[[folder:André [=LeBlanc=]]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/andre_le_blanc_02.jpg]]

The self-styled "world's greatest jewel thief", arrogant André [=LeBlanc=] made the international most wanted list. André [=LeBlanc=] often clashed with the Russian super-hero Leonid Kovar (who was also known as Starfire and later by the name of Red Star). André [=LeBlanc=] delighted in evading capture by the young hero. Interpol requested that the Teen Titans team up with Kovar to safeguard the Crown Jewels of Sweden from André [=LeBlanc=]. So confident in his abilities, the bragging thief announced his crimes before they were committed. Mutual antagonism spoiled the joint efforts of the American and Soviet champions, until Kovar rescued the Titans from [=LeBlanc=]'s deathtraps. Kid Flash then returned the favor by saving Kovar from death on the subway tracks, while Robin defeated [=LeBlanc=] in hand-to-hand combat.

* DeathTrap: Frequently leaves these for his enemies.
* FrenchJerk: An arrogant French GentlemanThief.
* FunetikAksent: How his French accent is portrayed.

[[folder:The Antithesis]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_antithesis.jpg]]

A mysterious creature, no one knows who or what the Antithesis really is or where he comes from. He is considered the first official villain of the Teen Titans, as he and his "sidekick", Mister Twister, were the first villains that they fought as an official group when the Antithesis was able to mindcontrol the mentors of the original Teen Titans and force them to commit crimes. Antithesis was absorbing their negative emotions, with which he could have enough energy to travel to our dimension. The nascent Titans were forced them to battle their mentors in order to prevent them from committing crimes. Once defeated, the Antithesis swore vengeance upon the Teen Titans, especially Robin, their leader. Defeated, the Antithesis was imprisoned in Limbo, but has returned several times seeking revenge.
----
* AstralProjection: Able to astrally project from Limbo into the material world.
* DimensionalTraveler: If it consumes enough negative psychic energy, the Antithesis can travel between dimensions.
* EmotionEater: Gains strength from feeding on negative emotions.
* MasterOfIllusion: Is able to project extremely realistic mental illusions.
* MindControl: Strong enough to control all of the original JLA.
* SupernaturalFearInducer: Its psychic powers include causing fear in others.
* {{Telepathy}}: Can read minds and telepathically 'speak' in people's heads.

->'''AKA:''' Komand'r
-->''"I've several exquisite tortures in mind for you that I've been planning for months now. It will be fun watching you squirm... and suffer before you eventually die."''

Starfire's older sister, Komand'r is bitter, sadistic, and out for her younger sibling's blood. Born the day that The Citadel attacked Tamaran, and later crippled by a childhood illness that left her unable to fly, Komand'r was abhorred by the people of Tamaran, and passed over in favour of Koriand'r. She eventually betrayed her planet to The Citadel, after which she and her sister were both captured by the Psions and granted their starbolt powers. Starfire became a heroine, while Blackfire turned to supervillainy, trying to conquer Tamaran and eliminate her sister.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Blackfire is turned into a AntiHero of sorts in the New 52 reboot. Even her animated incarnation, while still very much a villain, omits the cruel acts committed by her comic book counterpart.
* {{Archenemy}}: Introduced as Starfire's, though they're on better terms now.
* BroughtDownToNormal: Once had her abilities stripped by Hawkman of Thanagar using the same technology which bestowed them. Despite this however shes still the [[BroughtDownToBadass warrior queen who rallies her subjects in the face of adversity]].

* CainAndAbel: The Cain to Koriand'r's Abel.
* DrivenByEnvy: Envy of Starfire is her driving motivation. It start when all of her privileges, honors, and celebration were later given to her younger sister.
* EvilCounterpart: To Starfire.
** Strangely enough, she's also one to Donna Troy; both are skilled warriors who come from different societies and who live in the shadow of their more well-known, well-respected siblings. However, Donna truly loves [[Franchise/WonderWoman her sister]], while Blackfire has nothing but searing hatred toward Starfire.
* EvilCripple: Subverted; It's not visible to us at first, but Blackfire's inability to fly was a serious handicap in Tamaranean society. The R.E.B.E.L.S Vol. 2 rolled around and bestowed her with the ability to fly.
* EvilRedhead: As Starfire's evil sister, this is to be expected.
* {{The Evil Prince}}ss: She was first in line to inherit the position as Queen, but the fact that she was born without the superpowers that are common on her planet make her seem weak, so her younger sister Starfire becomes first in line. This does not sit well with Blackfire, who then sells her into slavery to get rid of her.
* {{Expy}}: To Franchise/XMen's villain Deathbird, who precedes Blackfire's creation by three years, and just like her is also an evil alien princess driven by hatred for her younger, more heroic sister.
* FreudianExcuse: As the first princess born in centuries, her birth should have been a joyous event. Then, on the day she was born, the Citadel annihilated a city on Tamaran and slaughtered three thousands people ''in her name'', linking her inextricably to the tragedy, ''and'' she was robbed of the ability to fly by a childhood illness. Because of this, she was hated by everyone, denied her birthright and treated as a villain [[ThenLetMeBeEvil until she decided to be one]].
* TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry: With her sister Starfire.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: Actually subverted. Her better understanding of the darker sides of politics and hard-line attitude make her not only a better queen than Myand'r, but a more popular one as well.
* HandBlast: As her sister Starfire, it is her main attack.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Started out as a villain, but underwent an epiphany in later ''New Teen Titans'' issues, realizing that she was wrong for her jealousy against her sister and vowing to rule Tamaran fairly. However, she'd go back to being a villain by the time of the ''Rann/Thanagar War'' miniseries (after having been believed dead and not having appeared for many years) and murdered Hawkwoman. By the time of R.E.B.E.L.S, she slid into being more of an AntiVillain. In the ''New 52'' continuity, she seems to have the alignment of the AntiHero.
* HumanAliens: Tamaranians are indistinguishable from humans, save the solid green eyes and spray-tan color skin.
* ItsPersonal: Once Komand'r takes the throne in ''NTT'', it becomes apparent she's actually a substantially better leader than her weak-willed father, Myand'r. Indeed, her only real problem is her [[RevengeBeforeReason absolutely vicious grudge]] against her immediate family, which causes her to try and murder or otherwise abuse them even after her throne is secure.
* PowerOfTheSun: Blackfire's alien physiology constantly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and converts it to energy.
* TheResenter: Towards Starfire, and most other Tamaranians for that matter.
* SensibleHeroesSkimpyVillains: {{Inverted}} with her sister: Blackfire wears a full bodysuit, while her more heroic sister wears what amounts to a skimpy swimsuit.
** Played in the New 52. The re-appearance of Blackfire also has her [[http://www.comicvine.com/blackfire/29-12502/all-images/108-206565/komand_r/105-2478245/ wearing less clothes]] compared to her pre-52 days. Funny enough, Starfire was wearing a [[http://www.comicvine.com/blackfire/29-12502/all-images/108-206565/2456769-rhato_13/105-2456770/ bodysuit that covered her entire body]] sans her face when they faced off.
* SiblingRivalry: With Starfire.
* SkillPointReset: After R.E.B.E.L.S., Komand'r not only regained her old power set via [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse negotiating with her mad scientist captors]], but gaining a [[{{Flight}} much coveted bonus]] out of the entire affair.
* StatuesqueStunner: She's 188 cm ([=6'2''=]) tall-and still ''slightly shorter than her sister''.
* StrongerSibling: She couldn't fly to begin with, but her starbolts are actually significantly more powerful than Starfire's.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: She was treated as a villain by the Tamaraneans for no fault of her own, with her birthright bestowed upon Starfire (who, ironically, was one of the few who ''didn't'' hate her). One day, Blackfire ''snapped'' and became the villain she had been treated as, starting with attempting to murder Starfire.
* UnreliableExpositor: During her successful coup of the Tamaranean throne, Kommand'r blames her family for neglecting her for Koriand'r, while her family insists they loved her but she let her jealousy get the better of her. The truth of the matter is never delved into, but it is a known fact that Kommand'r was stripped of her birthright and the throne given to Koriand'r instead.

