->''"Steal from everyone."''
-->--'''Ravager code'''

A collection of pirates, mercenaries, and outlaws, divided into one hundred different clans.
----
* AntiHero: They're not the nicest of groups, but if push comes to shove, they'll do the right thing, like defend Xandar from Ronan or [[spoiler:pick a fight with Thanos in the name of saving the whole universe]].
* BadassArmy: They don't show it often - the product of being on the wrong side of the heroes for a grand majority of the Guardians' movies - but they're more than capable of holding their own against the armies fielded by the likes of Ronan and [[spoiler:Thanos]].
* BloodKnight: They ''love'' a good fight and aren't afraid to show it, which the heroes exploit to get them to go into the fray against Ronan.
** And again in ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', where they [[spoiler:join forces with the Avengers and practically every other armed force in existence for the sole purpose of taking down Thanos]].
* TheCavalry: [[spoiler:They are among the many armies who answer the call to arms to fight Thanos at the end of ''Avengers: Endgame''.]]
* CanonForeigner:
** They might be based on the Reavers of Arcturus, but there's no band of space pirates called "Ravagers" in mainstream Marvel comics continuity. The popularity of their film debut, however, made them into {{Canon Immigrant}}s.
** Averted with Stark Ogord's clan, which is based on the original Guardians of the Galaxy team from the comics.
* TheClan: Divided into one hundred different clans which mostly operate separately, but come together for big events, like the Battle of Xandar, Yondu's funeral, and [[spoiler:the final showdown with Thanos]].
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: From what we see in ''Vol. 2'', each Ravager clan uses a unique color for their jackets.
** Yondu's clan: Crimson
** Stakar's clan: Navy blue
** Aleta's clan: Dark green
** Charlie-27's clan: Mustard yellow
* EvenEvilHasStandards: The Ravagers are violent mercenaries who are unafraid to commit crimes, but they have rules that govern them. A major one is that [[WouldntHurtAChild "Ravagers don't deal in kids"]]. Yondu got exiled for breaking this.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Besides the fact that they don't "deal in kids", the concept of Ronan wiping out an entire planet with the Power Stone is enough to get them to take a stand for Xandar, whose government they're likely not on good terms with, what with them being lawless space pirates and all that.
* HairTriggerTemper: It takes ''very'' little for them to pull out their guns and start shooting everyone in sight. Only firm leadership - and weapons more powerful than their own - keeps them in line on any given day.
* LetsGetDangerous: While they're quite content to do their own thing and generally get kicked around by the heroes if they happen to be on opposite sides, if push comes to shove, the Ravagers become a force to be reckoned with, as evidenced with their decision to stand against Ronan at Xandar and [[spoiler:taking up arms against Thanos and his armies during the final battle with the Mad Titan on Earth]].
* LovableRogue: What the overall clans can come off as whenever they show their more noble (is still extremely rough) side. Yondu’s clan assisting in the defense of Zandar and the other clans coming to honor his funeral after his RedemptionEqualsDeath sacrifice both showcase this. [[spoiler:Joining TheAlliance against Thanos during the Battle for Earth epitomizes this.]]
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Downplayed and subverted. They're a bunch of pirates and brutal criminals, but they follow a strict code. While some of them really are as bad as they seem, the majority of them will hardly hesitate to defend civilians against a force crueler than themselves.
* SpacePirates: We learn more about the code and organization of the Ravagers, which are divided into a hundred factions with a unifying code. Yondu is an outcast for "dealing in kids," referring to how he agreed to traffic Peter back to his father.
* WouldntHurtAChild: A code among the Ravagers is they [[EvenEvilHasStandards do not engage in child trafficking]]. Yondu is a pariah among them for breaking this code by taking children to Ego. They also refuse to kill Baby Groot, citing that he is far too cute.

A member of the Ravagers, loyal to Yondu.
----
* BeardOfEvil: Horuz is one of the nastier Ravagers, and has a scruffy beard.
* CharacterDeath: He's killed in the dogfight with Ronan's forces.
* HeroicSacrifice: Horuz was one of the Ravagers who responded to Rocket's call to protect the civilians from kamikaze attacks alongside Kraglin. In spite of his general crudeness, he does die defending innocent people.
* HumanAliens: He's presumably not human, but there's not much to differentiate him.

* ThrownOutTheAirlock: He is shown about to be ejected after Tullk while begging for Yondu's help.
* UndyingLoyalty: Oblo is one of Yondu's crew members who is still loyal to him. This unfortunately leads to his death.

