->''"Fabulous is the only word to describe the Hudson Hornet."''
-->--'''Creator/JayLeno''', ''Jay Leno's Garage''

''The'' Fabulous Hudson Hornet.

To kickstart TheFifties, the Hudson Motor Car Company released its full size automobile called the Hudson Hornet, introduced for the 1951 model year, based on its step-down design last seen in the 1948 Hudson Commodore. The Hornet was available in either a 2-door coupe, a 4-door sedan, a convertible or a hardtop. It's powered by 5.0 L "H-146" inline-6 engine, bored and stroked with high-chromium-alloy block and other high-end features to increase the engine's displacement.

Though its production for the Hornet was short lived under the Hudson name, produced in under three years up until 1954, the Hornet itself continued production under the name American Motors Corporation (AMC), following Hudson's and Nash-Kelvinatior's merge.

The Hornet grew fame in UsefulNotes/{{NASCAR}}, becoming one of the most dominant stock cars of TheFifties featuring the "PowerTrio" of the "Fabulous Hudson Hornet"; Marshall Teague, who won 5 NASCAR Grand National races in 1951, Herb Thomas, who won the 1951 NASCAR Grand National championship with this car, and Tim Flock, who won the 1952 Grand National Championship. Despite its twilight from its competitiveness from Ford and Chevrolet, the Hudson Hornet forever forged a legacy, especially the anthropomorphic race car Doc Hudson, depicted in the 2006 Creator/{{Pixar}} movie, ''WesternAnimation/Cars1''.
----
[[AC:Film -- Animation]]
* If there is a Hudson Hornet that is the most recognizable amongst all, then YourAnswerToEverything is none other than the fabulous [[LivingLegend Doc Hudson]] of ''Franchise/{{Cars}}''. He's a legendary dark blue 1951 Hudson Hornet who acts as a ReasonableAuthorityFigure of Radiator Springs and a [[ParentalSubstitute paternal figure]] to Lightning [=McQueen=]. [[spoiler:Doc himself is a racer with a very successful career with three consecutive Piston Cups under his belt, [[CareerEndingInjury until a near-death wreck in '54 costed him his career]]. But when he returns, Doc was ratted out by his sponsors in favor for a new rookie. [[AC:Film -- Live Action]]
* The beginning of ''Film/TheIrishman'' has the Irish-American mob hitman Frank Sheeran emerging down the mean streets of Philadelphia with his beautiful black 1951 Hudson Hornet sedan.
* Creator/BrendanFraser's character at the beginning of ''Film/NoSuddenMove'' used a Hornet, being one of the cars of catalytic converter scandal during TheFifties, where the trend and racism are rampant.
* The classic four-door "Pink Pig" Hornet, driven by the titular character of ''Film/{{Porkys}}''.
* Given TheFifties setting, ''Film/TheVastOfNight'' is the car used to go through the strange goings-on in a small Southwest town in UsefulNotes/NewMexico.
[[AC:Live-Action TV]]
* Keith Partridge, the lead vocalist of ''Series/ThePartridgeFamily'' during "Partridge Up a Pear Tree" buys a new, albeit junky Hudson Hornet, and attempts to ResurrectTheWreck, if only he can manage the tight budget {{cap}} Danny has imposed in time to show up in the prom in style.
[[AC:Video Games]]
* The Hudson Hornet appears as one of the four delivery that needed to be [[DrivingIntoATruck driven into a truck]], during the "Special Delivery" challenge of ''VideoGame/DriverSanFrancisco''.
* It made its sole appearance in ''VideoGame/ForzaMotorsport 4'' as part of the [[{{DLC}} July Car Pack]] of 2012. The car made an unexpected return in ''Horizon 4''. Fans won't mind recreating that Fabulous Hudson Hornet race car.
* Invoking a [[RetroUniverse retro-futuristic setting]], the police cars of ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto2'' would use something out of TheForties and TheFifties, and that being said, it's loosely based on the Hudson Hornet, due to its split windows.

