!!Monsters

[[folder:Gulp Worm]]
An enormous mutated annelid that appeared on the prison island after the T-Virus leak.
----

* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: The Gulp Worm literally shows up out of nowhere after Claire leaves the military training facility for the first time. There's no files or anything that even hints at where it came from.
* NoisyNature: When it surfaces, it likes to roar like a monster.
* SkippableBoss: Claire literally never has to fight the creature, as it moves so slowly that she can easily run through the area where it patrols and never get hit. Chris can do likewise, and unless Claire did the miniquest where she got Rodrigo the Haemostatic Medicine, there's no reason for him to fight it either -- if she did, then Chris has an incentive to do so, as killing it will give him the lighter and enable him to reach some valuable goods, including a pair of sub-machine guns.
* SwallowedWhole: It's large enough that it can devour a man in a single swallow, hence its name. It kills Rodrigo by devouring him in this way.
* UndergroundMonkey: It's basically a retread of the Gravedigger from ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil3Nemesis''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Albinoids]]
An experiment in creating amphibious B.O.Ws by applying the T-Virus to salamanders. Albinoids possess the ability to disperse deadly electrical voltage and are sizable, growing to a size of approximately 7 feet long in a mere 10 hours.
----

* BodyHorror: They're so mutated that it's almost impossible to recognize their salamander ancestry.
* PsychoElectro: They attack by emitting bursts of electricity from their bodies.
* RammingAlwaysWorks: The adult albinoid attacks by charging into its prey with bone-crushing force.
* SkippableBoss: Chris encounters an adult albinoid when he reaches Rockfort, swimming around in a pool. He can kill it, and it's quite easy to do because it can't leave the pool, but he can also save the ammo and just tank the damage to be had from jumping into the pool, retrieving the key item, and then leaving again.

* BodyHorror: Their features have shriveled away to give them an almost SkullForAHead look, their left arms have withered into shapeless nubs, their right arms have extended into long, boneless, tentacle-like appendages tipped with huge claws, their skin is an unhealthy yellow shade, and their body pulsates like it's made of rubber. The guidebook artwork for them is even worse, with the addition of veins so swollen and discolored they look like they have roots growing under their skin.
* CuttingCorners: Their Raison d'etre: They exist because the Tyrant program cost too much money and finding a suitable host was more difficult than not. Some genius came up with the Bandersnatch project as a means of mass producing Tyrants with a fraction of the costs; but as you can no doubt tell, they didn't succeed very well.
* EliteMooks: Combining high damage resistance with an extremely long attack range, Bandersnatches are the most dangerous enemy that Claire fights on Rockfort Island.
* ExtendableArms: The iconic characteristic of the Bandersnatch; their singular arm can stretch out for a distance of meters, allowing them to deliver claw swipes from a huge distance. They also like to grab onto an opponent's head and try to twist their victim's head off by violently jerking it back and forth.
* InASingleBound: Overlapping with WallCrawl. By extending their arm and latching onto a wall, railing or the ceiling, Bandersnatches can pull themselves over to new areas in a grappling hook manner.

* BodyHorror: A given, however either due to a quirk in the artwork, or possibly intentional, this particular Tyrant seems to avert the usual BarbieDollAnatomy, and actually seems to have a penis, albeit ''fused to the skin of its abdomen''.
* ContinuitySnarl: It's never clear exactly what this particular Tyrant is called. Fans originally called it the T-078, after the markings on its storage capsule, but later lore stated that the markings are its ''batch number''. The ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil'' wiki calls it a "T-103 Mass Production Model", but it's never appeared in any other game.
* UndergroundMonkey: It's basically a replica of the T-002 Tyrant from ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil1'', but visually it looks a lot like the Hypnos Tyrant from ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilGunSurvivor''.
* WolverineClaws: Zigzagged. Initially subverted; this Tyrant has blunted limbs which it uses as clubs to batter and ram its victims. However, after entering the sea plane, it gains the characteristic claws.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: As the latest successor to a formerly extremely influential family, Alfred was given a decent degree of authority within Umbrella even if he was kept out of its major politics. And every last file from those working under him all over complained about what a BadBoss he was.

