Sometimes it's hard to see because of her carefree approach to life and difficult personality, but Neptune keeps reminding you she's the protagonist for a reason.

* BigSisterInstinct: Despite all the crap she gives Nepgear she will quickly jump to her defense if anyone else, aside from Plutia, does anything to her intentionally or not. When Rei ends up [[CatapultNightmare headbutting Nepgear waking up from a nightmare]] she snaps at her for it.

When the 4 [=CPUs=] were battling in the intro, Purple Heart was dominating the fight and it took Black Heart teaming up with Green Heart and White Heart in a 3-on-1 EnemyMine against Purple Heart to get her out of the picture.

* TheLancer: To the slacky, air-headed and energetic Neptune; Noire is more serious, level-headed and competent as a CPU. Also, Noire has problems with befriending people unlike Neptune.
* LargeHam: She tends to be loud and voice her displeasure frequently, especially in the English dub.
* OnlySaneWoman: She and IF share this role; in fact, they hit it off quickly because of this.

* PutOnABus: After her chapter is finished, she leaves the group for a long time. Though the in-game explanation is that she has to take care of the issues plaguing Lastation, the other two goddesses join your group and oddly enough stick with you [[FridgeLogic despite having just as big of a problem to take care of in their lands]]. Then you remember [[FridgeBrilliance Noire doesn't really have a trustworthy subordinate to take care of matters]], unlike Vert who has Yvoire and Ran-Ran, and Blanc who has Financier. Consider, also, that Avenir actually put their people in the Basillicom, and they're the problem Noire's trying to solve.

A grown-up version of Neptune that Nepgear and Uzume encounter in the Zerodimension. Much like the original Neptune, she has a a bright and positive personality. Her hobby is taking samples and unusual insects and she has traveled through a lot of dimensions with the "Nep Note" in her hand. Despite being called "adult" Neptune, it's unclear if she's actually an adult or still a minor.

She is actually the Ultradimension version of Neptune from TheStinger that followed the True End of ''Victory''. She stumbled upon the Heartdimension during her travels and was asked by Kurome to retrieve her console from the depths of the Planeptune Basilicom in the Hyperdimension. She does so, but couldn't resist turning it on, which caused her to get shunted to the Zerodimension, caused Neptune to pick up said console when she dropped it, which then led to her and Nepgear getting dragged into the Zerodimension as well.
