The twisted products of Cartman's imagination. They were part of his Christmas story in the Christmas special, then later were reincarnated in Imaginationland with the evil characters.

* BeehiveHairdo
* BerserkButton: God help you if you swear with her in plain sight.
** In an episode, the parents feel forced to follow the kids everywhere, and when Cartman insults Kyle while Sheila is near... well, maybe it's a good thing that we don't see what happens next.
* BigBad: Shares this position in TheMovie with Saddam Hussein.
* [[BigDamnHeroes Big Damn Hero:]] Saves Sharon from angry [[{{Joisey}} Jerseyites]] in "It's A Jersey Thing".
* CatchPhrase: Whatwhatwhaaaat?!
* CovertPervert: She's not nearly as much of a prude when it comes to her sex life with her husband.
* FieryRedhead
* HairTriggerTemper
* HeelFaceTurn: At the end of TheMovie.
* HiddenDepths: The Jersey side of her doesn't really come out unless she gets around other people from Jersey.
* {{Jerkass}}: Especially in TheMovie. [[CharacterDevelopment She gets better.]]
** [[OutOfFocus Not nearly as funny now though]].
** MeanCharacterNiceActor: Creator/MaryKayBergman, who voiced her in the film, was very nice in her life, even giving close friend Creator/TaraStrong a dog for her 26th birthday (the last one Bergman was actually around for). [[note]] Who, by the way, is Canadian.[[/note]]
* JewishMother
* KarmaHoudini: One might say she got off way too easily for instigating a Canadian holocaust, killing Terrence and Phillip despite Kyle's warnings and nearly causing TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt.
** Although to be fair, Kenny's wish at the end of the film restores everything to they way it was in the beginning, and during the closing number, she pats Terrance and Phillip on the shoulder, calling them "super sweet."
* KnightOfCerebus: She is played very seriously in TheMovie.
* KnightTemplarParent: I move we rename this trope "The Sheila".
* MamaBear: Taken way too far, as she is willing to ''literally start wars'' to protect her children against things they really don't need protecting against.
* {{Moral Guardian|s}}: A scathing parody.
--> Remember what the MPAA says. "[[ValuesDissonance Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words!]]"
* MyBelovedSmother
* [[spoiler:ANaziByAnyOtherName: By the climax of the movie, she has Canadians being gunned down in the streets, ''death camps'' for Americans with Canadian ancestry, and fully endorses electric torture on children.]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero coupled with MyGodWhatHaveIDone: In the movie.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Her "moral crusades" were normally played for laughs, but in TheMovie [[spoiler:she single handedly causes World War III and subsequently the Apocalypse.]]
* OldShame[=/=]ThatManIsDead: Was born and raised in {{Joisey}}, moved as far away as she could, and went to great lengths to never let the truth be known.
* OutOfFocus: Hasn't appeared terribly often in later seasons.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Towards Canadians in TheMovie, despite the fact that her own adopted son is Canadian.
* TheSociopath: In TheMovie.
* ThinkOfTheChildren
* TookALevelInKindness: After the movie. See "A Very Crappy Christmas" and "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina".
* {{Tuckerization}}: Even if it's kinda unflattering to Sheila Stone.
* VillainDecay: Not nearly as abrasive in later appearances. Over the past eight seasons, Randy Marsh has taken the mantle of "parent who overreacts to things and causes problems".
* VillainousBreakdown: Involves [[MoralEventHorizon shooting Terrence and Phillip]].
* VillainousBSOD / HeroicBSOD: Gets one at the end of the movie, where she realized that she brought enough intolerance to the world to allow the second coming of Satan (and his boyfriend Saddam).
* VillainSong: "Blame Canada".
* TheVillainSucksSong: "Kyle's Mom is a Bitch".
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: In TheMovie.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: And how!

[[folder:Mr./Ms. Herbert/Janet Garrison]]

[[caption-width-right:320:(after his first sex-change operation)]]
->''"I tell you, there's some crazy stuff going on in this town."''

