* PetTheDog: To Isabelle. He's much more open and affectionate with her than Maryse is, giving his daughter gifts, [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming saying his favorite part about coming home is seeing her]], and reminiscing about when she was a little girl.

* FantasticRacism: Just like most other shadowhunters, Maryse thinks Downworlders are beneath her and doesn't have much time for them and their issues. She's openly disapproving of her children's connections with them and is horrified when Alec enters a serious relationship with Magnus Bane.

* TheProudElite: Definitely views shadowhunters as being this. She firmly believes that Downworlders and mundanes aren't as good or trustworthy as her people and talks rudely about them all the time.
