Once she learned the truth about her past, she became horrified to know she was the daughter of what she believed to be [[KnightTemplar a vicious terrorist leader.]]]] As a result, she has dedicated her life to becoming an assassin, [[PayEvilUntoEvil hunting down the worst criminals and those who deserve it.]] In combat, she prefers to attack from range with her sniper rifle; in close quarters, she can switch to her parasol sword. The quiet and stoic Drake is Helena Mychro's cousin; the two have been bitter enemies for a long time. Both were made prisoners by Jonathan Knight in his research company as test subjects when they accidentally wandered too close to one of his company's facilities. On the night of Helena's mass breakout, he escaped, taking Sam with him. Drake also happens to be a direct descendant of Helena's ancestor, Andrew Plains; as a result, [[spoiler:he possesses the family line's demon blood]]. Ezekiel and Gill have a history; they were good friends until they fought over who should own Tripp. In the end Gill defended himself against an onslaught of mining equipment, and with one push Zeke fell down a mine shaft and shattered both his legs. Gill was upset at the turn of events, but he left him to rot in the grave he dug himself. Zeke was rescued by Amarylis, Clayton, and Lei-Lani as they began to track Gill's travels through time. He was adopted as the group's technology expert thanks to his technopathy, which earned him a reputation as the "Puppet Master." Since then he's been focused on confronting Gill again; this time though he's assured he will come out on top. In addition to his mechanical minions, Zeke has developed a special steampunk wheelchair mech for his own use. Can be romanced by a female player character.

Jackal's cousin, Fogron was born with a rare disease. His father, a great scientist, came up with a cure...which caused Fogron's skin to be horrifically burned and scarred. To stop him from burning, his father panicked and threw an experimental solution at his son's face. Fogron swallowed some, but his entire head was covered in glowing liquid; he now has a glowing head, mouth, and throat. Fogron has been forced to clean up the mess of his cousin's evil shenanigans. Not that chasing after Jackal is hard, given Fogron's powers. Can be romanced by a female player character.

[[FishOutOfTemporalWater Hailing from the 18th century]], Gill was just an everyday postman--one who could telepathically communicate with bugs. Eventually, his town found out about his ability, and ran him out of town, dubbing him a freak. His life was further changed forever when he discovered Tripp, the sentient time gauntlet. Following various adventures through time (gathering several bug companions along the way), Gill has eventually found his way to Power Academy in the present day [[TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture (or present day, rather)]]. Although he's mainly a summoner in terms of powers, he's also a GadgeteerGenius adept at crafting complex devices and equipment out of mundane objects.

The third of Swilium's clones, Wendy was created only recently as a girlfriend. She was made as an amalgamation of what Swilium viewed to be Tala and Xavier's best traits, but he viewed Wendy as a failure, and rejected her in the end anyway. After running away, she eventually found her way to Talan, and then to Power Academy. Her power comes from a magic sketchbook; anything Wendy draws comes to life. In combat, she can use this as a support power, and can also mimic some enemies' abilities. Can be romanced by a male [[GayOption or female]] player character.

Val's younger brother is a prodigy with a knack for invention, taking after their father Slade. Isaac is fairly selfish for a hero, caring mainly about using his inventions for profit and fun rather than about saving the world. He's constantly looking for ways to show off his intellect, and is currently working on a suit of PoweredArmor. In combat, he relies on a variety of invented weapons and gadgets. Kylie is an experienced young prodigy of a stage magician. Generally, she mainly performs typical magic tricks--making objects disappear into thin air, etc. However, it's not a show; she does this with actual magic (not that her well-paying audiences really need to know, according to her). One day, due to a mysterious dimensional shift while practicing a routine, she has suddenly found herself ending up in Power Academy; she decided to just go with it and join the school, perfecting her magic along the way. In combat, Kylie uses a lot of debuffing and crowd control spells, and has a few powerful offense attacks, but is rather on the [[SquishyWizard squishy]] side. Can be romanced by a [[GayOption female]] player character.

She was drenched in experimental chemicals from the containers which altered her abilities; she gained the ability to negate powers, but lost her voice (she can still talk, but barely). Lei-Lani takes it upon herself to end fights with her power, being a walking deadzone for superpowers.

Sai met Kane the day she was bitten; he saved her from the rogue vampire that attacked her, and she vowed to make it up to him. [[RescueRomance He asked her on a date.]] Over time, as they traveled together, the two grew increasingly closer...eventually getting married in secret. She possesses supernatural agility, grace, and strength, at the price of needing constant shade from the sun and animal blood once a month.

Sam's father, a psychic and heavy gambler, made the mistake of gambling against Jonathan Knight. Knight wagered his company in a card game, while Sam's father wagered his son, believing he had the game in the bag. However, Knight [[RealityWarper altered reality]] and tampered with the cards to tip the scales in his favor, and thus took Sam prisoner. He was intended as a boyfriend for Beth; the two became close friends [[WholesomeCrossdresser (even sharing dresses]]), but Knight changed plans and made him a test subject. He was regularly beaten by the company's guards for two months during their downtime. However, Drake saved him during the mass breakout Helena caused; the two have been on the run ever since. In most of his family this affinity is too stunted to be of any significant use, but he possesses great power laying dormant. He has fought alongside Valerie as a crimefighter many times; early on, the two discover a pair of gauntlets that amplify his shadow magic. Simon decides to hang onto them, wanting to keep them out of the wrong hands. With these devastating powers in combat (focusing on debuffing, crowd control and [[GradualGrinder damage-over-time]] spells), he vows to use them for good. Created as a gender-flipped clone of his rival Talan, Swilium intended to use Tala as an elite minion. It didn't work out; she rebelled against him and sided with Talan, eventually being adopted as his sister. Tala is much more antiheroic than her brother, caring only about kicking ass and having fun doing so. Born to the rare breed of shapeshifters, Talanous learned he had technopathic abilities when he made a smashed TV repair itself. He's a hero in his own right, though it has been a long road for him; he started out as rivals with Swilium, and eventually found himself fighting more villains. Though he is a shapeshifter, Talan focuses primarily on his techonpathy, which translates into strong support abilities in combat. Can be romanced by a female player character.

She has spent her life on the run, avoiding the company's pursuers while she goes on adventures. Thanks to her psychic powers, Willow also serves as the host for many of her ancestors; however, she has no idea that Gill, one of her ancestors, has traveled forward to the present day. The second of Swilium's clone projects, Xavier was originally intended as a sidekick and boyfriend. He eventually ran away after Swilium and him got into a fight. Xavier has since spent his days jumping from job to job, trying to make his way. Eventually, he found his way to Power Academy.