The boys' eccentric homeroom teacher throughout most of the series. He used to carry a sarcastic hand puppet with him (two, actually: Mr. Hat and Mr. Twig), but later left them behind. His gender and sexual preferences have been in constant flux.

* AnythingThatMoves: He's ''been'' anything that moves and back again at this point.
* ApatheticTeacher: When he's not busy belittling his students, he basically phones in his job.
* AxCrazy: Has tendencies of this.
* BadBadActing: His ventriloquist act...isn't.
* CharacterDevelopment: Complete with a ''StarWars'' style quest to come to terms with his sexuality. It... didn't entirely stick.
* CloudCuckoolander: He believes Mr. Hat and Mr. Twig to be sentient beings, for starters. [[spoiler:(Though eventually, it turns out ''[[TheCuckoolanderWasRight they are]]''.)]]
* ComedicSociopathy
* CompanionCube: Mr. Hat and Mr. Twig [[spoiler:subverted, as they actually are alive.]]
* DemotedToExtra: Originally the second-most prominent adult on the show, he's now limited to a single line in scenes inside the classroom.
* DepravedHomosexual: He's been a Depraved Homosexual, a Depraved Heterosexual, a PsychoLesbian... He's a depraved ''whatever''-his-orientation-is-at-the-moment. As Chef puts it:
-->"Children, there's a big difference between gay people and Mr. Garrison."
* DirtyCoward: In "Super Fun Time" he tries to sacrifice some children to save himself from gunmen.
-->Please, don't take me. Take the children, they're worth more for you!
* DynamicCharacter
* FirstLawOfGenderBending: Subverted in Season 12 when his female-to-male sex change operation turns out to be a success.
* FreudianExcuse: Inverted. He has been deeply tormented all his life because his father ''didn't'' molest him as a child.
* GayConservative: Despite his ever-changing sexual orientation he is generally depicted as being one of the town's Republicans rather than a Democrat.
* HairTriggerTemper: The only adult in South Park as remotely volatile as Eric Cartman.
* HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday: He was this way before coming out of the closet.
* {{Jerkass}}
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: Whenever he tries to teach children. From the first episode alone: "ChristopherColumbus discovered America and was the Indians' best friend. He helped the Indians win their war against Frederick Douglass, and freed the Hebrews from Napoleon, and discovered France." Becomes a RunningGag in later seasons when he tries to teach the children the plots of various popular plays and television shows, for example [[CrowningMomentOfFunny presenting the plots of Game of Thrones and Les Miserables as real history.]]
* SadistTeacher: His emotional imbalances cause him to be this quite often.
* StrawMisogynist:
-->Well I'm sorry, I just don't trust something that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.
* TransparentCloset: For the first few seasons.
* {{Transsexual}}: Became a woman in season 9 and back to a man in season 12.
* TurnInYourBadge
* YouAreWhatYouHate: He was quite homophobic in the early seasons before coming to terms with his sexuality.

Saddam Hussein was likely the main antagonist of the series in the earlier seasons, and the BigBad in TheMovie. Initially the dictator of Iraq, he was killed either by wild boars or in a Canadian "gas attack" after attempting to invade the country, he was sent to hell after he died. He was the main antagonist of "South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut". While technically deceased after TheMovie, was a recurring character until season 7, where he was captured by Canadian soldiers. He is arguably even worse than Cartman.
-----

* AxCrazy
* BackFromTheDead: After "Bigger Longer and Uncut", he went back to hell. [[RunningGag Where was he supposed to go, Detroit?]] Played more straight later, where he somehow comes back from Heaven (where he was last seen building chemical weapons) to attend Christopher Reeve's LegionOfDoom meeting, then (even later) become Prime Minister of Canada.

