For a science project, Melvin is given a hyper intelligent chimp named 'Edwin' whom he trains to perform various intelligence themed challenges without properly rewarding him for his efforts. [[spoiler: This bites him in the butt at the end where Edwin forfeits the first place ribbon Melvin ''supposedly'' won and gives it to George and Harold for their own project]].

* EnemyMine: [[spoiler: In the season 2 finale, after learning that George and Harold aren't interested in Elitenati Academy and only want to go to summer camp, Melvin decides to stop antagonizing them for the rest of the finale and decides to help them defeat the out of control nanobots and his future self]].

* ArcVillain: He arguably fits this role in the first season of the animated series as every catastrophic event, along with several of the [[MonsterOfTheWeek villains of the week]], can be traced back to his inventions, his selfish desires, or ''both''. [[spoiler: Considering the season finale/WhamEpisode of him and his future self getting rid of George, Harold and Mr. Krupp and taking over the school, he may just continue the role in season 2]].

* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: In episode 7 of the animated series, it’s revealed that he’s terrified of {{Chupacabra}}.

* TheAce: Based on Melvin's account, she's one of the top students at Jerome Horwitz and is involved in various clubs along with being president of several of them. Based on George and Harold's account, they think of her as being on a whole different level of cool. They even describe her as Batman but [[TakeThat without the angry grumbling]].

** In book 3, their pranks influence the lunch ladies ([[TokenGoodTeammate who aren't actually jerks to the children]]) to resign. So Mr. Krupp punishes them by not allowing them to eat school lunch and making them sit in his office.

* KarmaHoudini: Before George and Harold started pranking them, they would get away with tormenting kindergartners because Mr. Krupp allowed them to.
* LaserGuidedKarma: They did, however, fall victim to George & Harold's pranks.

* TeensAreMonsters: They're sixth graders who take pleasure in bullying younger kids.

* VillainousGlutton: They intimidate a pizza delivery guy into giving them the pizza that "Wedgie Magee" bought for the kindergartners and [[KickTheDog gleefully eat it all in front of them.]] George and Harold take advantage of this and trick them into eating pizza with [[BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce double ghost chili peppers]] on each slice.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Bugg, Loogie and Finkstein find it hilarious when Kipper becomes the target of several pranks by "Wedgie Magee". They stop thinking it's funny when weird things start happening to ''them.''

The children that attend the same school as George and Harold who were [[CanonForeigner introduced in the animated series]]. They each have their own quirky personalities that help round out the cast and make school life at Jerome Horwitz more interesting.

* {{Main/Tritagonist}}: Arguably the most prominent character in the series after the boys as she often plays a role in their adventures and [[spoiler: is implied to be more than what she appears to be]].

* DidYouJustFlippOffCthulhu: She threw a dodgeball directly at Krupp's face to keep him from taking her comic book and faced no consequences for it.

* {{Nice Guy}}s: Despite them being {{designated hero}}es at times, they are genuinely good kids. This is amped up in the movie, as they are shown to be popular amongst their peers (except [[TheStoolPigeon Melvin]] [[InsufferableGenius Sneedly]], of course).

* StarterVillain: In the cartoon, he's the first villain the boys face under the alter ego ''Flabby Flabulous'', which is ironic considering that he's the final villain in the book series.
