Ajuka was able to successfully {{fak|ingTheDead}}e the peerage's deaths as a result, and in turn protect Amalia.]]

* EyeScream: Like the other Maou, Azazel, and Michael, he was scarred as a result of subdueing Issei during his rampage. For Ajuka, he lost his right eye. While he originally using an artificial eye he created, after Diodora nearly sent Issei into another rampage, he destroyed it and took to wearing an eyepath as a mark of guilt.

* BunnyEarsLawyer: They're all rather eccentric and possess their fair share of quirks, such as Sirzech's being a siscon, Serafall liking to pretend to be a MagicialGirl, etc. They are ''still'' some of the most powerful beings in the Underworld, and demonstrated their strength when they, along with Azazel and Michael, managed to subdue a rampaging Issei, [[ScarsAreForever though not unscathed]].

** While both were members of the Vali Team, Vali's relationship with Kuroka was strictly professional, despite how often Kuroka tried [[TheTease seducing him]]. Here, the two have known each other longer by virtue of befriend Issei as kids and Kuroka occassionally staying at their shared apartment, but Vali isn't as willing to let slip by Kuroka's behavior if it becomes a risk to Issei, such as learning she lied to him about Koneko witnessing her kill her master.

* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: In canon, her main source of angst comes from when she unknowingly healed the devil Diadora Astaroth, after which she was branded a witch by the Church and excommunicated, leading into the events of the main series. Here, the angst happened ''long'' before meeting Diadora. [[spoiler:The Church abused the powers of her ''Twilight Healing'', having her heal anyone, regardless of whether they ''wanted'' to be healed. This included the suicidal, but also ''[[ColdBloodedTorture torture victims]]'', fixing them up so the Church could torture them again. Seeing so many people cower in fear of her slowly began breaking her more and more, to the point that Issei jumping out a window after she woke him up sent her into a breakdown.]]

** The reason Asia ended up lost in Kuoh. While Diadora was still the one who got her excommunicated and hired Dohnaseek, Kalawarner, and Mittelt to extract her Twilight Healing and deliver her body to his servants, the fact she was let out of their sight and just happened to find Issei, and also just happened to be a [[{{Beastmaster}} Dragon Tamer]] makes the Maou, more specifically Falbium, see it as too much of a ContrivedCoincidence, leading them to suspect White orchestrated it for when she returns for Issei. This not only derails Diadora's attempt at recruiting her into his peerage, it gets the Fallen caught by Issei and practically turned into his slaves. {{Downplayed|Trope}} later on, as while Falbium was right in his belief White was aiding Diadora and did this to find Issei, he was wrong about Asia meeting Issei on her own. The latter part was ''Ajuka's'' BatmanGambit to try and get Asia and Issei to meet early, thinking the two meeting would be good for each other and the presence of Issei would drive off everyone going after Asia, only for it to backfire thanks to his younger brother's outright obsession with Asia.

* UnwittingPawn: Twicefold. First, the devil who hired them, Diadora Astaroth, intended on acting like the big hero by saving Asia from them despite already promising to give him her corpse. Second, Diadora himself as well as their boss Kokabiel were both pawns to "White", who helped orchestrate the entire incident in the hopes of drawing out Issei so as to confirm he was still alive.

A complete "siscon" for his younger sister Rias and BunnyEarsLawyer overall, Sirzechs reluctantly decided to use Rias to help Issei with his readjustment back into society, hoping that through her, the mistake he and the other Maou made with Issei can start to be fixed.

