In her artwork, descriptions, dialogue lines, and during the "Ideal City" story event, Gavial's new axe is treated as being her primary weapon, with her chainsaw being downplayed when it's mentioned/depicted at all. In-game, Gavial only actually uses the axe while her second skill is active, while the rest of the time she attacks with the chainsaw.
