* AxCrazy: Doomsday is a killing machine with no real thoughts or feelings. All he lives for is murder and destruction.

* TheBrute: Being an Apokoliptian, she is the most physically strong of Vandal's thugs. She also pulls double duty as TheDarkChick since she is able to seduce Maxum Steel in order to successfully steal the "Get Out of Hell" card from him.

* PlayingWithFire: As always he carries his flamethrower.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: The tie-in comic reveals that he was actually a robot created by Winslow Schott. However Toyman is notorious for making [[ActuallyADoombot robotic duplicates of himself, to take his place in prison while the real Toyman has already escaped]]. Not only thatbut the robot was apparently destroyed in the comic, but he reappears in ''Apokolips War''.

* BondVillainStupidity: No, Darkseid, [[spoiler: stripping the hero of his powers and [[CruelMercy sending him back to Earth out of sadism]] '''never''' works out for the bad guys in the long run. Superman wouldn't have inevitably gained his powers back and beat the crap out of you in the climax if you had just killed him when he was beaten and at your mercy]].

* TruerToTheText: Unlike the 2003 cartoon, this version of Trigon does seem to genuinely care about Raven despite having no problem with trying to kill her friends. Despite having been imprisoned for a few years by the time of ''Apokolips War'' and threatening to kill Damian to hurt her, when [[spoiler:he's released he doesn't even try to get revenge and instead bids her goodbye before resuming his fight with Darkseid]]. This is pretty accurate to the original comics where he was introduced as opposed to the 2003 cartoon.

* ArchnemesisDad: Subverted. Though Raven initially appears to despise Trigon, the films vaguely hint that she truly wishes to be loved by him. In ''Apokolips War'', she tells Damian that even bad fathers love their children, and sadly bids Trigon farewell as [[spoiler:he stays behind to fight Darkseid]] during the film's climax.

* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler:He dies of a NoKillLikeOverkill, being shot down by a ton of bullets from Deadshot in a very painful and drawn-out death. This was not long after he did a very similar thing by cutting Bronze Tiger several times with a knife.]]

* VillainousValor: He is a despicable monster who is ultimately motivated by his own selfish desire to save himself, but it's still remarkable that [[spoiler:he is using every ounce of his being to keep himself alive a little longer and is way more vulnerable than what he normally is as a result]].

* AdaptationalWimp: In ''Son of Batman'', he isn't quite as formidable as he was in the comics, being an even match for Damian and not even scoring a hit on Batman.

* ALighterShadeOfBlack: spoiler:Admit it, you were cheering as he was beating the tar out of Darkseid while verbally roasting him, weren't you?]]

* NotAfraidToDie: In ''The Flashpoint Paradox'', he's completely unafraid of dying. As long as Flash suffers and dies in the end, he is content. [[spoiler:And when he has the "Get out of Hell free" card in ''Hell To Pay'', he actually ''wants'' to die, since the card will allow him to keep out of his rightful punishment in Hell.

* NotMeThisTime: He wasn't lying about [[spoiler:not killing Thomas Elliot]].

* NotAfraidToDie: In ''The Flashpoint Paradox'', he's completely unafraid of dying. As long as Flash suffers and dies in the end, he is content.

* CainAndAbel: While he's the youngest he's actually the Cain while Arthur is the Abel.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: At the end of ''Throne of Atlantis'', Lex offers him to join his Legion of Doom, but he hasn't been seen since.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: ZigZagged. It's heavily implied that this incarnation committed rape to conceive Raven, yet he seems to genuinely care about his daughter and wants her to be with him, in his own horribly dysfunctional way -- compare that to how [[Characters/TeenTitansEnemies the cartoon series' Trigon]] used Raven as a HumanSacrifice and casually tried to murder her. Also interestingly, he never threatens to physically harm or kill Raven herself, even when irate, instead threatening her friends and loved ones.

* MythologyGag: His appearance is based off on his ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'' design.

* GodzillaThreshold:[[spoiler:He becomes the heroes' last hope of defeating Darkseid, and is released by Constantine to distract the alien while the remaining character escape Apokolips.]]
