* KickTheSonOfABitch: The minute he heard of Sitri's rampage at the Monastery, he demanded Thales to tell him everything that happened for the past few months. Apparently enraged by the fact Thales neglected to mention Goetia and Sitri's actions, Lemegeton took his fury out on him, rendering Thales incapacitated for the time being. Considering all the things that Thales has done, it's well deserved.

He would often ask Edelgard about Goetia during his meetings with her and seems relieved that his king has gained a new purpose after his defeat. That being said, he knows that he will have to fight his old king one day if Goetia refuses to join him in his plans for Fodlan.

* TimeMaster: Due to his host bearing the Major Crest of Flames, Lemegeton developed a way to weaponize time that allows him to accelerate time on non-living organisms in a confined environment such as turning the slow flow of wind into a hurricane that shred his opponents alive--effectively turning his surroundings into a weapon. His abilities aren't limit to just the environment as he can also use it on himself to speed up.

* AffablyEvil: In contrast to [[FauxAffablyEvil Thales]], Lemegeton appears calm, collected and well-spoken despite his towering height and is fairly civil towards Edelgard. He would later learn that one of those Demonic Beasts he called upon was The Wandering Beast, aka. Maurice, who would be the one to make off with Miklan's corpse and inherited the Evlogia, regaining his sanity and drastically changing.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: Although he is willing to commit countless atrocities and has done numerous amoral actions, it was either for a scientific purpose or knowledge. Like his king, Lemegeton dislikes senseless violence or killings--viewing them as a waste of lives. He was disgusted when he learnt of Sitri's rampage at the Monastery and helped in healing survivors in an Alymrian village who were victims of The Wandering Beast's rampage.

* HumansAreSpecial: Goetia's defeat at the hands of Ritsuka and Chaldea gave Lemegeton a [[BlueAndOrangeMorality twisted]] admiration and respect towards humanity's determination to strive towards a goal or wish, overcoming impossible obstacles so long as that goal is achieved. This is the reason he decides to help Lonato and Miklan, even if they were pawns in his schemes and why he is more open in working with Edelgard than with the Agarthans. However, this view does not extend to the Agarthans, Lemegeton deeming them too pathetic and pitiful because outside of getting their misplaced revenge, they don't strive to better themselves.

Added DiffLines:

* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: Goetia's defeat and the death of their kin at the hands of Chaldea has Sitri adopting this view towards humanity. It views humans as ungrateful beings who aren't worthy of any betterment since when Goetia and its kin tried to improve humanity in their own way, humanity responded by killing them all and reducing Goetia to a mere human. It gets angered at the sight at non-humans protecting humans with their lives, which was why he focused on Seteth when he was holding the line while allowing the students flee to safety. Even when forced to possess Aelfric to ensure its survival, Sitri expresses nothing but contempt and disgust at being forced to dirty itself by possessing a human.

!!Lemegeton

The first Demon Pillar to be introduced in the story. Taking on the name Lemegeton, this mysterious Demon God Pillar has allied itself with the Agarthans, advancing his plans and changing the course of the story, while also having an agenda of his own. He is currently possessing a body that is hidden by a cloak.
----
* AffablyEvil: In contrast to [[FauxAffablyEvil Thales]], Lemegeton appears calm, collected and well-spoken despite his towering height and is fairly civil towards Edelgard. He is also a composition of several Demon God Pillars who has an unknown goal that he will achieve through any means necessary and is someone you do not want to anger as Thales [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown learns the hard way]].
* ArchEnemy: He's this to the Knights of Seiros due to his manipulation of Lonato and his involvement Those who Slither in the Dark. [[spoiler:He's also ''directly'' one for Rhea and Sothis given that his host is heavily implied to be none other than the King of Liberation, Nemesis.]]
* BerserkButton: Stemming from Flauros' failure to realize that Romani was Solomon during those years he studied with the doctor in the Clock Tower that resulted in Goetia's defeat, Lemegeton does NOT take it kindly of not being informed of details that turn out to be crucial just because they appeared insignificant. Sitri's rampage made him realize that the Agarthans neglected to mention 'the librarian' (Goetia) to him and the repeated incidents he was involved in simply because Thales and Solon viewed him as an [[HumansAreInsects insect not worth mentioning]]. Lemegeton proceeds to give Thales a [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech verbal]] and [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown literal]] beatdown for this.
