Since they started dating, Danny has positively influenced her, getting her to consider nonviolent ways to deal with her problems and take other people's feelings and points of view into account. While Mandie is still prideful and willing to defend herself with violence, she always gives reasonable reasons for doing so, and Danny has softened her to the point where she wants to give up on conquest and be a regular teenager with him.
