Videos of her beatboxing in her youth skyrocketed her to fame. To maintain her popularity, she adopted a character of sorts and added oversexual mannerisms for intentional controversy, which have made her a constant target of the paparazzi. Her policy is that any attention is good attention.

Astronomers Mr. and Mrs. Sterling were lovingly proud of their little girl, Elara Sterling, and she in turn always shared their interest in outer space. Looking up at the stars every night caused little Elara to wonder what the stars were made of, and from there, unlike her parents who studied the movements of space, she wondered what made the stars tick and planets behave as they did. She began attending astrophysics conventions; the astrophysicists, thrilled to have a cute little girl take an interest in their field, unofficially adopted her as their “mascot”. Then, on the best and the worst day in Elara Sterling’s life, she pointed out an error in a scientist’s theory and discovered a brand new solar system, thus earning her Super High-School Level title of SHSL Astrophysicist…right on the same day that she suffered the worst tragedy of her life. Despite this, Elara announced to the scientific community that she would head off to Hope’s Peak with her head held high and move forward, and continues to say little on the matter other than that, refusing even to reveal what happened to her that day unless specifically asked.

Eri was quite the new face in his talent’s originally small community, only appearing about two years ago, but despite this he has quickly risen to the top. He started with an anonymous blog of puzzles of his own creation and earned some fans. Some started sending him puzzles for him to solve. There didn’t seem to be a solvable puzzle he couldn’t put together. Only a year ago he revealed himself to the public. His reveal went quite viral over the web and only helped make him even more popular. The puzzle community also grew in large thanks to him. First only really acknowledged as puzzle game fans or those rubik’s cube fanatics, now an entire new breed of puzzlers are coming out. After the recent string of gang activity amongst school wide areas, Nishimura Academy’s direct intervention has caused the stalemate between delinquents and authorities to shift into a radical victory. Utilizing her school’s sanctioned disciplinary committee under a tactical leadership did Harumi Anezaki earn the name ‘Commander General’ during the elected period of disciplinary action against misconducting juveniles. With her prowess and dedication for public safety, her selection into Hope’s Peak Academy was nearly expected upon being awarded by the Local Police, along with the rest of her committee, as ‘Outstanding Youth Activism’, celebrated on National Television for their feats. If your talent includes Enthusiast in the title, it’s not hard to assume that the person itself is a pretty enthusiastic fellow. As soon as you speak about the Sengoku period, you will have to deal with the very passionate Kazumi, a girl who appreciates everything that is somehow tied to this particular time of Japanese History – even if some contributions like games and books take liberties with their portrayal. She became invested in this era after hearing about it in her history class and since then, is completely encaptured by it. Her collection of Sengoku-related items is astounding, having even some real documents and the likes in her possession, one of them being a pile of old books that describe some facts that weren’t known until then. Coupled with her incredible knowledge about the Sengoku period, this earned her an invitation of the highly-esteemed Hope’s Peak Academy.

An enthusiastic student and nature-lover, Atohi emerged as leading herbal practitioner in his field with his invitation to Hope’s Peak, besting modern medicines and technological advances with natural remedies and personal resolve. His technique, complex procedures, and ability to work with even the simplest of plants have alleviated countless illnesses thought to be incurable, and have dumbfounded doctors and scientists worldwide. Many have claimed the herbalists’ skills to be faked; an accusation the good-natured herbalist laughs off, proving even the most avid of skeptics wrong time and time again. Living most of his life on a reservation, Atohi’s recruitment has opened a wide door of opportunities for the aspiring herbalist, one he plans to take full advantage of.

From the time she was a young as six years old, Chiasa has been ice skating. Over the years she’s been in competitions for all different sorts of things, speed skating, figure skating, everything she could possibly do, and she’s won almost every single time. She’s won countless competitions throughout her entire life, and thanks to her parents constant bragging about it every chance they get wherever they go, it’s a rather well known fact. But a talent like this doesn’t come naturally of course; she spent her whole life training at the insistence of her parents. So much of her life, in fact, that it’s all she’s ever done. She was isolated her whole life from other people her own age, made to only ever practice and compete to earn her title. Due to this her social skills, assuming there ever had been any in the first place, have been worn away completely. It’s rare to see her express much emotion, in fact you probably won’t be able to tell how she feels until she acts on it.

With his acceptance to Hope’s Peak being somewhat ground shaking, he has excelled in geology, evident in the medals he’s won within the International Science Olympiads. His knowledge of geology spreads from the formation of the three main rock types, to the theory of plate tectonics, as well as being able to identify most minerals easily with less than three methods. He’s known to be very divergent of others whenever in public, often showing signs of being a bit erratic at times, but nothing else is known about this intrusive person’s personal life other than that.

Lights! Camera! Action! Johannes, the makeup artist, is on the scene! At age 8, he was doing his mother’s makeup after she’d noticed his prolific talent. By age 13, many people admired his work among the adults and teenagers in his school, and he set multiple trends with his more creative stylings, posted over the internet. Around this time, he also picked up popularity in certain circuits for his ability to make a definedly male face look female, and, to a lesser extent, the other way around. His skills only improved with age, and Johannes is skilled at applying makeup in just the right way to create an interesting look. He’s well known for his ability to bring out someone’s personality through their face and the proper application of makeup, and has been hired to work as a makeup technician for movies and theater preformances in the past

His fame stayed with him when he moved to Japan for his father’s work and has had the pleasure of writing various lyrics and even full songs for some of the hottest musical artists in Japan today. His work and popularity caught the attention of Hope’s Peak Academy and before long he scored himself an invite to the prestigious institution.

He is in every online game’s top 100 players, ExusVal, or as most people refer to him, just Exus. There is no MMORPG that he did not play and endgame, collected the most prized armors, weapons and skills for each class, for each race of every game. Some might say he is a mysterious character that shows up briefly and conquers in a few hours, mercilessly crushing enemies on his path— while others who actually spoke to him say he is a very generous, fair-play and overall incredibly strong player. That though, is what he is in the virtual world; as for the real world… He is the same, without the incredible magical and physical strengths. If reality is so accepting, then why it is I, a self-proclaimed warrior. Choko began dancing as a toddler, loving the way her body moved and the art of performance. While becoming a dancer never quite took off, her skill at acrobatics, her drive for something exciting, and her skill with gymnastics saw her led into an unusual talent - silk aerials. Her natural bright and buoyant personality saw that her aerials were filled with joy and hope, and drew the attention of everyone for her skill at such a young age. While a devastating incident drew her out of the public’s eye for a few years, she returned with a vengeance, with an air of maturity and rawness of emotions to her performances that showed that no matter what had happened, she decided that she wasn’t giving up on her favorite style of performance yet. After performing with the renowned circus and acrobatic troupe ‘Cirque Du Soleil’, she was cemented in the public’s eye as an extraordinary silk aerialist, who went on to perform in some international shows before being scouted for Hope’s Peak Academy at the start of her high school years.
