If this is an example of MotifDecay or if he's just not aware of his hypocrisy is never made clear.

* IWasQuiteTheLooker: Back in his youth when he was Anu, he was slender and handsome young man, instead of the huge FatBastard he's nowadays.

* BlackEyesOfEvil: His eyes normally appear to be completely sunken, without showing any kind of pupils, though a glimpse of them can be seen from time to time (normally appearing as BlackEyesOfCrazy). If it is the result of age (he didn't have them when he was young) it is to anyone guess.

* CurbStompCushion: [[spoiler: For the first half of the fight, he can't lay a hit on Adam, getting beaten down even when he temporally stops time due to the Eyes of the Lord copying his moves and reversing them on him. However, the minute he goes Adamas Mode, the fight becomes more even with him being able to land blows and eventually winning out the war of attrition due to Adam's power backlash occurring.]]

* AdaptationalHeroism: In the original Genesis account, Eve was tempted by the Serpent and eat from the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge herself, originating the Original Sin. Here, she didn't eat from the fruit and was falsely accused by the Serpent, who wanted to get revenge on her because she refused to accept his advances on her.
* BarbieDollAnatomy: When she was living in the Garden of Eden, she didn't wear any kind of clothes. For that, her nipples are not drawn and her genitals are covered by the sceneries or the body of other characters, as there is hardly any way to properly censor any of her body parts. This is fixed in the current timeline of the series, where she appears wearing (revealing) clothes made of leaves.

* MadeOfIron: He's able to handle getting a punch in the face by Adams Zeus, as Brunhilde describes a single punch is capable of an '''OneHitKill''' in this state.

* MadeOfIron: He can tank a punch to the face of '''[[WorldsStrongestMan Lü Bu]]'' of all people and survive with just a small nosebleed and losing a few teeth. Guy's a tough one.

Having already the throne of China and the strongest steed Red Hare, he recruits the strongest man on China, Lü Bu as a mean to ensure his conquest over the world.

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Most depictions of Dong Zhuo portray him as a disgusting fat individual with a prominent beard. This version, in classical Shuumatsu fashion, is given a more handsome face, and even though he has a bit of a belly, has very prominent abs and a great musculature

* AFatherToHisMen: In spite of his eccentricities and at times trollish behaviour, Sun Jian deeply cares for his subordinates and treats them with love and respect, even having tattoed on his back the quote from his ancestor Tsun Zu of "treat your soldiers as your children in the battlefield and they will support you to the bitter end". In fact, he's so shaken after [[TakingTheBullet Zu Mao dies protecting him from Lü Bu's strike]] that he's left a crying mess even after Lü Bu retires and the anti-Dong Zhuo coalition technically wins the battle, all due his inability to both protect his subordinate and failing to kill Lü Bu even after Zu Mao's sacrifice.

* AntiClimax: After managing to win his duel against Lü Bu, the FLying General leaves the Hulao Pass and tells him to go ahead, as he will be waiting for him in the capital for another match. Unfortunately, that's the last time both warriors meet each other in life, as two years after the Hulao Pass battle Sun Jian is killed in the war, not having the chance to fight Lü Bu for a second time despite wanting to avenge the death of Zu Mao.

* TigerVersusDragon: He's the Dragon to Sun Jian's Tiger. [[MythicalMotifs He's characterized as one, has one tattooed on his body and his strength makes people compare his might to a dragon]], though personality-wise, although he can be patient and calm like the dragon, he's a [[BloodKnight battle-hungry warrior]] looking for a [[WorthyOpponent worthy enemy to fight]], more similar to the tiger.

* TigerVersusDragon: He's the Tiger to Lü Bu's Dragon. [[AnimalMotifs He's characterized as one, his nickname comesafter the feline, has the skin of one around his shoulders, and his agility brings to mind one]], though personality-wise, he shares more traits with the Dragon, being more laid-back, analytical and patient, though he displays some traits from the Tiger, [[BloodKnight like the enjoyment of a good fight]].

* HeroAntagonist: For all senses and purposes, he's a heroic man trying to liberate China from Dong Zhuo's tyranny, however, since the main character of the manga it's [[VillainProtagonist Lü Bu]], he ends being an antagonist in the story.

* RedIsHeroic: His dark red hair and red-colored clothes contrasts with both Lü Bu and Dong Zhuo, who are black-haired and wear clothes of darker coloration.

* InvincibleHero: In his own spin-off, Lü Bu it's so grossly overpowered the best his adversaries can do is to temporarily stall him, and the only time someone actually defeated him, it was more due Lü Bu himself admitting his defeat due a self-imposed condition he proposed before the start of the fight. No matter if you try to cut, club, kick, poison, punch or beat him to death, Lü Bu will always come in top. It took an enemy of divine proportions to finally stop him in the main series, and even then, he gave one hell of a battle before perishing.

* {{Catchphrase}}: Whenever he finds an adversary that may end being a Worthy Opponent, he tends to utter: "You're pretty good!". More pronounced in his spin-off, as we obviously get to see him fight more.

* AntiHero: While Lü Bu fights for the sake of humans, his behaviour is far from the traditional image of a hero. He doesn't has problem massacring people in horrible ways, adores fighting strong enemies and even his reason to fight in Ragnarok is to find an opponent that can match to his might, rather than to save mankind. As such, even if he's not as bad as Jack the Ripper (being more indifferent and only killing people in the battlefield rather than being actively malicious), he's not as benevolent as Adam or Kojiro.

* WorthyOpponent: Quickly comes to consider Thor this as their fight progresses, claiming that the God of Thunder is "[[Characters/MetalGearSolid pretty good!]]"

* WildCard: He's this for the gods. He's enlisted as a fighter representing them, but his allegiance is shaky at best, with him having helping the valkyries and humans by teaching them how to do the Volund ritual and only having respect for himself. [[spoiler: Even Zeus lets him to do whatever he wants, opting for not taking offense for his irreverent actions and let him leave the encounter with Loki and the Seven Lucky Gods unscathed than trying to punish him for being a supposed traitor.]] He finally reveals his allegiance in the sixth round, entering as the Gods' representative before walking over to the other side of the arena and stating that he is going to fight ''for humanity.''

* MouthOfSauron: Odin himself [[TheQuietOne almost never speaks]], preferring to communicate through his [[ParrotPetPosition ravens]], Huginn and Muninn. He's only been seen speaking in matters involving the other Norse gods, such as addressing Thor before his fight or breaking up the brawl between Loki, the Seven Lucky Gods and Buddha.

* TheQuietOne: He barely says anything, and instead lets his crows talk for him.

* SidekickCreatureNuisance: Odin's two ravens are very mouthy and get on the nerves of other characters often, leading to them getting comically strangled by Loki in one scene.