* BeyondTheImpossible: Given the low probability that the other Demon Gods managed to survive and Goetia is still confused on how himself survived, Lemegeton's existence is considered this, especially when he's a composition of several Demon Gods in a body.
* BigBad: Is slowly shaping as this, having been the one to personally assist Lonato and Miklan and only partnered with the Agarthan for his own ends, not to mention taking an interest on Edelgard who is implied to be continuing [[WellIntentionedExtremist her plans]] despite the events that have happened.
* CompositeCharacter: Similar to Goetia back when he was Demon King Goetia, Lemegeton isn't so much a Demon Pillar as he is several Pillars inhabiting a singular body.
* ControlFreak: Combined with his experience of defeat at the hands of Chaldea and the Agarthans own incompetency and petty desire for revenge, Lemegeton feels the need to be in control of their operations and gets enraged when he learns Thales neglected to inform him about Goetia. This is even reflected with him utilizing [[JediMindTrick hypnotism]] on several people, such as the peasants he used to stage an assassination attempt on Rhea, and Edelgard to get her to be more compliant in answering his questions.
* TheCorruptor:
** It's implied that whatever he showed Lonato [[GoMadFromTheRevelation drove the man to the deep end]], resulting in Lonato becoming more unhinged and determined to kill Rhea. He even supplied his army with [[EvilWeapon enhanced swords]], that gives the wielder unparalleled strength, speed and endurance in [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity exchange for their sanity]].
** He [[DealWithTheDevil offers]] Miklan a chance to be able to wield the Lance of Ruin by giving him 'the blood of the Goddess', [[ManipulativeBastard preying]] on his [[IJustWantToBeSpecial desires to experience the power of the Crest]] that he was denied for so long.
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: It's implied that his strength stems from his host, as he's taken by surprise by how brutal he can be when killing soldiers. It also took out its rage on Thales after learning about Goetia's existence, leaving Thales out of commission for a while.
* DragonWithAnAgenda: While he has allied itself with the Agarthans, he has goals of its own which are connected to fulfilling Goetia's old wish.
* EvilIsBigger: Whoever his host is, they tower almost everyone he has encountered and are certainly the antagonists.
* EvilIsNotAToy: He is this to Those who Slither in the Dark. They believed they have control over him, letting him on their plans because he appeared useful to them. Then Thales learns the [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown hard way]] that Lemegeton is not someone you want to anger after the latter learned that Thales neglected to mention Goetia to him.
* EvilSoundsDeep: His real voice is a combination of an [[VoiceOfTheLegion echo]] and the demonic rumble that all Demon Gods have. It seems he can change his voice to sound vaguely normal in order to appear less intimidating when talking to others who are not the Agarthans such as Lonato, Miklan and Edelgard.
* GeniusBruiser: He's shown to be eloquent and intelligent, having crafted the Mystic Codes for Lonato's rebellion and devised strategies for the Agarthans, which heavily contrasts their sheer size and brutal strength they have displayed in battle. The minute he learns of Goetia's presence in Fodlan, he begins to devise a countermeasure against his former King in the event should Goetia refuse to join him.
* HealingFactor: When Alois managed to land a hit on Lemegeton, the small wound that was inflicted reverse back as if he was never harmed at all.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: He may be allied himself with the Agarthans, but he holds no loyalty towards them, his goals are currently a mystery. The only hint about his goals is that they are connected to fulfilling Goetia's old dream.
* InTheHood: His body and face are covered in a full body cloak.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: When Miklan stabs him in the chest when they meet for the first time, Lemegeton's only reaction is to be amused by the murder attempt, continuing his conversation like he wasn't stabbed at all. Of course, that's because he cannot be harmed by a stab wound.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Alongside with Those who slither in the dark, he was the one who created the Enhanced Demonic Beast that was sent to kill the Golden Deer on their first mission, supplied Lonato with the Mad Enchanted swords, sent the 'assassins' as a diversion and manipulated Miklan into taking 'the Goddess' blood' as an experiment. Only a few characters are aware of his existence.
* TheManInFrontOfTheMan: Lemegeton poses as a representative for the Western Church during Lonato's rebellion, but it becomes clear that he is the one pulling the strings with his control over the maddened peasants.