[[folder:Brother Blood II]]
->'''AKA:''' Sebastian Blood IX
[[quoteright:274:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/brotherblood.jpg]]
-->''"The Church of Blood will rise as nonbelievers die in anguish. Trigon will smile upon us. And that, mother... is when we'll really get started."''

The second head of the Cult of Blood to bedevil the Titans, Sebastien slew the previous Brother Blood and claimed the title. Possessed of vampiric powers, and obsessed with summoning Trigon, he's about as sinister a minister as you are likely to meet.
----
* EnfantTerrible: He's about fourteen years old.
* {{Cult}}: Continues to lead the Cult of Blood, which he has revealed as a group of Trigon worshipers.
* EvilSorceror: Sebastian was born into a family of blood. Under the tutelage of the Church of Blood he became a high priest and enacted a curse that required him to murder his father in order to gain his powers and rights as Brother Blood.
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: One of his best-known acts was resurrecting Raven to be his bride.
* LegacyCharacter: Sebastian was the ninth individual to assume the name of Brother Blood.
* MegaManning: He has absorbs powers through [[OurVampiresAreDifferent drinking blood]].
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: After biting and drinking the blood of a victim, Blood gains their abilities such as Superboy's strength or a demon's healing factor.
* ReligionOfEvil: He leads a cult who focuses magic through [[BloodMagic bloodletting]]. He revealed that the Cult of Blood was based on the worship of Trigon the Terrible. It was for this reason that the new Bride of Blood was to be Raven.
* RetCon: His origin. Claims to be the son of the original Brother Blood, although when that villain was last seen in the ''New Titans'', the only child he had was an infant ''daughter''. Of course, maybe this Sebastian was sired earlier and with another mother...
** Also, for his entire religion. Originally a generic cult, Creator/GeoffJohns retconned them into Trigon-worshipers.
* SelfMadeOrphan: As is tradition for the High Priest of the Church of Blood. While still a teenager, Sebastian stabbed his father to death, after the latter's failed attempt to take over the Slab and abduct a million infants. He dumped Blood's body into the river and assumed the mantle of Brother Blood.

[[folder:Cheshire]]
[[quoteright:249:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cheshire_003.jpg]]
->'''AKA:''' Jade Nguyen
-->''"The sentence of the court is not what concerns me. In any case, I don't wish for our daughter to see me caged like some animal. Just tell her I love her...And that I will see her again."''

