* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Most of the time, Helena seems to treat her husband Noah as more of an annoyance, generally not paying any attention to his ramblings about what his department discovered. However, she readily accepted the comforting words he gave her both when she was watching over Aroma while she was comatose and when Helena found out Aroma had run away.

However, she readily accepted the comforting words he gave her both when she was watching over Aroma while she was comatose and when Helena found out Aroma had run away. Also, despite the two of them arguing over erasing Aroma's memories again after she's brought home, Helena believes her husband is reasonable enough to be talked down even after Helena smuggles Aroma to [=JOEZ=] without his knowledge.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: While "evil" might be too strong of a word, considering how guilty he feels about his actions in the present despite some of his questionable actions, he genuinely cares about Helena and Aroma, and will go to great lengths for them.

* KickTheDog: It may have just been a result of his own desperation, but shouting at Helena that she didn't love Aroma, her own sister, as much as he did when Helena showed reluctance towards transferring Aroma's memories into Kaori was a serious low blow.

* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: He attempted to sexually assault or rape Aroma when she was 16. He was so drunk at the time that he passed out before he was able to go through with it, but judging by Aroma's scream and how she acted towards him afterwards, the intent was ''very'' clear. However he himself feels a lot of guilt about this.

The stuff about Noah on this wiki needs a lot of work. Yes he's not a good person, but his character page fails to even mention stuff about his redemption arc and focus on the fact that he tried to sexually assault Paff. Furthermore it seems like every other sentence there is a mention on how much a monster he is outside of his character page, it's a bit too much. Keep your feelings in the YMMV section, and the facts on the trope page.

* GiveHerANormalLife: Intended for his former subordinate, Noah, to adopt Nora so that she could have a peaceful life away from a life of crime. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately considering what kind of man Noah was revealed to be, Nora rejected the idea and returned to placate the Mogura.

* DramaticIrony: She has called Noah's compliments of Aroma's appearance creepy, not realizing that Noah has a legitimately threatening obsession with Aroma.

** She became Aroma's manager to protect her from Mono's potentially predatory practices not realizing that the most threatening predator was her own husband.

* AdultFear: He ''embodies'' this for both Helena and Aroma. That dorky, uninteresting husband of yours could in reality be a disturbing predator fixated on your teenage sister. That man you viewed as a father could be viewing you in a much less familial way.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: His obsession with Aroma takes precedence, but when he's kidnapped by Ivy, he actually becomes enraged at the thought that his kidnapper hurt Helena. So he ''does'' care about his wife on at least some level.

* CannotTalkToMen: Though Aroma is just shy all around, she notes in particular that her social anxiety flares up whenever she has to talk with males. Noah is the only man she can hold a conversation with without constantly stammering. It makes it all the more [[AdultFear heartbreaking and nightmarish]] when Noah is the one who sexually assaults her. It says something about how much Kaori's original personality has begun to emerge that she has no problems immediately embracing and even [[ShipTease subtly flirting]] with Hayato upon being reunited with him again.

It doesn't matter to him because ''he'' loves Aroma that much. Never mind the fact that his wife, Aroma's own ''sister'', was reluctant to go through with it. Even when he sacrifices himself in the end, he can't help but happily add that his research on the transference of memories wasn't a fruitless endeavor.
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk:
** He's not as repentant about sexually assaulting Aroma as he claims to be. See PervertedSniffing.
** He gets yet another moment after seemingly finally coming clean to Aroma about her in reality being Kaori, profusely apologizing for what he did to her while he was drunk. He insists that he only did so to return things to their old family dynamic, but then, after Aroma falls asleep, he reveals to Helena his intentions to permanently delete Kaori's memories. There's also the fact that he ''drugged Neko's father'', an innocent man, just to have this conversation.

* TheFaceless: Somewhat downplayed. We only see the back of his head in every image where he doesn't have his helmet on. There are glimpses of the lower half of his face, but everything at eye-level remains obscured. His face, or rather a construct of him created by Ivy, is completely shown at the end of Neko's DLC chapter, and the look he has is ominous. In regards to in-game illustrations, it takes until the Crystal [=PuNK=] DLC for his face to finally be shown in full consistently.
