* LittleBitBeastly: All of its denizens are either Kitsune, Huli Jing, or Kumiho, with all of the corresponding ears and tails.

The young Kumiho Empress of the Kingdom of Foxes. Also the natural-born of a 16th-century turtle ship.
* AChildShallLeadThem: With the rest of the royal family killed by a decapitation strike, Chun-Hei was forced to take over after repelling the Abyssals that had killed her family.
* ThePromise: Promised her friend Bitna to take care of her brother Bo-Seon.
* TheStrategist: Chun-Hei has Admiral Yi Sun-Sin as a fairy, with all of the tactical and strategic knowledge that he had in life.

Of course, it would help if Brigid had a clue on how to persuade Ron.

While it's still more or less secret by those knowing Takumi, until an accidental discovery by Akagi, [[spoiler: Nemo]] however was found out almost immediately. Her siblings and the Twin Princesses find it adorable. To the point that virtually the entire OTHER meaning behind the second treaty event was to allow the two to walk around in public without hiding. She kind of blows a fuse over this, briefly.
* HotLibrarian: Supprin is this to a tee, if more a secretary (which can be just as hot). As in, Wanko's Secretary of Commerce, Energy, and Labor all rolled into one. There are very good reasons why she's considered Ooyodo's Abyssal counterpart. And a certain studious Weasley has most definitely noticed.
* MundaneUtility: Most Abyssals use their ability to manipulate weather to raise storms that make modern weapons systems unable to get a positive target lock. Wanko uses this ability to cool the Timor Sea area during the summer, so humans can visit without boiling to death.
* NeutralNoLonger: Wanko really didn't care much one way or another about the other fleets of the Abyss... [[ItsPersonal Up until they tried]] [[WouldHurtAChild to kill Hoppou.]]
* RetiredMonster: Tanya, one of the first Allied Abyssals, was a bog-standard battleship devoted to her [[KillAllHumans duty]]. After taking a critical hit in a raid, she was captured and then shown kindness by the doctor who was brought in. Years later and even after having been repaired, her admiration for the doctor is so great that all she wants is to stay by her side.

* GraveMarkingScene: Has placed CherryBlossoms on President Truman's grave on the date of Japan's surrender and his death every year since 1972 to honor him.
* IGaveMyWord: Truman swore an oath to keep the terms of her captivity secret (to avoid further humiliation and bad feelings) and to refrain from using her abilities or fighting as a willing hostage. This provoked an argument when Musashi in 1954 unknowingly challenged her for a spar before offering to take her home. Truman refused.

* TheFettered: Her sheath is in fact a seal on her powers. Even drawing her blade an inch causes frost to form, the temperature to plummet, and [[MindRape the focus of her attention to suffer his worst fears and nightmares brought to life]]. Drawing her further exponentially ramps the power up and makes her fear powers hit everyone around her.
* HumanoidAbomination: To date, no one has seen her avatar's true form and had their sanity intact afterward. It even terrifies Dementors. The Kago everyone interacts with is a mask over something ''far'' more alien.

Because she had also tormented her sisters for centuries, no one came to rescue her for almost a decade.
* ManipulativeBastard: The former incarnation of Kyoshu delighted in tormenting her sisters and the Masamunes by targeting those around them such as owners, loved ones, and allies.

In her final fight with Fudo in 1923, she caused the bodyguard mages to forget how to breathe, and was planning to turn the wife of Fudo's owner into a gloating message for Fudo ''who would then cut her own throat'' with a post-hypnotic command. She also has severe comprehension issues which resulted in her badly misreading that Juuchi wanted to kill her as opposed to a 'friendly duel'.

Afterward she fought alongside her family through Verdun to protect Claire. Then her now-vampiric father elected to unilateraly change the child custody arrangements....

