The main character, a fifteen year old flower girl from rural France who works at her parent's shop. She is largely unconcerned with fighting and politics and prefers to keep to herself and her fellow commoners. When her best friend Milan is arrested for his political activities, she decides to appeal by visiting Duke de Forges and asking for his help. The Duke takes an interest in Simone and makes her his aquaintance.

Shortly afterwards, Simone's parents are killed by the forces of [[spoiler:Madame Catherine]]. As her father dies, he confesses to her that she's adopted. Simone is distraught, but the Duke takes her in and treats her as his daughter, alongside his son Robert. Simone then starts attending a convent for the elites, and after witnessing further injustices done to the poor, she decides to fight as the masked heroine La Seine No Hoshi.