!Taserface's Ravager Clan

[[folder:In General]]
!!''Taserface's Ravager Clan''
!!!'''Appearances:''' ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2''

A new Ravager clan formed by some of Yondu's men who mutinied against him.
----
* GoldfishPoopGang: They are really only a threat to ''one'' part of the Guardians (Rocket, Groot, and Yondu), and even then they're constantly mocked and made fun of by Rocket and Yondu and easily taken care of just by Rocket and his traps. While they do manage to stage a successful mutiny, once Rocket and Yondu escape prison they proceed to do a PowerWalk through the ship killing literally everyone before blowing the ship up. Not even their leader, [[AtrociousAlias Taserface, gets any respect]].
* RememberTheNewGuy: Despite the fact that they apparently followed Yondu for some time, none of them were seen during the first movie.
* StupidCrooks: Yondu clearly has more brains than every member of his crew combined. Their attempts to catch Rocket result in the slapstick equivalent of a MookHorrorShow until Yondu actually nabs him; then they argue about whether to turn him in for a million credits or sell the batteries he has (worth a quarter of a million), one of them claiming the latter is only a third of the former, another thinking a quarter is the equivalent of 25 units. This turns into TooDumbToLive later, when their reaction to him getting his weapon back (the one he used to defeat an army by himself in the first film) is to charge at him en masse. They fare no better than the army did.

-->'''Rocket:''' So you shoot tasers out of your face?
-->'''Taserface:''' It's metaphorical!

A Ravager who leads a mutiny against Yondu when Yondu refuses to target the Guardians for the Sovereign.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: In the comics, Taserface was cybernetically upgraded with a variety of Stark tech. Other than initially surviving an explosion up close, he has no such enhancements.
* AssholeVictim: Being immolated to death while you spend your last moments with someone laughing at you isn't a nice way to go, though considering Taserface was a cruel individual who executed Yondu's loyalists by throwing them out of the airlock and wanted to sell him and Rocket to slavery, not only is his fate very deserving but ''hilarious''. Even better? His last request was to have Ayesha tell the Guardians that he was the one who brought their doom, but when she actually confronts them, she doesn't even bother passing the message along.
* AtrociousAlias: Rocket's opinion on the name ("I'm imagining yourself in front of the mirror all serious 'You know what would be a really kickass name? Taserface'!"), [[ActuallyPrettyFunny making all the other Ravagers laugh]]. And worse, ''[[NotSoAboveItAll even the Sovereigns]]'' also find it ridiculous.
* BeardOfEvil: Combined with mohawk hair.
* BerserkButton: Do not make fun of his name. Rocket learned this the hard way when he couldn't help but laugh at Taserface's name angering the bearded baddie to the point of changing his mind about eliminating Yondu first.
* BigBadWannabe: Taserface believes that Yondu's going too soft and leads a mutiny, but only succeeds with help from Nebula who has no problems overriding his order. Even after the mutiny Rocket can't take him seriously, and after Yondu gets his weapon back, he and the rest of the traitors are dispatched in a truly devastating Curb-Stomp Battle. Even his dying wish gets laughed upon by the Sovereign, who also can't take his name seriously.
* ButtMonkey: Mostly regarding the name. But given his contempt for Yondu, his bad luck is justified.
* DarkAgeOfSupernames: His name definitely invokes this, especially considering the comic-book version debuted in the 1990 series featuring the classic team. Unfortunately, it's also way too ridiculous to take seriously.
* DirtyCoward: He complains that Yondu's failing them as a leader but clams up when Kraglin calls him out on talking about Yondu behind his back. He only incites the mutiny when other parties act (Kraglin voicing his belief that Yondu values Quill over the others and Nebula incapacitating Yondu).
* DumbMuscle: In James Gunn's words, he's [[http://comicbook.com/2016/07/24/james-gunn-reveals-why-taserface-is-in-guardians-of-the-galaxy-v "the dumbest character of all time".]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: When asked if they should dispose of the captured baby Groot, Taserface is aghast at the notion and points out that he's far too adorable to kill. He tells them to suit him up and make them their (unwilling) mascot.
* EvilIsHammy: Every single time he speaks, he bombastically pronounces his words while plotting out evil on our main heroic forces.
* HairTriggerTemper: And a nasty one at that too.
* HiredGuns: He positions himself as this to Ayesha for the big payoff It'll bring.
* KickTheDog: Dumping anybody loyal to Yondu into space shows him to be more ruthless than the standard Ravager.
* KillItWithFire: How Yondu dispatches him before the rest of the ship explodes.
* LargeAndInCharge: Once he takes over the Ravagers in a mutiny.
* MadeOfIron: He survives getting scorched in an explosion. He suffers severe burns from the blast, but otherwise, he regards the fire as an annoyance and is able to walk just fine.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Attempts to invoke this ("The fear it causes my enemies!"), but everyone else just makes fun of his name.
* NonindicativeName: He doesn't actually have Tasers in his face. He doesn't even have Tasers like his comics counterpart, who eventually switched to the much less ridiculous name (But still over-the-top edgy)"Overkill".
* NotSoAboveItAll: Even he agrees that Baby Groot is adorable.
* OhCrap: His reaction when he realized that Yondu intended to blow the ''Eclector'' up.
* PyrrhicVictory: Even though he dies and his last request is glossed over, Taserface ultimately contributed to Yondu's death by leading the Sovereign to Ego's planet, which made the final battle even more difficult than it needed to be and led to Yondu being forced to pull a HeroicSacrifice to save Peter after the ship they piloted was destroyed. Had Yondu simply killed him with his arrow, Taserface wouldn't have warned the Sovereign and the Guardians could have quickly destroyed Ego's brain without leaving anyone behind.
* RubberForeheadAliens: He is obviously a human actor wearing a big, bulbous head prosthesis.
* TheStarscream: Eager to betray Yondu at the outset of ''Vol. 2'' and take over the faction.
* TooDumbToLive: He obviously knew about Yondu's spare fin given his alarmed reaction when he wakes up and alerts the Ravagers to Yondu's escape. He had ''no'' reason to keep it, and it apparently never once occurred to him to destroy it or jettison it into space.
* UndignifiedDeath: He calls the Sovereign to tell them where Guardians are and request that when they kill Yondu, they tell him that it was Taserface who sealed their fate. He gets laughed at for his trouble and can do nothing but groan wearily before the ship's explosion takes him.
* UnfitForGreatness: Taserface is ambitious enough to want to see Yondu ousted as leader and take his place. He's even big and mean enough most won't challenge him. However once he's in power the worst of the Ravagers don't really respect him, he's not very bright and his authority is constantly undermined. To add insult to injury, his brief leadership ends with his crew dead, and he himself being incinerated whilst someone laughs at his name.