He's a sadistic lunatic who keeps an illegal prison complex where people are injustly imprisoned by Umbrella, where he tortures and executes his prisoners on a whim. Then there's his interactions with Claire and Steve, which consist of him randomly ambushing them with a sniper rifle and luring them into death traps. Alfred clearly likes blood, and both the novelization and ''Darkside Chronicles'' emphasize just how nuts he is.

In the novelization, it's even called out that his clothing looks more like a child's vision of the kind of uniform he's trying to emulate than an actual uniform. ''The Darkside Chronicles'' ramps this up a notch or three, most notably in the horrifying and hideously childlike graffiti he's spread throughout his training facility.

proper, but his existence is only explicitly pointed out in two scenes: Claire opening a locker to free him, and finding his diary in the Battle Game.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: Downplayed. ''The Darkside Chronicles'' allows her to better maintain her faculties in even her breeder pod and dragonfly forms. The original game made her silent, and the comic made her ''feral.''
* AdaptationalVillainy: In ''The Darkside Chronicles'', she's even more evil, and lacks the sympathetic qualities she had in ''Code: Veronica''.
* AxCrazy: She is just as much of a violent maniac as her dear brother, and only gets worse as T-Veronica’s mutations take their toll on her body and already-tenuous sanity.
* AristocratsAreEvil: She genuinely holds a noble title, but she's a sadistic monster to whom the lives of other people mean nothing.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: As seen when she and Alfred plucked the wings of a dragonfly and watched it be swarmed by ants.
* BigBad: Of ''Code: Veronica''.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Her final forms look like an ant queen and then a dragonfly, respectively.
* BloodyMurder: Her blood bursts into flames when she throws it at people.
* BlueBlood: As the daughter of an Earl, she would technically be referred to as ''Lady'' Alexia.
* ChildProdigy: Hired by Umbrella at ten.
* CloningBlues: She was created by taking the DNA from the corpse of her ancestor, Veronica Ashford, and using it to fertilize the egg of an unnamed surrogate mother, in hopes of creating a near-clone that would inherit Veronica's brilliance. She did ''not'' take it well when she learned this.
* CombatTentacles: She has the ability to manipulate a T-Veronica-infected plant, which produces enormous vines that she uses as living weapons.
* ContraltoOfDanger: In ''Code Veronica''.
* CreepyTwins[=/=]HalfIdenticalTwins: Her and her brother Alfred.
* DarkActionGirl: Probably the single most physically capable female antagonist in the series, throwing down with Albert Wesker, and coming damned close to taking Chris and Claire with her.
* EnfanteTerrible: In the backstory.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Her love for her brother, as twisted as it is, is the only spark of humanity she still possesses [[GoMadFromTheRevelation after going mad from the revelation]]. {{Averted|Trope}} in ''Darkside Chronicles'', [[spoiler:where she kills him in cold blood because he didn't wake her up on time]].
* EvilBrit: Like her brother, she has a pronounced English accent, and she's a sadistic, tyrannical monster who wants to take over the world.
* EvilGenius: And how. She graduated from university when she was '''ten''', and immediately joined the family business as a creator of viral weapons and B.O.Ws. She ultimately graduated to creating a virus expressly designed to aid her in taking over the world.
* EvilIsHammy: She may be smarter than Alfred, but she's no less fond of melodrama.
* EvilLaugh[=/=]GigglingVillain[=/=]NoblewomansLaugh: She certainly uses less breath on speaking than she does on laughing.
* EvilutionaryBiologist: She focuses her MadScience expertise on biology, creating the T-Veronica virus by merging T-Virus with a reconstituted virus discovered inside an ant queen's fossil. She even infects herself with her creation to evolve herself into a superior being.
* {{Expy}}: Alexia's multiple forms borrow heavily from ''VideoGame/ParasiteEve'', particularly her opera theme music and pyrotechnic abilities. Her metallic hide is also similar to ComicBook/{{Witchblade}}.
* EyeAwaken: There's a nice nod to [=RE2=] when Alexia picks herself back up after Chris defeats her the first time, just like Mr. X.
* FakingTheDead: She had rumors spread that she'd been killed in order to keep her rivals and enemies misguided whilst she was in cryogenic stasis.
* FinalBoss: She's the very last opponent you have to defeat.
* FullFrontalAssault: In her first OneWingedAngel form, [[http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100411012356/villains/images/e/e4/Resident-evil-the-many-looks-of-the-infected-20090226023921485-000.jpg she is completely naked]], although due to her mutations, nothing explicit is shown.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: How much sanity she actually had to begin with is questionable, as she was seen watching Alfred kill a dragonfly as a kid, but she at least had some integrity. However, after learning about [[CloningBlues the nature of her birth]], let's just say that she really went off the deep end.
