Not only that, there's the fact that everything she did under Britannia was for the purpose of attaining nobility, and that aside from [[PetTheDog her affection for Ohgi]], she never truly grew as a person.]]

* EvenEvilHasStandards: He's not exactly evil, per se; just on the bad guy's side. He's a very good man (one of the few truly non-racist characters) who has been shown to defend and uphold Suzaku's dignity and actions, treats Princess Euphemia's ideas with respect, and generally treats his subordinates and commanders alike with respect and affability.

* PragmaticVillainy: Though as mentioned he's less a villain than just on the antagonist side, but regardless Dalton is one of the few high ranking Britannian officers that thinks their policy of discrimination towards non Britannian's is a waste of valuable talent and resources they should be putting for use to the Empire. After witnessing Suzaku's daring rescue of Cornelia (who never would have been given the chance if Euphemia didn't overrule the general in charge of deploying reinforncements) he immediately starts pushing for the Lancelot to be integrated into the regular forces as he finds ignoring such a useful pilot and unit due to racism is a huge waste of resources. When Suzaku saves Cornelia again, the rest of the military is forced to conceed that he's right.

* KarmaHoudini: Despite being being complicit in [[spoiler:aiding Lelouch and being in on the Zero Requiem]], he just retires as an [[BrickJoke orange farmer]] at the end of the series, seemingly without any repercussion. He is however absent at Ohgi and Viletta's wedding, for some reason.
** He also never really faces much consequences for his previous role as a merciless enforcer of [[ANaziByAnyOtherName (and fervent believer in)]] the Empire's brutal, racist oppression of the Elevens, and for the many genocidal massacres he directly aided.
* LargeHam: Even in a WorldOfHam, Jeremiah is by far the most hammy. In the first season's finale, his mecha literally chews the scenery's ground as he screams '''"ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!!!"''' In R2, he has mellowed down a bit, but he's still quite hammy, especially [[spoiler:in the Second Battle of Tokyo when he fires off his [[MemeticMutation STORM OF LOYALTY]]]].

** Kallen and Suzaku are the respective aces for their factions, but Suzaku is a naive idealist who gets minimal respect from Britannia while Kallen is a more cynical fighter and is afford more respect by her peers.

* CelibateEccentricGenius: Very smart, very quirky, and has no interest in the opposite or the same sex.

Cécile Croomy is Lloyd's subordinate in Camelot and one of the Lancelot's developers. She is a capable scientist in her own right, having designed the Energy Wing system used on the Guren Seiten and the Lancelot Albion. Cécile is a kind-hearted woman and a good friend to Suzaku, often helping him with homework. She also acts as Lloyd's conscience, scolding him for his unintentionally rude remarks or for treating Suzaku as a "part" for his Mechas. A recurring joke is that Cécile is a bad cook, though no one has the heart to tell her. It seems to be implied in one of the picture dramas that Cécile is in love with Suzaku and that a former love of hers died in battle.

* MrsRobinson: Although not stated explicitly in the Anime, Cécile does indeed have strong feelings for Suzaku. Despite the age gap, Cécile confides to C.C. that she loves Suzaku in [[http://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Turn_22.05 Turn 22.05]] of the R2 Picture Dramas, mentioning that this is true "if we go by the definition of love."

* BookEnds: In R2 Turn 13, Jeremiah intrudes Ashford Academy with intent to kill Lelouch and anyone who gets in his way. In post-R2 picture drama Turn 25.01, Jeremiah visits the school with Anya one last time to carry out Lelouch's final order and asks Anya if she wants to stay to attend Ashford.

* ManlyTears: [[spoiler:He cries in joy (TearsOfBlood included, in a sense) when he goes under his HeelFaceTurn and joins Lelouch. And before this, he cries in the Picture Dramas when explaining his backstory to his subordinate Villetta Nu.]]

** In post-R2 picture drama Turn 25.01, though it's never explicitly stated, it's quite obvious that he's lonely. At the end, however, he asks Anya if she wants to stay at Ashford, even though this would mean that he would be alone. Not only did he visit Ashford Academy to carry out Lelouch's last order, but also give Anya a chance at having a normal life. Anya seems to catch on, as she turns it down and chooses to stay with him, citing that she has memories of Ashford to stay with.