!Stakar's Team

[[folder:In General]]
!!''Stakar's Team''
!!!'''Appearances:''' ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2''

A team composed of several of the most important Ravager captains that disbanded in the past.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: Rather than a team of superheroes like in the comics, they are a bunch of SpacePirates whose idea of a good time is to "steal some shit", though they do have a moral code.
* AdaptationalDiversity: In the comics, Stakar, Aleta and Charlie-27 all look Caucasian. In the MCU however, only Stakar is played by a Caucasian actor, while Aleta is played by an Asian actress and Charlie-27 by an African-American actor. In addition, Mainframe becomes a female.
* AdaptationNameChange: Despite the fact that this team is an obvious adaptation of the original "Guardian of the Galaxy", they don't use this name, since it's already used by another team and was only recently invented by Ronan.
* AdaptedOut: Several members of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team are absent, the most conspicuous probably being Major Victory, who was the leader and founder of the team in the comics.
* AgeLift: Most of them look much older than their comics counterparts. In addition, their comic was originally set in the 31st century, so technically they're about a thousand years older than they should be.
* DueToTheDead: After being told about Yondu's HeroicSacrifice, they all come to give him a proper Ravager funeral.
* FamilyOfChoice: Yondu outright calls this team "the only family he ever had".
* FiveTokenBand: The team consists of a white man (Stakar), an Asian woman (Aleta), a black man (Charlie-27), a crystal-bodied alien (Martinex), a reptilian-looking alien (Krugarr), and a female robot (Mainframe).
* JumpedAtTheCall: When Stakar brings them together after Yondu's death and proposes to reform their old team, they all enthusiastically agree to follow him on a new adventure together.
* MovieSuperheroesWearBlack: With the exception of Charlie-27 (as well as Krugarr and Mainframe, who don't wear clothes at all), the other members wear mostly dark uniforms, as opposed to the colorful costumes they have in the comics.
* PrecursorHeroes: Well, Precursor Anti-Heroes in their case, but they are clearly meant to be this to the Guardians of the Galaxy, being a similar RagtagBunchOfMisfits that lived all kinds of adventures in space long before they did. Yondu even compares the two teams at one point.
* PuttingTheBandBackTogether: Following the death of Yondu, Stakar Ogord's team reunites for his funeral and decides to reform to start going on adventures again.
* RetiredBadassRoundup: They are all senior Ravager captains who used to have adventures together when they were younger but ended up going their separate ways. After the death of Yondu, they get together and decide to do OneLastJob in his memory.
* RuleOfSeven: Counting Yondu, the team is composed of a total of seven members.
* SimilarSquad: To the Guardians of the Galaxy, obviously, with each member of the team being similar to one of them:
** Like Peter Quill, Stakar is TheLeader of the team and [[WhiteMaleLead looks like a white man]] despite his alien origins.
** Like Gamora, Aleta is a dangerous woman and the LoveInterest of the leader.
** Like Rocket, Martinex more-or-less serves as the second to the team leader.
** Like Groot, Krugarr is a weird-looking alien with a limited vocabulary.
** Like Drax, Charlie-27 is a huge guy covered in muscle who is nicer than he looks.
** Like Mantis, Mainframe is a sweet and friendly girl.
** And of course, both teams have had Yondu as a member.
* TrueCompanions: It's pretty clear that they are just as close to each other as the Guardians of the Galaxy are.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: If we include robots with female voices, then the team has two women among its members: Aleta Ogord and Mainframe.

