* AchillesHeel: Gepard's primary means of actively mitigating damage (as opposed to merely [[DrawAggro making people hit him]] is the massive shield offered by his Ultimate. This makes him potentially capable of doing his job while constantly spamming basic attacks to generate skill points for other party members, but also means that he can fall flat in modes like the Simulated Universe or various events that need him to fight large numbers of individual enemy groups in separate battle instances, as enemies pummel his team before he can get the energy to get his shields up, only for them to come back down when all buffs are reset for the next fight, and unlike some Preservation characters, he lacks any healing in his own kit to offset it. His Technique, which lets him start fights with a smaller, but still potent shield help somewhat, but burns through Technique Points quickly.

* DrawAggro: Gepard's second-ascension Bonus Ability, ''Integrity'', increases his chance of drawing enemy attention away.

* SimpleYetAwesome: He doesn't have many complex gimmicks, but his ability to create Shields for the party is indispensable; with it he can protect all teammates equally instead of one at a time, or having to rely on chance to draw his enemies' aggro towards him (which he can, but the party-wide shields offer more than enough insurance). In some cases you don't even need to bring an Abundance Pathstrider if you have him around.

* BrutishCharacterBrutishWeapon: He is a stern and direct soldier and the most physically focused of the three Landau siblings. Fittingly enough, he primarily fights with a huge reinforced guitar case (which belonged to Serval) and [[GoodOldFisticuffs his fists.]]

* IdiotHair: He has a single strand of hair that defies gravity, reflecting his cheery nature.
* InnocentBlueEyes: He has attractive, bubbly, cute, optimistic, yet pure and heroic blue eyes.

* FemaleGaze: The "Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat" Light Cone places special focus on his butt, with his front facing away and his expression seemingly inviting the viewer to examine his back.

* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: He's remarkably blasé about the loss of his right arm. He claims he can't even recall when he lost it outside of how it was during a defense campaign. But according to him, losing his arm and the subsequent danger that came from it helped him feel truly alive for the first time. In fact, it was the first time Luka, who had been sullen and withdrawn up to that point, had ever smiled in front of Oleg.

* EarlyBirdCameo: He was featured in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8vPZrMFiZ4&t=37s Official Release Trailer]], the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRojVWQBsgs SGF Show Video]] as well as the "Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat" lightcone before becoming a playable character.

* SmallNameBigEgo: She gives herself a fancy nickname and talks of her little gang of kids as if they were the most powerful organization in the Underworld. Unlike most examples, though, this trait ends up making Hook adorable and endearing, since she is essentially a child who likes to have big fantasies- not to mention, the Moles do end up helping Underworld denizens to a small extent.

Once a lush, green paradise, the planet Jarilo-VI has been locked in a perpetual ice age called the "Eternal Freeze" for the last seven hundred years following a devastating invasion of the Antimatter Legion. In the aftermath, the entire planet has been rendered uninhabitable save for the city of Belobog, the last bastion of its civilization. Under the guidance of the Supreme Guardian, currently Cocolia Rand, eighteenth of her title, and the Architects who follow Qlipoth, the Aeon of Preservation, the people of Belobog live their lives weathering out the cold while also fighting off the encroaching Fragmentum corrosion.

* EndlessWinter: Thanks to the Eternal Freeze, Jarilo-VI has been blanketed in a centuries-long winter that sharply reduced its civilization to the city of Belobog.

* AIIsACrapshoot: Downplayed. He's functional, but he exclusively acts based on his own calculations and refuses to trust anything else, regardless of how unhelpful his actions may be, resulting in him creating problems for the Underworld despite wanting to protect people.

* ButtMonkey: He's introduced trying and failing to hide in a snow drift before getting shanked by Dan Heng's spear, and characters frequently insult and threaten him, with March 7th getting confused if the Trailblazer opts to be nice to him. He doesn't fair much better in promotional materials either, with Topaz leaving him ass-up in the snow for trying to weasel out of debt in her trailer, and Sparkle tricking him into praising her at length. [[spoiler:Although, there are implications that some of this is just Sampo ObfuscatingStupidity as a Masked Fool]].

* WildCard: [[spoiler:A dream the Trailblazer has while sleeping at the Goethe Hotel after Cocolia's defeat shows Sampo reporting in with an unseen and non-speaking benefactor about the Astral Express crew. Afterwards, [[BreakingTheFourthWall he directly addresses the audience]] about if they find his antics entertaining, before departing to parts unknown now that his services are no longer needed with the blockade lifted and his apparent objectives fulfilled, making it clear there's a bit more to Sampo than a mere smuggler; especially as his benefactor mentions a "Epsilon" that Sampo views as a giant vanity fair, a description that doesn't exactly mesh with any location on Jarilo-VI as it is. It's also notable that he explicitly mentions the Astral Express, despite never being told that in-story. A memory bubble after defeating the main story of "Aetherium Wars" reveals that he's actually a Masked Fool, meaning he's a follower of [[TricksterGod Aha]].]]

** You can even use Clara against Svarog himself. It's quite a sight seeing Svarog block his own attacks and counterattack himself.

* MirrorMatch: A weirder take compared to other playable characters who are also bosses. Since Svarog does the fighting for Clara as a playable character, if you have the latter in your roster and want to have her fight Svarog's boss self in story missions, the Simulated Universe, or the Forgotten Hall, go ahead, the game won't stop you, which would result in the odd sight of seeing Svarog punching and shooting missiles and lasers at another Svarog.

* {{Hypocrite}}: He advises Black Swan against trying to understand Sparkle, reasoning that the Masked Fools are just a bunch of lunatics. [[spoiler:Sampo himself is later revealed to have been a Masked Fool all along]].