She then goes on a ''massive'' rant at all of them about how she suffered too from what happened to Issei, about just how little they actually know and that while she ''knows'' she shouldn't be getting this worked up over what Sona said, she's still doing it just because Sona's ''[[MisplacedRetribution Serafall's sister]]'', then proceeds to act completely justified in what she did.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: While she's normally rather laid back and amicable, piss her off and she is second only to Issei in rage levels. [[spoiler:So when Sona tries prodding her to dig up more information on Issei's still unknown past, Jasmine lets her anger get the better of her, and proceeds to subject not just Sona, but ''[[MisplacedRetribution all]]'' of the Sitri ''and'' Gremory peerages sans Kiba to her Sacred Gear while ranting about how Issei wasn't the only one who suffered from that incident, taking her anger out on them while deriding them as stupid kids.]] Vali actually {{lampshade|Hanging}}s this whenever she goes nuts.

* BoringButPractical: Her Sacred Gear is actually rather weak, but since it's specifically designed to soothe dragons, it works wonders on Issei and Vali.

* OnlyInItForTheMoney: She initially agreed to babysit Issei when he was 10 because she needed the cash. Nowadays, she wants for nothing, but is still in contact with him.

* AmbiguousSituation: It's been heavily hinted that ''White'' has a connection to the Phenex family, namely based on the fact that the Phenexs only began pushing for the engagement after Rias became one of the overseers of Kuoh, [[spoiler:and that Ghost claimed a "useless bird" was aiding ''White'' the night Issei was nearly forcibly reincarnated by her.]] As more of the past is explored, [[spoiler:it looks more and more like Riser was the one responsible, having become smitten with "White" shortly after meeting her.]]

* AppealToForce: Most of the people that remained on Issei's side after she accused him of rape she subjected to this. She is implicitly connected in the disappearences of Ichirou and Amalia, is implied to have threatened Sairaorg into remaining neutral, {{blackmail}}ed Kuroka to keep her quiet, threatened Azazel with war from the other factions if he and Vali didn't pull out, and had all of Jasmine's research confiscated, her diplomas cancelled, and charged as a pedophile, child molester, and groomer, in both the human world ''and'' the underworld. By the end, the only one Issei had left during the ordeal was Asami, who wasn't enough to keep Issei from rampaging.

Case in point, [[spoiler:after she failed to reincarnate Issei into her peerage and he escaped her, she made it out to look like Issei had tried to rape ''her'', and eliminated anyone who still stuck by him despite those claims so he'd have no one left, and so she could go after him again.]]

* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: [[spoiler:Part of Issei's DarkAndTroubledPast is the fact White raped him, then turned the accusation back on him to make sure he'd be abandoned by everyone. [[WouldHurtAChild Issei was only 13 at the time when she did this.]] According to Vali, the rape attempt was a sex ritual intended to boost her chances at using her pieces to force him into her peerage.]]

** The reason the Phenex household is pushing for Riser and Rias' engagement. They only began pushing for it once Rias became the overseer of Kuoh, and should Rias be forced to marry Riser, Sona would be left on her own with Kuoh, allowing "White" the opportunity to offer her "help". In addition, the Phenexs suddenly pushing for the engagement further hampers {{the alliance}}'s attempts at acclimating Issei, as they planned for initially having a year to work with, but at the current rate they'll likely only get a month, which is not enough time for Issei to adjust. [[spoiler:Supporting this is that based on Ghost's comments in Issei's FlashbackNightmare, a "bird" helped her in her attempts on him, and the Phenex family's symbol is the Phoenix, a bird.]]

After Issei's incident however, according to Ajuka, were Issei to see Riser, he be set off and Riser would be ''dead'', regardless of the Phoenix's regeneration he possesses.

One of Issei's classmates, her perversion manages to rival that of the Perverted Duo, its just she manages to keep it reigned in more than them. Issei quickly earns her ire after he makes a fool of her.

Issei meanwhile sees her just as an annoyance, mainly due to the fact her antics make others pay attention to him when he just wants to be left alone.
* SmallNameBigEgo: When Issei first joins Kuoh, she tries to establish the pecking order with the moral highground in the hopes it would stop him from causing trouble. After he managed to easily turn things around and embarrass her however, she refused to give up and repeatedly tries to prove herself better than him.