Cheshire is a deadly international terrorist and an enemy of the Teen Titans, often recognized as one of the world's greatest and most ruthless assassins. Her skills include mastery over physical combat, various weaponry, and she is an expert on exotic poisons. In the past she has had multiple romantic relationships and given birth to two children with different fathers, Lian Harper with Arsenal and Thomas Blake, Jr. with Catman. She has been a member of the Ravens, Tartarus, Injustice League, the ComicBook/SecretSix and Titans Villains for Hire. She betrayed the Secret Six to the Society in the opening story arc and has popped up again a number of times since.
----
* AcquiredPoisonImmunity: She's used this to become immune to many types of toxins.
* ArchEnemy:
** The closest the Secret Six has to one, but mostly to Catman in particular.
** She's also Roy Harper's.
* AsianBabymama: So nice she did it twice: once with Arsenal, and once with Catman.
* AxCrazy: She revels in violence because it's the only way she knows to express her anger.
* BadassNormal: She's beaten Jesse Quick, a speedster, in a fight, despite having to real superpowers.
* TheChessmaster: What's the best way to manipulate a superhero and a supervillain who both hate your guts? Have their kids. She also once set up a convoluted revenge scheme in ''ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey'' that started off with Jade framing ''herself''.
* TheChewToy: Any time Gail uses her, Cheshire inevitably gets her ass handed to her. She's been thrown out of a helicopter, tortured, shot in the chest, forced to eat Solomon Grundy's cooked flesh, beaten within an inch of her life by Jeannette and then kicked upside the head by Tarantula, left as a bloody heap on the floor by three mercenaries hired to steal her son, [[spoiler: and then told said son was killed when he's really alive and been adopted by a loving couple.]]
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Unfortunately for her, the Society [[RewardedAsATraitorDeserves aren't idiots.]]
* ColourCodedEyes: She has bright green ones, evoking her [[SicklyGreenGlow toxic]] nature.
* DarkActionGirl: An evil action girl who thrives on murdering people.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She was a child by rape who was separated from her mother and sold into sexual slavery before being found and trained by her mentor Weng Chen.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Whether or not she cares about Lian. Overall the one consistent element of her characterization is that it's clear her childhood trauma will result in her doing things that go against her love for Lian if it involves her freedom.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: One of her biggest issues is that she does not have the capability of thinking her actions out in the long run.
** She destroyed Qurac just to show the world she wasn't bluffing with her blackmail demands, yet at no point ever stopped to think about what her life would be like once the entire world and just about everyone around her now believes she has to die for her crimes against humanity.
** She decided Lian would be better off if everyone believed she was still dead, so Jade left her amnesiac daughter in some random church in Gotham City. Several years later and Lian's now "Shoes," a homeless orphan who had to learn pickpocketing in order to survive and is now one of Catwoman's kid lackeys.
* DirtyCoward: Any time she gets cornered by Roy Harper or Thomas Blake she's quick to make some mention of the fact that she had their respective children. Also, for all intents and purposes, we've seen that while Jade is quick to dish out some extreme punishment, she's barely able to receive any back without pulling tail. See her encounter with Jeannette.
* DragonLady: Seems to fit several traits being foreign, sexually aggressive, mysterious and has quite the family history.
* EntitledBastard: [[spoiler:She forces Roy to help with her scheme to murder Deathstroke by blaming him for Lian's death and stating he owes her for it. Not only is this frustrating due to it being clear Lian's death was a freak accident that had nothing to do with anything Roy directly or indirectly did, but she's lucky Roy never found out about Jade abandoning Lian in ''Villains United''.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: An inversion of sorts. Deathstroke shot her after she divulged the location of the Six because she sold out her own team.
** Before she nuked Qurac, Jade herself was a straight example of this. She used to avoid CollateralDamage during her assassinations (for instance, she left a witness Bound and Gagged and even assured the man that she had no intention of harming him), and even turned the tables on some racist South Africans who had hired her to kill a black civil rights worker.
* EvilerThanThou: When the only other villain you're listed with under "(Worse) Villains" is '''Junior''', you ''know'' you're a monster. Gail Simone's stated Cheshire is one character whom she never writes with any redeeming qualities and cites her nuclear genocide of Qurac as the reason why.
* EvilIsPetty: Her whole villain history can be summed up as plants to hurt hundreds of people for small things.
* EvilMatriarch: She set out to murder Black Canary because she's taken care of Lian, and the girl comes to see Canary as more of a mother than Cheshire. Of course, whether or not her love for her child is genuine is still up for debate.
** Given how she genuinely didn't seem to care that [[spoiler:Lian was being used as leverage, or that she died]]...
** Hell, she's so bad, even at age 4 Lian is perfectly aware of and ashamed of how horrible her mother is. When Lian's babysitter revealed that her grandparents died in the Qurac explosion, Lian got so angry at her mother she threw Jade's picture at the wall shouting "BAD MOMMY!"
* FatalFlaw: Her warped sense of self-preservation and inability to properly deal with her emotions has led to her being reviled by almost the entire world and cost her the opportunity to have a life with either of her children.
* FemmeFatalons: She poisons her long, sharpened fingernails as her main weapons.
* {{Flanderization}}: After Wolfman introduced her in the eighties, she was a morally grey assassin with flashes of EvenEvilHasStandards here and there and a very good reason to resent Roy, who essentially seduced her under a false identity and then abandoned her, setting up a very involved DatingCatwoman scenario. When Wolfman brought her back in the 90s in the pages of ''Deathstroke'', it was as an EvilerThanThou aspiring nuclear terrorist and [[ComicBook/TheJudasContract Terra-style pure evil lunatic]]. Bizarrely, Roy Harper is ''also'' there for the same arc of ''Deathstroke'', and he doesn't even register as a third wheel.
* {{Foil}}: To Roy Harper. Both lost their parents at an early age and had difficult childhoods, both were taken in by a mentor who raised them to be who they are now. Roy's mentor Green Arrow neglected him and caused him to suffer serious abandonment issues that led to Roy experimenting with drugs. Jade's mentor trained her to be a killer and fundamentally ruined her ability to express her emotions. Roy accepts his failures and tries to learn from them, becoming a better, more multifaceted individual. Jade cannot accept or face the horrible things she's done and tries to shove all her negative emotions and desires into her role as Cheshire, an identity shaped to be a sociopathic defense mechanism, so she's trying and failing to live as one person with two facets.
* FreudianExcuse: She was sold into slavery at a very young age, and was never given a proper outlet to express her emotions since doing so in such a place would've been a death sentence. As an adult she's tried to live as both "Jade" and "Cheshire," where Cheshire's the one who channels her anger and hostility while Jade gets to live peacefully. Her reliance on the Cheshire identity as an emotional crutch has left her incapable of expressing her emotions in a healthy manner, until the build-up of horrific events (nuking Qurac, forsaking Lian's life) left her wanting only to be Cheshire so she wouldn't have to face her guilty conscience.
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: Deep, deep down, Jade seems to genuinely understand that whatever sort of trauma she went through doesn't justify the horrible things she's done. While in her cell after fighting Roy, Jade looks back on some of the worst acts she's committed and silently regrets knowing it was her own damn fault they happened. Unfortunately, by now it's too painful for her to think otherwise or she might lose what little sanity she has left.
* GoneHorriblyWrong: Her mentor and guardian taught her how to be a killer, and she ended up crafting the Cheshire identity as an outlet for all her negative emotions so they wouldn't affect her private life as Jade. Trouble is, her actions as Cheshire escalated to such a degree she couldn't ignore her guilt while living as Jade and eventually reached a point she'd rather pretend to be a sociopath then admit how much suffering she's caused.
* HatedByAll: At this point there are literally only four, maybe five, people in the entirety of the DCU who actually like Jade: her mentor, Roy, Lian, Tommy, and Catman. Even then, it's a stretch to say how much they actually like Jade at the moment and how much they pity her, while Tommy's a baby and generally too young to know or understand what Jade's done. Meanwhile, the superhero community views her as a dangerous woman who needs to pay for her crimes against humanity, the supervillain community views her as an untrustworthy backstabber willing to sell out her own children just to save herself, and the regular people of the world think she's a genocidal maniac.
* HisOwnWorstEnemy: She's destroyed any possibility of having a life with Roy and Lian and sacrificed every potential connection to other people due to her desperate attempts to prove she's a threat and to avoid being captured.
* IHaveAFamily: She's invoked this a couple of times. A standard defense is to remind Roy Harper that she is the mother of his child, which was useful even after Lian died. In ''Secret Six'', she attempted this on Jeannette while being dangled off a building. Jeannette could ''not'' have cared less.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Her sociopathic veneer is used to hide a truly miserable woman who doesn't want her life to be what it is now, but feels she cannot change who she is at this point.
* [[IntangibleMan Intangible Woman]]: Post-Flashpoint, she has a cybernetic implant that lets her phase through solid matter.
* ItsAllAboutMe: She has no regard for anyone else unless she can use them.
* JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope: She started out as an assassin with a moral code and an understandable vendetta against Roy Harper, but the more desperate she was to prove what she was capable of as a villain led to her committing nuclear holocaust. After that, it's hard to go back to being a simple mercenary no matter how much she'd like to and it's not something ''anyone'' is going to simply forgive her for.
* KarmaHoudini: Averted multiple times, at least when Gail Simone's the author.
* KickTheMoralityPet: Her desperation to escape from Mockingbird's control resulted in her consciously forsaking Lian so long as she could conceive a replacement baby. Unfortunately, Roy nor Lian ever found out so Jade was never forced to atone for this action, [[spoiler:even after Lian died.]]
* LackOfEmpathy: She doesn’t care about anyone’s pain but her own. Some issues she imply she actually ''is'' capable of guilt, but the build up of horrible actions she's perpetrated have led her to use apathy as a defense mechanism rather than let her guilty conscience potentially drive her insane.
* LaserGuidedKarma: See TheChewToy. If Gail Simone's the writer, Cheshire will always get what's coming to her.
* LoveCannotOvercome: Whatever feelings she has for Roy and the love she has for Lian and Tommy aren't strong enough to overcome her traumatic childhood and determination to do anything possible to avoid being captured or enslaved again.
* [[ManipulativeBastard Manipulative Bitch]]: She purposefully nuked Qurac because she knew if anyone would try to call her out on it they would have to remember she destroyed a country considered to be the terrorist capital of the world and may have considered it a blessing. She basically killed millions just to troll everyone.
* MasterPoisoner: Her most dangerous quality, she's capable of creating a huge variety of horrific toxins.
* MaternallyChallenged: Subverted. When she was taking care of Lian, and later Tommy, she didn't exactly mistreat or abuse them. But the general implications are that she only does so to carry on the facade of actually giving a shit about them so she can keep using and hurting their fathers. If it looks like she doesn't love her kids, then there's no reason for their dads to give a crap about her. Her original plan for Lian was to use her mere existence to torment Roy Harper as revenge for walking out on her, and Tommy's conception was so she'd at least have one child after leaving the Six and so Catman would have a reason to protect her when she betrayed the team. Gail Simone describes Cheshire as having a lizard-like mentality with her kids: the moment they become a detriment to her freedom, all bets are off.
* TheMillstone: Almost any time a story is being done about Roy and Lian Harper, chances are the main source of drama will come from their relation to Cheshire. Roy will angst over the fact that he was in love with a genocidal maniac and that Lian will hve to deal with the fact that her mother is a manipulative bitch who could never stop hurting others even if she wanted to (which is not very likely). Some authors have tried to get Roy to move past his old relationship, while others have ignored those movements forward for the sake of cheap drama. ''The Trial Of Cheshire'' in the first ''Titans'' volume is a decent example of this.
* MoralityPet: Her daughter Lian, and later her son by Catman, Thomas Jr.. [[spoiler:Now Lian is dead, and Catman convinced her that her son was too, so the MoralityChain may be severed]]. However, when Lian's safety was held over head to ensure her cooperation with the team, she was more than willing to conceive a replacement child just to leave the Six and betray them.
* MoralEventHorizon: In-universe it's usually considered to be her nuking {{Qurac}} ForTheEvulz in ''Deathstroke #19''.
* MsFanservice: When [[FanDisservice she's not being disturbing]], her revealing outfit and seductive mannerisms definitely fit this trope.
* MuggingTheMonster: The mercenary who went after her and tried to rape her probably should have read up on her history first. Let's just say it doesn't end well for him.
-->'''Cheshire''': To be fair, he ''does'' have the kind of face that looks better in rictus.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: The ending of "The Trial of Cheshire" shows Jade locked away in a prison cell and forced to look back on everything that got her to this point and realizes everything she did was her own fault. Unfortunately, after that she tries way too hard to numb herself by staying solely in her Cheshire persona.
* NeverMyFault: She hates Roy for leaving her and because he was investigating her for the government while they were dating. She has a right to be angry about the latter, but it hasn't dawned on her that her increasingly bloodthirsty actions and repeated excuses of how she can't change who she is are the reasons why Roy's refused to get back together with her.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: Following the retcon of Lian's death, Jade was shown leaving her unconscious and amnesiac daughter in a church in Gotham City operating under the pretext that it would be better for Lian to have a fresh start cut off from her parents and extended family. Fast forward several years later and it's shown Jade's spur of the moment plan backfired pretty badly, now that Lian's a homeless, pickpocketing teen orphan working as a lackey for Catwoman. Which isn't even taking into account that she abandoned Lian in Gotham City, [[WretchedHive of all places]]. With no memories, no family, and no means of support, it's honestly a wonder how Lian was able to survive living in Gotham long enough to become a teenager.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Nuking Qurac pretty much redefined Cheshire both in and out of universe, and unlike most cases this was a JustifiedTrope because no one in their right mind would brush off the fact she murdered millions simply to show that she could.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Jade casually talks about poisoning people on her best of days, so if she's ever shown actually feeling sorry for what she's done it must've taken a ''lot'' to make her drop her guard.
* ParentalAbandonment: ''ComicBook/DCInfiniteFrontier'' revealed she's known Lian was actually alive all this time, but left her in some church at Gotham City unconscious and with total amnesia thinking she'd be better off this way. [[DidntThinkThisThrough She was wrong]].
* PoisonedWeapons: Tends to use her fingernails, among other things.
* PsychoForHire: She may be in the super villain gig for the money, but she definitely enjoys her work ''way'' too much.
* PunchClockVillain: In the 80s, before [[MoralEventHorizon she nuked a country.]]
* TheResenter:
** Her relationship with Roy is especially fucked up because, despite whatever lingering love she is for him, it's overshadowed by her blistering hatred for how he walked out on her. Ironically, her homicidal actions only served to prove Roy was right to leave her and take custody of Lian after realizing they could never have a life together.
** She loathes Black Canary because Canary has a closer bond to Roy and Lian than Jade herself could have.
* {{Sadist}}: She takes a disturbing pleasure in poisoning her victims.
* SexWithTheEx: She's implied to have had sex with Roy multiple times after he joined Deathstroke's Titans, though it's blatantly clear she's doing it to control him. Their first time together after Roy becomes a member of the team happens after she's stolen his heroin while he needs a fix, offering sex as an alternative to his addiction.
* SlasherSmile: It's how she got her name.
* TheSociopath: Has referred to herself as a "Well-known sociopath," and there was increasing evidence she truly didn't give a shit about anyone, not Roy ''or'' Lian, if it wasn't convenient for her. The idea that she openly refers to herself as a sociopath may imply she's not, but is trying to be in order to live with the bloodshed on her hands.
* StepfordSmiler: That smug, seductive grin Cheshire has is used to hide an incredibly unhappy person who longs to be with her children.
* SympathyForTheDevil: Roy and Lian are literally the only people on the planet who feel any sense of sorrow or compassion for Jade, and that's only because she's Lian's mom AND even then the two both feel she deserves punishment for her actions. The idea they still care about her, Roy especially, has left both of them to wonder if there's something wrong with themselves.
* TokenEvilTeammate: When she was part of the Six and later Deathstroke's Titans because she was actively conspiring against Slade and exploiting Arsenal's breakdown.
* TookALevelInDumbass: Jade always had a rather eloquent vernacular, but following ''Rise of Arsenal'' and starting in ''Villains for Hire'' her vocabulary suddenly became extremely limited and she started swearing more frequently.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: Well, Toxic Ex-Girlfriend Influence on Roy Harper. She eagerly manipulates their past relationship and the fact that she had his daughter just about every time they meet, with key moments being in ''Rise of Arsenal'' and the second ''Titans'' book. In the former Jade had shown up to kill Roy because of Lian's death, but if she hadn't said "our baby is gone" after she'd been cornered, Roy may have very well killed her. In ''Titans'', Roy only joined Deathstroke's team because Cheshire said he "owed" her for Lian's death.
* TragicVillain: Cheshire is a deeply unhappy and angry woman so traumatized by her childhood spent in slavery and how she grew up with no healthy ways to vent her emotions that she has destroyed every meaningful relationship she may have had.
** Growing up with the fear of being enslaved and held captive again have caused her to do anything and everything possible to prevent it from happening, including sacrificing her daughter's well being. Said actions included selling out the Secret Six and manipulating Catman into helping her conceive a child, which not only made the Six her sworn enemies but proved to the global villain community she can never be trusted as an ally.
** Her efforts to prove how dangerous she is destroyed whatever ethics she may have had and got her labeled a genocidal maniac, making it impossible for her to ever have a life with Roy and Lian and causing them no end of unhappiness at seeing what Jade's become. Even if she had justifiable reasons to hate Roy because of their original relationship, her actions later on overshadowed whatever he may have done to her and convinced him Jade was beyond salvation.
** Jade's biggest fear of becoming trapped again has been fulfilled by none other than herself, and she's now stuck living a life as a wanted criminal feared, hated, and distrusted by every person around her with no one but herself to blame for how she got here.
* {{Troll}}: It doesn't get any pettier than blowing up the terrorist capital of the world just to prove you could and for laughing in the face of global hypocrisy.
* VillainTeleportation: Post-Flashpoint, her implant lets her do this.
* WomanScorned: This is the whole reason she had Lian. The next time she met Roy Harper after their relationship ended, she told him about their child, a child she was never going to let him see as revenge. And when Roy ''did'' meet Lian, Jade changed her plan to taunting Roy by giving him the barest of details on Lian's development but never letting him see her again.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: In ''Villains United'', she was blackmailed into compliance by threats against Lian's safety. Over the course of the miniseries she successfully seduced Catman and managed to conceive a replacement baby in order to betray and leave the Secret Six with Lian's welfare no longer being an issue (that she cared about). It turned out the threat was false, but she didn't know that.