The du Chasteler family priest assigned tot he now-reopened family private chapel. Formerly a US Navy Catholic Chaplain assigned to Boston to tend to the shipgirls there until the 'minor fact' that he was a decade over mandatory retirement age finally caught up to him.
* ActualPacifist: He fights his battles with prayer, compassion, and understanding to heal the spiritual wounds and traumas of the more 'active warriors' such as Colombe and Ehren.
* DeadpanSnarker: Most definitely so, notably when he introduced Miho and Misaki Fujii, a pair of jorogumo spider Yokai, to the Spider-Man movies (because of the movies' strong positive message about responsibility, the priest is sneaky like that).
* GoodShepherd: Very much so. He views the ministry as a calling and a divine charge, therefore he plans to tend to his flock until he is reassigned to the Faith Triumphant at his funeral. He also immensely enjoys crossing intellectual swords with Tokunotakai (a Shinto priestess) as they debate ethics, theology, philosophy, and morality.
* HomeSweetHome: Born in the small town of Ath (part of Colombe's feudal domain several miles from her castle), explored the local enchanted haunted woods (the location of said castle) as a young boy to impress a girl, joins the Church, teaches and lectures in seminary to train new priests, and serves shipgirls, sailors, and Marines as a chaplain... and then Colombe meets him celebrating a daily Mass in the church in Ath where he and she were baptized as he covers for his grandnephew who was ministering to a sick parishoner. Both Fr. Jacques and Colombe strongly suspect that it was no accident that an available priest who had experience with the supernatural was present to help her with a major crisis of faith as she stepped inside a Catholic church for the first time since 1944.
* PreacherMan: Tending to the small community at Moulbaix, plus helps in the vllage of Moulbaix and his home town of Ath. He wouldn't have it any other way that to be on the front lines fighting to save and heal souls.
* SecretKeeper: Thanks to being a military chaplain working with shipgirls, he has had extensive prior experiences with the Magical World. This has served him well since the day a lost sheep walked through the door of the church that she had been baptized in over three centuries ago in need of spiritual healing for her and her daughter.
* SeenItAll: It takes a lot to visibly shake him but it has been done. Notably, finding out that Colombe furnished his room at Moulbaix with a pair of (unknown to her at the time) Rembrandt prints from her Papa's collection of Old Masters and then meeting the Sword of St. Catherine ''who thanked him for the sermon'' have done it on screen.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Father Emil Kline, a Jesuit roommate of his from seminary. The two have been best friends while pranking each other for well over half a century. Much to Ehren's bemusement when she got roped into one of their capers as the getaway driver with Fr. Kline's 'borrowed' canon law library in the back of the car (a retaliation for Fr. Kline arranging an unwanted promotion for Fr. Jacques). The Bishop, an old student of Fr. Jacques was in on it all along and laughing as he watched the antics unfold.

* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler: She was trapped by the Nazis in a magical ring in 1942, and only freed in 1946 when Delilah managed to transfer the imprisonment spell to a Shayatin she was fighting. She has had to work hard to heal some of the scars on Delilah's psyche caused by her SociopathicHero tendencies and support her love. Then when Delilah went on a SuicideMission to buy time when Kingsport was menaced by a large Abyssal fleet, Zamarad absorbed a large quantity of [[SuperpoweredEvilSide Fiendfyre]] and then plunged into ''salt water'' (which is normally lethal to jinn) to come to Delilah's aid in a RoaringRampageOfRevenge that nearly killed her too. Finally she had to choose to forsake for now her reward of a place in Elysium to return to be with Delilah. But after all ''that'', Zamarad is happily married, Delilah's psychological scars are healing, and they have just become pregnant with their firstborn daughters (who will be two sets of identical twins) in a better USA thanks to their efforts.]]
* ElementalShapeshifter: A spirit of 'smokeless fire' and able to turn into a tornado of flame at will. Which may very well be her true form.
** When she absorbed the Fiendfyre in Kingsport, she shifted into a skyscraper-sized dragon made of fire.

* PirateGirl: Just like her parents, although she's closer to the reality of a pirate's life than the romanticized version that Jackie lives.

A HiddenElfVillage of a Phantom Island, used as a reserve for the Cyclops and Minotaurs by the Magical Greek Ministry of Magic. In the months leading up to the arrival of the Abyssals, the Cyclopi of the island started having visions of the oncoming war, and warned the Greek Ministry... During Blood Week a cruise liner was attacked by Abyssals and ran aground on the island, and the locals took in the survivors, where they have lived ever sense.

* WhiteSheep: What the rest of the fleet wanted only death and destruction, and their progenitor was obsessed with the Bronze Age origins of their race, Galatea - or rather, Rebuke - was more drawn to the natural beauty around her, and it lead to her downfall... And adoption by the Islanders.