While Hummers have been widely known for their big bodies, capable on driving on rugged roads of different terrain, they're infamous for their extremely heavy weight, low fuel efficiency, poor safety standards, and its very high price tag which would impact the environment such as [[PollutedWasteland pollution and poor emissions]]. Following the end of UsefulNotes/TheGulfWar, famous Hollywood actor Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger promoted the Humvee and advocated AM General to build their models intended for civilian use. The H1 is powered by a 6.2 L GM Diesel V8, and was offered in either a soft-top, a four-door SUT (Sport Utility Truck) pickup, or an Enclosed SUV in later models. It's implied the Hummer H1 was never sold outside of the UsefulNotes/UnitedStated, who barred foreign governments and markets in owning one. This would also begin the deal with General Motors, who bough the marketing rights to the brand before the TurnOfTheMillennium. The H1 continued production until 2006, with about 12,000 units produced.

The E-Type Hummer was first founded in 1992 when AM General began selling a version of their Humvees for civilian use.

The H1 continued production until 2006, with about 12,000 units produced.

Though during the H1's production lifespan, General Motors announced the new '''Hummer H2''' in 2002. Differentiating from its original Hummer, the H2 is based on GM's existing platform used for the Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon. Its model feature numerous accessories such as cruise control, various auxiliaries like DVD player, 6-disc CD player, BOSE sound system and 8-way power front seats. These led to famous celebrities to own a Hummer due to its stylistic features, such as Music/BritneySpears, Music/{{Eminem}}, Music/DrDre, Music/FiftyCent and UsefulNotes/LeBronJames. Like the H1, the H2 is
offered in either a 3.8L 5-door SUV or SUT. Production stopped in 2009 with over 150,000 units produced.

In 2005, Hummer offered its smallest version
of the lineup called the '''Hummer H3''', built from the Chevrolet Colorado platform. BreakingOldTrends from the previous two models, it uses a 4.2L XK inline-6 engine, boasting 265 horsepower more practical 3.5 L inline-5 L52 engine producing 220 hp, though optional variants offer a 300 hp 5.3 L [=LH8=] V8. Its 4-door SUT pickup is instead renamed as the Hummer [=H3T=]. The H3 features driving aids that meet safety standards, such as ABS and ESC. Production ended in 2010 with 160,000 units made.

The XK is Jaguar's series of 2+2 grand tourers first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996, available both in hatchback coupé or in convertible body styles.

Replacing the then aging XJS, the first generation XK (under the X100 designation) was [[MarketBasedTitle marketed as the [=XK8=]]] which it was derived from its stylish [=XJ41/XJ42=] concept from 1986, and it would be its first V8-powered model since the Daimler 250... which is technically a Jaguar. The [=XK8=], alongside the more powerful XKR are powered by Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine and fitted with 1.8 L supercharger from Eation, shared with the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup.

In 2005, a newly updated and fully redesigned iteration of the XK (now under the X150 designation) was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor show, styled by Ian Callum, the same designer who did the Aston Martin [=DB7=] and [=DB9=]. While it uses a brand-new aluminium monocoque chassis, one of the notable features of this facelift is its new grille that was a CallBack to the original 1961 E-Type. Just like the previous iteration, a high performance XKR was also introduced during the unveiling, but also offered an even more powerful version introduced in 2011 dubbed the XKR-S with an uprated engine, supercharger and fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires, as well as a limited edition track-oriented variant in 2013 called the XKR-S GT.

The XK series ended their production in 2014 with their limited farewell edition called the XK Final Fifty. [[MeaningfulName As the name implies]], it's limited to only 50 units. The XK was replaced by the Jaguar F-Type.

[=DB5=], considered to be a cult of the UsefulNotes/UnitedKingdom.

The XK is Jaguar's series of 2+2 grand tourers first introduced at Jaguar E-Type, or if you live in the Geneva Motor Show in 1996, available both in hatchback coupé or in convertible body styles.