[[folder:Cinder]]
[[quoteright:264:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cinder_001.jpg]]
->'''AKA:''' Carla Moretti

Not much is known about the mysterious villain called Cinder, except that her real name is Carla Moretti and that she was abused as a child. She participated in the murder of Atom along with Deathstroke and the rest of his Titans.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Eric Wallace states she was sexually abused by her favorite uncle when she was fourteen, worked with the Italian Military's bomb squad as a form of a death wish, and got her powers from a nuclear explosion.
* {{Antihero}}/AntiVillain: She's something, but it's not clear what. Her actions are all based on her sense of self-loathing and suicidal tendencies, so it's clear everything she does is just until she can finally die.
* BeingTorturedMakesYouEvil: Her entire backstory is just one long line of physical and emotional abuse.
* BrokenBird: Her entire character to the point she's almost a parody of the trope. There is almost no page featuring her that doesn't showcase how miserable and unhappy she is.
* CoolBigSis: Carla was always close to her younger siblings and their violent deaths were the starting point of her suicidal spiral.
* DeathSeeker: She believes the world is a terrible place, yearning to be with her family and finally stop her suffering.
* DramaticIrony: Cinder's entire shtick is that she hunts down rapists and child molesters because she herself was raped by her uncle as a teenager, yet had absolutely no clue the man she worked for got away with grooming and raping a teenage girl.
* HeroicSacrifice: She dies destroying Slade's Methuselah Device, but this is a subversion. It is very clear that she's only destroying the machine to prevent her family from being brought back into what she perceives to be a horrible world and so she can finally satisfy her death wish.
* ICannotSelfTerminate: Her powers leave her unable to kill herself, much to her frustration.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: She's completely aware of the fact that she is an awful person willing to kill innocents to get to child molesters and serial rapists in high places, yet this is all just stemming the tide until she can finally die herself. Subverted in that it's shown Carla's immortality means there was no reason why she had to kill Ryan Choi for Deathstroke, because what was stopping her from reaching those supposed harder targets if she can't die or be hurt?
* KarmaHoudini: She gets away with killing Ryan Choi and exploiting the suffering of sexual abuse victims to justify her multiple murders when she gets to die like she always wanted, avoiding any punishment for her misdeeds and going out looking like a hero.
* KnightTemplar: She uses her magma powers to kill sex offenders, but goes as far to as willingly have sex with them so she can burn off their reproductive organs using her vagina, which itself was completely unnecessary since she was alone with her victim.
* {{Narcissist}}: As far as a FlatCharacter can go, she's utterly self-absorbed and knows nothing but hating herself and hunting down rapists to stem the tide until she can satisfy her death wish.
* [[NiceJobBreakingItHero Nice Job Breaking It Antihero/Villain]]: She attempted to murder a child molester named Nursery Cryme but ended up letting him free by accident.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: Emphasis goes on "extremist" and the "well intentioned" part gradually became more and more shallow, until it was clear she only goes out of her way to hunt down rapists and child molesters because she has nothing better to do until she can find a way to die for good.
* PlayingWithFire: Her powers are listed as heat and magma generation.
* RapeAsBackstory: Was raped by her uncle at 14.
* SurvivorGuilt: Her suffering began when she watched her brothers die in an explosion in the field she herself played in numerous times, wondering why she was spared but not them.
* WhoWantsToLiveForever: Not in this horrible world, according to her.