* DepravedHomosexual
* DirtyCoward: To an extent.
* EvilerThanThou: To Satan. Though, granted, [[AntiVillain that's not exactly hard to accomplish.]]
* EvilPlan: Many. He's taken over Canada by sneaking his troops in through the airlines, manipulated Satan into invading earth with his demons so Saddam could push him aside and take control, built chemical weapons plants in HEAVEN (even fooling God), and fooled all of Canada into electing him Prime Minister.
* FauxAffablyEvil: In spades.
-->'''"Hey buddy, relax, take a load off, I'm not hiding any bombs".'''
* ForTheEvulz: Frequently, perhaps the best example being when posing as the Canadian Prime Minister and [[CoolAndUnusualPunishment establishing all manner of seemingly trivial but surprisingly effective and life destroying laws]].
* FreudianExcuse: He explains that his parents were abusive in TheMovie. He might be telling the truth, but it is much more likely he was just lying to Satan so he'll forgive him (which was kind of the entire point of his song...)

** JerkWithAHeartOfJerk
* ManipulativeBastard
* MultipleChoicePast: How he died.
* MurderTheHypotenuse: He stabs Satan's "pussy" boyfriend Chris in order to get back with Satan. Not that it makes much difference - after all, where was Chris going to go, Detroit?
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Not only is he animated in the same style as the Canadians (which kinda made sense since he first appeared an episode starring Terrance and Phillip), but he's one of the few characters with a photo head (some others include Mr. Garrison [[Creator/DavidHasselhoff after his nose job]], Creator/BenAffleck in "How to Eat With Your Butt", and the little pink ChristinaAguilera monsters from "Timmy 2000").

->''"Haaaail Satan!"''

The twisted products of Cartman's imagination. They were part of his Christmas story in the Christmas special, then later were reincarnated in Imaginationland with the evil characters.
----

* [[spoiler:AntiChrist]]: Porcupiney's child.
* AxCrazy
* BigBadEnsemble: They pretty much become the de facto leaders of the evil imaginary characters in the Imaginationland trilogy.
* BitchInSheepsClothing
* CuteIsEvil
* DisneyCreaturesOfTheFarce
* ADogNamedDog: There's Squirrely the squirrel, Rabbity the rabbit, Beavery the beaver, Beary the bear, Porcupiney the porcupine, Skunky the skunk, Foxy the fox, Deery the deer, Woodpeckery the woodpecker, Mousey the mouse, and Chickadee-y the chickadee. The raccoon's name is not mentioned, but he's presumably named Racoony.
* EvilerThanThou: They are seen as this for all evil characters, including '''horror icons'''. To quote Jason, "Man I do not want to meet the kid who dreamed Those things up."
* EyeBeams
* FauxAffablyEvil: They are quite cheerful, when they're not trying to summon the AntiChrist or creating walls of fire to try to kill 8 year old kids.
* MadeOfEvil: WordOfGod says they are the most twisted things ever imagined, and everything from Cartman's mind.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Subverted.
* {{Sadist}}s: YES, very sadistic characters, even more than Cartman.

->''"[[BestServedCold Revenge is a dish best served... chili.]]"''

!!!!!!Voiced by: Toby Morton ("Scott Tenorman Must Die"), Trey Parker ("201")

A teenager who tricked Cartman into forking over ten dollars. He manages to get his way out of all of Cartman's revenge schemes until Cartman finally [[spoiler:has his parents killed]]. And [[spoiler:[[IAteWhat tricked Scott into eating them]]]]. Scott reappears as the BigBad of the two part "200/201" story, which reveals him as the new leader of the Ginger Separatist Movement and [[spoiler:Cartman's half-brother]].
----

