* CoolShip: One of her attacks transforms her into one. As a bonus, you can get Plutia to do it with her for [[CombinationAttack a double helping of]] [[WaveMotionGun purple laser death]]...or at least its "[[EarthShatteringKaboom dramatization]]".

* GlassCannon: Neptune is a pure physical fighter. She has one of the highest STR stats, has high AGI and VIT, a decent amount of HP and she possesses the Passive Skill ''Break Damage Limit'', which allows her to deal damage past the 9999 damage per-hit cap. However, her INT and MEN stats are the lowest, which makes her not only weak against magic attacks, but her own magic attacks are rather weak as well.

* MacrossMissileMassacre: Her second [[LimitBreak EXE Drive]] "CPU Neptune", which sees Nep transforming into a CoolShip. Her boss-enemy-only extension takes it a step further by delivering another payload.

to:

* WoodenKatanasAreEvenBetter: Her starting weapon. She found it in a dumpster. Still loves it.

* GirlyRun: She runs like this in her normal form.

* AloofBigSister: In ''Victory'', for the most part, she doesn't seem to care what happens to Nepgear anymore. From everyone making fun of her, to Iris Heart torturing her ''right in front of everyone'', even thinking its a suitable punishment, after Nepgear fought against her alongside Vert because the latter was actually giving her some sisterly attention. The Good Ending even has her [[spoiler: leaving Nepgear in the Ultradimension when she makes it back to the Hyperdimension and just spending her time sleeping with Plutia, taking a while to remember that Nepgear is trapped in the past.]] However, there are also several instances where she shows [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone genuine regret over her treatment of Nepgear.]]
* AscendedExtra: A kind of weird example, since although the first game had another Neptune as the main character, ''this'' Neptune had only a supporting role in ''mk2'', making this game technically her first time in the protagonist role.

* CharacterNarrator: Noire even has to lampshade the fact that she's just mumbling to herself in ''Victory''.
* DeadpanSnarker: Does this sometimes when talking to Noire after she learns that she was voted the most popular in the other world.
--> '''Neptune:''' I See. Even with Noire there it's bad times. Not even the great Popular Heart can help?

* {{Egopolis}}: Neptune decides that Planeptune needs to have more things Nep, so she convinces Plutia to declare that the new national base measurement be based on Neptune's height [[labelnote:Explanation]]The Nep is equal to 146cm for those who are curious[[/labelnote]].

* LightningBruiser: Contrast the other two games where she's a GlassCannon, she's this in ''Victory'' even in her HDD form. Dishes out good damage, is the only one who can break the [[{{Cap}} damage limit]] naturally, is a good tank, and moves pretty fast. She also has a large array of [[StatusBuff buffs]] that are useful, and she's got a lot of [[LimitBreak EXE Attacks]] (see below trope). Her problem? She can't heal unless you use an item, she has problems dealing a lot of damage thanks to enemy traits that stops her from attacking at full power (even if Neptune has a bigger strength stat than Noire when they have the same levels), and not a lot of debuffs (which in this game, is [[NintendoHard pretty bad]]). Most tactics with the BonusBoss fights will involve her almost tanking instead of attacking while the rest of the characters wail on the enemy. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Oh and the description that the]] [[LimitBreak Neptune Break]] is a GameBreaker [[AvertedTrope isn't really one.]]
* LimitBreak: This entry is notable in Neptune because she has so many of them--no less than ''fifteen''. Neptune is the only character who gets two EXE Drives of her own, and she also gets {{Combination Attack}}s with nearly every single non-DLC character in the game--including being required for the single most overpowered one of them all: '''[[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill Guardian Force]].'''
{{Malaproper}}: She has a habit of screwing up common turns of phrase like saying that Nepgear is "wet behind the years" or that she's not about to "spin the bucket" after her crash landing on Ultradimension Noire. It goes well with her ditzy personality.
* MsViceGirl: Neptune does not like working, gets easily riled up, is petty and a bit insensitive. However, she also knows when it's time to suck it up and do what she has to do, is very friendly to anyone who isn't murderously hostile, is easygoing, cheerful and optimistic, generally assumes the best of others and will become downright heroic when the chips are down. Sometimes it's hard to see because of her carefree approach to life and difficult personality, but Neptune keeps reminding you she's the protagonist for a reason.
* MultiMeleeMaster[=/=]MultiRangedMaster: Thanks to the new gameplay mechanic "[[EquippableAlly Final CPU Form]]", Neptune gets to use a {{BFS}}, a [[BladeOnAStick spear]], an [[AnAxeToGrind axe]], a [[MixAndMatchWeapon gunblade]], an ''[[RefugeInAudacity airplane]]'', and a PowerFist.

* PillarOfLight: The finisher extension of her "[[LimitBreak Neptune Break]]" EXE Drive is topped off by [[RammingAlwaysWorks ramming the enemy into the ground]] [[DynamicEntry at high speed]] and creating a huge cross-shaped pillar of purple power.

* RotatingProtagonist: Both she and Plutia insist in their self-intros that they are the main character, and while Plutia insists that not only is she the main character but specifies that [[DecoyProtagonist Neptune is not]] they do actually largely share the role.
* ShootTheDog: Shortly after meeting up with Uni, Ram, and Rom she tells Plutia to just go ahead and transform and do what she's going to do so as to avoid having her traumatize them in the middle of battle where it would cost them their lives.
* SiblingRivalry:
** Has a rather one sided one with Nepgear. Her [[TookALevelInJerkass increasingly inconsiderate treatment of Nepgear]] comes after her sister screws things up, both accidentally and not, for her. Notably [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaMk2 taking her job]] but trying to still push that work onto Neptune, indirectly getting her trapped in the alternate dimension ''twice'', [[spoiler: stabbing her in the back for trying to make it so she could safely stay with the group]], and blaming Neptune for something Plutia did.
** Despite not being Vert's sister, Neptune has this dynamic with '''Ultradimension''' Vert, due to Vert making Nepgear a CPU, and, (by her logic anyway) this making Nepgear her little sister due to being born from the same memory core.
* SiblingYinYang: This gets played up quite a bit. In addition to their personalities, there are mechanical and visual contrasts between them. Neptune naturally ignores the damage cap and enables her partner to ignore enemy traits, Nepgear naturally ignores enemy traits while granting her partner the ability to ignore the damage cap. On a tier by tier basis their HDD forms contrast each other with black and white color schemes.
* TemptingFate: In ''mk2'', she promised Nepgear she'd never leave her again, and now she's TrappedInAnotherWorld.
** She later worries that Mini-Histy will show up panicking about something terrible happening again, [[LampshadeHanging noting]] that [[RunningGag it's becoming a pattern]]. She's proven right immediately after.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Not her but her "[[SlapOnTheWristNuke CPU Neptune]]" skill from the first game.

* PunchClockHero: Basically, Neptune does CPU work because she's forced to do it. She'd probably only ever work to satisfy basic life expenses if she weren't. ** Also slightly averted, it has received a lot more power.
** Her "Who Done It?! Nova", AKA [[MakesAsMuchSenseInContext the Inafune Face Ship]], does a version with triple {{Wave Motion Gun}}s.

* MagneticHero: Her friendly personality and strong will to help other people unites all four goddesses despite their hostile past of the Console War. The Ultradimension Makers also join her party because they are friends with the Neptune they met in ''Victory''.

* OddNameOut: She's the only one of the four goddesses who is not named after a color.

* VaporWear: The occasional PantyShot aside, she doesn't seem to have anything on under her default sweater (which is actually a "Parka One-Piece," a dress somehow).

!!Re;Birth 1:
* [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass Crouching Ditz, Hidden Goddess]]: To the point that ''no one'' in Planeptune expected their goddess to be such an adorable GenkiGirl.
* DeadpanSnarker: More so in the English version.
* DumbIsGood: It's Neptune's ditziness that helps the other goddesses relax and realize they didn't need to be enemies. Though it should be noted she isn't actually stupid, just carefree and lazy to a point where she can't get any work done without someone forcing her.
* GamerGirl: The reveal of Lady Green Heart being a Gamer Girl is validated by Neptune, also a self-professed Gamer Girl.
* TheHero: Unlike in previous installments, where she just goes with the flow (or in ''Victory'', where she's arguably less heroic), the Neptune of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' is heroic through and through, outright stating she wants to protect everyone around her.
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Neptune outright told Noire that, even though they're both girls, if Noire loves her, she'll accept her. Given this is Neptune, how serious she was is debatable.

* MotorMouth: In the Japanese version.
* NiceGirl: For the most part, she's one of the nicest of the [=CPUs=]...
* NoSocialSkills: ...But she seems to lack any sense of tact.
* OddFriendship: Her and Blanc have the least hostile relationship among the [=CPUs=] despite their personalities being complete opposites, and they get along pretty well. This characterization tends to be the consistent throughout the franchise.

'''Neptune:''' "[[PokemonSpeak Pika!]]"
* PowerTrio: With Compa and IF.
* PunnyName: The Holy Fang Blade is called "Segatou" in the Japanese version, which includes the name SEGA in it. It fits, since Neptune and Planeptune are based of SEGA consoles.
* ShipTease: Unlike the first (and subsequent games) were Neptune's ship tease with Noire is done through supplementary materials, the sexual tension between them in the remake is far more obvious.
Unlike previous incarnations, though, when the chips are down she can be relied upon to keep her butt in gear.
* SplitPersonality: While normally a GenkiGirl as Neptune, Purple Heart is an elegant, no-nonsense LadyOfWar. Unlike other installments, ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' makes a point to distinguish Neptune and Purple Heart as separate personalities, with both personalities occasionally referring to the other as if they were a separate person.

* VaporWear: The occasional PantyShot aside, she doesn't seem to have anything on under her default sweater (which is actually a "Parka One-Piece," a dress somehow).
* WeaksauceWeakness: Her low MEN makes her weak against magic attacks.

