* AintTooProudToBeg: He desperately begs Major to save him in the Season 2 finale. It doesn't work.
* AnAxToGrind: Painfully subverted in the Season 2 finale. Trapped in an elevator and about to be killed by his daughter, Major hands him a fire ax to give him a chance of survival. He doesn't last long.
* AssholeVictim: No one will miss him.
* BadBoss: He's about as easy to work for as any psychotic CEO experimenting with zombies; he endangers his employees frequently and has them killed on a whim.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He comes across as a little scatter-brained, has a goofy sense of humor and is into weird New Age rituals. However, when he becomes truly angry, he shows his terrifying true colors.
* BigBad: After being the GreaterScopeVillain for Season 1, he steps up as the main antagonist of Season 2. The majority of horrible events that occur can be traced back to him in some way, save for the events caused by Mr. Boss.
* TheCasanova: Vaughn enjoys having sex with other men's wives.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: He's the CEO of Max Rager and a remorseless murderer who lacks the morals God gave a tree frog.
* DeadpanSnarker: He has a very dry, understated sense of humor that comes across as downright passive-aggressive.
* DeathByIrony: He is killed and eaten by his daughter, Rita, who he left to die earlier and then later [[OffingTheOffspring tried to kill her.]]
* DevouredByTheHorde: Of zombie variant.
* DirtyCoward: When a zombie in the Max Rager secret basement escapes, [[spoiler:Vaughn runs for the elevator and shuts it... before his own daughter can get to safety.]]
* DirtyOldMan: As noted above, he sleeps around a lot, makes implied sexual advances towards Liv, and even tries spanking Rita when she's leaning over. The latter example is particularly gross since we learn a few episodes later that she's his ''daughter''.
* DisproportionateRetribution: A blogger in Thailand slams Max Rager, a comment that gets only 11 views. Vaughn has him killed in a traffic accident. From halfway around the world. On video. For an ''online slam.''
* DrowningMySorrows: After he [[spoiler:leaves Rita to die,]] Vaughn returns to his office and shakily pours himself a drink.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He does seem to care about his daughter to an extent; when she's hurt by Liv, he freaks out and screams at Major. [[spoiler:It's later subverted when he leaves her to die, although he's clearly shaken and ashamed of his actions, then completely averted later when, after fully going off the deep-end, retorts to Rita's question on if he ever really cared about her by yelling at her for 'making it all about her'.]]
* EvilIsPetty: Sure, he's an incredibly rich and powerful CorruptCorporateExecutive who aims to make untold millions from his schemes... but he'll still make time to read negative customer reviews of his products online and fume over each and every one them, [[spoiler: and later arranging for one of the reviewers to be killed.]] Even Rita is exasperated at what a waste of time and energy it is.
* EvilOldFolks: Downplayed as he's more middle-aged but he's significantly older than the main cast and a complete bastard.
* FatalFlaw: Lampshaded by Rita, he tends to easily lower his guard when around people capable of praising him.
-->'''Rita:''' "Vaughn [=DuClark=], smartest man in the world until you stroke his ego. Then he is like all the rest."
* FauxAffablyEvil: Sure, he might be the neglectful and horribly corrupt head of a corporation whose tainted drinks caused both numerous deaths and certain people to develop zombie-ism, but doesn't he just seem like the type of guy you could go bowling with?
* GreaterScopeVillain: Of Season 1; He is indirectly responsible for all the major events of the series, but unlike Blaine doesn't take any personal action against the heroes. The only exception is when the info that Max Rager has caused numerous psychotic breakdowns and he sends a hitman to recover the flash drive containing it.
* ImpaledPalm: [[spoiler:Major]] shoots Vaughn through the hand when he tries to [[spoiler: kill Major and Rita.]]
* ItsAllAboutMe: Lives this trope to an extreme degree, not caring even about his own daughter as long as he gets what he wants. Nothing sums it up more than in the season 2 finale when he rants about [[spoiler: the zombies escaping to the zombified Rita.]]
-->'''Rita''': Did you ever care about me?
-->'''Vaughn''': Do you hear yourself? (Going berserk) DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF!?! Making this moment about you! Cause I'm the one who stands to lose a billion dollars tonight and 100 employees! You think Twitter is going to be kind tonight?
* {{Jerkass}}: He continually drifts between FauxAffablyEvil and acting like a complete and utter tool.
* KarmicDeath: After [[spoiler:leaving Rita to die]] in a previous episode, Vaughn gets trapped in the exact same elevator by Major, [[spoiler: getting messily devoured by Rita.]]
* ManipulativeBastard: Vaughn has the reach and the will to impact hundreds of lives, and does so.
* NonActionBigBad: Vaughn takes the reigns as the biggest threat in Season 2 but his plot to push his dangerous energy drink and make billions is a feat of his brains and resources, the one time he handles a weapon himself [[spoiler:he dies pathetically against his zombified daughter]].
* OffingTheOffspring: [[spoiler: Or at least tried to.]]
* {{Patricide}}: [[spoiler:Vaughn's brains]] are messily devoured by [[spoiler:his daughter Rita.]]
* PapaWolf: Zigzagged. When Rita is injured by Liv, he freaks out and goes into a rage. [[spoiler:However, he later shows that he's a coward, and leaves her to die when a zombie breaks out of his lab, though she survives (but gets infected). Later he's willing to invest a lot of money and research into finding a cure for her, but only once his other problems are resolved. And then that goes out the window, when he tries to kill her along with Liv and Major.]]
* SanitySlippage: As his plans become grander and grander, his mind goes farther and farther into mania. [[spoiler: When everything he built falls apart within minutes after the Zombie Massacre that occurs during his kick-off party in ''Salvation Army'', his mind snaps, and he pretty much gives in completely to his growing madness.]]
* SmugSnake: Vaughn clearly thinks that he's a mastermind who everyone is naturally in awe of. In reality, while he's certainly [[BewareTheSillyOnes smarter than he looks,]] he's decidedly sloppy, over-confident and solves most of his problems by throwing money at them rather than by any particular brilliance.
* TheSociopath: Vaughn is entirely concerned with himself, possesses superficial charm and kills without hesitation.
* TheUnfettered: He will do anything to develop his energy drinks and cover up their side effects.
* VisionaryVillain: The guy sure has grandiose ambitions for a ''beverage'' CEO - best summed up in his quote "I will be to serotonin what Milton Hershey was to chocolate."
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: And he's desperate to keep it that way. [[spoiler:Fortunately no longer the case as of the first season finale, although his company is still doing well as of Season 2 and he seems to still hold some public sway.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: In the Season 2 finale. He'd shown traces of this but, when his launch party is ruined and he is about to have Major and Rita killed, he really goes off the deep end with all traces of his usual oily superficial charm gone. Then there's his breakdown when he's trapped in the elevator with his own zombies coming for him.

