* {{Combos}}: Noctis's basic attacks work in them in the order of Crush, Ravage then Vanquish. Different weapons can be assigned to each slot, which can change the pattern of the combo completely.
* ColorMotif: In universe the color black is one associated with the Lucian royal family and thus only those of high status are permitted to wear it.

* CoolCar: Gets chauffeured around in a souped up luxury car called the Regalia. Apparently he also owns an Audi R8 that Drautos uses to pick Nyx up in, after he gets reassigned to the Crownsguard.

* DoomedHometown: Shortly after leaving for Altissia, his hometown of Insomnia is invaded and set aflame by the empire.

* HumbleHero: As a student he was basically the most powerful and important person on campus, but he never acted ostentatious or shallow with his classmates. In fact he avoided people who just liked him for his regal status, and displayed absolutely no contempt with people who could be considered social outcasts like Prompto, and was instead impartial and inclusive with him.

* JavelinThrower: Throwing his spear is a combo finisher Noctis can do when equipped with a lance for his Vanquish slot.

* BrainsAndBrawn: The Brains to Gladiolus' Brawn. Ignis received a special education for gifted children to work as a staff officer for Noctis and uses shrewd logic. Gladiolus comes from a long line of protectors to the Royal Family and is instead trained to use his fighting abilities to serve Noctis. Their names even lampshade this (see their respective [[MeaningfulName Meaningful Names]]).

* NiceGuy: One look at him, and one would be pressed to think that he's brooding, moody and aloof. In truth, he's very friendly, down-to-earth and perky. That said, he doesn't have a ''lot'' of friends due to his lineage, as he hates exploiting it. As Prompto learns, all it takes to be his friend is just be real and ''talk to him'' -- nothing else.

* MultiMeleeMaster: Noctis can wield a multitude [[HeroesPreferSwords Swords]], [[{{BFS}} Greatswords]], [[BladeOnAStick Spears]], [[KnifeNut Daggers]], [[LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe Shields]] and [[CoolGun guns]] and depending on which order the weapons are placed in, Noctis will attack differently.

* YouthfulFreckles: Fitting since he behaves the least maturely out of the group.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: A lot of players were under the impression he was a lot older than the group due to his mature demeanor, but he's actually only 22. This is partially due to the dub; in the Japanese version, Ignis sounds like your average Japanese well-mannered adult male, while in the English version he sounds like a far older QuintessentialBritishGentleman.
