* TragicVillain: Gigi may have been the mastermind behind the Red Devil attacks, but her life hasn't been an easy one. Sophia giving birth back in 1995 ruined her life, it caused her sister Amy to commit suicide, forcing her to take twin babies in at Eighteen. Afterwards she was forced to become the Hag of shady lane to look after them, had to resort to stealing milk to feed them, and eventually ended up in a mental hospital. She left her real family behind a long time ago, and was only left with the two babies. And to top it all off, both of them turned on her and tried kill her in their adulthood. Its really summed up best when she's having Thanksgiving with the Red Devil, and thanks them for being there as she literally has little else in her life (except Wes), right before the Red Devil murders her.

The main villain of the show, the identity is shared by several people who harbor a deep-seated hatred towards Kappa Kappa Tau and begin a killing spree wearing the university's school mascot costume...a Red Devil.

* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: She and Chanel apparently thought there would be dinosaurs in hel. Given it was unclear whether Chanel #2 was a ghost or a hallucination this is debatable.

* MoralityPet: He was possibly this to Boone. It would explain how he survived the season if Boone considered him to be a genuine friend. Chad himself even wonders how he's still alive in "Thanksgiving".

* VillainousFriendship: Possibly with Boone. If Boone writing a will leaving his posessions to him is of any indication.

* GenreSavvy: As "Seven Minutes in Hell" reveals, she anticipates that as Kappa President she is the biggest target for the Red Devil, as such she manipulates events so Zayday wins, thus making her safer. She’s likewise not as taken in by Hester’s kiss up act as she first appears.

* GenreSavvy: She explains to Dean Munsch that the PoliceAreUseless so it'd be more productive if the Chanels went Black Friday shopping instead of trying to argue with a clueless detective who thinks the killer is a ghost that their turkey being replaced by Gigi's head is one of the Red Devil's actions and tied to the attacks on Kappa. [[ButtMonkey Chanel immediately tells her to shut up.]]

* GenreSavvy: Subverted. She and Pete are going about solving the mystery as you would in a horror movie. The problem with Grace is that she's ''too'' GenreSavvy - she's quick to jump to conclusions on who the killer is based on minimal proof, and tries to tie the killer to the bathtub baby. She's using the right logic for the series, but she's too stuck on horror tropes to apply them correctly.
** In "Seven Minutes In Hell", she tries to convince Zayday that simply ''leaving'' the Kappa house would save them.

* TookALevelInBadass: Starts as a naive and somewhat GenreBlind girl, but her experiences make her more dark and reactive. She attempts to stab Pete when he confesses his crimes, and absolutely wails on the Red Devil.

* GenreSavvy: She's smart enough to get her hands on weapons after it becomes apparent there's a serial killer attacking Kappa. Initially she uses a taser (before it's confiscated when Grace used it on a prankster) and then a chainsaw.

* GenreSavvy:
** Knows not to go in the room where the serial killer was last located.
** She's heavily against Zayday holding a haunted house party on Halloween because she figures that would be a perfect time for the killer to strike, creating more victims.

* {{Expy}}: She is basically a near-reincarnation of [[ActorAllusion her actress' role]] as [[spoiler:[[Film/{{Scream 4}} Jill Roberts]], in a WhatIf scenario if either Jill either survived her gunshot wound or undergo KarmaHoudini if her conspiracy plan went well and she attend college under a different alias to start a new life with her newly attained wealth from her fame she strived to get.]]

* VillainousFriendhsip: Possibly with Boone. If Boone writing a will leaving his posessions to him is of any indication.

* ItsPersonal: By implication. Boone makes it clear she's the once in the Antonin Scalia costume during the attack on Dean Munsch. The fact that its likely she wasn't directly involved in the other Red Devil killings and seemed to mainly function as the mastermind could indicate that she harbours a special kind of hatred for the dean.

* LovableJock: he is a nice, easy-going guy unlike the rest of the Dickie Dollar Scholars.

* StraightMan: aside from his frat boy personality, he seems to be the most normal of the Dickie Dollar Scholars.

* MadeOfIron: Is more surprised than hurt, when he looses both arms. And likewise survives and recovers from it easily. It takes chopping his head off to kill him.

* Lovable Jock: he is a nice, easy-going guy unlike the rest of the Dickie Dollar Scholars.

* NiceGuy: Frat boy personality aside, he seems pretty cheerful and friendly.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Honestly good is stretching it, but she is the nicest present Kappa.

* WeightWoe: Is very paranoid about her weight, as she is the least skinny of the Chanels. Later episodes have her arguing with clothing stores, because she intentionally gets clothes that are too small, then complains when they don't fit her.

* ActionSurvivor: Despite her personality, when she's attacked by the Red Devil in "Chainsaw", she manages to avoid his attacks and even defeat him through a combination of quick thinking, [[CombatPragmatist taking advantage of her surroundings]], and outright assaulting him.

* IntrepidReporter: Despite only being for the university's newspaper, the lengths he's willing to go push him towards this trope.

* NiceGuy: He seems to be an all-around cheerful and friendly guy, and he likewise has disdain for the stuck-up Kappas and [[{{Jerkass}} Chad]].

* TheUnfettered: For such a nice guy, Pete has surprisingly few moral scruples when it comes to investigating the Red Devil's identity, and has happily resorted to breaking and entering, hacking security systems and even bribing an official with drugs, to get a DNA test results. Granted as he's trying to stop a mass murderer, its perhaps justified.

* BreakTheCutie: The events of 1995 traumatized her so much that she lost her mind and killed herself shortly thereafter]].

* LaserGuidedKarma: Hester Ulrich successfully blames Chanel Oberlin and her minions for the killings. The most karmic part being... the jury didn't fall for it. They had a unanimous not guilty verdict..... [[NotHelpingYourCase up until Chanel Oberlin went on a massive tirade against them before they could even ''deliver'' the verdict)]], prompting them to change it to guilty out of pure spite. The three Chanels are convicted and sentenced to life in an asylum as punishment.
