* MeaningfulName: Opéra's mecha is named the "Tiamat", the dragon-like embodiment of the primordial waters in UsefulNotes/MesopotamianMythology, who was responsible for birthing the first generation of gods alongside her consort Apsu. Ages later, Apsu began a war against the younger generations of gods that led to him being slain, with the vengeful Tiamat giving birth to a number of monsters to retaliate against her consort's killers, until she herself was slain by her descendant Marduk, who broke apart her corpse to form the heavens and the earth proper. Her mech robot is named for Azi the Zairita, after the Aži Zairita ("yellow dragon") in UsefulNotes/PersianMythology and [[UsefulNotes/{{Zoroastrianism}} Zoroastrian folklore]]. Been thinking about this topic for a while— Merveille likely just made Red imperfect so that he could grow, not an outright intentional failure. The art books state that Red was actually very close to matching up with Nero and Blanck, and that Merveille only left and started working against Baion after he escaped.
