from him sent Dooku flying across a room, and at one point he momentarily overpowers both Dooku ''and'' Ventress with the Force. He gradually becomes more skilled with training from Maul.

* RelatedInTheAdaptation: In the ''Legends'' continuity, Darth Maul's biological mother was a Nightsister from Talzin's clan called Kycina. In the Canon, as revealed in ''Son of Dathomir'', Talzin herself is Maul's mother instead. Interestingly enough, ''Son of Dathomir'' was actually based on the script of ''The Clone Wars'' episodes cancelled by Disney, which implies she might have been retconned to be Maul's true mother in ''Legends'' too.

With all due respect, assuming that the relationship between her and the Nightsister she speaks of as romantic personally is fine, but seeing as there's no solid proof, I feel that the trope should not be used. She is Ambiguously Gay/Bi, at best, until we get official confirmation..

* BiTheWay: In addition to her ShipTease with Cal, one of her in-ship dialogues has her talking about a fellow Nightsister that she was very close to when she was younger, to the point of hoping they would be together when they grew up.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Her appearances in ''Clone Wars'' show that she has a history together with Dooku. Further appearances in Canon, however, revealed she actually had even more history together with ''Sidious'', who promised her to make her a Sith and his right hand, only for him to kidnap Maul and turn his back on her. Canon also has her as Maul's biological mother instead of being his mother's clan leader (see RelatedInTheAdaptation below).

* AmbiguouslyEvil: She's certainly sinister, but the only time she has actually opposed the heroes was during the events of "The Disappeared", where she collaborated with a non-Dathomirian Force cult to harvest the Living Force from people for use. By the end of ''Son of Dathomir'', she seems to have settled as a sinister manipulator, but one who is largely focused on her own goals, with little interest in the galaxy-spanning events of the Clone Wars.

* LargeAndInCharge: She towers over all the other Nightsisters by a head at least. That includes Ventress, who's 5 feet 10 inches tall. In fact, she's barely shorter than Savage after his transformation.

* OrcusOnHerThrone: Despite seemingly being more powerful than [[TheChessmaster Mother Talzin]] herself (given Talzin having to rely on her to cast the reanimation spell), she seems content with remaining subordinate to the latter.

Possibly justified by Daka being ostensibly too old to fight and serve as an active villain.