* MeaningfulName: "Lemegeton" refers to the Lesser Key of Solomon, an anonymous grimoire on demonology. This is both the first hint of his relation to Goetia as well as his existence as being a composition of several Demon Pillars inhabiting the same body.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: The reason Lemegeton is more open towards Edelgard is because he finds a lot of similarities between the two of them, and to Goetia to an extent. Despite their goals differing, he views that their [[WellIntentionedExtremist motivations and inherent desires]] are alike, along with sharing [[TheDeterminator the determination]] to see their goal without being restrained by time. [[ShutUpHannibal Edelgard doesn't buy it]].
-->'''Edelgard:''' ... Why tell me this?\\
'''Lemegeton:''' Because I truly do see myself within you, or see ourselves within you. A [[TheDeterminator single devotion]] to [[DarkMessiah commit]] to [[WellIntentionedExtremist righting the wrongs]] of the world, even if you [[LonelyAtTheTop alone]] are the one who sees them. Not relying on others or the passage of time to correct them... A single desire to see it done before the end. This [[YourDaysAreNumbered one life]] you are given and you shall [[KnightTemplar make the world right]] with it, I am driven with the same purpose... that is why I am open with you, Edelgard.
* PetTheDog: When he attempted to fully hide his presence from Goetia, who was nearby, he accidentally overwhelms Edelgard. He appeared sympathetic towards her plight and apologizes for triggering that oppressive response.
* PragmaticVillainy: While he was willing to supply Lonato with enchanted weapons to his army that resulted in countless deaths and bloodshed, Lemegeton views Sitri's KillAllHumans plan with utter contempt. Only because it views it as a pointless, short-sighted endeavor with no end goal in mind.
* SpeakIllOfTheDead: In contrast with Goetia, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone who shows remorse]] [[IDidWhatIHadToDo for being forced to kill Sitri]] to end its rampage, Lemegeton calls the late Sitri a 'revenge-crazed fool' for its pointless rampage. The only regret he has that he was unable to salvage Sitri's knowledge.
* StealthHiBye: Lemegeton has a habit of appearing and disappearing out of nowhere, even though his host is commented multiple times to be freaking huge.
* StealthyColossus: Lemegeton's host is often described as a mountain yet is still capable of [[StealthExpert blending through the crowds and sneaking into places without being noticed]]. It is justified since he has knowledge of several Magecraft, such as hypnotism and noise cancellation, that make it easier for him to sneak around undetected.
* SuperStrength: One of his notable traits is his inhuman strength, capable of punching through the heads of soldiers, lifting up a person with ease, and ripping through steel doors with nothing but his bare hands.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Just as the Agarthan sees him as a means to an end, Lemegeton himself doesn't have a positive opinion on them, viewing them as [[SmugSnake arrogant and pathetic]], with no long-term goal other than getting their petty revenge on the Nabeteans and the humans.
* VillainTakesAnInterest:
** He takes an interest in [[WorldsStrongestMan Jeralt]] during Lonato's rebellion, sensing that he's a first-generation Crest bearer like his host. The reason Lemegeton entered the battlefield was to capture Jeralt in order study him, so he can improve his control over his host. He even warns Kronya not to harm Jeralt until he says otherwise.
** In his first meeting with Edelgard alone, Lemegeton states that she's different from the others for unknown reasons and seems more willing to work with her more than with the Agarthans. He claims it's because he finds her to be a lot like him.
** In contrasts to the Agarthans' hatred towards Sothis and her kin, Lemegeton has taken an interest in Byleth's status as a Demi-Servant, going so far as to aid Miklan so he can stand on even grounds against her in order to get better data from her.
* VoiceOfTheLegion: His voice is accompanied by an echo and sounds as though three people were speaking at once.

!!Sitri, the Demon God Pillar

The second Demon Pillar to be introduced, its body was destroyed during the destruction of the Timeless Temple, but its mind barely managed to escape. Aelfric's strong desire to resurrect Sitri Eisner lead the Demon Pillar to Fodlan, forcing itself to possess the Cardinal in order to restore some of its strength. It then decided to use Aelfric's original plan to restore Byleth's mother, to instead restore itself to its full power and take revenge on humanity for the death of their brethren.