* AntiVillain: Type I (debut) --> Type II (post-debut), he starts out as a more restrained anti-villain (as seen at the end of "Scott Tenorman Must Die"), but in "201", we see how he turned insane after Cartman tricked him into [[spoiler:eating his parents]].
* BigNo and BigOMG: When he realizes he just [[spoiler:ate his own parents]] and when Music/{{Radiohead}} saw him crying.
* TheBully: You almost start to feel sorry for Cartman for what Scott puts him through solely ForTheLulz, but course [[DisproportionateRetribution with what Cartman does next]]...
* TheCameo: Appeared briefly in "The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers" and "The Death of Eric Cartman."
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: See below.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: A manipulate bully of the highest order, though obviously pretty mortified by his parents' murder [[spoiler: which seems to make him a more redeemable character than Cartman [[LackOfEmpathy given his reaction later on]]]].
* EvilerThanThou: Subverted. It seems this way throughout "Scott Tenorman Must Die" with Scott constantly outdoing Cartman in schemes and sheer {{Jerkass}} antics, then Cartman takes a [[MoralEventHorizon far more monstrous step]]...
* EvilLaugh
* EvilRedhead
* HotMom: There were various men hidden in the Tenormans' yard watching Scott's mom taking off her bra.
-->'''Jimbo:''' Dear God, they're bigger than I ever imagined!
* IAteWhat
* [[spoiler:ImAHumanitarian]]: Cartman's final trick in "Scott Tenorman Must Die."
* {{Jerkass}}
* [[spoiler: LukeIAmYourFather]]: In "201," he tells Cartman [[spoiler:that they are half-brothers]].
* ManipulativeBastard
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney:
-->'''Scott:''' You really care that much about sixteen measly dollars? I mean, what can you buy with $16? My parents give me a $50-a-week allowance. This pittance means nothing to me.
* SmugSnake: That is, until Cartman [[MoralEventHorizon has the last laugh]] at the end of "Scott Tenorman Must Die".
** He still is one when he returns for "201" and the video game "Tenorman's Revenge", albeit now an insane one.
* TeensAreMonsters
* VillainBall: Looking back on it now, it may have been better just to give Cartman the damn money, [[KickTheDog rather than burning it in front of his face]].
* VillainExitStageLeft: Done in "201." The only response by anyone is Jesus asking, "Who's the creepy ginger kid?"
* [[spoiler:WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds]]

[[folder: [=ManBearPig=]]]
->'''AlGore:''' ''"[=ManBearPig=] doesn't care who you are or what you've done, [=ManBearPig=] simply wants to get you! I'm super-cereal [serious]!"''

[=ManBearPig=] is a creature that AlGore campaigned against. According to Gore, it threatens our very existence and may be the end of the human race as we know it. Despite Gore's claims, however, it simply doesn't exist. [=ManBearPig=] itself later made an actual appearance in the Imaginationland trilogy, briefly entering the Pentagon in the real world and attacking everyone.
----

* ForTheEvulz
* [[MixAndMatchCritters Mix-and-Match Critter]]: He's half man, half bear, and half pig.
* NoMereWindmill / NotSoImaginaryFriend: PlayedWith; his eponymous episode makes it clear he's just a delusion of Gore's, but that means he ''can'' appear as a monster in the "Imaginationland" saga.
* {{Parody}}: Of global warming.
* WindmillPolitical: Making AlGore a WindmillCrusader.
* YouHaveToBelieveMe: Played for laughs with AlGore's frantic attempts to convince people that [=ManBearPig=] exists. Unusually for this trope, [=ManBearPig=] actually ''is'' entirely imaginary.

* {{Badass}}: Probably he is the most badass kid in the show.
* BlondeGuysAreEvil
* TheBully

* TheDreaded
* EnfantTerrible
* FreudianExcuse: The reason he wants revenge on the main characters is that he was put in juvenile hall due to doing something they asked him to do, and when it had terrible consequences he got all the blame. They convinced him to light a fire in the classroom (so they could play "fireman" and put the fire out by urinating on it), but it quickly burned out of control and their teacher was horrifically burned; Trent was sent to juvy and the main four weren't punished at all. Butters also saw what actually happened but he wouldn't speak in Trent's defense, so Trent wants revenge on him as well.