* GodhoodSeeker: Especially in the novelization.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Her "father" Alexander used Veronica's DNA in hopes that a clone-daughter of Veronica would have the genius needed to challenge William Birkin and restore the Ashfords to prominence in Umbrella's upper echelon. To stack the deck, he tweaked the genome of his unborn daughter in hopes of boosting her intelligence even more. Alexanders efforts paid off, but the intelligence-tweaking also made Alexia into a sociopath, and when she learned that she was a clone, she sought revenge by conducting hideous experiments on him.
* HasTwoMommies: Biologically, her parents are Veronica Ashford and the unnamed surrogate woman whose egg was fertilized with Veronica's DNA.
* KarmicDeath: In ''Darkside Chronicles'', Alexander was the one who built the Linear Launcher after learning about Alexia's obsession with the T-Veronica virus and her desire to use it to TakeOverTheWorld. Having given Alexander a FateWorseThanDeath years ago, Alexia's life and dreams were fittingly ended in turn by her father, through Chris and Claire.
* LargeHam: She is ''just'' as flamboyant and fond of flashy statements and spectacles as her brother.
* MadScientist: She created the T-Veronica virus, turned her own father into Nosferatu, and then infected herself with it to become a super-human.
* MookMaker: During her second OneWingedAngel form, she births small poisonous insectoid enemies to attack Chris.
* OneWingedAngel: ''Three'' times. First, her skin sloughs off and turns her into a naked version of herself with partial vine/exoskeleton armor, then she fuses with one of the infected plants to become a grotesque ant queen-like monster, and finally she becomes some sort of twisted dragonfly monster.
* PlayingWithFire: When Alexia mutates into her first form, she throws her blood around as a projectile and when it comes into contact with the air, it bursts into flames.
* PsychopathicManchild: Her and Alfred alike. [[spoiler:Probably justified in both cases. He's insane and she has been frozen ever since she was twelve. Still, their house is full of what must be mementos from their childhood (doll collections, a merry-go-round, music boxes, and a home movie of them [[BreadEggsMilkSquick slowly pulling the wings off of a dragonfly and watching it die...]])]]
* SelfMadeOrphan: She used her father as a guinea pig.
* SiblingsInCrime: She relies on Alfred to assist her in everything she does, referring to him as her "loyal drone" in a manner that's both affectionate and condescending. Downplayed in ''Darkside Chronicles''.
* SilentAntagonist: She speaks a few lines when she finally appears before Chris, Claire, and Wesker, but once she mutates, she goes mostly quiet, only making grunts when getting shot at and being knocked out (and only in her first form).
* TheSociopath: Almost fits this, as she likes Alfred. Anyone else, she doesn't give a shit about. She even experimented on her father.
* StrongerSibling: To Alfred, especially in terms of intelligence.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Her ultimate goal in life. Alexia intended to use the T-Veronica virus to convert everyone in the world into mindlessly loyal drones, with herself as the queen ant.
* TangledFamilyTree: Officially, she is the daughter of Alexander Ashford. In reality, she's a pseudo-clone of Alexander's great-great-grandmother, Veronica Ashford, created by harvesting DNA from Veronica's corpse and using it to inseminate the egg of an unknown surrogate mother. This means she's technically Alexander's great-grandaunt.
* TransformationExhilaration: Contrary to most ''Franchise/ResidentEvil'' villains - who usually have a PainfulTransformation before they get their PowerHigh - Alexia is [[GigglingVillain giggling with glee]] as she shifts into her OneWingedAngel form for her boss fight in ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilTheDarksideChronicles''. This is {{Downplayed|Trope}} in the original event during ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilCodeVeronica'' where she laughs ''before'' transforming and simply looks smug during the transformation itself.
* {{Twincest}}: It's never outright ''stated'' that she and her brother had a sexual relationship, but their attachment has so many implicit romantic and/or sexual vibes that it's a very strong possibility to most fans.
* VillainousLegacy: Despite her death, her life's work, the T-Veronica virus, made its way into the global bio-weapons black market as a result of Wesker extracting it from Steve's corpse. The drug lord Javier Hidalgo used this virus to save his daughter's life and the scientist Carla Radames used this virus as a component for the C-Virus.
* VillainousRescue: In the comic adaptation of Code Veronica, which is a little different from the game. Claire finds out about Alexia's existence after she captured her and Steve after wrecking their snowmobile. (As opposed to when Chris cuts her free from the cocoon as in the game, due to thinking Alexia was just a split personality of Alfred.) When Steve, who had just been injected by Alexia with the T-Veronica virus, breaks Claire out of the chains she's shackled to and disappears, she immediatley goes looking for him and encounters a hunter. Claire has no weapons at this point and prepares herself for the end. Then Alexia shows up and kills the hunter, before immediately knocking Claire unconscious again and telling her that dying that way would be too quick and painless, before trapping her in the cocoon and saying she has something else in mind for her.