----
* AndIMustScream: Prior to arriving in Fodlan, Sitri spent a couple of months as a disembodied mind wandering the Imaginary Space, fully aware they were slowly disintegrating. [[SanitySlippage This experience probably did not help Sitri's sanity]].
* ArcVillain: The true antagonist of this version of the Cindered Shadows arc. It upstages Aelfric via possession prior to the main events.
* AxeCrazy: The destruction of its body, the death of its fellow Demon Pillars and wandering the Imaginary Space as a disembodied mind for months has done a number on Sitri's sanity that by the time Goetia confronts it, it has nothing but revenge on its mind.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: As a Demon God from the Control Tower, Sitri's talents lie in passing on messages and information throughout the network, Sitri's observation skills allow it to deduce the limits of Sothis' time manipulating abilities and enable it predict her next movement and strike back even though it was affected by her powers, lacking Goetia's immunity.
* BerserkButton:
** Like all Demon God Pillars, it holds an immense hatred towards Solomon. It initially believed that Goetia was really just Solomon going by its King's name, planning to kill 'Solomon' as revenge.
** Observation. When Goetia attempted to convince it to stand down and observe humans instead to see where they went wrong with the Human Incineration Order, Sitri is offended that its King would even suggest that. Observing the countless suffering of humans is what lead to the Human Incineration Order and observing humanity once again would mean ignoring the deaths of their brethren because of humanity's rejection.
** Inhuman beings protecting humans. The sight of it enrages Sitri so much that it focuses its attention on Seteth instead of the humans it was killing previously and seeing Flayn entering the fight has Sitri [[VillainousBreakdown losing it]].
* BishonenLine: Like Demon God Pillar Bael and Phenex, it appeared as a shirtless humanoid creature when it finally emerged. Later it gained a form similar to Goetia's Beast mode after it absorbed Sitri Eisner and the Chalice.
* BreakThemByTalking: Sitri delivers several of these to Goetia.
** After realizing that its King has no intention of joining it in its revenge, Sitri shows disappointment on how much Goetia has fallen now that he no longer has a higher purpose or goal to strive for, outright calling him no different from Solomon.
** In its final moments, Sitri vindictively tells Goetia that he has indeed become Solomon after it managed to stab Goetia in the chest and crush his heart. To twist the knife further, Sitri calls him Solomon instead when it finally disappears, leaving Goetia shaken at its final words.
* BrokenPedestal: Just like how Goetia becomes this for it, Sitri has become this to its former King. Sitri's betrayal and attempts to kill him made Goetia realize that without the HiveMind, it is possible that the rest of Demon Gods would not be entirely loyal to him, the Demon Gods developong differing personalities and views he and the Demon Gods may become too different to reach an understanding.
* CombatPragmatist: Sitri's not a powerhouse like it once was and it knows that. It instead resorts to using its cunningness and underhand tactics to get drop on its enemies. It targeted Byleth immediately when it appeared and quickly knocked her unconscious before she uses Divine Pulse, attempted to kill Goetia when his guard was down and wasn't afraid to use Byleth and the Ashen Wolves as hostages to use.
* ConflictKiller: The animosity between Goetia and Rhea tones down after Sitri abducted Byleth and the Ashen Wolves, allowing the two to put aside their differences in order to rescue them.
* DefiantToTheEnd: Sitri's last act when it becomes clear that Goetia will kill it? Lunge its arms at him in an attempt to impale him.
* {{Determinator}}: It managed to endure wandering aimlessly the Imaginary Space with nothing but pure hatred alone before it founds its way to Fodlan. And it will stop at nothing from getting its revenge against all humans.
* DemonicPossession: It possessed Aelfric for several months, residing deep in his mind as it recovered and slowly took over Aelfric. Sitri admits that had it not been for the anchor stemming from Aelfric's strong desire to revive Sitri Eisner, possessing him would have been impossible in its weakened state.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Part of the reason why it initially thought Goetia was Solomon going by its King's name was because the idea that Goetia would interact with humans for this long is unfathomable given Goetia's previous distain for them. Even after Goetia managed to convince Sitri of his identity, it still cannot understand why its King walked amongst human nor why would Goetia refuse to join it in its plans for revenge and choose to protect the humans.
* EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor: Sitri and the rest of the Demon God Pillars saw Solomon as a heartless and cruel man for not using his abilities to end suffering. As a last act of defiance towards Goetia before it dies, Sitri managed to fatally wound its King by [[LiteralMetaphor crushing his heart]], mockingly calling him Solomon.
* EvilPlan: Restoring itself to its full power and the total eradication of humanity as revenge for its fellow Demon Pillars.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Sitri has the standard demonic deep voice that all Demon Gods have.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Despite knowing that it will die permanently whether from burning all the mana it has left or being killed during its rampage, Sitri takes its death at the hands of Goetia pretty well. It does help that it managed to fatally wound its King as a last spite.
* FantasticRacism: Chaldea rejecting Goetia's salvation, the destruction of its body and the death of its fellow Demon God Pillars left Sitri with a burning hatred for humanity, viewing them with disgust. It views their extinction as the solution best suited for them.
* ForTheEvulz: Sitri proclaims that its genocidal campaign against humanity is no longer for the sake of bettering humanity, but to avenge its fallen brethren AND because it wants to even when it knows it is a self-destructive endeavor. When Sitri finally goes on a murderous rampage above the surface, it has shown to gain [[EvilFeelsGood sadistic pleasure]] from killing the humans and seeing their terrified expressions as it tears them to pieces.
-->'''Sitri:''' '''Perhaps it is self-destruction. A meaningless goal which will achieve nothing. Despite that…I will put my entire being into seeing it through. I, Demon God Sitri, will wage this single act of war against all of humanity. I will burn them away not for some higher goal, or to pave the road for eternity… I will burn them away because I want to. [[RevengeByProxy Because it is an answer for the acts of Chaldea]].'''
* HiddenVillain: It has kept itself hidden deep in Aelfric's mind during the Cindered Shadows arc, only revealing itself when the group rescued Aelfric with the Chalice in hand.
* HumanoidAbomination: It takes on a more humanoid form when it finally reveals itself, having horns on its head, white scales on its body, black tentacle appendages on its lower body and several Demon Pillar eyes floating behind it.
* {{Hypocrite}}:
** Sitri laments that humans are unable to accept the truth because it inconvenience them when the Ashen Wolves refuse to believe that Aelfric always intended to betray them. But it's implied it refuses to believe that 'Solomon' is really its former king who might have a change of heart after Yuri suggests this.
** It is bitter over the fact Alloces and Orobas betrayed their brethren to protect the Servants after their union with Goetia was cut off. After Goetia makes it clear he wants no part in Sitri's mad quest for revenge, it attempts to kill him, betraying its former king.
** During its VillainousBreakdown, it repeatedly calls Goetia, Rhea, Sothis in Byleth's body and Flayn insane for fighting it in order to protect humans. This is coming from someone who plans to kill every single human it can get close to just for a grudge that no one knows about.
** While describing how it became Aelfric to the Ashen Wolves, it also mentions that it felt Aelfric's joys and sorrows and understand them. After the events of Cindered Shadows, Goetia becomes annoyed with the fact Sitri never did anything to improve the living condition in Abyss, pointing out that if it was indeed playing its role as Aelfric, then it would have fulfilled the real Cardinal's desires to help the citizens living in Abyss.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Sitri met its end when Goetia manages to punch through its chest with his bare hands, destroying its Spirit Origin.
* InYourNatureToDestroyYourselves: The conclusion it came to is that humanity is not worth saving because they were unable to comprehend the 'gift' Goetia was giving them, leading them to destroy Goetia and the Demon Gods because humanity perceive then as a threat, their 'self-destructive' nature making them unworthy of any betterment in Sitri's eyes.
* {{Irony}}:
** With their newly gained hatred towards humanity and obsession with avenging their kin, one would think that Sitri would be in the Avenger class like Bael. Except according to their parameters, Sitri's class is Assassin.
** In the Literature/ArsGoetia, Sitri is a demon that is connected to love. While Sitri is motivated in [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes avenging their fallen kin]], it is their [[ThePowerOfHate hatred]] towards [[FantasticRacism humanity]] that drives them.
* KillAllHumans: Its new goal is the complete extinction of humanity.
* KilledOffForReal: It dies for real from the combined efforts of Goetia, Sothis in Byleth's body, Rhea and Flayn, its Spirit Origin destroyed by its King.