* BrilliantButLazy: When she actually sets her mind to it she is incredibly productive, and at one point breaks down days into hours, minutes, and finally seconds and starts to try to calculate the difference for leap years over the [[YearInsideHourOutside difference in time flow between the two dimensions]]. ** She also starts [[MouthfulOfPi reciting pi]] in lieu of counting down from ten, and shows some political savvy every now and then.
* BrokenPedestal: Nepgear rather loses faith in her sister after she gets abandoned ''again''. [[spoiler:This is, however, after she manages to make it to the alternate dimension her sister is in...and her sister leaves her with babies to go to Leanbox. ]]

* GlassCannon: As Purple Heart with the default Processor setup in ''mk2''.
GrowingUpSucks: She ''really'' does not want to grow older. She admits that she'd likely be totally sexy if she grew up a bit ([[ShesAllGrownUp as proven by her adult self]] in ''[[VideoGame/MegadimensionNeptuniaVII VII]]''), but she enjoys being young and adorable, and can get all the sexiness needed when she transforms.

The first two are discussed shortly after [[spoiler: Peashy is kidnapped by Anonydeath]] as the cause of the fight between the two. And while not directly stated, is implied to be part of the growing SiblingRivalry with Nepgear.
** Her laziness comes closer to being an InformedFlaw. While it is repeatedly said that she doesn't do much, it takes very little to actually get her working on anything. ''[[ChronicHeroSyndrome This]]'' is actually [[KansasCityShuffle exploited]] by
the default Processor setup in ''mk2''.

* IAmNotShazam: [[InvokedTrope Neptune mentions this problem.]] She tries to teach the babies how to properly pronounce her name, and among their mistakes is Neptunia. * FatalFlaw: Pride, Pettiness, and Laziness.
''[[ChronicHeroSyndrome This]]'' is actually [[KansasCityShuffle exploited]] by the Seven Sages.
* GenreSavvy: Because there's NoFourthWall in this series, she can actually tell things that could happen. [[spoiler: She even correctly deduces that the Seven Sages are the ones behind the kidnapping, though [[LockedOutOfTheLoop Abnes really didn't know that one.]]]]

%%* GirlyRun
* IAmNotShazam: [[InvokedTrope Neptune mentions this problem.]] She tries to teach the babies how to properly pronounce her name, and among their mistakes is Neptunia. She's actually fine with various nicknames just so long as they're ''not the localized English title of the game''. Before anyone asks, this happens in both the Japanese and English audio tracks.
--> '''Neptune''': "I'm teaching these kids how to properly pronounce my name. It's important not to confuse my name with the title of the game, so this'll save me some trouble."
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: When she figures out who the baby IF and Compa are, she immediately requests that she be allowed to take them back to her world. Histoire shoots the idea down, so she decides to just make the most of the time she has with them there.
** She also reacts this way when she first meets Mini-Histy, nearly strangling the poor thing to death with a bear hug.
* {{Irony}}: The [[UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis S32X]] Processor Unit is not one of hers, but rather Plutia's, despite being based on the system she was named for.
** Neptune, the ''most'' eccentric of the main cast and the one often having to be set straight by someone more serious, often ends up having to play straight-man to her friends' more excitable alternate selves. See the OnlySaneWoman entry down below.

* DrivesLikeCrazy: Took Compa as a passenger when they flew in goddess form to Lastation, and apparently traumatized the poor girl. The Barrel Roll, Cuban Eight, and Immelmann didn't help.

* HeroesPreferSwords: Is the hero of the story, and uses {{Katana|sAreJustBetter}}, [[{{BFS}} Broadswords]], and {{Laser Blade}}s. Ultimately many will see that KatanasAreJustBetter; turns come up sooner, [[ElementalPowers gun attacks]] become stronger, and Purple Heart only uses katanas regardless of what she had equipped as Neptune.

* PurpleIsPowerful: She’s got purple hair and purple eyes and she’s quite strong in both of her forms.

* SplitPersonality: Neptune is a GenkiGirl, while her alter ego Purple Heart seems to be more of a LadyOfWar.

* ACupAngst: While Neptune normally doesn't mind her flat chest, when Younger and Older Brother begin to pretend she doesn't exist purely because she's flat, she's not above transforming to gain a bit of favor.
* AccidentalMisnaming: Neptune's name is laughably unpronounceable by Compa and random [=NPCs=] until IF comes along and lampshades it. This is why she's nicknamed Nep-Nep early on. And those people, who cannot pronounce her name, [[FridgeLogic can pronounce Planeptune totally fine]], which doesn't make sense as IF lampshades this.
* AllLovingHero: This incarnation of Neptune befriends everyone, she's got a big heart and she loves Nepgear.
* AmnesiacGod:
** More or less what starts off the series; Neptune remembers only her own name (and a few assorted foods), as well as how to fight, but nothing else.
** [[spoiler:She decides to stay an amnesiac because regaining her memories could make her regain the feelings she previously had towards the other Goddesses.]]
* AmnesiacHero: To the point that Neptune refers herself as one.
* BadassBoast: Actually manages to pull a few off, the most notable also being the most hilarious.
-->'''Neptune:''' One! A game goddess appears to rid the world of the wrong! Two! To rid the world of pirated copies! And three! To be rid of the grumpy old lady! I am Neptune, at your service!

* DrivesLikeCrazy: Took Compa as a passenger when they flew in goddess form to Lastation, and apparently traumatized the poor girl. The Barrel Roll, Cuban Eight, and Immelmann didn't help.

* HeroesPreferSwords: Neptune of course, fights with Swords. She starts with a bokuto, later she uses a bamboo sword, shifts to katanas and then she wields {{BFS}}s.

* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.

* SignatureHairDecs: Her personal class of head accessories is an arsenal of hair decorations, typically based on video games (such as her default D-Pad ones). She even fits the trope of "young girl with double hairclips".

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: As with every game, Neptune loves pudding; this game, however, explains why. Pudding was the first thing Compa fed Neptune when they met, and the girl had never had it before. She'll even eat an Antidote if it's made in pudding form.
** She even now seems to have a trademark ''least favorite food'', as her loathing of eggplants returns from ''Victory'' despite not having any memory to remember she hates it. And IF and Noire exploit the hell out of it.

--> '''Neptune''': *mumble, grumble* I'll raisin your face...

* GenkiGirl: She is pretty hyperactive in her normal form, in stark contrast to [[LadyOfWar her HDD form.]]

-->''"Wow, you have 'Nep' in your name, too?! Crazy!"''
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)

(Even if this version of Neptune is not a CPU, she'll be listed on this page due to being a version of Neptune)
A grown-up version of Neptune that Nepgear and Uzume encounter in the Zerodimension. Much like the original Neptune, she has a a bright and positive personality. Her hobby is taking samples and unusual insects and she has traveled through a lot of dimensions with the "Nep Note" in her hand. Despite being called "adult" Neptune, it's unclear if she's actually an adult or still a minor.

She is actually the Ultradimension version of Neptune from TheStinger that followed the True End of ''Victory''. She stumbled upon the Heartdimension during her travels and was asked by Kurome to retrieve her console from the depths of the Planeptune Basilicom in the Hyperdimension. She does so, but couldn't resist turning it on, which caused her to get shunted to the Zerodimension, caused Neptune to pick up said console when she dropped it, which then led to her and Nepgear getting dragged into the Zerodimension as well.
----
* AloofBigSister: Much like her counterpart at times, though this is mostly due to plot reasons rather than a part of her personality.
* AscendedExtra: [[spoiler:In a way, considering her first actual appearance in the series was during TheStinger of ''Victory''.]]
* BadLiar: [[spoiler:When she deems Croire too dangerous to be let free of the Nep-Note, Croire retorts that Neptune really just wants to continue taking advantage of her dimension hopping. Neptune's denial of this is incredibly forced, as is her attempt to feign ignorance when Croire notes that she'd been sabotaging [=AffimaX=].]]
* BadassNormal: Unlike the main Neptune, this one doesn't have the powers of a CPU at her disposal. Which makes the fact that she can fight toe to toe against [[spoiler: both Vert and Nepgear]] all the more startling. In fact, one of her early-game weapons is a two-handed greatsword turned into a set of aptly-named Twin Blades, with the description suggesting that whoever is capable of wielding this thing is probably more terrifying than the weapon itself.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: "N" in her case after finishing her boss-exclusive LimitBreak where the purple N shows up.
* BugCatching: [[spoiler:She was just a random girl who wanted to catch bugs when she caught Croire during TheStinger in ''Victory''.]]
* CallBack: Her gun is identical to the one used by her [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia Super Dimension counterpart]].
* CollectorOfTheStrange: Her hobby is collecting rare and strange insects to study as specimens.
* CoolBigSis: Unlike the main Neptune, who takes a much more ambiguous and sometimes unsympathetic approach to others, this Nep is much more openly caring; immediately getting friendly and declaring herself an ally of "cute girls".
* DimensionalTraveler: Unlike other characters who largely wind up crossing dimensions by accident, she apparently does so routinely on her hunt for more things to add to her collection, though she's actually using her captive Croire to do so.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: Unsurprisingly, this Neptune also hates eggplants, even after they've been cooked. Interestingly, she didn't even know what an eggplant was, but practically vomited from a single bite.
* DualWielding: To further differentiate her from the normal Neptune, this Neptune wields two swords at the same time, although it turns out the other Neptune can also dual wield as shown in their CombinationAttack but just chooses not to.

* EnigmaticMinion: Unlike the main Neptune who remains loyal to her friends despite her antics, this Neptune's true loyalty is somewhat confusing at times to say the least, and is frustratingly aloof to a great deal of characters. [[spoiler:In the Heartdimension H arc, it turns out that she has been siding with Hyperdimension Neptune and her companions all along.]]
* EvilWearsBlack: Her outfit is a black version of Hyperdimension Neptune's, and [[spoiler:despite starting out as an ally, she joins the antagonists midway through. However, she was secretly messing with their plans.]]
* FakeDefector: [[spoiler:While on Kurome's side, she secretly undermines them by misplacing the millionth ran-pig for a mass sacrifice ritual and leaving the portal to Heartdimension open. Unfortunately, the bad guys saw through her act from the start and attempt to kill her in the 3rd arc.]]
* FightingYourFriend: [[spoiler:Nepgear and Vert have to fight against her during Vert's story in the Hyperdimension G arc.]]
* FriendlyEnemy: [[spoiler:After her casual greeting and providing a drink, it takes a moment for Vert and Nepgear to process her proclamation of having joined [=AffimaX=] and coming to fight them.]]

