* PervertedSniffing: After seemingly attempting to apologize to Aroma for [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil whatever he did to her while drunk]], claiming to have no memories of the event, he sniffed the hand that made contact with her, chuckling to himself that he came on to her too quickly, showing he was not repentant in the slightest.

* DramaticIrony: She has called Noah's compliments of Aroma's appearance creepy, not realizing that Noah has a legitimately threatening obsession with Aroma.

** She became Aroma's manager to protect her from Mono's potentially predatory practices not realizing that the most threatening predator was her own husband.

* AdultFear: He ''embodies'' this for both Helena and Aroma. That dorky, uninteresting husband of yours could in reality be a disturbing predator fixated on your teenage sister. That man you viewed as a father could be viewing you in a much less familial way.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: His obsession with Aroma takes precedence, but when he's kidnapped by Ivy, he actually becomes enraged at the thought that his kidnapper hurt Helena. So he ''does'' care about his wife on at least some level.

* HeelRealization: Multiple reveals put him in a very unsavory light, but upon finding out that Aroma ran away, he curses himself in private, expressing the desire to "repent". It's revealed that he considers "rescuing" Aroma his repentance, even if his means of doing so involves stealing the life of another girl. However, he at least is willing to admit upfront how much of a monster he's become.

Even when he sacrifices himself in the end, he can't help but happily add that his research on the transference of memories wasn't a fruitless endeavor.

** He gets yet another moment after seemingly finally coming clean to Aroma about her in reality being Kaori, profusely apologizing for what he did to her while he was drunk. He insists that he only did so to return things to their old family dynamic, but then, after Aroma falls asleep, he reveals to Helena his intentions to permanently delete Kaori's memories. There's also the fact that he ''drugged Neko's father'', an innocent man, just to have this conversation.

* AbusiveParents: When Neko was a teenager, he edged slightly towards this after Neko insulted Yukiko one too many times, physically striking Neko. In general, he was pretty pushy in regards to getting Neko to accept Yukiko as her new stepmother. It takes a while for both him and Neko to come around to reconciling afterwards.

* TheFaceless: Somewhat downplayed. We only see the back of his head in every image where he doesn't have his helmet on. There are glimpses of the lower half of his face, but everything at eye-level remains obscured. His face, or rather a construct of him created by Ivy, is completely shown at the end of Neko's DLC chapter, and the look he has is ominous. In regards to in-game illustrations, it takes until the Crystal [=PuNK=] DLC for his face to finally be shown in full consistently.
* TheHero: His official profile describes him as having a strong sense of justice. He works as a security administrator for ARC, and he is determined to find the identity of the perpetrator behind the mysterious [=AEsir=] incident. Unfortunately, due to Ivy's machinations, the ARC now believe he's [=AEsir=], forcing him to go on the run. However, he does begin to live up to the typical character archetype when he saves a hospital under attack by drones.

* AmbiguousSituation: In the 2.8 update, an OS Logs seemingly depicts her consciousness in cyberspace before...[[NothingIsScarier something approaches her]]. We never get a true follow-up on this, as the Cherry Xenon meets during his trip is merely just an illusion created by Vanessa.

* AmicableExes: They were never officially a couple, but their partnership was a pretty intimate one. Despite how it ended, when the two of them meet again in the present, they're nothing but civil with each other.

* SingingVoiceDissonance: She's given a very soft and quiet speaking voice in her guest appearance in VideoGame/{{Sdorica}}, while she projects a lot more power and passion whenever she sings. This is actually alluded to in the game itself, with some iM posters suspecting that she actually just mouths the lyrics of a backstage singer because of the sheer disconnect between her speaking and singing voices.