[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mcu_stakar.png]]

!!!'''Species:''' Arcturan
!!!'''Portrayed By:''' Creator/SylvesterStallone
!!!'''Voiced By:''' Eduardo Liñán (Latin-American Spanish dub), Juan Carlos Gustems (European Spanish dub)
!!!'''Appearances:''' ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'' | ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3''

A high-ranking Ravager who has a paternal dynamic with Yondu, who hasn't seen him in twenty years since he banished him. Their paths cross during the film.
----
* ActorAllusion: One of Stakar's first lines is yelling at Yondu about how he "betrayed the code", which is very reminiscent of a famous line from a previous character played by Creator/SylvesterStallone's in [[Film/JudgeDredd another comic book movie adaptation]].
* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: Starhawk in the comics was raised by space pirates and was specifically noted not to have any interest in piratical activities, being something of a disappointment to his adoptive father. This Starhawk doesn't seem to have any compunctions about his job, though he definitely has lines he won't cross.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Also like Yondu, this Stakar is a space pirate, not a superhero. You can extend that to his whole team, too.
* AdaptationalWimp: In the comics, Stakar has immense powers, which include flying, creating blasts of photonic energy, as well as having superhuman strength and durability. His MCU counterpart doesn't display any of that, and seems to rely on a big gun instead.
* AgeLift: Like Yondu, he's in his prime in the comics, but significantly older here. [[note]] Although technically in the comics Stakar was a TimeAbyss due to reliving his own life on an endless repeating loop, so if anything here he's been aged down [[/note]]
* AngryCollarGrab: He grabs Yondu by the collar of his jacket during their argument on Contraxia.
* TheCaptain: Stakar is the captain of his own Ravager faction, and appears to be one of the most influential among them.
* CelebrityParadox: In ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'', Cap's list of the last 70+ years of pop culture includes ''Film/{{Rocky}}''. Stallone, [[StarMakingRole of course]], played the title character of that movie series.
* ComicBookMoviesDontUseCodenames: He is only called "Stakar" during the film. His codename "Starhawk" from the comics is never used.
* DramaticGunCock: Does this for emphasis in TheStinger as the team agrees to join him on a new adventure.
-->'''Stakar:''' ''[Click]'' What do you say we steal some shit?
* DueToTheDead: He and the rest of his team show up at Yondu's funeral, each paying their respects both as a Ravager and as a friend.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He may a professional SpacePirate, but he won't stand for any Ravager engaging in child trafficking.
* AFatherToHisMen: He's shown to act as a father figure to his men. He seemed to have served as a ParentalSubstitute to Yondu, and he calls Martinex "Son".
* GivingSomeoneThePointerFinger: When Yondu comes to greet him on Contraxia, Stakar angrily points his finger at him before walking away from him.
* HappilyMarried: He's married to Aleta, and they get on well.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: He does have a good reason why he rudely ignores Yondu as the latter politely greets him by chance at the Iron Lotus because back then, Yondu was with him by his side until he broke the Ravager's code by trafficking children including Peter which ended up getting him expelled from the Ravagers community which Stakar was heartbroken but had to respect it, takes no pleasure from it, genuinely missed him and he attends Yondu's funeral after he's notified about his sacrifice and gives the traditional Ravagers funeral to bless Yondu's passing.
-->'''Stakar:''' If you think I take pleasure in exiling you... you're wrong. You broke all our hearts.
* HumanAliens: Stakar is virtually indistinguishable from a normal human from Earth.
* MythologyGag:
** His core team of Ravager top brass closely resembles the original iteration of the Comicbook/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy. Yondu does not appear with them, but is stated to have been part of their team.
** While his outfit is more akin to standard Ravager garb than his comic costume, it does include oddly elaborate shoulder ornaments, which are a subtle nod to his distinctive, almost identically ornamented comic headpiece.
** Starhawk being head of the Ravagers is probably a nod to the comics, where he was raised by the leader of a similar band called the ''Reavers'' (of Arcturus)
* NoTrueScotsman: He makes it clear to Yondu that he doesn't consider him to be a true Ravager anymore since he broke the code.
-->'''Yondu:''' I demand a seat on the table. I wear these flames, same as you!\\
'''Stakar:''' You may dress like us, but you'll never hear the hordes of freedom when you die Yondu, and the colors of Ogord will never flash over your grave.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Yondu tells Rocket that Stakar was the one who freed him when he was enslaved by the Kree a long time ago. Must have been something pretty amazing to see...
* OldSuperhero: Played by 70 year old Sylvester Stallone, Stakar apparently was part of a gang of superpowered space pirates in his youth and even in his older years he still leads a group of more mundane space pirates.
* SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer: Stakar didn't appear in promo materials prior to the release of ''Vol. 2'' and was only announced as being in it shortly before then, so Stallone's presence in the film likely surprised many.
* SlaveLiberation: Type 1. He rescued Yondu from life as a slave for the Kree in the past, and then made him join the Ravagers.
* SpacePirate: He's one of the high ranking members of the Ravagers, a fleet of galactic criminals whose motto is "steal from everyone."
* ThisIsUnforgivable: He considers child trafficking to be an unforgivable crime that no Ravager should ever commit. When he discovers that Yondu has kidnaped children to sell them to Ego, he exiles him from the Ravagers and makes it clear that his actions will never be forgiven.
* TokenWhite: He is the only member of his team to have the appearance of a white man.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: He and Yondu were close friends and as he confesses in the film when he meets him at the Ravager homebase, it broke his heart and that of his team-mates to banish Yondu and he took no pleasure from it. Yondu's death by HeroicSacrifice redeems him in the Ravagers' eyes.

* AdaptationalModesty: Lacks the plunging neckline her comic counterpart has.
* AdaptationalUgliness: Downplayed. While Michelle Yeoh is certainly attractive, she looks quite a bit older than the blonde bombshell from the comics, and has a somewhat messy appearance.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her name (and consequently the fact that she's Stakar's wife) is only mentioned in the credits.
* AmazonBrigade: Her Ravager Clan seems to be exclusively composed of women.

* ChekhovsGunman: In a sense. In ''Doctor Strange'', Thor asks Strange in the {{Stinger}} if "Earth has wizards now," implying sorcerers exist elsewhere.
* MagicalGesture: He summons what resemble magical emoticons using a similar type of magic as [[Film/DoctorStrange2016 the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj]].
* MundaneUtility: Magic can warp the fabric of reality. It can also be used as extremely pretty sign language.

* BadassBandolier: Like his comics counterpart, he is always seen carrying two bandoliers over both of his shoulders.

* BaldOfAwesome: He sports Creator/VingRhames's naturally bald head, and he's a SpacePirate with an impressive physique.
* TheBigGuy: Charlie-27 is by far the tallest and most muscular member of the team.
* TheCameo: Charlie-27 was one of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Here, he appears briefly as a member of the Ravagers. His appearance also serves as a cameo for the iconic Ving Rhames.
* {{Heavyworlder}}: Has a giant frame, presumably due to being genetically engineered to survive in a high-gravity world, though likely not Jupiter given the more cosmic setting.

-->--'''Ravager code'''

* CanonForeigner:

-->'''Taserface:''' It's metaphorical!