[[spoiler:Turns out leaving S-Sha's ritual one ran-pig short of the necessary million and leaving her and Kurome's escape portal open wasn't just her being careless.]] Unfortunately, both Arfoire and [[spoiler: Kurome]] caught on to her by the early Heart Dimension arc. Meanwhile, Croire is very surprised at how manipulative this Neptune really is.
* OneHandedZweihander: Some of her weapons are meant to be used with two hands, yet she uses two with one hand each.
* NeverMyFault: After learning that [[spoiler:Arfoire tricked her, Uzume and Umio into feeding her their disliked foods so she could restore her strength and escape from the Nep-Note]], Uzume and Umio berate themselves for being such picky eaters... while Neptune simply throws the blame on eggplants for tasting so bad.
* PerkyFemaleMinion: [[spoiler:Despite helping Nepgear and Uzume fight Arfoire in the Zerodimension, she later works with that same Arfoire under Kurome, but she remains as friendly as ever and was actually trying to sabotage their plans.]]
* ThePollyanna: Like regular Neptune, she's still has an energetic, cheerful, peppy, upbeat and lively personality.
* PowerParasite: A benevolent example, in that she can use the abilities of anything she captures in her Nep-Note. For example, she uses Croire's DimensionalTraveler ability this way.
* SealedEvilInACan: Neptune owns such a can, which is a book that can capture a weakened enemy and use some of their abilities. It constantly drains the energy of its prisoners, but they can break out if they eat enough food. Sadly, this doesn't seem to have any applications in actual gameplay.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: Others mention that older Neptune is quite the looker. Neptune herself is quite happy to see how she'd look if she grew up.
* SkinshipGrope: She was pretty taken with Vert's boobs when they were in a spa together, and took quite a bit of time feeling them up. [[BigBreastPride Vert didn't mind though, and was in fact proud when she complimented them]].
* SummonMagic: Whereas other characters call forth mechas or weapons from out of nowhere, this Neptune can summon...a giant helping of [[TrademarkFavoriteFood pudding]] to flatten the enemy. Even more noteworthy is the fact that she brings out two giant spoons to replace her two swords for this one attack.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Much like Uzume towards Plutia, she plays the similar role like Peashy, despite the fact that she's not a goddess; although the execution is somewhat darker.
* SwordAndGun: A CallBack to the first game's battle system, in which each of the 4 [=CPUs=] wielded a pistol alongside their melee weapon. In the case of adult Neptune, she mainly attacks with her dual swords, and uses her pistol only during special attacks.
* SympathyForTheDevil: In the VR segments, [[spoiler:she expresses pity toward Kurome for being so obsessed with revenge and laments not being able to talk her out of it, but was happy when Uzume (who underwent a SplitPersonalityMerge in the Revival Ending) said that Kurome didn't dislike the time they spent together.]]
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Her "Nepnicle Combination" [=EXE=] Drive starts with her throwing her swords at the enemy, then close the range with pistol fire, before catching the swords followed by a multi-slash combo on the target. Finally she finishes it off with a final pistol shot.
* TokenEvilTeammate: While she is not evil, her confusing loyalty makes it hard to pinpoint to whom she had sided with.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Two layers of this. Through the midgame [[spoiler:while working with the villains, she disguises her acts of sabotage as incompetence of this sort.]] Then when she finally explains herself, it is revealed [[spoiler: she stumbled into Heartdimension by accident and agreed to retrieve the Console for Kurome, then accidentally activated it while taking a closer look in town - leaving it in an alley for her counterpart to find while she ended up in Zerodimension. * VagueAge: By the official site's own admission, it's not clear whether she's an actually an adult or not.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:After figuring out that Neptune has been sabotaging her plans, Kurome decides that Neptune herself has little value as long as they can take Croire away from her, and orders Arfoire to dispose of her. -->''"Wow, you have 'Nep' in your name, too?! Crazy!"''
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)

* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:Sorta. Despite the trouble she caused througout the Hyperdimension G arc, Nepgear and the other Candidates save her from Arfoire, even before learning that she was a FakeDefector.]]
* GenkiGirl: Not unlike her Hyperdimension counterpart.
* GenreSavvy: Much like regular Neptune, she is very aware of the standard tropes and comments on them frequently. However there is a difference in that Neptune usually does so to complain about them and their cliched usage, while this Neptune does so in order to explain why she is doing a certain action. Like healing up the party before the next stage of the boss fight in order to maintain the RPG standards.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Or so it seems.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: She brings up events from other dimensions she's stopped by on occasion.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: She's what happens when Neptune stops slacking off and starts to manipulate events to work out in favor for the heroes. !!Original Hyperdimension Neptunia:

!!Victory:
* AlternateSelf: The Ultradimension timeline (i.e. Plutia's world) versions of each of the goddesses, from Gamindustri in TheEighties, are their counterparts to the main goddesses we know in the main Hyperdimension timeline (i.e. Neptune's world). Neptune's counterpart goes further into being an entirely different person with the same color scheme and base personality. [[spoiler:Neptune's actual Ultradimension counterpart appears in TheStinger for the True End, and would later make her franchise debut in the [[VideoGame/MegaDimensionNeptuniaVII next canon game.]]]]
* BadassAdorable: They are goddesses after all, with potentially impressive fighting prowess to match that status.
* BiologicalImmortality: While they can be ''killed'' Goddesses cannot die otherwise, and at whatever point in their life they gain a CPU Memory in the Ultradimension, they stop aging.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: All [=CPUs=] have a power symbol in their eyes when in HDD.
* {{Flight}}: Most of the time they just [[PowerFloats float]], though they do tend to take to more extreme flights for special attacks. Yellow Heart is the most notable example though as she does so outside of combat. In one cutscene, she ''actually'' flies up into the air and then flies away, complete with a ''sonic boom'' no less.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
** Neptune is '''Sanguine''', being the most outgoing and cheerful of the four.
** Noire is '''Melancholic''', being solitary and prone to hide her feelings.
** Blanc is '''Choleric''', being the quickest to anger.
** Vert is '''Phlegmatic''', being the voice of reason in the group and generally the nicest.
* MagicalGirlWarrior: All [=CPUs=] have elements of these.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various consoles.
* OddJobGods: Create a nation, guide its technological growth, and do mercenary work for the people. There's a reason for that last part.
%%* PhysicalGoddess
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: This primarily only applies to the Hyperdimension timeline [=CPUs=] and CPU Candidates, of the Ultradimension [=CPUs=] only Blanc [[spoiler:and Rei Ryghts]] applies as the rest only recently became immortal so they are at most only a few decades older than they appear.
* TookALevelInKindness: In ''[=Re;Birth3=]'' compared to their ''Victory'' incarnations, continuing the trend set in ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' and ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' to their originals. It's really apparent when comparing their treatment of Nepgear, where it's much more lighthearted in nature.
* TrueCompanions: What is touching about this game is how Neptune considers her fellow [=CPUs=] to be this, even when in an alternate universe, she always trusts that they'll do the right thing, or they aren't really plotting something evil.
* VitriolicBestBuds: The Ultradimension [=CPUs=] are overall more selfish and rude to each other compared to their Hyperdimension counterparts, with [[TokenEvilTeammate Iris Heart]] being just as dangerous to them as she is to her enemies (such as using Noire as her outlet for her pent-up aggression), to the point of bordering on WithFriendsLikeThese. That said, they still manage to be helpful allies to each other, courtesy of Neptune.