* ClockKing: One of the major trope codifies besides the original.
* LegacyCharacter: Take the name from the [[Characters/GreenArrow first Clock King, William Tockman]], an enemy of Green Arrow.
* {{Seers}}: Clock King has the always-active ability to see what is about to happen 4.6692 seconds into the future, allowing him to anticipate an opponent's every move.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: While not as clear at first, the more he appeared the more obvious it became that Clock King was a knock off of Deathstroke. His obsession with Rose Wilson, his amoral manipulations, his fake Titans team, and his sexual relationship with an underage, sociopathic teenage girl are all things Slade Wilson's done.

Deathstroke is the world's greatest assassin/mercenary and one of most famous enemy of the Teen Titans. Originally a soldier in the U.S. Army, he was part of an experimental super-soldier project where he gained enhanced strength, agility and intelligence. His vendetta against the Titans began when he swore revenge for the death of his oldest son Grant; his two other children would go on to become Titans members as Jericho and Ravager. Traditionally his actions have been limited by a strong personal code of honor, although his motives became more villainous following the death of his wife Adeline Kane. Through this time his only steady companion is his loyal manservant Major Wintergreen. He has been a member of Checkmate, H.I.V.E., the Injustice League, the Secret Society of Super-Villains, the Titans and Titans East.

-->''"Marriage is a mistake every man should make... don't you agree?"''

A mercenary assassin who debuted in the same issue as Danny Chase, what set Godiva apart from the rest of the Titans' RoguesGallery was that she was much more comedic but still totally insane. Claiming to be a princess born from a Chinese prince and an African princess, Godiva acted like she was the star of her own show and would have her every move recorded by a series of replaceable henchmen she called "Video" so she could watch herself for her amusement. She could control minds and developed an attraction to Cyborg, which he loathed.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Cyborg.
* AxCrazy: Was completely insane, and even aware of it.
* BadBoss: Has nonchalantly murdered henchmen and workers for committing such offenses as smoking and eating red meat in her presence. She's also implied to go through a string of "Videos" because she either kills them or abandons them when it's convenient for her.
* BerserkButton: Three. Don't ever stop filming her because she is the center of attention, don't ever smoke around her, and don't ever eat red meat around her or she ''will'' kill you.
* CardCarryingVillain: When she threatened to blow up a satellite and kill everyone in the vicinity.
-->'''Danny Chase''': You're really that crazy, aren't you?
-->'''Godiva''': Yeah, I really am.
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale: Subverted. She never actually makes Cyborg sleep with her, but she still uses her mind control abilities to kiss him while under her thrall and has entertained the idea of having fun with him while in that state. Whether she actually does things like that when controlling people is up for debate. For the most part, Cyborg hates her and was horrified when she began controlling him again.
* EvilVegetarian: Godiva is a mercenary assassin who is also a health nut. At one point, she [[BadBoss shoots one of her employees]] for eating a sandwich with red meat in it.
* GranolaGirl: She's a health nut who claims to spend a small fortune in making sure her henchmen are eating the proper amount of vegetables three times a day, and as mentioned, she'll kill people for not eating right. After torturing Danny Chase's father, she then offered to get him some milk explaining it's good for the bones.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Calls the dictators she's robbing and then going to kill "Nasty" and "Petty." The irony is completely lost on her.
* InsaneTrollLogic: She kills a construction worker for eating a sandwich containing red meat because, as she puts it, he's hurting himself. Which also hurts her. Which means ''he's'' hurting ''her''.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Her various palaces are built with monitors and TV screens in every room so she can watch Video filming her, and almost killed one Video when he briefly stopped filming her.
* LargeHam: Her EstablishingCharacterMoment has her posing on a motorcycle while her thugs beat up the Chase Family.
-->'''Godiva''': No no Video... hold. Ahh, now... the moonlight is just perfect. Tonight, dear Video, shoot the entire roll. Godiva feels particularly gorgeous. Ahh, Godiva. An alabaster moon splashed against silken flesh. The other girls must be soooo jealous.
* LighterAndSofter: What sets her apart from Deathstroke, Cheshire, and the Fearsome Five is that her defining entertainment factor is how campy and ridiculous she is while still being totally insane and unpredictable. She also lacks any of the moral grey areas found in Deathstroke and Cheshire. There's absolutely nothing good or redeemable about her, but by damn she is hilarious and entertaining.
* {{Narcissist}}: She could probably give the original deal a run for his money with how much time she spends fixated on herself. For added effect, she'll often be seen walking around with a hand mirror held up to her face.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: She appears goofy and ridiculous, but she successfully outfoxed the Titans and a number of dictators and tyrants in her first appearance. And as the rest of the entries make clear, she can easily make people kill each other and will shoot someone in the back just for smoking.
* OneSteveLimit: Shares codename with British heroine Godiva, although other than that they're very different.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: She's no less dangerous when she's happy, but if her smile falters you better believe someone's gonna die.
* PeoplePuppets: When she focuses on someone, she can take hold of their mind and absorb everything in it, either turning them into mindless zombies forever or making them do her bidding until she lets them go.
* {{Sadist}}: After kidnapping Danny Chase's parents to get the information she needed, she beat it out of Mr. Chase by making Mrs. Chase torture him into talking.
* StraightEdgeEvil: Is a health nut and a vegetarian, keeps herself in peak physical condition and does not smoke or drink alcohol. Has no problem with murder, torture, theft, extortion, etc.
* TakeAThirdOption: She was hired to destroy a powerful satellite. Then decided she could make more money by stealing the satellite and selling it the highest bidder. ''Then'' she decided to just the rob the people she was going to auction the satellite off to, and then kill them.

-->''"Don't they realize there is nothing that I have not foreseen-- nothing I have not lived through? That one way or another, the future I have worked so hard to create... Begins at long last... NOW, and HERE?!"''

