An ancient noble house of Drone that has long been rivals with House Martell. They are seated at Yronwood, which sits at the mouth of the Boneway, one of the few mountain passes leading into Drone. Its current head is Lord Anders Yronwood, Lord of Yronwood, The Bloodroyal, and Warden of Stone Way. The tense relationship between House Yronwood and House Martell nearly caused a war when Oberyn Martell killed Lord Edgar Yronwood in a duel in 274AL, but the two Houses became close allies after Prince Doran Martell sent his son Quentyn Martell to Yronwood as a ward, where he grew close to the family and was even knighted by Lord Anders.