[[quoteright:162:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e3b6_6312.png]]
* ACupAngst: While normally she doesn't really show any concern about her lack of assets, she does react negatively when Vert mocks her by calling them raisins.
--> '''Neptune''': *mumble, grumble* I'll raisin your face...
** Her normal attitude in regards to this matter is likely because she's perfectly aware of [[SheIsAllGrownUp how she looks while in HDD.]]
* AloofBigSister: For the most part, she doesn't seem to care what happens to Nepgear anymore.
Overlaps with GeniusDitz.
** Shown even more to the point where (Child) IF is impressed with her. She managed to understand all the references IF made in her notebook, and showed quite a bit of knowledge that no one can be blamed for lacking such as the fact that Beelzebub is the demon of gluttony.
** She also starts [[MouthfulOfPi reciting pi]] in lieu of counting down from ten, and shows some political savvy every now and then.
%%* BigEater
* BigSisterInstinct: Despite all the crap she gives Nepgear she will quickly jump to her defense if anyone else, aside from Plutia, does anything to her intentionally or not. When Rei ends up [[CatapultNightmare headbutting Nepgear waking up from a nightmare]] she snaps at her for it.
--> '''Neptune''': [[DeathGlare Yo, lady!]] What's the big idea, waking up and headbutting my totally awesome little sister!?
* BraidsOfAction: She has them as Purple Heart.
* BrokenPedestal: Nepgear rather loses faith in her sister after she gets abandoned ''again''. [[spoiler:This is, however, after she manages to make it to the alternate dimension her sister is in...and her sister leaves her with babies to go to Leanbox. ]]
** However, in Neptune's defense, [[spoiler:leaving Nepgear with the babies was probably the most sensible option available to Neptune at that point of time; having just arrived in the Ultradimension robbed Nepgear of the ability to shift into Purple Sister, at least until a spare Memory Core could be found and given to her. Given that the entire party was already wary of Vert's invitation to Leanbox as potentially being a trap, it's hard to fault Neptune for at least this incident. Nepgear was also just being difficult in this particular scene.]]
* BroughtDownToNormal: When she is sent back into the past, she loses her ability to transform into HDD. She initially doesn't mind, seeing it as freedom from being forced to work, but quickly realizes [[GrowingUpSucks she doesn't like the full implications]] and [[ImmortalitySeeker decides to rectify it.]]
** [[spoiler: CantStayNormal: She gains it back from a CPU Memory at the same time Ultradimension Noire gains her own goddess form.]]
* CharacterNarrator: Noire even has to lampshade the fact that she's just mumbling to herself.
* ContraltoOfDanger: Her voice drops down considerably as Purple Heart.
* CoolShip: Can turn into one, just like in the [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia original Neptunia]]. As a bonus, you can get Plutia to do it with her for [[CombinationAttack a double helping of]] [[WaveMotionGun purple laser death]]...or at least its "[[EarthShatteringKaboom dramatization]]".
* CrashIntoHello: How Neptune meets Plutia and Ultradimension Noire.
* DistractedByMyOwnSexy: Her first words after seeing Purple Heart [[spoiler:via CloningBlues from Ultradimension Rei]]?
--> '''Neptune''': Oh, wow! Who ''is'' this stylish, cool, beautiful girl!?\\
'''Neptune''': *with sparkling eyes* Still, I approve of me. I look pretty hot!
* DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength: When trying to keep Rei from running away because she didn't want to be lonely, she nearly chokes the poor girl.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Eggplants]], for some reason. [[spoiler:Unless it's so ridiculous it CrossesTheLineTwice. Then she doesn't care.]] A certain someone ([[spoiler:Iffy]]) soon comes to agree. ''Vigorously.''
* DeadpanSnarker: Does this sometimes when talking to Noire after she learns that she was voted the most popular in the other world.
--> '''Neptune:''' I See. Even with Noire there it's bad times. Not even the great Popular Heart can help?
* DullSurprise: Invoked by Neptune when Vert reveals herself as Leanbox's CPU.
--> '''Neptune:''' Oh my gosh. Impossible, you guys. Like seriously. Vert's the CPU of Leanbox? Mind: blown.\\
'''Plutia:''' Neppy, you don't sound very surprised to me...
* FanservicePack: Her Purple Heart form has [[BuxomIsBetter grown in the right places]] over the TimeSkip between ''mk2'' and ''Victory''.
* FatalFlaw: Pride, Pettiness, and Laziness.
''[[ChronicHeroSyndrome This]]'' is actually [[KansasCityShuffle exploited]] by the Seven Sages.
* GenkiGirl: She is pretty hyperactive in her normal form, in stark contrast to [[LadyOfWar her HDD form.]]
** To the point that other characters tell her to ''stop'' BreakingTheFourthWall already.
%%* GirlyRun
* GrowingUpSucks: She ''really'' does not want to grow older.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Uses [[KatanasAreJustBetter Katanas]], [[{{BFS}} Broadswords]], and [[LaserBlade Laser Blades]]. Ultimately many will see that KatanasAreJustBetter as Purple Heart only uses katanas regardless of what she had equipped as Neptune.
* HypocriticalHumor: When explaining her [[DoesNotLikeSpam hatred of eggplants]] she states that eggplants turn your eyes purple... which ignores the fact that her eyes ARE purple.
* ImmortalityBeginsAtTwenty: She mentions that [=CPUs=] from her timeline are born that way.
* ImmortalitySeeker: While initially glad to be rid of the responsibilities that come with being a CPU she decides that she wants to become one again due the fact that she doesn't want to start aging.
* InSeriesNickname: Has no less than '''4''' of them, the most of any character in the series.
** Nep-Nep / Nepu-Nepu (Japanese) : Used by Compa
** Nep / Nepu-ko (Japanese) : Used by IF
** Neppy / Nep-chan (Japanese): used by Pluta / Pururut
** Neptuna / Neputenu (Japanese) : Used by Peashy
* {{Irony}}: The [[UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis S32X]] Processor Unit is not one of hers, but rather Plutia's, despite being based on the system she was named for.
** Neptune, the ''most'' eccentric of the main cast and the one often having to be set straight by someone more serious, often ends up having to play straight-man to her friends' more excitable alternate selves. See the OnlySaneWoman entry down below.
%%* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Her second [[LimitBreak EXE Drive]] "CPU Neptune", which sees Nep transforming into a CoolShip. Her boss-enemy-only extension takes it a step further by delivering another payload.
* {{Malaproper}}: A new trait for Neptune. She has a habit of screwing up common turns of phrase like saying that Nepgear is "wet behind the years" or that she's not about to "spin the bucket" after her crash landing on Ultradimension Noire. It goes well with her ditzy personality.
* MrViceGuy: Neptune does not like working, gets easily riled up, is petty and a bit insensitive.
* OlderAndWiser: Neptune is more mature and understanding in this game than before, but still very keet.
* OnlySaneWoman: Surprisingly enough, Neptune is forced into this role quite a lot in this game. During story segments she's usually the one keeping a level head, and in a few comedy scenes she was made into the straight-man. This is a result of being TheOlderImmortal in a world where her juniors all have several [[VagueAge hundred or thousand years]] less experience than her, and conflicting attitudes to match.
--> '''Neptune''': How did I become the only one with any common sense?
* PiggybackCute: After being forced by Plutia, Neptune (as Purple Heart) gives her one.
%%* PurpleIsPowerful
* PunchClockHero: Basically, Neptune does CPU work because she's forced to do it. She'd probably only ever work to satisfy basic life expenses if she weren't. [[SubvertedTrope However]], she's also not the sort of person who would ignore other people in need if she can do anything about it. [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere Just don't ask her to get in the way of Iris Heart.]]
* RestartAtLevelOne: Very much lampshaded after the first fight. Falls into GameplayAndStorySegregation when on a NewGamePlus.
* RotatingProtagonist: Both she and Plutia insist in their Self Intros that they are the main character, and while Plutia insists that not only is she the main character but specifies that [[DecoyProtagonist Neptune is not]] they do actually largely share the role.
* ShipTease: Many of the official art has her doing this with Noire and now even Plutia.
* ShootTheDog: Shortly after meeting up with Uni, Ram, and Rom she tells Plutia to just go ahead and transform and do what she's going to do so as to avoid having her traumatize them in the middle of battle where it would cost them their lives.
* SiblingRivalry:
** Despite not being Vert's sister, Neptune now has this dynamic with '''Ultradimension''' Vert, due to Vert making Nepgear a CPU, and, (by her logic anyway) this making Nepgear her little sister due to being born from the same memory core.
%%* TheSlacker
* SlapOnTheWristNuke: Remember the Nep-ship back in VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia? [[TheBusCameBack It's back.]]
** Also slightly averted, it has received a lot more power.
** Her "Who Done It?! Nova", AKA [[MakesAsMuchSenseInContext the Inafune Face Ship]], does a version with triple {{Wave Motion Gun}}s.
* SplitPersonality: Neptune is a GenkiGirl, while her alter ego Purple Heart seems to be more of a LadyOfWar.
* SwordPointing: One of her attacks makes her do this before she delivers the blows.
* TooDumbToLive: According to the other [=CPUs=] anyway. When she starts to wonder where the Ultradimension Neptune is at they point out that, if the Ultradimension Neptune had the same general personality as the Hyperdimension Neptune, she has very likely ended up starving herself to death or worse without the immortality from being a CPU. [[spoiler: Hilariously enough, Ultradimension Neptune is not only alive and well in TheStinger of the True Ending. Not to mention, as ''VideoGame/MegadimensionNeptuniaVII'' reveals, she's the one who gets to solve the final problem about [[ForTheEvulz Croire]] without even knowing what was going on and just wanted to show it off to her friends in that dimension when she caught her.]]
* TookALevelInJerkass: Compared to her lazy but well-meaning depiction in the earlier games, Neptune in this game is a lot more lazy and selfish, being rather uncaring to Nepgear (even before they went to the Ultradimension) and openly rude to Noire, leading to the former [[WhatTheHellHero calling her out on her callous behavior towards her]].
* TookALevelInKindness: In ''[=Re;Birth3=]'', she's much more accepting of her sister than her ''Victory'' incarnation.
* TotallyRadical: She tends to use some 80's/90's slang such as "bad dude", her death cry of "I'm... outies...", and even "totally rad" at one point. She also has a tinge of [[ValleyGirl Valley Girl]] in her voice. [[FridgeBrilliance Keep in mind that]] [[JustifiedTrope she is supposed to represent]] Creator/{{SEGA}}, [[JustifiedTrope who were all about being]] [[TotallyRadical Totally Radical]] in the 90's. For once, this may help her fit in.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: She loves custard pudding.
* TrappedInThePast: What kicks off ''Victory'''s plot is that a dimension rift sucks Neptune into the 1980's.
* VerbalTic: "Neppu". Whenever she is startled.
* WaveMotionGun: ''Twice.'' The earliest is when using the "Who Done It?! Nova", a mixture of eye lasers and mouth beam from the [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Inafune Face Ship]]. The second is a CombinationAttack with Plutia, "CPU: Plutia", in which whatever the hell the second part of their attack is is "dramatized" as a ''[[EarthShatteringKaboom Gamindustri-destroying]]'' giant [[PurpleIsPowerful purple]] laser beam.
* WhatTheHellHero:
** Nepgear calls Neptune "stupid big-sister-who-abandoned-me-in-a-different-dimension". That's a pretty apt description.
** If you thought Nepgear was the only one upset with her, you couldn't be further from the truth; Histoire has a much more scathing opinion of Neptune in the Japanese dialogue [[spoiler: where she bluntly states that Neptune is absolutely unqualified to even be Nepgear's elder sister.]]
** Hell she even ''calls herself'' out on it (very briefly though) when she claims that she fails as a big sister in the prologue. Nepgear however forgives her because they finally get to be alone together (even if it's just the prologue).
** In true 4th-Wall-Breaking-Neptune fashion, she even goes as far as to use ''the trophy descriptions'' to apologize to Nepgear. That's some hardcore guilt.
* TheWonka: Neptune is ''very'' eccentric, and others often find it difficult to keep track of her logic. Though she needs a little motivation first to get off her rear, she'll get pretty much ''anything'' done once she does.
* WoodenKatanasAreEvenBetter: Her starting weapon. She found it in a dumpster. Still loves it.