* AbusiveParent: A lot of Blaine's issues come from him. Not only he ignored his issues, specially being abused by his nanny, but as Blaine puts it, he would humiliate and beat Blaine as well, not to mention psychologically torture his mother.
* ArchnemesisDad: To Blaine; they despise each other and Angus makes it clear he's perfectly willing to have his son killed.
* BadassinaNiceSuit: Save the instance when he was kidnapped by Major, it's all he ever wears.
* BigBadWannabe: Despite writing off his son as an ingrate, Blaine is a more intelligent criminal than Angus and when they come to conflict, Blaine [[spoiler:easily dismantles his organization, traps Angus in a well and takes over his club]].
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: He thinks nothing of having people killed on his orders, in addition to having acquired his company in a less-than-ethical way.
* CulturedBadass: Recounts Greek myth to his son on multiple occasions, while viciously targeting anyone who crosses him.
* DeadpanSnarker: It isn't hard to see where Blaine gets his sense of humor from. Being played by Robert Knepper helps.
* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:Blaine traps him in the bottom of a well, where he often goes to feed him the worst brains he can find just to keep him sufficiently conscientious for Blaine to tease him]].
* {{Jerkass}}: He handed his son off to his father to raise instead of raising Blaine himself and would rather hand his entire estate to his housekeeper than his own son. It's later revealed he beat Blaine and psychologically tortured his wife. Blaine tossed a penny down a wishing well each time either happened, and estimated there was over a dollar and forty-two cents at the bottom.
* HateSink: An abusive parent who tortured Blaine and his mother, happily partake in the shadiest of bussiness and whenever onscreen, is only there to inflict psychological pain on Blaine.
* KickTheDog: He had his will prepared in a way that'd screw Blaine over - Blaine would be left the balance of Angus' properties, but only in the event that Angus died some form of a natural death. Even if Blaine couldn't possibly have been involved in the event that there was some suspicion of foul play, accidental or otherwise, Blaine would get nothing.
* LivingForeverIsAwesome: Angus is perfectly happy with his zombie status, even if he hates being under his son's thumb. He thinks immortality suits him.
* {{Narcissist}}: To the point where Blaine and Major discuss how he has a bust of himself.
* NeverMyFault: He refuses to accept any responsibility for his wife's suicide, despite not keeping his weapon locked up and not helping her through her depression at all.
* OffingtheOffspring: He orders Dino to kill Blaine, and upon learning that he failed demands that he be brought his head with the next attempt.
* ParentalNeglect: Toward Blaine, at least in Blaine's estimation. He did nothing to stop Blaine's childhood nanny from beating him, and was later revealed to have beat Blaine himself.
* PutOnABus: Twice. In the second season he is re-frozen off screen by Blaine and disappears for the rest of the season. In the third season, Blaine imprisons him at the bottom of a well on their family estate.
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: In their first scene together, Angus and Blaine go to war with TheReasonYouSuckSpeech as weaponry.
* VictimBlaming: In a confrontation, he says that Blaine wasn't miserable because he was beaten, but that he did beat Blaine because he was miserable, essentially going for the "You are making me do this defense". A little while before, he says that everything he has done has turned Blaine into a man with ambition. Blaine falls for neither of these and [[spoiler:traps him in the bottom of a well]].
* VisionaryVillain: in the third season, Angus plots the increase of the zombie population and worldwide brain distribution; stating that 'The Future is Brains!'
* WellDoneSonGuy: Angus has spent a lifetime being disappointed by his party boy drug dealing son, and they've built up deep reserves of resentment toward each other.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: After being tortured by Candy and Chief, he disappears without audience knowledge of if he made a new video will for Blaine. [[spoiler:He's later revealed to still be in the morgue, frozen and unresponsive until Don E defrosts him.]]