* LastStand: The reason it was reduced in seeking out the Chalice of Beginnings is because it knows it doesn't have much time left with its current form being only temporary and using its abilities would quickly deplete itself. Which is why it is determined to restore itself by any means and to avenge its kin against humanity as long as it still stands.
* MyNameIsInigoMontoya: After gaining its new form though the Chalice and resurfacing back to the Monastery, it introduces itself like this, doubling as a BadassBoast.
-->'''Sitri:''' '''I am Sitri, Demon God of the Timeless Temple. [[BadassBoast I am the one who shall avenge myself upon humanity]], [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge I am the one who shall burn this planet to ash for the sake of my murdered brethren]]. [[ThenLetMeBeEvil I am the one who declares themself an enemy of Humanity]]. [[PrepareToDie The Time of Extinction Hath Come]].'''
* NiceJobFixingItVillain:
** Although Goetia's rant revealing [[LastOfHisKind he may be the only survivor]] softened Rhea's view on him, it was Sitri kidnapping Byleth and the Ashen Wolves that forced Goetia and Rhea to put aside their differences to rescue them. It was also Sitri indirectly revealing who Goetia is that dispels some of the mistrust Rhea had over Goetia.
** By using the same spell to knock Byleth out, Sitri unwittingly allowed Sothis to accidentally possess Byleth's body, which lead to its defeat and the secrets of Byleth's birth, along with the actual origins of the Relics and Crests being revealed earlier on to her.
** Because of the extent of their damage to the Monastery and Sothis being forced to pilot Byleth during the ordeal, Rhea is confronted face to face with the failure of her plan to revive Sothis along with the [[IHaveNoDaughter nasty truth]] regarding her mother's opinion on her.
* NormalFishInATinyPond: Sitri gains a new form after it absorb the Chalice of Beginnings and Sitri Eisner's corpse, its Servant stats sheets show that its parameters are of a low-tier Servant, meaning a high-class Servant would be able to easily defeat Sitri in its current state. But falling into a category of any kind of Servant still makes Sitri an incredible threat to normal humans, with or without Crests, something that Goetia is aware of.
* PointOfDivergence: Sitri's possessing Aelfric and going on a revenge-fueled rampage has certainly changed the status quo of the story. Goetia was forced to reveal himself in a bid to appease Sitri, leading to Byleth, Sothis, Rhea and the Ashen Wolves to finally learn who he is, Sitri's attack on Byleth led to her becoming Enlightened One much earlier than in canon because Sothis was desperately trying to wake her up, and the Church has been further crippled with many soldiers and clerics killed in its attack. And finally, Sitri's rampage resulted in Lemegeton discovering Goetia's prescence in Fodlan, taking a more proactive role now that he knows his King is helping the locals.
* ThePowerOfHate: Its mind managed to endure wandering aimlessly through the Imaginary Number Space with nothing but pure hatred towards humanity for what they've done to it and to its kin. It's the very thing that fuels its determination to fulfill its new purpose of wiping out humanity.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Sitri delivers one to Goetia, [[BrokenPedestal disappointed]] how much its once proud king has changed so much, [[NotSoDifferentRemark even comparing him to Solomon]].
-->'''Sitri:''' '''There is no greater purpose to you anymore. You simply exist. Like Solomon you are content in your own cruelty… and the insulting part is that you do not even realize it. Your isolation from the Pillars… the defeat at the hands of Chaldea. My King… You have become as incompetent as Solomon.'''
* {{Revenge}}: Like Bael, it desires revenge for Goetia's defeat. The difference is that while Bael sought revenge against Ritsuka Fujimaru only, Sitri wants revenge on humanity.
* RevengeBeforeReason: Its plans for revenge on humanity is entirely pointless when it plans to take it out on the people of Fodlan, who are unaware what has even transpired. Goetia even points out how this act is self-destructive and would likely result in Sitri's permeant death. It is well aware of it, but it no longer cares. Even Lemegeton calls it a fool for its meaningless destruction.
* RevengeByProxy: The people of Fodlan remind it so much of the humans it has observed for 3,000 years, so they will be the first to suffer its wrath.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After absorbing the Chalice and Sitri Eisner's corpse, it uses its new form to start its rampage against humanity, starting with the people at Garreg Mach Monastery.