Introduced in the ComicBook/{{New 52}} series. Leader of the organization NOWHERE, which kidnaps metahuman teens to build an army of said teens, have a few half trained ones escape and spark a panic regarding them, so they can come in and save the day.
----
* FakeUltimateHero: To "save the future", in his own words.
* GoGoEnslavement: Dresses up all the teens he captures in suits with TronLines.
* GambitRoulette: He claims it was his plan when the heroes thwarted his kidnapping and make an army plans, but given his intitial plan's intelligence, it comes off as more of an AssPull.
* GladiatorGames: His scheme to make an army of meta humans he could control.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Harvest is TheManBehindTheMan for N.O.W.H.E.R.E., who had his fingers in ''many'' pies in the New 52 -- ''Teen Titans'', ''Superboy'', ''Ravagers'', ''Red Hood and the Outlaws'', ''etc''.
* InTheHood: He wears a huge hood to disguise himself, he probably wears it to hide that ugly mug of his because there is no other reason why he would need to disguise himself.
* InformedAttribute: His villainous aptitude. He’s introduced as this super intelligent villain, yet his entire scheme is kidnapping superheroes forcing them to fight to the death and for some reason they’d serve him. He’s then hyped as having parts in several origins stories, yet there is no way he could have all the parts of past or future origins of an entire team of heroes and have them conveniently on the same side at that very moment. He talks about how he’s a good man, who just wants to save the world and they should be helping him. But forcing them to kill their friends all the while grinning about it really says otherwise against this so called savior.
* MeaningfulName: [[spoiler:In light of what his link to Jon is, and why Superboy was vital to him, Harvest becomes quite a meaningful name. He's, specifically, ''[[FridgeHorror an organ harvester.]]'']]
* ObviouslyEvil: His attire paints him as the GrimReaper with TronLines, in spite of his attempt to eventually seem heroic to the general populace.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: With round about murder and fear domination.
* ShowDontTell: His main problem. He is said to be an expert schemer and manipulator, but his core plan for recruitment is not the most well thought out. It consists of kidnapping metahumans (and [[TheEveryman some people off the street]]), forcing them into a ''battle royale'' to determine the 'best', which he then makes his private army. Apparently, this has been going on for some time, and the batch sent through the Culling in the early ComicBook/{{New 52}} is the only one that has rebelled.

-->''"By tomorrow night, Superman, the H.I.V.E. shall not only control the city of Metropolis-- --but we shall also kill your girl friend as well! By tomorrow night, Lois Lane shall die!"''

H.I.V.E. is an evil organization that specializes in training assassins and mercenaries. They sell their services to anyone who can pay for them. This has made them an enemy to the Teen Titans. There have been several leaders of H.I.V.E. including Adeline Kane and Queen Bee. Many of their low-level soldiers are designed to look like bees.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Bees and related insects, naturally. This was much more low key in the early 80s issues, but became more prominent with later appearances.
* AnimationLeadTime: Inverted. The H.I.V.E. was created for and introduced in ''New Teen Titans'', but was also "revealed" to be TheManBehindTheMan in a contemporaneous ''Superman'' storyline that technically began before the H.I.V.E.'s debut, leading to an odd case of the H.I.V.E. existing before it ever existed.
* FunWithAcronyms: The full name is "The Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination".
* GreaterScopeVillain: They gave Ravager a faulty copy of Deathstroke's SuperSerum in order to ensnare the latter in their own plans and launched his relationship with the Titans.
* MadScientist: The H.I.V.E. collects these for its membership.
* OmniscientCouncilOfVagueness: The H.I.V.E. is lead by a council of seven mysterious hooded figures. Originally they were treated as the top-level of the organization, but they were later revealed to serve a queen bee-type "H.I.V.E. mistress".

Deathstroke recruited him for Titans East solely to battle Kid Devil, as he was the only villain he could find who had even heard of Kid Devil.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: DependingOnTheArtist, Kid Crusader could be a tanned Caucasian, Middle Eastern, or Southern Asian. The only concrete fact known about his origins (that he is the son of Christian missionaries) rules out none of these options.
* ArchNemesis: The closest thing Kid Devil has to one.
* BadHabits: His costume resembles the robes of an altar boy crossed with a crusader tabard.
* DemonSlaying: Has sworn to ride the world of demons, and made Kid Devil his especial target.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: His obsession with destroying demons has left him indifferent to human suffering not caused by demons, and his is willing to commit morally heinous act in the name of his holy quest.
* HolyBurnsEvil: Can repel demons with the strength of his faith.

* VanHelsingHateCrimes: Seeks to destroy Kid Devil despite overwhelming evidence that Kid Devil is better than his demonic nature, and Kid Devil even having saved his soul.

-->''"You're finished, Robin! If Kid Flash and Aqualad couldn't stop my fire-storm with their super-powers, what chance do you have?"''

* ActuallyIAmHim: It's revealed in the final pages of the third ''Comicbook/SecretOrigins'' annual that the Gargoyle, the [[AlternateDimension Limbo-bound]] monster with a hate-on for Dick Grayson, was actually Bromm Stikk, historically the first enemy of the Titans from before they even became the Titans, serving the Antithesis, the EldritchAbomination from the new Titans origin story presented at the end of the 70s renewal.
* AdaptationalBadass: The original Mister Twister from the 60s was a laughable old man wearing a cloak of bird-feathers who used native American "medicine" for the [[NotSoHarmlessVillain not-so-laughable purpose of commanding the forces of nature]]. The ''Rebirth'' take on him re-interprets him ([[CompositeCharacter in light of the phantasmagoria of the Gargoyle]]) and casts him as a demonic HumanoidAbomination preying on the Titans in service of an even greater EldritchAbomination. [[spoiler: Who turned out not to be the Antithesis, as one might expect, but a future version of Donna Troy]].
* ArcWelding: Historically, Mister Twister, the Gargoyle, and the Antithesis had nothing to do with each other; the Gargoyle was indicated to be an old foe of the Titans with a grudge against Robin in particular, but nothing tied him to any known villain. The third ''Secret Origins'' annual identified the Gargoyle as Mister Twiser's transformed state, induced by the Antithesis.
* ArchEnemy: Was arguably the first one the Titans had, as he's more consistently targeted Dick Grayson and the rest of the Fab Five more than he has the other Titans. It's not even clear if he's aware of the Titans who joined after the 70s group disbanded.
* BerserkButton: The word "Limbo" becomes this to him due to his time spent there. He reveals himself to [[TheTeamNormal Mal Duncan]] in his second appearance as the Gargoyle by his reaction when Mal was doing the game of the same name.
* DarkerAndEdgier: After he became the Gargoyle he became much more twisted and wicked, which was inevitable considering his powers were now linked to an EldritchAbomination called the Antithesis. When Twister returned in ''ComicBook/TitansHunt2015'', he was back to being Mister Twister but retained the creepiness he developed as the Gargoyle.
* ElementalPowers: His "Mister Twister" persona obviously [[BlowYouAway makes tornadoes]], but he later threatens Hatton Corners with a [[DishingOutDirt sandstorm]], [[MakingASplash rain that floods the entire town]], [[PlayingWithFire and a huge fireball]].
* EvilIsPetty: Is obsessed with the Fab Five and fixated on them as they were when he first fought them, to the point that when he traps them in a LotusEaterMachine they're turned back into young teenagers.
* ImpossibleTask: Fond of forcing these upon people; in his first appearance he demanded the town of Hatton Corners pay him the passenger pigeon feathers he was owed per their agreement with his ancestor when they founded the town and made the teenagers of the town build a giant stone pyramid and expected them to finish the job by the time he was done doing some business elsewhere.
* NeverMyFault: Claims that he was an innocent man who was screwed over by Robin withholding evidence, when he kidnapped the entire teenage population of a town and basically enslaved them.
* StarterVillain: Aqualad, Robin and Kid Flash's battle with Mister Twister would inspire the formation of the the Teen Titans.
* TookALevelInBadass: Was a much bigger threat as Gargoyle than he ever was as Mister Twister.

* CompellingVoice: Can hypnotize and control people by singing a hypnotic song.
* EvilerThanThou: Compared to the other Villains for Hire, and even some of the other bad guys on this page.