* SilentAntagonist: Downplayed; he isn't scary and doesn't come into conflict with our main characters, but he still works for Blaine and kills people for him.
* TheSpeechless: He never talks, and only communicates by texting on a smartphone.
* ThatsWhatSheSaid: Tries this over text, but is cut off by Blaine.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Him and Don E spend a lot of time together, both acting as Blaine's most visible crew members in the second season, managing the brain-dealing business, and playing music together.
* TisOnlyABulletInTheBrain: Gets shot in the eye by one of Angus' henchmen, but survives. He isn't so lucky the next time.

----
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Blaine has him enlist some local rich, white kids as subordinate drug dealers. Pete thinks this is so he can set up his own operation, but in reality it's just because Blaine knows Stacey Boss will kill them and thus provide a pretext for the District Attorney's office to go after him. Once Pete learns his drug dealers have been killed, he calls Blaine and begs for help, but Blaine just lets Pete be killed by Boss's goons since he's of no more use.

[[caption-width-right:350:''"Immortality suits me."'']]
->'''Played By:''' Creator/RobertKnepper

Blaine's millionaire father. Don E persuades him to invest in creating Seattle's first zombie pub, the Scratching Post.

----
* AbusiveParent: A lot of Blaine's issues come from him.
* Narcissist: To the point where Blaine and Major discuss how he has a bust of himself.

[[folder:Dino]]
!!Dino
->'''Played By:''' Ryan Booth

One of Angus' minions. He signs on with Blaine after Blaine traps Angus in a well.

----
* ProfessionalKiller: His job was initially to kill people and collect their brains for zombies to eat. [[caption-width-right:350:''"We played a big part in creating this problem. And we are gonna be very aggressive in cleaning it up."'']]
->'''Played By:''' Steven Weber

CEO of Max Rager, an energy drink company currently under investigation for its questionably safe product.
----
* AintTooProudToBeg: He desperately begs Major to save him in the Season 2 finale.
* DevouredByTheHorde: Of zombie variant.

----
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: The escape of a Romero Zombie leads to [[spoiler:her being scratched and turning.]]
* AttractiveZombie: She may be just as much of a bitch as before, but the Zombieism hasn't detracted from her looks.
* BastardBastard: She is Vaughn Du Clark's daughter, born from an affair.
-->'''Vaughn:''' If it weren't for my habit of sleeping with other men's wives, you wouldn't exist.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Doesn't come off as too nice even when she's moonlighting as Liv's roomie, but she's playing this card with Liv, which Liv is more susceptible to since there are no other ladies for Liv to interact with for a significant length of time.
* BoomHeadshot: Major shoots her when she tries to attack Liv and Clive.
* DeadpanSnarker: Delivers some of the best lines in the series in a cast full of snarkers.
* EvilRedhead: Red-headed and a highly competent henchwoman for Vaughn and Max Rager.
* EveryoneHasStandards: She had to convince her father to use Major as a human Zombie detector instead of his original plan, to invite ''everyone'' on the list, even the humans, to a free cruise, then scuttle the ship.
-->'''Rita''': ''(to Major)'' Like it or not, you're saving lives.
* FauxAffablyEvil: She's a rather cold and ruthless individual, but she's also excellent at coming across as trustworthy and innocent; she knows how to be disarmingly personable.
* GreenEyedMonster: She's noticeably irked at the idea of Major breaking off their status as sex buddies in favour of getting back together with Liv.
* TheMole: She becomes Liv's new roommate to keep an eye on her and be within killing distance at all times.
* MsFanservice: She's sinfully sexy and has the wardrobe to show that fact off.
* SelfMadeOrphan: Kills her father during the Season 2 finale, eating his brains.
* ShoutOut: Her real name is Rita and she goes by the alias of Gilda. This is a shout out to actress Rita Hayworth and her most famous role as the title character in ''{{Gilda}}''.
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: Frequently, with Vaughn. Because he's her father and they have differing ideas of how to deal with Max Rager's scams.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: She doesn't think that zombies are human beings anymore, and is indifferent to Major's moral dilemma in killing zombies for Max Rager.

* BackFromTheDead: It looked like he got gibbed when Liv chopped him with the boat motor, but because he tasted some of Liv's blood, he's now a zombie.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He cares deeply for his Aunt.
* {{Expy}}: Becomes one of sorts to the killer from ''Film/IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer''.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: He kills the one girl who knows about the memo stating that Max Rager is a PsychoSerum, then tries to kill Liv for not only finding her for him, but for also learning all about it.

* FantasticRacism: After his brother's death he believes all zombies to be abominations and wants to exterminate them, regardless of their individual morality.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: His intentions seem to be to protect the world because he genuinely thinks all zombies are bad and unable to be humans, however, the more he dwells in zombie hunting, the more he is willing to make awful things.
