* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: In ''Super'', Tagoma is never seen again after Ginyu tricks him into triggering his body swap technique and leaves him stuck in the body of a Namekian Frog. While he is presumably still alive (provided he didn't get killed in the crossfire of Goku and Vegeta's battle with Frieza), Tagoma will have to live the rest of his life as a frog due to Vegeta killing Ginyu while the latter is in Tagoma's body and Tagoma lacking the power to swap bodies with anyone.

* RapePillageAndBurn: The main reason why the Frieza Army is so dreaded in Universe Seven is that part and parcel to ''all'' of their pacification/liquidation of planetary real estate are gleefully committed crimes of terrorism, theft, robbery, murder and torture of the civilian population. * UnskilledButStrong: All their strongest fighters, and Freeza himself, are explicitly [[{{Mutant}} mutants]] that were simply born stronger than anyone else of their species, and never really trained like the heroes did. * NonActionGuy: He might have been a great warrior in the past (he ''did'' create the Cold/Frieza Force) but in the present day it's pretty clear that he's gone to seed. * OvershadowedByAwesome: While Guldo is very weak compared to the rest of the force and other elites like Cui, Dodoria, or Zarbon, given that Krillin and Gohan had power levels of 13,000 and 14,000 respectively when they fought him, his own level would have to at least be 10,000, which is far higher than middle or lower-ranked soldiers. His power could rival the strongest Saiyans such as Bardock and King Vegeta.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Surprisingly for such a forgettable character, he kicks off Vegeta's involvement in the Namek Saga, as while Vegeta more than likely would've gone for the dragon balls at some point, it's Cui's informing Vegeta that Frieza had already started his attempt to get the balls that drives him to make a bee line for the planet- drastically changing the outcome of the events in the process.

* UnskilledButStrong: Just like the the rest of Freeza's men, and Freeza himself. The Ginyu Force are a group of [[{{Mutants}} mutants]] that were all born with great and unique powers they never had to actually earn. While they have much more battle experience than most of Freeza's forces, they're just as incapable of sensing power levels as the rest of them, and are flummoxed with Goku's ability to raise and lower his strength faster then their Scouters can read it.
** Captain Ginyu is the only one who realizes what Goku is really doing -- but assumes that it's because he's a mutant like they are, never even considering that Goku learned it through training. This is why switching bodies with him fails; Ginyu's in an alien body he doesn't know how to use, and has none of the mental and physical discipline Goku's learned over his entire life, rendering him a worthless weakling.

* WeHaveBecomeComplacent: Subverted, unlike the rest of Frieza's army, the Ginyu Force is implied to be constantly training to get stronger, which is in part due to their status as Frieza's hit squad, they need to be training constantly, which Ginyu himself seemingly enforces. This is reinforced in Otherworld filler, where Goku chooses to power up to defeat them, where before he could have beaten them without even needing to.

* UnskilledButStrong: All their strongest fighters, and Freeza himself, are explicitly [[{{Mutant}} mutants]] that were simply born stronger than anyone else of their species, and never really trained like the heroes did. This means that while they're all overwhelmingly strong, they're also shockingly ignorant of basic techniques like sensing ''ki'' (hence why they all rely on Scouters), and many of them underestimate the heroes because suppressing or focusing your strength are completely alien concepts to them.

%%* * {{Jerkass}}: See FatBastard.Guy is second only to Frieza in terms of sadism and is all too willing to butcher children and the elderly just cause. He also takes more than a little pleasure rubbing in the revelation that Frieza himself destroyed Planet Vegeta to the prince's face, though it bites him in the ass.

* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: He briefly seemed entertained when Gohan voiced his wanting to beat him dead (just after Gohan kicks him away from attempting to murder Dende), but lost all sense humor in the situation once Krillin got in his sneak hit and Frieza's shouting at him to bring the two back. Dodoria lets out a MightyRoar and angrily pursues.