* ActorAllusion: The fact that MAGES. is able to push her buttons by calling her "Assistant" is due to Noire's JP voice actress also playing Kurisu Makise in ''VisualNovel/SteinsGate''.

* BaitAndSwitch ShoutOut: Her Stone Leek outfit comes with the description that she thinks it vaguely resembles some kind of virtual idol. Clearly this is going to be a [[Music/{{Vocaloid}} Miku]] color scheme? Almost, but with the hair color it's clearly [[VideoGame/MugenSouls Dees Vanguard]].

* ButtMonkey: People seem to fall on her. [[RunningGag A lot]].
* ContraltoOfDanger: Her voice in HDD very noticeably drops a few octaves. More noticable in [[Creator/ErinFitzgerald the English dub]].
* CosplayOtakuGirl: She designs her own clothing, some of which is admittedly meant to be reminiscent of something or someone else. The default design is by her own admission what she imagined a CPU would wear before she ever even became one. Her Face Visor outright says it's intended for cosplay, [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial which she doesn't do or anything.]]
* CrashIntoHello: How pretty much ''anyone'' meets Ultradimension Noire.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Her main color is black, and she is, while arrogant, a heroine.
* DoesNotLikeMen: Defending her position as the gayest character in the franchise, when [[spoiler:Anonydeath showed up outside of his armor masquerading as Peashy's father, everyone besides Noire and Blanc found him cute, and Noire had to remind everyone that he is a ''man'']]. She also responds "men are the worst" when she hears that Tekken was harassed by men that she beat at the arcade.
** The only moment she showed some interest in men was in the non-canon CD ''If A Goddess Was Your Wife CD Track 02 - Noire''. which doesn't take place in any universe since [[WordOfGod Tsunako clarified in one of her 4-komas that it's just the goddesses roleplaying as if they were married]] so she actually have never show any interest in the opposite gender.

* GirlishPigtails: She dons this hairstyle, but unlike her Hyperdimension counterpart, she keeps the twintails as Black Heart.
%%* HeroesPreferSwords
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: She doubts herself when leading others.

She even tries to pass the role of straight man off to Blanc at one point. Blanc refuses, however, preferring to be, as she puts it, an audience member.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: She ends up playing the same general role in this game as IF did in the previous games. Blanc points this out in Chapter 8, though from her perspective it's the other way around, by calling IF Noire-II.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: She's not lonely, not at all.
* ThousandYardStare: After her "long, intimate discussion" with Iris Heart at the start of chapter 3.

* {{Tsundere}}: Because of this Neptune has taken to calling her "Lonely Heart" whenever she falls into her Tsun personality.

* ACupAngst: This acts as her major BerserkButton, a fact not helped by the other goddesses undergoing BreastExpansion in their HDD forms. When Yellow Heart first appears, she, alongside Vert, proceeded to take her down out of jealousy of Yellow Heart having a bigger chest than her.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Implied to be the reason she's so fond of Plutia.
* BreakTheHaughty: She challenges Neptune, Noire and Plutia to a televised 3-on-1 to prove herself as the only worthwhile CPU. ** Justified since [[spoiler:the only man she's been seen to have ever dealt with stabbed her in the back and stole her country from her]].
** Then again, when RED all but proposes to her, Blanc says she doesn't mind either way.
-->'''Blanc:''' I don't care. It kind of soothes my soul to be called someone's wife, male or female.
* DropTheHammer: Blanc's main weapon is a hammer.
** AnAxeToGrind: The hammer turns into an axe when she becomes White Heart.
* {{Expy}}: Blanc is pretty much a white Vita.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Just like Iris Heart, just because she's a good guy, doesn't mean she'll show mercy to an enemy.
* HairTriggerTemper: She's much more aggressive and hostile than her Hyperdimension counterpart.
* HeroicBSOD: For a brief period after she gets beat up by Neptune, Noire, and Plutia live on camera.
* HumanizingTears: Having suffered a humiliating defeat against the other goddesses and being insulted by Noire, she immediately drops her cold and hostile attitude and breaks down crying. It's later revealed by Iris Heart that her [[SourOutsideSadInside abrasive behavior was just a facade]].
* HypocriticalHumor: Blanc says Noire has a short fuse...while simply looking at Blanc funny can piss ''her'' off.
* IHatePastMe: She's ashamed of her past self for acting like she was the only worthwhile goddess who didn't need any friends, especially when she sees similar behavior from [[spoiler:Rei]].
%%* IdiotHair: Has one as White Heart.
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: [[spoiler: Ultradimension Blanc outright requests that Hyperdimension Blanc give her one of her sisters to raise in her dimension. Needless to say [[MamaBear Hyperdimension Blanc]] will hear nothing of it.]]

* MeaningfulName: "Blanc" means "white".
* {{Miko}}: Her redesign seems to be based on this. In fact, very close to [[Franchise/TouhouProject another red-white miko]].
* MythologyGag: This Blanc is more antagonistic to the other [=CPUs=] because of what happened during the UsefulNotes/{{SNESCDROM}}. Furethermore, Nintendo decided ''not'' to join the bandwagon of [=CDs=], and implemented ''strict'', almost KnightTemplar levels of guidelines for releasing games (the Seal of Quality, for example), but the decision had even worse expenses (cartridges would go for 70 USD each). Finally, one of the weirdest case examples of swearing? ''VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay''.
* TheNapoleon: Until [[spoiler: [[TokenMiniMoe Peashy]]]] arrived, she was one of the shortest of the [=CPUs=] and is by far the most hot-headed and vulgar
* TheOlderImmortal: When it comes to the main Goddesses of the Ultradimension, Blanc is the oldest, having been a [=CPU=] for several centuries, while Vert, Plutia, and Noire have only been a CPU for a few years (bordering on decades). The audience and cast are constantly reminded of her age by her habit of referring to the other Goddesses as "brand-new baby [=CPUs=]", "newbie", or anything referring to how much younger than her they are. [[spoiler: Her age, however, is nothing compared to Rei...]]
%%* PrettyInMink: One of her outfits has sleeves trimmed with brown fur.
%%* RedEyesTakeWarning

* StoneWall: Blanc's HP, Vitality, and Mentality are all very high, making her very durable, but as a result however she suffers from subpar Strength and low speed.
* TomboyishVoice: She normally has a soft voice, but takes on a more aggressive tone with vulgar speech patterns when she gets riled up, which becomes her default manner of speaking as White Heart.
* TookALevelInKindness: Overtime, she becomes more open and friendly to the rest of the team, although she still has bad blood with Noire. Iris Heart also states that beneath her tough and easily angered personality is a shy and sensitive young girl.
* VitriolicBestBuds: How Neptune sees her relationship with Noire, much as both of them try to deny it. Considering this is [[TheGadfly Neptune]] and Blanc and Noire constantly argue whenever they're together, it's not surprising.

* BigBreastPride: She's quite boastful about being the most well-endowed of the [=CPUs=] in their default states, taking particular joy in mocking [[ACupAngst Blanc]] for not getting any bigger even after transforming. This leads to frustration when the even bigger Yellow Heart shows up, even wanting to ''kill her'' just so she can reinstate herself as the largest bust.
* BladeOnAStick: One of her weapons -- both in civilian and HDD form -- is a spear [[note]] Green Heart used to use a [[ThisIsADrill drill]] in the [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia first]] [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaMk2 two]] games. [[/note]].
* CainAndAbelAndSeth: While not Nepgear's true sister (except by her own logic), Ultradimension Vert plays this trope up when she makes Nepgear a CPU, claiming her as her little sister. It's mostly played for laughs.
* TheConqueror: Vert, this time around, plans on invading other countries to solve her country's problems.
* ContraltoOfDanger: Her voices takes on a slightly stronger tone while transformed.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Her [[SarcasmMode totally legitimate]] reasoning to kill Yellow Heart is that the latter [[GagBoobs has a bigger rack than her]]. [[ACupAngst Blanc]] also follows suit, albeit for a different reason.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Only MMO shut-ins with no lives could get a CPU Memory indeed.
* GlassCannon: Vert has balanced stats with a focus on high Strength and Intelligence, but suffers from low HP and Vitality as a result.
* GamerChick: It doesn't come up as much as with her previous versions, but she's still just as obsessive. At one point she says that it's unfortunate that she's been able to put in ''only'' 150 hours into a game that had only been out for a week. An unlockable has her brag that she's managed to get 30 hours of gaming in a day.
%%* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: As Vert.
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: Vert's reaction to Nepgear is this, giving her a CPU memory and claiming her as her little sister. Whether or not the sibling part becomes a binding thing after, they ''do'' immediately gain a very good ranking in Lily Points.
** She gets this reaction again when [[spoiler:Peashy]] mispronounces her name as Bert. She even goes so far as to offer to trade Nepgear back if she could just take [[spoiler: Peashy]].
* ITakeOffenseToThatLastOne: In one of the Nepstation segments, there was a scandal involved with her photo shoot revealing her three sizes and her age. The one thing she was complaining about? ''Her public age revealed.''
* MaamShock: If Yellow Heart having a larger bust than her hadn't already angered her enough, she then proceeds to address her as "Mommy". Meanwhile, Noire and Neptune can barely contain their laughter. She was later concerned that [[spoiler:Peashy]] might call her this again when they're testing if she remembers their names.
* MeaningfulName: "Vert" means "green" in French, and she's wearing green, which also represents the Xbox consoles.
* MistakenForGay: Her quick attachment to Nepgear raises several eyebrows, but she insists that it's platonic. She actually wants a little sister.
* MythologyGag: The original Xbox went public [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_(console)#History early 2000 at Game Developer's Conference]] somewhere close to the same time as the [=PS2=] had successful sales. Original development started in ''1998''. Microsoft also wanted to focus on Japan due to [[FollowTheLeader successful video game sales there]].
* NeverMyFault: During the True End both Verts fight over who gets to be Peashy's "big sister" at what times. When she snaps at the two of them for it, each Vert insists that it was the other's fault for making Peashy upset with them.
* NoblewomansLaugh: On at least one occasion, she displays this, which is honestly quite expected.
* SecretIdentity: When Neptune reveals that she knows who she is, Vert pulls her aside and orders her to keep it to herself so as to not ruin it for [[FourthWallObserver the people on the other side of the screen]] and [[DiscussedTrope because a maiden has to have her secrets]].
* SiblingRivalry: Despite not being Neptune's sister, Ultradimension Vert now has this dynamic with Neptune, due to Vert making Nepgear a CPU, and, (by her logic anyway) this making Nepgear her little sister due to being born from the same memory core.
* SoreLoser: She [[{{Understatement}} doesn't react kindly]] to her and [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe Purple Sister]] being bested by the other goddesses, who even call her out for just ''how'' sore she is as a loser [[note]] She claims that if it were one-on-one, she'd have won. Except that she wouldn't; if one takes the time to equip all the playable characters with identical low-tier bangles (or by taking note of the base stats that are displayed onscreen during a Level Up), Vert actually has a horrendous VIT stat (the lowest in the entire game). She might be able to dish it out (she has the second highest STR rating and a very high INT rating), but one hard hit would theoretically be sufficient to take her down. especially against someone like Blanc/White Heart who has the highest VIT rating of the entire cast.[[/note]].
* SpannerInTheWorks: Mr. Badd's plan to be rid of the goddesses [[spoiler:went perfectly. The only thing he couldn't foresee was that a goddess no one knew existed would bail them out.]]