* ShootTheMageFirst: It always made sure to incapacitate Byleth first before making its move, sensing that she's the vessel of Sothis. After deducing the limits of Sothis time-stopping ability during their fight, it decides to take her out first because of this and the fact that she's pretty much useless in Byleth's body (at first).
* TakingYouWithMe: Just as Goetia finally kills Sitri, the Demon Pillar returns the favor by stabbing Goetia's chest and crushes his heart as a short-lived victory. It fails since Goetia managed to survive.
* VillainRevealsTheSecret:
** Sitri reveals to Byleth, Rhea and the Ashen Wolves about Goetia's true nature as the former King of Demon Gods, albeit on the belief that Goetia is really just 'Solomon' at the time. It is only when Goetia reveals himself to Sitri does he confirm the truth.
** It also reveals to the Ashen Wolves about Aelfric's original plan to use them as sacrifices for the Rite of Rising, with Yuri bitterly confirming to them what it said was true.
** Sitri casually reveals Rhea's draconic nature to Byleth and the Ashen Wolves.
* VillainousBreakdown: The moment Flayn enters the battle to aid Goetia, Sothis-in-Byleth's body and Rhea, Sitri completely loses it, calling them all [[YoureInsane insane]] and angrily asking them why they still fight to protect humans despite being inhuman themselves and the fact that humans probably won't thank them for their protection.
* VillainHasAPoint:
** To add more salt in its TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to Goetia when comparing him to Solomon, Sitri pointed out that Goetia could've easily cure [[MoralityPet Lysithea]] of her [[YourDaysAreNumbered ailment]], yet despite his attachment to her, chooses not to. For his part, [[StunnedSilence Goetia can't find a rebuttal for that]].
** During its VillainousBreakdown, Sitri question on why inhumans like Goetia, Rhea and Flayn continue to protect humans, [[MotiveRant ranting]] that humanity will never understand them and [[UngratefulBastard will only repay their kindness with death]]. Given how the Agarthans 'repaid' Sothis for uplifting them by turning their weapons against her in their hubris, Sitri isn't exactly wrong.
* WakeUpCallBoss: Sitri serves as this to Goetia. Up until their confrontation, Goetia would usually [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomp]] anyone without [[PowersDoTheFighting moving at all]] while [[OneManArmy his magic tears down a whole army on his own]] and with a disinterested expression on his face, [[UnstoppableRage with the exception]] against Lonato. Sitri is the first opponent that made Goetia struggle that he needed the help of others to kill Sitri, Sitri even injuring him for the first time with a surprise attack. On an emotional level, Sitri also forced out Goetia's conflicting issues, making him realize that he and Sitri have changed too much to come an understanding that killing Sitri is what sends Goetia to a [[HeroicBSOD depressive spiral]] that lasts a couple of chapters.
* WeakButSkilled: Ars Nova crippling it and its original body destroyed, Sitri's power level is no longer what it once was. Even after gaining a temporary form from possessing Aelfric and later absorbing the Chalice and Sitri Eisner's corpse, its parameters are shown to be around that of a low tier Assassin Class Servant. That being said, it makes use of its cunningness to get the drop on its enemies and has shown to be powerful enough to kill a couple of Demonic Beasts with a single blast. Goetia even notes that it may be on the level of a low-level Servant, but just being a Servant in general makes it easier for it to overpower humans, Crest or non-Crest, as shown by its destructive rampage throughout the Monastery.
* WingedHumanoid: It gained a pair of large bat wings in its new form, that includes [[EyesDoNotBelongThere a couple of Demon Pillar eyes on them]]. Of course, since its original form lacked the need of wings, it doesn't know how to properly use them in combat.
* WithUsOrAgainstUs: It offered Goetia the chance to join forces and take revenge on humanity. Though conflicted, Goetia ultimately refuse to aid Sitri in its insane endeavor, with the Demon Pillar making it clear it will kill its King for protecting humans.
* WolfInSheepsClothing: Sitri posed as Aelfric for months without anyone realizing the difference.
* WorfHadTheFlu: Goetia and Rhea's intervention prevented Sitri from sacrificing Byleth and the Ashen Wolves to the Chalice of Beginnings, forcing it to absorb Sitri's corpse and the chalice. Goetia notes that had Sitri successfully conducted the ritual, the Demon God would have already incinerate the Monastery when it start its rampage.
