*TheApunkalypse: The DeathWorld aspect of Meridia was so terrifying that early settlers who broke instead of dying would up becoming bands of psychotic raiders and cannibalistic reavers who live to pillage, torture, violate, butcher and destroy everyone and everything they encounter, even their once-fellow colonists. They are still a problem in present day, where they threaten travel and civilization from their Meridian Routback territories.