* {{Underboobs}}: She plays this trope straight.

!!mk2:
* AwesomeButImpractical:
** Superior Angels. What it does is that it hits all enemies for 9999 for 15 times. The downside? You need all four CPU Candidates at 100 AP and have at least 100 SP. The SP gaining isn't that bad, but in a game where later enemies do a OneHitKill on you, AP gaining isn't easy as it seems.
** The [=CPUs=]' DLC CombinationAttack Guardian Force also falls for this. It's arguably stronger and has a wider range but costs more SP; basically it's more awesome but also more impractical to use.
** Just even using HDD form is already impractical to use in this series thanks to the constant SP drain.
** Neither of these are an issue in the remake.

* TheComicallySerious: Despite being a LadyOfWar, Purple Heart still has many of Neptune's mannerisms, like loving pudding and getting Arfoire's name wrong.
** After Neptune does her badass boast in Lowee and transforms, Purple Heart then comments that she should have done it in that goddess form.
* CoolBigSis: [[spoiler:Instantly declares her intention to become one upon meeting Nepgear for the first time, in stark (and probably deliberate) contrast to her behavior in ''Victory''.]]
* [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass Crouching Ditz, Hidden Goddess]]: To the point that ''no one'' in Planeptune expected their goddess to be such an adorable GenkiGirl.
* DeadpanSnarker: More so in the English version.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Neptune told Noire she wants to protect everyone in front of her, and would be happy just seeing the faces of the people she saved...and pudding.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: As listed further on, she hates eggplant.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Took Compa as a passenger when they flew in goddess form to Lastation, and apparently traumatized the poor girl. The Barrel Roll, Cuban Eight, and Immelmann didn't help.
* GenkiGirl: Neptune is extremely energetic, especially in the Japanese version.
* TheHero: Unlike in previous installments, where she just goes with the flow (or in ''Victory'', where she's arguably less heroic), the Neptune of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' is heroic through and through, outright stating she wants to protect everyone around her.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Neptune of course, fights with Swords. She starts with a bokuto, later she uses a bamboo sword, shifts to katanas and then she wields {{BFS}}s.
* HypocriticalHumor: Though it might go unnoticed, Neptune told Compa that a character wielding a giant weapon is cliche...and yet her weapon as Purple Heart is a giant katana. Later on, Neptune herself can also yield swords twice her own size.
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Neptune outright told Noire that, even though they're both girls, if Noire loves her, she'll accept her. Given this is Neptune, how serious she was is debatable.
* InstantExpert: Neptune can wield any weapon ''vaguely shaped'' like a sword. Even when she finds a bokutō in the dumpster, and has no memory of how to fight, she wields it flawlessly.
* UsefulNotes/JapaneseHonorifics: She adds "-chan" on the names of almost every Maker. With the exception of Compa, she calls them I-chan, MAGES.-chan, Marve-chan, Tekken-chan, [=CyberConnect2=]-chan, Falcom-chan and [[OddNameOut Puchiko]].
* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* LargeHam: Especially in the Japanese version.
* LightningBruiser: Neptune is a pure physical fighter.
* MagneticHero: Her friendly personality and strong will to help other people unites all four goddesses despite their hostile past of the Console War. The Ultradimension Makers also join her party because they are friends with the Neptune they met in ''Victory''.
* MediumAwareness: Lampshades gaming tropes as they happen and often comments on how her "main character" status keeps saving the day.
** After the party splits up in Lastation and she's left alone:
--->'''Neptune:''' "Ahh? Hello? Aren't I supposed to be the Heroine here? Why am I alone then?"\\
'''Neptune:''' ...\\
'''Neptune:''' "You've got to be kidding me, right?! I'm the main in this game!"\\
'''Neptune:''' "To be singled in an even-numbered party is just cruel!" \\
'''Neptune:''' "What should I do?! I can't be a loner like the [[VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes No-More-Heroines]], Noire?!"
** As expected, Noire then appears for a short event. Later, when the party regroups:
--->'''IF:''' "Lucky, as usual. It's like you're [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall scripted to always get the best results...]]"\\
'''Compa:''' "But Nep-Nep did make it easy for us."\\
'''Neptune:''' "Heh, heh! Behold the power of destiny on the side of the main character!"
* OddNameOut: She's the only one of the four goddesses who is not named after a color.
* OlderAlterEgo: Purple Heart is this to Neptune. Purple Heart is basically a mature, sexier and stronger version of Neptune, which is reflected thtough her physical appearance and voice.
* PokemonSpeak: Despite not being a Pokemon, Neptune engages in this.
-->'''Compa:'''" We'll be serious, then! Go! Nep-Nep, I choose you!"\\
'''Neptune:''' "[[PokemonSpeak Pika!]]"
* PornStash: When she thinks she's dead at the beginning of the game she despairs that she should have finished her game backlog and deleted her hard drive. When Histore tells her to calm down she asks how she can possibly stay calm when someone can see her "special" collections.
* PowerTrio: With Compa and IF.
* PunnyName: The Holy Fang Blade is called "Segatou" in the Japanese version, which includes the name SEGA in it. It fits, since Neptune and Planeptune are based of SEGA consoles.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Has one of the highest strength stats in the game, and is the only character naturally able to surpass the damage limit.
* ShipTease: Unlike the first (and subsequent games) were Neptune's ship tease with Noire is done through supplementary materials, the sexual tension between them in the remake is far more obvious.
* SignatureHairDecs: Her personal class of head accessories is an arsenal of hair decorations, typically based on video games (such as her default D-Pad ones). She even fits the trope of "young girl with double hairclips".
* TheSlacker: Would really like to just laze around playing games and eating pudding all day.
* TakeAThirdOption: Neptune does this as a result of losing her memory. Histoire offers to return it, but she decides not to, as she's gotten friendly with quite a few people with her new personality, and would rather not go back to her former self. [[spoiler:She also does this when the other goddesses are debating the Deep Fry debate in chapter 8. None of them like her stance, and declare "war" on her as well.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: Compared to her ''Victory'' incarnation. She is much less of an ass, much less lazy, and legitimately loves Nepgear.
* VaporWear: The occasional PantyShot aside, she doesn't seem to have anything on under her default sweater (which is actually a "Parka One-Piece," a dress somehow).
* WeaksauceWeakness: Her low MEN makes her weak against magic attacks.

!!mk2:
* DuetBonding: When Neptune and Nepgear produce their IdolSinger video.
* FastballSpecial: [[spoiler:Neptune gets tossed by the three goddesses towards Nepgear in one of the endings.]]
* GenkiGirl: In her normal form
* GirlyRun
* GlassCannon: As Purple Heart with the default Processor setup in ''mk2''.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Uses [[KatanasAreJustBetter Katanas]], [[{{BFS}} Broadswords]], and [[LaserBlade Laser Blades]]. Ultimately, many will see that KatanasAreJustBetter; turns come up sooner and Purple Heart only uses katanas, regardless of what she had equipped as Neptune.
* InTheNameOfTheMoon: One of Neptune's battle quotes involves this.
* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* MundaneUtility: In an optional scene, the CPU Candidates encounter Neptune in HDD form and assume trouble is afoot. Neptune then says that she transformed just to meet the height requirement of an amusement ride. Nepgear and Uni lampshade it. Even funnier, due to Purple Heart being a LadyOfWar, she doesn't share the same excitement as her human personality does, which makes the ride less enjoyable for her.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Says as much in one of her character info page quotes.
--> "Nepgear ain't never going to marry! I'm banning the idea forever!"
* JackOfAllStats: As Neptune in ''mk2''.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: While she definitely has her moments in the other games, this one is particularly jarring because she completely drops her joker act and actually calls Nepgear by her full name during the Conquest ending; understandable since she is trying to convince Nepgear to [[spoiler:kill her]].
-->'''Neptune:''' It's time to grow up, Nepgear!
* PaperFanOfDoom: Her DLC weapon is this.
* PurpleIsPowerful
* ShipTease: Many of the official art has her doing this with Noire.
* SplitPersonality: Neptune is a GenkiGirl, while her alter ego Purple Heart seems to be more of a LadyOfWar.
* TotallyRadical: She tends to use some 80's/90's slang such as "bad dude", her death cry of "I'm... outies...", and even "totally rad" at one point. She also has a tinge of [[ValleyGirl Valley Girl]] in her voice. Keep in mind that [[JustifiedTrope she is supposed to represent]] Creator/{{SEGA}}, [[JustifiedTrope who were all about being]] TotallyRadical in the 90's.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Not her but her "[[SlapOnTheWristNuke CPU Neptune]]" skill from the first game.

