* TheChessMaster: his treatment of Warren bears more than a few hallmarks of this trope, much to Cassidy's disgust.

* NervesOfSteel: isn't in the least fazed by a furious Sean Cassidy, despite knowing exactly how dangerous the man is and admitting that Cassidy is 'a scary, scary man'. This has something to do with the attitude he expresses immediately afterwards: namely, that he died thirteen or so years ago [[spoiler: when he and Fury faked his death when he was switching sides]] and that everything thereafter, every chance to undo the evil he helped create, is simply a bonus.

* TokenEvilTeamMate: even including Loki and Fury, he's by far the most ruthless and at times, downright amoral, of the good guys.

* BirdsOfAFeather: snarky, disrespectful towards authority, with ChronicHeroSyndrome and a love for flying? You could just as easily be describing his niece.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: chapter 75 subtly implies that he lost his son roughly the same way as his canon counterpart.

* PapaWolf: when Ross expresses interest in getting Carol, his niece, in for testing, he makes it very clear that it will be over the other man's rotting corpse.