----
* AllThereInTheManual: Apparently a master manipulator, though we don't get to actually see too much of her personality other than her rivalry with Miss Martian. Slade's notes (given in a ''Wizard'' magazine article previewing the arc) claim that she reminds him of the original Terra, as well as his daughter Rose.
* ArchEnemy: Of Miss Martian, who she claims will bring doom to the future that she hails from, so she must kill her to prevent it from happening. But she also claims that she and Inertia have also made Miss Martian their slave to torment.
** It's implied that because of whatever Miss Martian did, White Martians in the future were now treated as slaves, and Deborah was more or less Miss Martian's owner.
* EvilRedhead: Red haired and cruel hearted.

[[folder:The Terror Titans]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/terror_titans.jpg]]

The Terror Titans are a team of villainous counterparts to the Teen Titans. Their original membership included legacy versions of Clock King, Copperhead, Disruptor, Dreadbolt, and Persuader. They were assembled by Clock King who uses his powers to manipulate them by promising things they want.
----
* AttentionWhore: Disruptor.
* BeAWhoreToGetYourMan: Disruptor has a psychotic obsession with latching onto the man she believes to be the most powerful or useful for her.
* DaddysGirl: Persuader.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: Originally, no one respected Dreadbolt as leader since he never technically killed anyone.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: Persuader murdered her abusive mother, but genuinely loved her dad.
* {{Foil}}: Persuader serves as one to Ravager, which explains why she was chosen as a member of Superboy-Prime's Legion of Doom.
** They're both legacy characters, Rose being the fourth Ravager and Elise being the third Persuader. However, while Rose is chronologically the fourth Ravager, Elise is technically the first, second, ''and'' third Persuader all at once. She's supposedly an ascendant to the original in the 31st Century, while she's come after Cole Parker of the present, and is the third to be given the mantle after the previous two.
** Both became villains due to their fathers, but for wildly different reasons. Elise went down the path of villainy because her loving father was driven away from her, while Rose was forced to become a villain because her dad ''forced'' his way back into her life, manipulated, and drugged her.
** Elise's mother was an abusive bastard who only kept Elise in her life because she was a dependent and worth money, and drove away Elise's dad before Elise finally killed her as a teenager. Lili Worth kept Rose a secret from Deathstroke, raised Rose, and when she died it absolutely devastated Rose.
** Elise was horrified and driven to despair when Clock King reunited her with her father and then killed him right in front of her. Rose absolutely ''loathes'' her father and wants him dead for all the horrible things he's done.
* LegacyCharacter: They're supposed to be related to the villains whose names they share, but only Dreadbolt is actually related to Bolt. Persuader was told that she's supposedly an ascendant of the first Persuader from the 31st Century, which gets more complicated due to there being a Persuader before her in the 21st Century.
* SelfMadeOrphan: Dreadbolt killed his father.
* TheSociopath: Copperhead eventually realizes he's this, looking back on how he killed his baby brother and was merely forcing himself to go through the motions of loving [=TNTeena=].
* {{Spinoff}}: Actually received their own miniseries.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Originally. That changed when Clock King killed Disruptor and then abandoned them.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Out of all of them, Disruptor.

* WellDoneSonGuy: Dreadbolt, up until he killed his dad.
* WouldHurtAChild: Copperhead allowed his baby brother to drown in a bathtub.

-->''"Resistance is futile to one who is the destroyer of all that exists!"''

Raven's father, Trigon is an interdimensional demon lord (existing in the Azarath dimension) who can only enter the real world through her psyche. Bent on annihilating all life, his plans typically orbit around subverting Raven to his will. He is worshipped by the Church of Blood and their leader Brother Blood.
----
* AbusiveParent: He is a devil after all. His treatment of Raven, and later, his sons, is emotionally manipulative and, when disappointed, outright murderous.
* {{Archenemy}}: To his daughter, Raven. He'd also finish in second place for the team as a whole, since besides Slade, there's nobody the Titans hate more, and there is no one, including Slade, who they fear more.
* ArchnemesisDad: Trigon impregnated Raven's mother by raping her, shattered his daughter's psyche in order to enter the real world, and makes regular attempts to brain control her and murder all of her friends.
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Trigon towered over 75 feet tall in "Terror of Trigon".
* BigBad: Of the first ''New Teen Titans'' story arc; he was the reason Raven assembled the Titans to begin with. He returns in "The Terror of Trigon", and has been the big bad of several other arcs as well. In terms of power and scope he is, generally speaking, the biggest bad the Titans have ever faced.
* BigRedDevil: Classic example.
* TheCorrupter: To Raven, who he then used to corrupt several Titans using his seeds.
* DemonLordsAndArchDevils: Just how much of a demon lord he is depends on the writer, though. Some accounts have him as the demonic master of his very own dimension, while others claim that he's simply the devil of the eighth layer of Hell.
* DemonicPossession: Has done it to Raven and numerous others.
* DependingOnTheArtist: He's a BigRedDevil with ExtraEyes. What his horns look like, what he's wearing, the color and length of his hair, and even, as of the New 52, the number of Extra Eyes he has, tend to differ every time he appears.
* DependingOnTheWriter: The particulars of his and Raven's backstory, usually whether he's a satanic demigod or an actual demon and the circumstances of how he got Arella pregnant.
* TheDreaded: From the perspective of the Titans and the people of Azarath anyway.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: While everyone remembers Trigon as the colossus who turned the world into HellOnEarth in an instant, Trigon was originally perhaps twice as tall as the average human. In his first appearance, he convinced Raven to join him rather than watch her loved ones die and took her to his home planet (populated entirely with slaves) from which acted as a GalacticConqueror. This first episode appears to have been lost down the memory hole, and nowadays all anyone remembers is ComicBook/TheTerrorOfTrigon.
* EmotionEater: Feeds on hate, fear, and other negative emotions.
* EvilIsHammy: No Titans' villain is capable of hamming it up more than Trigon. In "Terror of Trigon" he essentially used the entire planet as a stage from which to monologue.
* ExtraEyes: Has two sets of eyes sitting atop one another. Those he is controlling gain the same trait as a mark of their possession.
* {{Foil}}: To his daughter, drawing power from the very emotions she tries so hard to master and control.
* GodOfEvil: Sees himself as such. Occasionally, so does the narrator.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Trigon himself only appears surprisingly rarely; his narrative presence is felt mostly through his waxing and waning influence on his daughter, Raven.
* HornedHumanoid: Features antlers.
* IHaveManyNames: He's also known as "Skath" and "Ddrez".
* JokerImmunity: He gets defeated and slain several times, but he has become such an iconic villain, the writers usually find a way to bring him back.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Trigon the Terrible.
* OffingTheOffspring: He's willing to kill Raven if she won't swear fealty to him.
* OmnicidalManiac: Annihilated an entire universe in order to keep himself alive, and later tries to do the same to Earth.
* PetTheDog: A ''very'' small one. In ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueDarkApokolipsWar'', he [[spoiler:battles Darkseid while the heroes escape Apokolips]], clearly having fun with it. As Raven is leaving, he thanks her for the "wonderful gift" and wishing her well. It's likely that he merely realized he had nothing to gain from manipulating her, [[spoiler:and it would be the last time he saw her]], so he might just as well wish her a good life.
* PhysicalGod: Trigon is at least in {{ComicBook/Darkseid}}'s realm when it comes to raw power, and may actually be even more powerful, given some of what he did in "Terror of Trigon". Typically, the only way to defeat him is to magically reseal him inside of Raven's mind.
* {{Satan}}: In "Terror of Trigon" he claims to be the inspiration for Satan, though given how much Trigon likes to talk himself up he may well be lying.
* SealedInsideAPersonShapedCan: The only way Trigon can access the real world is via possessing Raven. Most of the time he is sealed within her mind.
* SerialRapist: Has raped ''hundreds'' of women across the centuries in order for them to give birth to his spawn and spread his evil.
* SoProudOfYou: Despite generally only caring about himself and his abuse of them, Trigon is actually impressed and proud of his sons for being as evil as he is when instead of freeing him from his realm, they betray him by stealing what little power he has left for themselves and leave him imprisoned into his realm.
* TookALevelInBadass: In his first appearance he was comparable to Doomsday in power. In his second he was comparable to Darkseid.
* WasOnceAMan: Some versions of his backstory have him as a mutated human or half-fiend who become a demon lord through absorbing all the evil of a dimension.
* WeCanRuleTogether: Him trying this on Raven is almost obligatory in any storyline he appears in.