!!Victory:

!!VII:

!!Re;Birth 1:
* {{BFS}}: Her rapiers become one in HDD.
* BloodKnight: Not as Noire, but Black Heart seems to enjoy showing her moves a lot. Not only that, Black Heart is shown to have the most fun when fighting in comparison to the other three [=CPUs=], and she is the only one of the four who is laughing during battles. And she does that a lot.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Noire" means "black" in French.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: To hide her identity, she claims that she's cosplaying herself.
* CrutchCharacter: To an extent when she joins in Chapter 2. While the lack of a transformation stops her from adding too much firepower to the party, she comes with a level 2 EX finisher, some nice SP moves, a weapon with wide range and the fourth party member allows experimenting with partner setups.
* {{Expy}}: Somehow, Noire really resembles Azusa from ''Manga/KOn''. Ironic, considering that Azusa's English voice actress voices Nepgear.
** Both Noire and Azusa resemble Kooh from ''Pangya''.
* ForHalloweenIAmGoingAsMyself: When Chian recognizes her as her goddess, Noire tells her that she is cosplaying herself, so she can keep her cover. Then, Noire tries ClarkKenting after that. Ganache and Singe can tell that she is not cosplaying.
* GirlishPigtails: Which helps make the {{Expy}} and {{Tsundere}} examples more prominent.
** Funny enough, while only the Ultradimension version of Black Heart from ''Victory'' keeps them in her goddess form, the Black Heart from this game has almost the exact same sprite as the one from ''Victory'', only with the lack of the pigtails. Her Ultradimension counterpart's processor units can be unlocked for her use, and using any of them will have her keep the pigtails in her goddess form.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Noire has a [[RoyalRapier regal]] twist on this trope.
* {{Irony}}: After the Black Heart boss battle, Black Heart states that Neptune only won because it was a 3-on-1 as Purple Heart was backed by IF and Compa, before saying that 1-on-1, it would be a whole 'nother story. When the 4 [=CPUs=] were battling in the intro, Purple Heart was dominating the fight and it took Black Heart teaming up with Green Heart and White Heart in a 3-on-1 EnemyMine against Purple Heart to get her out of the picture.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckLine: Noire's dress. It does not malfunction. Probably because it's similar to a corsette.
* JackOfAllStats: The most balanced character in the game, being neither strong nor weak at anything. This makes her the perfect allrounder, since she can endure more than Neptune (especially against magic attacks) and Vert, while she can still deal a good amount of damage. Although her LUK is pretty lackluster.
** However, after you reached the highest level cap, Noire eventually beats Neptune in the STR department, but is much slower to her and Vert in comparison. This still doesn't make her a MightyGlacier, as Noire's AGI is still in the middle ground.
* TheLancer: To the slacky, air-headed and energetic Neptune; Noire is more serious, level-headed and competent as a CPU. Also, Noire has problems with befriending people unlike Neptune.
* LargeHam: She tends to be loud and voice her displeasure frequently, especially in the English dub.
* LonersAreFreaks:
** Neptune constantly jokes that she has no friends. Noire panics any time she hears that, and tries to claim that she totally has friends to hang out with.
** When the three other goddesses visit Lastation, Neptune introduces Noire by commenting that she has no friends. While IF reminds the group that Neptune is the only one saying that, the other goddesses comment that it wouldn't be surprising if it were true given Noire's personality.
** Amusingly, in gameplay terms, Noire is the only goddess to not have any friendly relationship with ''any'' of the other goddesses in terms of Lily Rank. At least Vert and Blanc start off neutral and barely favorable to Neptune, respectively.
* NiceGirl: Tsundere personality aside, she's quick to help anyone in danger and is one of the most selfless members of the cast. She spends the most time making sure her nation is well off before eventually joining the party.
* OnlySaneWoman: She and IF share this role; in fact, they hit it off quickly because of this.
* {{Otaku}}: Implied to be one.
* PutOnABus: After her chapter is finished, she leaves the group for a long time. Though the in-game explanation is that she has to take care of the issues plaguing Lastation, the other two goddesses join your group and oddly enough stick with you [[FridgeLogic despite having just as big of a problem to take care of in their lands]]. Then you remember [[FridgeBrilliance Noire doesn't really have a trustworthy subordinate to take care of matters]], unlike Vert who has Yvoire and Ran-Ran, and Blanc who has Financier. Consider, also, that Avenir actually put their people in the Basillicom, and they're the problem Noire's trying to solve.
* ShipTease: Unlike the first game (and subsequent ones before ''[=Re;Birth1=]''), where Noire's ship tease with Neptune is done through supplementary materials, the sexual tension between them in the remake is far more obvious.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Which is why Avenir had to fill her basilicom with [[ObstructiveBureaucrat Obstructive Bureaucrats]] to stop her interfering.
* RoyalRapier: Her standard weapon, and her fighting style seems to revolve around fencing.
* SoLongAndThanksForAllTheGear: When Noire joins the party in chapter 2, she will leave at the end...taking any items you equipped along with her. Thankfully, she rejoins the group later on, and [[DevelopersForesight thanks to thoughtful item distribution]] she can only be equipped with one item that cannot be replaced.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Just like Neptune, Noire loves pudding. It gets to the point where Neptune and Noire have a contest where the prize is pudding.
* {{Tsundere}}: To a ridiculous extent towards Neptune. The in-game character profile even calls her a "stereotypical Tsundere".
* WakeUpCallBoss: Black Heart in Chapter 2. It doesn't help that you fight her immediately after another boss with no chance to heal or save. She is actually pretty standard for a boss, and players who know what they are doing can beat her a few levels under par.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: Has an opportunity to finish off an amnesiac Neptune, and even considers it for a moment. She discards the idea quickly as such a thing is beneath her. [[GameplayAndStorySegregation While she is sincere in having a "friendly" challenge against Neptune rather than wanting to outright kill her, if the player loses it is still a game over.]]
* WillfullyWeak: While pretending to be an amnesiac, Noire refuses to use her [=HDD=] form.
* TheWorkaholic: Compared to the other goddesses, anyway. Unlike her previous incarnations, it's not like Noire likes the work itself, she's just dedicated and proactive in running her country.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Her name is Black Heart, she has white hair, but this trope is averted.

!!mk2:
* CatchPhrase: Usually a variation of "Only does everything", a reference to how the [=PS3=] was advertised.
* ContraltoOfDanger: Her voice in HDD very noticeably drops a few octaves. More noticable in [[Creator/ErinFitzgerald the English dub]].
* {{Expy}}:
** Somehow, Noire really resembles Azusa from ''Manga/KOn''. It's mildly implied that the resemblance was what inspired her to learn how to play a guitar.
** Both Noire and Azusa resemble Kooh from ''VideoGame/{{Pangya}}''.
* GirlishPigtails: Part of her tsundere design.
* GlassCannon: As Black Heart with the default Processor setup.
* LightningBruiser: As Noire.
* MeaningfulName: "Noire" means "black" in French.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Like Neptune, she says as much in her character info page.
* RoyalRapier: Noire's WeaponOfChoice.
* ShipTease: Many of the official art has her doing this with Neptune.
* {{Tsundere}}: All the way, especially towards Neptune.

!!Re;Birth 1:
* ACupAngst: BerserkButton is someone pointing out her flat chest or jiggling a larger chest in front of her. At one point she transforms into White Heart to try to cut Vert's breasts off after one too many jiggles. Can actually double as a reference to how Nintendo is frequently derided as kiddie trash, while the Playstation and Xbox counterparts are more heavily stacked (''especially'' the Xbox) since they're the more "cool and mature" consoles.
* AintTooProudToBeg: Outright begs Neptune and the others to help save Lowee. Keep in mind, this includes two Goddesses she had been at war with for centuries. Although she refused their help at first.
* AnAxeToGrind: The hammer turns into an axe when she becomes White Heart.
* BadassBookworm: She references reading a lot, and has even written some embarrassing novels in her spare time.
* BadButt: In the beginning of the game; mercifully, Blanc never refrains from using her very colourful vocabulary afterwards.
* TheBigGirl: Among the four goddesses, she is the StoneWall, wields a hammer/axe and is the most aggressive one. Sometimes, she also suggests destructions as the resolution of problems.
* BloodKnight: While her White Heart form plays this straight, it's averted (by statement of admission) as Blanc, who claims to prefer negotiation to fighting.
* ClusterFBomb: She can be prone to these from time to time. [[spoiler:She hilariously wins the Q&A contest between her and fake Blanc precisely because of this. She also gets mad at Financier for asking embarrassing questions about her novel writing, which fake Blanc revealed to them earlier.]]
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Blanc" means "white".
* DeathGlare: Is prone of giving them on other characters.
* DropTheHammer: Blanc's main weapon is a hammer.
* {{Expy}}: HairTriggerTemper, ClusterFBomb, GratuitousGerman, DropTheHammer, GlacierWaif, MadeOfIron? Blanc is pretty much a white [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAs Vita]].
* GlacierWaif: A petit body? Check. Rather slow? Check! Wielding an oversized weapon? Check!
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Her eyes glow red when she's really angry.
* GratuitousGerman: Her attacks are in bad German.
* HairTriggerTemper: To say Blanc has a really short fuse is an understatement.
* {{Irony}}: Despite her petite body build, she is much more durable and slower than the other goddesses, especially in contrast to the two busty women [[FragileSpeedster Vert/Green Heart]] and [[GlassCannon Yellow Heart]].
** Despite being an {{Expy}} for the family-friendly Nintendo, her White Heart form is surprisingly foul-mouthed.
* LaResistance: [[spoiler:Leads one to regain her nation from Conversation/Arfoire]].
* NotSoStoic: Most of the time, Blanc appears to be calm, serious and emotionless on the outside, but she gets angry very easily and often ''explodes'' out of rage.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: When she and Vert are trying to seduce the Lastation Basillicom Staff Member, Blanc uses it the "cute little sister" routine, calling him "Onii-chan". Of course, Vert mocks her later for her unexpected performance, with Blanc claiming that she read in a book that some men like that kind of girls.
* RedEyesTakeWarning:
** When Blanc is pissed of, one of her eyes glows red.
** White Heart has red eyes, and they glow as well when she's pissed of.
* SilkHidingSteel: She does her best to appear proper and ladylike, but her White Heart form is violent, foul-mouthed and tomboyish, and even in her civilian form she has a noticable temper.
* StoneWall: Her offense is only decent, but thanks to her high HP, VIT and MEN stats and her Physical Resist + and Magic Resist + skills, she can take a serious beating, moreso than most other physical attackers. [[FridgeBrilliance Which is rather appropiate for the character representing]] [[MadeOfIndestructium the infamously durable Nintendo consoles.]] But she is also the slowest character.
* TookALevelInKindness: Taking a cue from ''Victory'', the Blanc of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' is much kinder than the Blanc originally featured in the first game (where she spent most of the Lowee segment pursuing Neptune and co., hellbent on killing them), and genuinely cares for her citizens and seems to have a particular soft spot for Financier. Even in her White Heart form, she sincerely thanks [[spoiler:MAGES.]] for saving them in their fight with Ganache. The fact that she is more social than Noire says a lot.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Mild case of this with Vert, 50% because of Blanc's ACupAngst and 50% because of Vert being TheTease about it.