A member of the Ravagers who sided with Taserface against Yondu Udonta.
----
* BeardOfEvil: A curly chinstrap that extends about an inch around his chin.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: He wears thick goggles for some reason, and wants to smash Groot with a rock which is too evil even for Taserface.
* HumanAliens: He's presumably not human, but there's not much to differentiate him.
* KickTheDog: He's eager to smash Groot, which even Taserface balks at.
* LaughablyEvil: He's rather amusing due to his stupidity and hamminess, but he's still an evil dude.

* MythologyGag:

----
* AgeLift: As with Yondu, Starhawk, and Charlie-27, she's older than her comics counterpart.
* GiveMyRegardsInTheNextWorld / SeeYouInHell: Says something like this during Yondu's funeral.

* CelebrityParadox: The MCU is casually peppered with references to DC comics, and Michael Rosenbaum has not only [[Series/{{Smallville}} played Lex Luthor]] [[WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague but provided the voice of the Flash.]]
* CrystallineCreature: Like in the comics, he's an alien with a body entirely composed of crystal.
* DisapprovingLook: Once Stakar finishes delivering his TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to Yondu on Contraxia, he starts to leave with his men, but Martinex stays a little longer to glare at Yondu in disgust.
* ExposedExtraterrestrials: Averted. He wears a Ravager outfit.
* HumanoidAlien: Despite being composed of crystal, his body has a shape and proportions comparable to a human.

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: In the comics, Krugarr was Doctor Strange's student and eventual successor. In the MCU, the two never met each other, and Krugarr was an accomplished sorcerer long before Stephen Strange even knew that magic is real.
* NoMouth: Like in the comics, he lacks anything resembling a visible mouth. Which may be why he never talk.
* SnakePeople: His upper half is generally that of a scaled humanoid, while his lower half resembles a large red snake.
* TheSpeechless: He doesn't seem to be able to speak, so he communicates by using his magical powers to create signs.

* AgeLift: As with Yondu, Starhawk, and Aleta, he's older than his comics counterpart.
* BadassBandolier: Like his comics counterpart, he is always seen carrying two bandoliers over both of his shoulders.
* BaldBlackLeaderGuy: He is the captain of his Ravager Clan, and is played by the very bald and very black Creator/VingRhames.
* BaldOfAwesome: He sports Creator/VingRhames's naturally bald head, and he's a SpacePirate with an impressive physique.
* TheBigGuy: Charlie-27 is by far the tallest and most muscular member of the team.

* CompositeCharacter: This particular group's tendencies toward heroics makes them something of a cross between the Sacred Timeline's Ravagers and the Sacred Timeline's Guardians of the Galaxy.

* PuttingTheBandBackTogether: After Yondu's death, Stakar Ogord's team reunites for his funeral, and decide to reunite to begin going on adventures again.

They fare no better than the army did.

to:

-->'''Rocket:''' So you shoot tasers out of your face?
-->'''Taserface:''' It's metaphorical!

A new Ravager clan formed by some of Yondu's men who leads a mutiny mutinied against Yondu when Yondu refuses to target the Guardians for the Sovereign.him.

''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2''

A high-ranking team composed of several of the most important Ravager who has a paternal dynamic with Yondu, who hasn't seen him captains that disbanded in twenty years since he banished him. Their paths cross during the film.past.

* AgeLift: Like Yondu, he's in his prime in the comics, but significantly older here. [[note]] Although technically in the comics Stakar was a TimeAbyss due to reliving his own life on an endless repeating loop, so if anything here he's been aged down [[/note]]

to:

* AgeLift: Like Yondu, he's in his prime AdaptationalVillainy: Rather than a team of superheroes like in the comics, but significantly they are a bunch of SpacePirates whose idea of a good time is to "steal some shit", though they do have a moral code.
* AgeLift: Most of them look much
older here. [[note]] Although than their comics counterparts.
* MovieSuperheroesWearBlack: With the exception of Charlie-27 (as well as Krugarr and Mainframe, who don't wear clothes at all), the other members wear mostly dark uniforms, as opposed to the colorful costumes they have
in the comics comics.
* PuttingTheBandBackTogether: Following the death of Yondu,
Stakar was a TimeAbyss due to reliving Ogord's team reunites for his own life funeral and decides to reform to start going on an endless repeating loop, so if anything here he's been aged down [[/note]]adventures again.