The Wildebeest was a recurring DiabolicalMastermind who was notable for his fearsome appearance and his striking lack of consistency. During the ''Titans Hunt'' arc, the Wildebeest turned out to be the CollectiveIdentity of the Wildebeest Society.
----
* CatFolk: Wildebeest genetic experiments include creating cat people, but the only successful experiment they've had was X-24, later known as Pantha.
* CollectiveIdentity: Their original M.O. Also somewhat deconstructed: turns out that having an organization where all members are running around in the same costume at all times can make it hard to keep track of each other, such as when Wildebeest VIII switches identities with Wildebeest IX after killing the latter.
* GeniusBruiser: Each Wildebeest can go toe-to-toe with Cyborg and Starfire easily.
* NamesTheSame: This villain is not the first to use the name in DC Comics, but it was notably re-used by the same author. Marv Wolfman's first "Wildebeest" was a one-off supervillain, a costumed hunter from ''Dial H for Hero''.
* NeverRecycleYourSchemes: Invoked; the Wildebeest made sure never to do the same thing twice so as to avoid a consistent M.O. During his first appearance, he even alternates between using PoweredArmor and remotely-piloted robots.
* NoSell: The Wildebeest has special electronic eyes that rejected Jericho's ability to possess people through eye contact.
* {{Retcon}}: The original Wildebeest was a DiabolicalMastermind and GeniusBruiser of no certain identity or motive who enacted a number of evil schemes that involved screwing around with the Titans -- making him an inadvertent predecessor to the animated version of Slade -- starting with framing Starfire for a murder of his own and branching out into things like reprogramming Cyborg to make him run around in a Wildebeest suit. Then ''Titans Hunt'' happened and the Wildebeest became the Wildebeest Society.
* PoweredArmor: The Wildebeest exo-suits.
* TheRemnant: Most of those recruited by the original Wildebeest leader were former H.I.V.E. agents who believed their main goal was [[AvengingTheVillain to take vengeance for H.I.V.E.]]

* EvilCounterpart: To Starfire.
* SiblingRivalry: With Starfire.

->'''AKA:''' Sebastian Blood IX

->'''AKA:''' Jade Nguyen

* ArchEnemy:
* TheResenter:

[[quoteright:264:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cinder_001.jpg]]
->'''AKA:''' Carla Moretti

His obsession with Rose Wilson, his amoral manipulations, his fake Titans team, and his sexual relationship with an underage, sociopathic teenage girl are all things Slade Wilson's done.

->'''AKA:''' Slade Wilson

Gizmo created a corporation which supplied technology to various people, including criminals. Hoping to increase his wealth, Gizmo joined the Fearsome Five through an ad placed in the ''Underworld Star'', a criminal underground newsletter, by the psychopathic criminal Doctor Light.

----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Cyborg.
-->'''Godiva''': Yeah, I really am.

* FadSuper: Was an attempt to create a villain based on the vogue for Goth/Emo music (the writers did not seem to understand the difference) similar to 1960s Titans {{Fad Super}}s like the Mad Mod. He is about an accurate depiction of the genre as the Mad Mod was. His earlier guises (Limbo, Grunge, and Rave) also represent earlier popular music genres.

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: He wants his organization to be this. However, he himself looks like the GrimReaper in a TronLines suit.

The son of a pair of missionaries who were killed when he was very young, Kid Crusader believed their murders to the be the work of Satan and swore to rid the world of demons. Some time later Kid Devil showed up at his Sunday school seeking help. Upon seeing Kid Devil's demonic appearance Kid Crusader felt that he had to "save" him.
* KarmicTransformation: While attempting to exorcise Kid Devil, he drew Kid Devil's demonic essence into himself and was transformed into a demon, and had to be saved by Kid Devil.
* LightningGun: Wields a cross that can shoot electricity.
* MasterSwordsman: Carries a longsword that he definitely knows how to use.
* VanHelsingHateCrimes: Seeks to destroy Kid Devil despite overwhelming evidence that Kid Devil is better than his demonic nature, and Kid Devil even having saved his soul.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: His quest to rid the world of demons is a noble one. That he is willing to ally himself with supervillains to do this, and shows remorse regarding their crimes (which include murder), indicates he believes the ends justify the means.

->'''AKA:''' Bromwell Stikk

----
* AbortedArc: There was a plan for Cinder to find Nursery Cryme again after he escaped, but the series was cancelled before that happened.
* CompellingVoice: Can hypnotize and control people by singing a hypnotic song.
* EvilerThanThou: Compared to the other Villains for Hire, and even some of the other bad guys on this page.
* HarmfulToMinors: A chronic, unrepentant child rapist.
* KarmaHoudini: Escapes from Arkham with no repercussions, and since the series ended before Cinder found him again, it meant he was never punished for presumably raping more children.
* NoodleIncident: It's implied he had a past run-in with Cinder since she was especially fixated on killing him when the team arrived at Arkham, and he even knew her real name.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Was never mentioned before his first appearance in ''Titans'' yet presumably had a history in Gotham City and with Batman.

After being defeated by ComicBook/GreenLantern, he started a new life as a scientist for Dayton Industries. However, when the company developed the self-generating power source known as Promethium, the temptation was too much for him. Through his robot puppets, the Puppeteer took control of Cyborg, Kid Flash, Starfire, and Wonder Girl and turned them against their teammates. Raven's soul-self was finally able to break their trance and the Titans united to battle the Puppeteer and his toy robotic army. ----
* AllThereInTheManual: Apparently a master manipulator, though we don't get to actually see too much of her personality other than her rivalry with Miss Martian.
* LegacyCharacter: Her real name and super-villain name suggest a connection with Dirk Morgna (Sun Boy from ''ComicBook/LegionOfSuperHeroes'') in some way.
* PlayingWithFire: Can harness the very power of the sun to supply her with fire and heat.

----
* AttentionWhore: Disruptor.
* BeAWhoreToGetYourMan: Disruptor has a psychotic obsession with latching onto the man she believes to be the most powerful or useful for her.
* DaddysGirl: Persuader.
* TheVamp: Disruptor tries to be this.
* WellDoneSonGuy: Dreadbolt, up until he killed his dad.
* WouldHurtAChild: Copperhead allowed his baby brother to drown in a bathtub.

Trident is a name used by several super-villains. The original three were former H.I.V.E. agents who struck out on their own, each using the same costume to appear as though they were one person. This included the Prof who designed their weapon, an unnamed black man who used to fight in the Golden Gloves, and an enforcer named Sammy Jaye. Sammy was murdered by the other two for holding out on them, and their ruse was discovered when the Titans tracked them down and arrested them. [[quoteright:400:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b1f01f1e2b321eb0343f7d576aa64db2.jpg]]

* BigRedDevil: Classic example.
* HornedHumanoid: Features antlers.
* IHaveManyNames: He's also known as "Skath" and "Ddrez".
* JokerImmunity: He gets defeated and slain several times, but he has become such an iconic villain, the writers usually find a way to bring him back.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Trigon the Terrible.

[[folder:The Wildebeest Society]]
[[quoteright:269:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wildebeest_society.jpg]]

* PoweredArmor: The Wildebeest exo-suits.
* TheRemnant: Most of those recruited by the original Wildebeest leader were former H.I.V.E. agents who believed their main goal was [[AvengingTheVillain to take vengeance for H.I.V.E.]]
