For example, even though Karna had attacked her, a violation of the rules and was even more powerful than she is, she refused to assist Gordes and Siegfried because, with Siegfried there, it was a fight between the two factions. [[spoiler: Jeanne was, in life, an AllLovingHero who did not play favorites with people in terms of affection due to the way her tasks were and her own beliefs. When she develops feelings for Sieg, Shakespeare calls her out on it by arguing she is betraying how she is supposed to behave. By playing favorites with Sieg, she's essentially betraying herself and her myth, which is why he summons a copy of Gilles to prove his point]].

* IGaveMyWord: In the anime, [[spoiler:she tells the Black Faction this is why she can't hand Sieg over to them, as that would run counter to the promise she made to the dying Siegfried]].

* TheLastDance: La Pucelle. It gives her unimaginable power and holds the same rank as Excalibur, but it also symbolizes Jeanne's burning at the stake. Because of this Jeanne's life force is extinguished after the battle is over.