* AFatherToHisMen: He's shown to act as a father figure to his men. He seemed to have served as a ParentalSubstitute to Yondu, and he calls Martinex "Son".
* GivingSomeoneThePointerFinger: When Yondu comes to greet him on Contraxia, Stakar angrily points his finger at him before walking away from him.

-->''"If you think I take pleasure in exiling you... you're wrong. You broke all our hearts."''

to:

-->''"If -->'''Stakar:''' If you think I take pleasure in exiling you... you're wrong. You broke all our hearts."''

Added DiffLines:

Added DiffLines:

* SlaveLiberation: Type 1. He rescued Yondu from life as a slave for the Kree in the past, and then made him join the Ravagers.

Added DiffLines:

* ThisIsUnforgivable: He considers child trafficking to be an unforgivable crime that no Ravager should ever commit. When he discovers that Yondu has kidnaped children to sell them to Ego, he exiles him from the Ravagers and makes it clear that his actions will never be forgiven.
* TokenWhite: He is the only member of his team to have the appearance of a white man.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalUgliness: Downplayed. While Michelle Yeoh is certainly attractive, she looks quite a bit older than the blonde bombshell from the comics, and has a somewhat messy appearance.

Added DiffLines:

* AmazonBrigade: Her Ravager Clan seems to be exclusively composed of women.
* GiveMyRegardsInTheNextWorld / SeeYouInHell: Says something like this during Yondu's funeral.
-->'''Aletta:''' Yondu Udonta, I will see you in the stars.

Added DiffLines:

* HellYesMoment: Her reaction when the team gets back together.
-->'''Aletta:''' Hell, yes!

Added DiffLines:

* PeekABangs: She always has hair covering the right half of her face.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalModesty: Perhaps the most extreme version of this trope ever. Aside from his head, he is entirely covered with clothing, whereas his comics counterpart was an [[ExposedExtraterrestrials Exposed Alien]] who never wore anything at all.

Added DiffLines:

* DisapprovingLook: Once Stakar finishes delivering his TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to Yondu on Contraxia, he starts to leave with his men, but Martinex stays a little longer to glare at Yondu in disgust.

Added DiffLines:

* HumanoidAlien: Despite being composed of crystal, his body has a shape and proportions comparable to a human.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: In the comics, Krugarr was Doctor Strange's student and eventual successor. In the MCU, the two never met each other, and Krugarr was an accomplished sorcerer long before Stephen Strange even knew that magic is real.

Added DiffLines:

* NoMouth: Like in the comics, he lacks anything resembling a visible mouth. Which may be why he never talk.

Added DiffLines:

* TheSpeechless: He doesn't seem to be able to speak, so he communicates by using his magical powers to create signs.
* TokenWizard: As far as we know, he's the only sorcerer to be part of the Ravagers.
* WizardsFromOuterSpace: He's an alien from outer space who can use magic similar to the Masters of the Mystic Arts.

Added DiffLines:

* OracularHead: Her entire body seems to be composed of nothing more than a robotic head.
* TalkingLightbulb: The holes in her mouth light up when she speaks.
* TokenRobot: She is the only android among the team, as well as the only known member of the Ravagers to be a fully robotic being.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalModesty: In the comics, Charlie-27 is often shirtless or at the very least sleeveless. The MCU version of the character is much more covered.

Added DiffLines:

* BadassBandolier: Like his comics counterpart, he is always seen carrying two bandoliers over both of his shoulders.
* BaldBlackLeaderGuy: He is the captain of his Ravager Clan, and is played by the very bald and very black Creator/VingRhames.
* BaldOfAwesome: He sports Creator/VingRhames's naturally bald head, and he's a SpacePirate with an impressive physique.
* TheBigGuy: Charlie-27 is by far the tallest and most muscular member of the team.

Added DiffLines:

* LargeAndInCharge: He is at least twice the size of the Ravagers under his command.
* OldFriend: He calls Yondu his old friend before saluting him during his funeral.
-->'''Charlie-27:''' Fare thee well, old friend.

There's no proof anywhere online that Stakar's crew was dusted.

* BusCrash: ''Film/AvengersEndgame'' makes it clear that Stakar and his Ravagers crew were turned to dust by Thanos via a holographic face reveal of Stakar Ogord at the Avengers HQ before the next holographic file transitions to Aleta, who also had been turned to dust by Thanos.

Thanos on the other hand had different plans and thus Stakar and his fellow Ravagers were dusted off screen.