!!mk2:
* ACupAngst: Her BerserkButton is someone pointing out her flat chest.
* BadassBookworm: She loves reading books so much, she spends most of her free time reading them or writing books than playing with her sisters. And she is a strong CPU, no less.
%%* BloodKnight
* DropTheHammer: Blanc's main weapon is a hammer.
** AnAxeToGrind: The hammer turns into an axe when she becomes White Heart.
* {{Expy}}: Blanc is pretty much a white [[Franchise/LyricalNanoha Vita]]. Which is now extremely hilarious now that the UsefulNotes/PlayStationVita is coming out.
* {{Fangirl}}: Surprisingly, towards Falcom. She even asks for her autograph.
* GoOutWithASmile: [[spoiler:During the Conquest Ending. After getting run through with the demon sword, she smiles and comments on how it hurts less than she expected, before breathing her last.]]
* HairTriggerTemper: Don't her calm exterior fool you, she gets angry quite easily.
* LadySwearsALot: Like the first game, she's undoubtedly this, though this incarnation of her downplays it in her human form quite a bit.
* LetsGetDangerous: Once you get Lowee's shares to 50% and go into the city, she immediately greets Nepgear by saying she'll get serious.
* MeaningfulName: "Blanc" means "white".
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Like Neptune, she says as much in her character info page.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Whenever Blanc is angry one of her eyes will glow while half of her face is shadowed. Same as White Heart, who even has red eyes naturally.
* SeeYouInHell: In the side event mentioned in DecidedByOneVote, Blanc says that she will follow Underling to hell for the vote that will make her the most popular of all the [=CPUs=].
* StoneWall: Blanc has the highest VIT and MEN, the lowest AGI, decent STR and rather low INT.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: How she sometimes act towards her sisters and Nepgear.

* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:Sorta. Despite the trouble she caused througout the Hyperdimension G arc, Nepgear and the other Candidates save her from Arfoire, even before learning that she was a FakeDefector.]]
Thus, her legitimate accidents set of the events of the game.]]
Fortunately for her, Uzume and the CPU candidates arrive just in time to save her.]]

* AmnesiacGod: After she falls from Celestia, she’s left completely unaware of her identity as Purple Heart.
* BigEater: She loves to eat.
* BoyishShortHair: She has short hair as Neptune, as is rather tomboyish.
* BraidsOfAction: As Purple Heart.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: It is shown throughout the game that her train of thought is not a sturdy one.
* {{Crunchtastic}}: She sometimes uses this, as seen with this line addressed to White Heart:
-->'''Neptune:''' Seriously, what's up with you? You were super mad, and now you're all smirkalicious.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: Eggplants. As she claims they're "not human food".
* GenkiGirl: In her normal form.
* GirlyRun: She runs like this in her normal form.
* HeroicSafeMode: Neptune suffers from this after her attempt to get the other goddesses to help her fight Arfoire.
* InTheNameOfTheMoon: One of Neptune's battle quotes involves this.
* KonamiCode: Can occasionally be heard reciting part of this while using her first LimitBreak, only to stop and decide that [[CheatersNeverProsper she has no use for codes anyway]].
* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: After she falls from Celestia.
* MeaningfulName [=/=] PunnyName: Just about the only name more appropriate for the anthropomorphic representation of Creator/{{Sega}} would be "Saturn", their ill-fated 5th generation console.
* {{Moe}}: [[invoked]] Called such by IF in one of the cutscenes.
* JackOfAllStats: As Neptune.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: [[http://www.justin.tv/evolutionxrev/b/268767788 Apparently, Neptune doesn't mind hugging someone from the back.]]
* PurpleIsPowerful: She’s got purple hair and purple eyes and she’s quite strong in both of her forms.
* ShipTease: Many of the official art has her doing this with Noire.
* SlapOnTheWristNuke: The CPU Neptune attack has her transform into a spaceship, fly out into space, and then has the scene zoom out to show the entire landmass you're currently on before firing off a WaveMotionGun, destroying the entire thing. However there's a disclaimer down on the bottom of the screen:
--> [[LampshadeHanging *This isn't actually happening.]]
* SplitPersonality: Neptune is a GenkiGirl, while her alter ego Purple Heart seems to be more of a LadyOfWar.
* SwordAndGun: Neptune seems to keep a sword and a gun on her, but we never see [[HyperspaceArsenal where she gets the gun]]. Her appearances in later games write out her handgun proficiency.
* TotallyRadical: She tends to use some 80s/90s slang such as "bad dude", her death cry of "I'm... outies...", and even "totally rad" at one point. She also has a tinge of ValleyGirl in her voice. [[FridgeBrilliance Keep in mind that]] [[JustifiedTrope she is supposed to represent]] Creator/{{SEGA}}, who were all about being TotallyRadical in the 90s.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Custard pudding.

* CatchPhrase: Usually a variation of "Only does everything". A reference to how the [=PS3=] was advertised.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: In one cutscene, Noire is implied to be one.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Her main colour is black, and in spite her arrogance, she's one of the main heroines.
* {{Expy}}:
** Somehow, Noire really resembles Azusa from ''Manga/KOn''. It's mildly implied that the resemblance was what inspired her to learn how to play a guitar.
*** In the anime, Noire can be seen cosplaying as Azusa in a rapid-fire montage.
** Both Noire and Azusa resemble Kooh from ''VideoGame/{{Pangya}}''.
* FakingAmnesia: She does this when she encounters Neptune as Noire, not wanting to reveal her identity.
* GirlishPigtails: A long, twin-tail-ish, pair held by black and blue ribbons.
* GlassCannon: As Black Heart with the default Processor setup.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Her [[FatalFlaw fatal flaw]].
* LettingHerHairDown: The first thing she does before transforming.
* LightningBruiser: As Noire.
* MeaningfulName: "Noire" means "black" in French.
* {{Otaku}}: Noire is implied to be one.
* PowerDyesYourHair: Her hair turns white as Black Heart.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Her hair looks more brown, but she still fits this.
* RevolversAreJustBetter: Her pistol of choice.
* RoyalRapier: Fights with a fencer stance with her rapiers and one-handed longswords.

* ACupAngst: BerserkButton is someone pointing out her flat chest. Can actually double as a reference to how Nintendo is frequently derided as kiddie trash, while the Playstation and [=XBox=] counterparts are more heavily stacked (''especially'' the [=XBox=]) since they're the more "cool and mature" consoles.
* AnAxeToGrind: The hammer turns into an axe when she becomes White Heart.
* BadassBookworm: She likes to read and she’s quite powerful in both forms.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: While she's quiet and bookish as Blanc, the same can't be said for White Heart.
* BloodKnight: This is her personality as White Heart.
* ButchLesbian: Neptune calls Blanc this in her recruitment scene.
* CrackPairing: Neptune [[InvokedTrope suggests]] that maybe Blanc has a thing for Compa, just because Blanc was complaining that Neptune doesn't get upset over being insulted like Compa would.
* DropTheHammer: Blanc's main weapon is a hammer.
* {{Expy}}:
** Blanc is pretty much a white [[Franchise/LyricalNanoha Vita]]. [[FollowTheLeader Which is now]] [[HilariousInHindsight extremely hilarious]] now that the UsefulNotes/PlaystationVita is out.
* HairTriggerTemper: Don't her calm exterior fool you, she gets angry quite easily.
* IdiotHair: Has one as White Heart, though she isn't stupid to the least.
* MightyGlacier: Of the four Goddesses, Blanc has the highest defense stat. This is a reference to how the Nintendo consoles tend to be MadeOfIndestructium.
* SirSwearsALot: At first, she looks calm and collected… But it won't be even ten minutes into the game that you will find out that she doesn't shy away from spewing swearwords like an angry high school student… especially when angry! Possibly a reference to the fact that, while the Wii is considered a kid's console, it also has ''VideoGame/TheHouseOfTheDeadOverkill'' in its library, a game which made the Guinness book of world records for its sheer absurd vulgarity.
* MeaningfulName: "Blanc" means "white" in French.
* MostFanficWritersAreGirls: Her hobby is writing light novels, and one of her aspirations in life is to get the Gamindustri Amateur Writer's Prize.
* PowerDyesYourHair: As White heart, her hair turns light blue.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her eyes turn red as White Heart, who is… A force to be reckoned with.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: She’s mostly either calm or pissed off but she has a soft side.