* SocialClimber: Desires to attain true nobility not satisified with being a mere Knight of Honor so she joins Margrave Jeremiah's faction in hopes of one day attaining it.[[note]]One of the Picture Dramas indicates she’s doing this because she wants to secure a better future for her brothers, [[CanonDiscontinuity but this seems to have been ignored by even the show writers]], who instead have her motives as being purely selfish.[[/note]]

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The same Picture Drama that talks about Jeremiah's devotion to Marianne mentions that her main motivation is taking care of her younger brothers; they're never mentioned after this, and she switches over to purely selfish motives.

* UpperClassTwit: Kallen [[LampshadeHanging hangs a lamp]] over this in the final picture drama. Luciano also addresses him as such.

* UndyingLoyalty: To Charles zi Britannia, so much so she became the head of his Royal Guard. After Lelouch's ascension as Britannian Emperor, she joined the coup against Lelouch solely due to Lelouch killing his father, [[spoiler: which lead to her death]].

* PetTheDog: In an audio drama, she's part of the group encouraging Jeremiah to thank Suzaku for saving his life in Stage 5.

* DistaffCounterpart: Serves as one to both Suzaku and Kallen.
** Like Suzaku, Oldrin also is the knight of a princess ([[OnlySevenFaces who looks remarkably like Euphemia]]) [[BodyguardCrush she has affections for]], pilots a SuperPrototype called Lancelot, and is motivated to protect the common citizenry. She’s basically Suzaku without all the guilt and emotional baggage [[spoiler: from murdering his father]], and never had to face Britannian prejudice due to being a privileged noble instead of a second-class Number like him.
** Like Kallen, all the Knightmares she pilots are primarily [[RedIsHeroic red in color]], and is the right hand of a Britannia Royal whose motivated by revenge against a past tragedy whom she is heavily implied to have an attraction towards. But while Kallen is a half-blooded noble who despises her Britannian heritage and always lived in a war torn Area, Oldrin is a full-blooded Britannian who largely grew up in the mainland, and is rather ignorant and naive on why the people of conquered Areas would resort to terroristic rebellion, [[spoiler: until her exposure to their plight causes her to join one]].

** Like Suzaku, Oldrin also is the knight of a princess ([[OnlySevenFaces who looks remarkably like Euphemia]]) [[BodyguardCrush she has affections for]], pilots a SuperPrototype called Lancelot, and is motivated to protect the common citizenry. She’s basically Suzaku without all the guilt and emotional baggage [[spoiler: from murdering his father]].

And despite the heavily implied attraction between her and Marrybell, they end up on opposite sides when the latter starts to become more ruthless in her goals. The only main difference between Oldrin and Kallen, is that Kallen is a LoveMartyr who would have thrown everything away for even a hint of Lelouch returning her feelings (which is why he deliberately didn’t), while Oldrin chose her principles over Marrybell despite how much it hurt.

* {{Bishonen}}: Even in a series packed to the brim with beautiful people, Gino stands out (literally thanks to the bonus of being so tall), at least going by the reaction he gets from most girls.

* DeathByIrony: His sick devotion to Brittannia pretty much led to him and his soldiers killing themselves under the orders of (former) royalty.

* HateSink: He's an absolutely loathsome man who's main purpose is to tip Lelouch's hatred for the Brittanian Empire past the tipping point.

* SmallNameBigEgo: He thinks he's some big-shot whose orders should be followed to the letter with even the slight show of disobedience deserving of execution just because he's a commander, yet it's clear that he's on the bottom-tier in terms of threat and rank. Lelouch is quick to put him in his place once he gets his Geass, and even the rest of the Brittanian military defy him by saving Suzaku's life (not that he lives to see it).

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Luciano is viciously prejudiced against the Japanese, even by Brittanian standards and utterly delights in the chance to kill them during the assault on Japan out of a chance to sate his racism and bloodlust.

* SecretIdentityVocalShift: An unconscious version. Her amnesiac self has a noticeably higher-pitched speaking tone than her normal voice, contrasting her usual ContraltoOfDanger.