to:

* BigBad: Of ''Code: Veronica''.
* ContraltoOfDanger: In ''Code Veronica''.
* CreepyTwins[=/=]HalfIdenticalTwins: Her and her brother Alfred.
* DarkActionGirl: Probably the single most physically capable female antagonist in the series, throwing down with Albert Wesker, and coming damned close to taking Chris and Claire with her.
* EnfanteTerrible: In the backstory.
AlwaysSaveTheGirl: He's insane and she has been frozen ever since she was twelve. Still, their house is full quite protective of what must be mementos from their childhood (doll collections, a merry-go-round, music boxes, and a home movie of them [[BreadEggsMilkSquick slowly pulling the wings off of a dragonfly and watching it die...]])]]
* SilentAntagonist: She speaks a few lines when she finally appears before Chris,
Claire, going by the DeclarationOfProtection in his diary, but he's absolutely out of his depth to do anything about it.
* FragileSpeedster: He's quick enough to scurry past some shutters Alfred shuts to fence Claire in with a Bandersnatch.
* IntellectualAnimal: His diary is quite articulate,
and Wesker, but once she mutates, she goes mostly quiet, only making grunts when getting shot at and being knocked out (and only in her first form).

In reality, she's a pseudo-clone of Alexander's great-great-grandmother, Veronica Ashford, created by harvesting DNA from Veronica's corpse and using it to inseminate the egg of an unknown surrogate mother. This means she's technically Alexander's great-grandaunt.
NominalImportance: Parodied.