* BlindedByRage: His FatalFlaw that keeps him from being an overall effective fighter, most prominently seen during his chase after Gohan, Krillin, and Dende. He fails to be attentive of his surroundings and thus gets lost far enough from his raid party that Vegeta capitalizes on and kills him. There's also [[RageQuit his blowing up an entire islet in annoyance]] when he couldn't find the trio and his blasting at Vegeta when the Saiyan Prince provokes him.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Couldn't believe that Frieza would destroy Planet Vegeta with their own men still in range, but was too afraid to speak out.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Couldn't believe that Frieza would destroy Planet Vegeta with their own men still in range, but was too afraid to speak out. [[ZigzaggedTrope Not nearly enough though]] not to rub it in Saiyan Prince Vegeta's face when informing the latter about how the planet was really destroyed.
* EvilGloating: Subtly in the village raid upon patting his spiky head for ramming a younger Namekian Warrior to death. And while he was trying to save his own skin, he made the fatal mistake of rubbing in the AwfulTruth on how it was Frieza, not a meteor, that blew up the Saiyan homeworld. Vegeta was shown in a flashback towards the end of the Frieza arc to have known (or had a '''very''' strong hunch anyway) about that for years beforehand, and Dodoria having the bad luck of confirming it voluntarily to the former's face was only [[TooDumbToLive going to end badly.]]

Added DiffLines:

* FatalFlaw: On paper, he has the attributes of a formidable fighter. Great strength, second only to Frieza beside Zarbon, and is reasonably intelligent when not [[BlindedByRage angry.]] His HairTriggerTemper and inability to learn from his shortsighted mistakes, such as leaving Bardock and later Krillin, Gohan, and Dende for dead without bothering to confirm their corpses, ultimately leads him to his own death.

Added DiffLines:

* HairTriggerTemper: It is his ultimate undoing that culminates in being obliterated by Vegeta. It's also how he allowed Dende, Krillin, and Gohan to get away by blowing up an islet and not bothering to confirm their corpses; he grew too irritated at failing to catch the trio once Krillin blinded him with a Solar Flare.

Added DiffLines:

* RageQuit: Lost Krillin and Gohan who Frieza ordered him to drag back when they saved Dende? Still pissed as his temporary blinding via Solar Flare? He opts for merely destroying a fairly small islet that they ''might'' be hiding on and settles on them being dead before attempting to return to his comrades. Sadly, for him, the three are able to evade the blast and sneak away due to his losing his scouter.

Added DiffLines:

* SmarterThanTheyLook: In spite of his many ill-conceived choices, Frieza wouldn't have given him equal ranking with Zarbon if he were all brute force. Outside of combat, he even sounds reasonably intelligent though not to his boss' and co-worker's extent.

Added DiffLines:

* TooDumbToLive: In the anime version, given that Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz had strong suspicions of Frieza destroying Planet Vegeta long before Namek, Dodoria's attempt at bargaining for his life by confirming them was only going to go badly. It didn't help that [[EvilGloating he clearly]] [[{{Sadist}} got off]] on what he thought was Vegeta's horror at the AwfulTruth...only for the prince to throw it back in his face that he was only showing his anger at being used by Frieza for 20+ years.

Added DiffLines:

* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: He briefly seemed entertained when Gohan voiced his wanting to beat him dead (just after Gohan kicks him away from attempting to murder Dende), but lost all sense humor in the situation once Krillin got in his sneak hit and Frieza's shouting at him to bring the two back. * AdaptationalBadass: Burter's speed and claim to be the fastest in the universe would be somewhat of an in-universe InformedAttribute when dealing with an opponent stronger than him, but many video games tend to make Burter one of the fastest or ''the'' fastest in the game with a flurry of attacks performed in the same amount of time any other character had barely landed two or three.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalBadass: Video games tend to give him actual fire properties to his Crusher Ball and variants while there was nothing to indicate that it was anything more than a decently fast ki attack.
