Also, regardless of him being a prodigy, Rudeus is still a kid yet Paul was already expecting him to be more capable than him, an adult. In the end, Paul was just taking his own frustrations out on Rudeus. It's not until Geese gives Paul a lecture about how getting dropped into the Demon Continent isn't a walk in the park that Paul starts to get why it was so hard for Rudeus to stop and think there might be other people in trouble because of the teleportation.