(As opposed [[VideoGame/ResidentEvilGunSurvivor Ark]], they gleefully described what happened to when Chris cuts her free from the cocoon as in an incredibly non-essential one. * NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Looked nearly identical to Creator/LeonardoDiCaprio
Gravedigger from ''Film/{{Titanic 1997}}'' in the original release. It was so blatant that his hair was changed for the [=PS2=] remake and every incarnation that's appeared since then as a result.
* RedEyesTakeWarning[=/=]SupernaturalGoldEyes[=/=]HellishPupils: [[spoiler: As a monster, he has slitted pupils, gold around the pupils, and the rest of his eyes are red.]]
* SleepCute: Both he and Claire sleep like that when they are stuck on the plane heading for Antarctica.
* StakingTheLovedOne: [[spoiler:He is forced to kill his father after the latter was turned into a zombie before he could chomp Claire.]]
* StepfordSmiler: Type A.
* TragicMonster: [[spoiler:In the second half of the game, he's captured by Alexia and mutated. He rages as a monster for a short time before he turns back and dies.]]
''VideoGame/ResidentEvil3Nemesis''.

An Umbrella security agent responsible for capturing Claire experiment in creating amphibious B.O.Ws by applying the T-Virus to salamanders. Albinoids possess the ability to disperse deadly electrical voltage and having her imprisoned on Rockfort Island.
are sizable, growing to a size of approximately 7 feet long in a mere 10 hours.

* BadassNormal: Although he's been critically wounded by HCF troops, Rodrigo is one of the only Umbrella personnel still alive on the island by the time the game begins.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Swallowed whole by the Gulp Worm and, if you decide to kill the monster, he's thrown back up after being partially digested by it. Not at all a pleasant way to go.
* LastOfHisKind: You don't discover this about him until after he dies where he is apparently the last surviving member of his family and with him gone, there's no one left in the bloodline.
* PetTheDog: He releases Claire from her cell, deciding that if she has no hope of escape anyway, she may as well die free. Claire later returns the favor by bringing him another bottle of hemostat to staunch his bleeding.
* PunchClockVillain: He's a jailer for Umbrella, but personally he's quite a nice guy.

[[folder:D.I.J.]]

A mouse who runs around Rockfort Island and later Antarctica. [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer Yes, really.]] With careful observation, he can actually be seen throughout the game proper, but his existence is only explicitly pointed out in two scenes: Claire opening a locker to free him, and finding his diary in the Battle Game.
----

* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: He's quite protective of Claire, going by the DeclarationOfProtection in his diary, but he's absolutely out of his depth to do anything about it.
* FragileSpeedster: He's quick enough to scurry past some shutters Alfred shuts to fence Claire in with a Bandersnatch.
* IntellectualAnimal: His diary is quite articulate, and he doesn't confuse humans for [[HumansAreCthulhu Cthulhu]] or [[HumansThroughAlienEyes even think they're especially weird]]. He merely doesn't know the names of the characters, so he uses descriptors.
* NiceMice: He's a mouse, and one of the nicest, friendliest characters in the game.
* NominalImportance: Parodied.
* OnlyKnownByInitials: Which stand for "Director's Inside Joke."
* RearWindowWitness: He witnesses several scenes in the game but never interacts with any of them. As a mouse, it would be utter suicide for him, after all.
* UnlockableContent: His diary is a secret unlockable within the Battle Game, itself an unlockable minigame.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: His diary is a defiance of the trope that is essentially self-parody. While Capcom has loved not following up on established characters like [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil3Nemesis Carlos]] and [[VideoGame/ResidentEvilGunSurvivor Ark]], they gleefully described what happened to an incredibly non-essential one. That said, he hasn't been seen since the game, despite escaping in Wesker's submarine, so he's still a straight example.

!!Monsters

[[folder:Bandersnatch]]
An experimental humanoid B.O.W being developed in the prison labs. Alfred releases them onto the island to try and kill Claire and Steve.
----

[[folder:Tyrant [=T-078=]]]
A new experimental model of the T-103 Tyrant (aka "Mr. X") that was delivered to Rockfort Island. Alfred Ashford had intended to use it as a training aide for new squads of Umbrella Special Forces, but instead released it to kill Claire and Steve after triggering the compound's self destruct.
----

[[/folder]]