Replacing
US, it's the then aging XJS, the first generation XK (under the X100 designation) was [[MarketBasedTitle marketed as the [=XK8=]]] which it Jaguar XK-E]] is a British sports tourer introduced in 1961. The E-Type offered in either a two-seater coupé (Fixed Head Coupé) or a two-seater roadster (Open Two Seater). 5 years later after its initial introduction, in 1966, a 2+2 four-seater coupé was derived from its stylish [=XJ41/XJ42=] concept from 1986, and it would be its first V8-powered model since the Daimler 250... which is technically a Jaguar. Its body design bares similarities to the aforementioned [=DB7=] due to the car sharing the same platform. The [=XK8=], alongside the more powerful XKR are powered by Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine and fitted releases, with 1.8 L supercharger from Eation, shared with a lengthened wheelbase. Later models include the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup.

In 2005, a newly
updated "Series 2" and fully redesigned iteration of the XK (now under the X150 designation) was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor show, styled by Ian Callum, the same designer who did the Aston Martin [=DB7=] and [=DB9=]. While it uses a brand-new aluminium monocoque chassis, one of the notable features of this facelift is its new grille that was a CallBack to "Series 3", referring the original 1961 E-Type. Just like model as the previous iteration, a high performance XKR was also introduced during the unveiling, but also "Series 1". It's offered an even more powerful version introduced in 2011 dubbed either a 3.8L of a 4.2L XK inline-6 engine, boasting 265 horsepower and capable of reaching 150 mph (241 km/h), where the XKR-S Series 3 E-Type exchanges it for a 272 hp 5.3L V12 engine.

A limited edition E-Type Lightweight is an evolution of the low drag coupé, taking advantage of its aluminum alloy metal in body panels and components,
with an uprated engine, supercharger 300 hp, and fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires, as well as a limited edition track-oriented variant Weber carburettors. This would be eventually used in 2013 called the XKR-S GT.

The XK series ended their production in 2014 with their limited farewell edition called the XK Final Fifty. [[MeaningfulName As the name implies]], it's limited to only 50 units. The XK was replaced

-->--'''Creator/RichardHammond'''

After UsefulNotes/WorldWarII ended with Jaguar finally returning in production, with its Mark IV already underway. It was a perfect time also for them to finally produce a sports car follow the pre-war SS 100.

Jaguar launches an open-top two-seater sports roadster during the London Motor Show in 1948. Designed by the late William Heynes, the new sports car is named the '''[=XK120=]''', [[MeaningfulName where its name refers to its new XK inline-6 engine, and its top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h)]]. The first car was delivered to renowned American actor, Creator/ClarkGable. Though originally an open two-seater, the [=XK120=] is also offered in coupé form, whether a fixed head or a drophead.

A more upgraded version of the [=XK120=] was introduced in 1954, now called the '''[=XK140=]''', available in open-top roadster, convertible or coupé. Differentiating from its predecessor is its improved brakes, rack and pinion steering, a larger interior space, and highly upraded suspensions and shocks. The "140" in the moniker is implied to be in regard of the "142 [=kW=]" gross standard. Its distinctive emblem located on the boot lid contained the words "Winner Le Mans 1951–3" is a CallBack to is glorious years when its Jaguar C-Types has dominated the UsefulNotes/TwentyFourHoursOfLeMans in 1951 and 1953 respectively.

In 1957, its [[RuleOfThree third]] revised and final iteration of the XK roadsters called the '''[=XK150=]''' is unveiled, initially only available in either a fixed head or drophead coupé where both have added rear seats, though an open-top roadsters were released the following year, as the [=XK150=] OTS. It was also the most powerful iteration amongst all the three, with its highest end model, the [=XK150S=], produce 265 hp and reach 135 mph (217 km/h).

The XK roadsters ended in 1961 and was succeeded by the Jaguar E-Type, though the XK name was revived in 1996 as a grand tourer. See the folder above for more info.

The XK is Jaguar's series of 2+2 grand tourers first introduced at
the pre-war SS 100.

Jaguar launches an open-top two-seater sports roadster during the London
Geneva Motor Show in 1948. Though originally an open two-seater, the [=XK120=] is also offered 1996, available both in hatchback coupé form, whether a fixed head or a drophead.

A more upgraded version of the [=XK120=] was introduced
in 1954, now called the '''[=XK140=]''', available in open-top roadster, convertible or coupé. Differentiating body styles.

Replacing the then aging XJS, the first generation XK (under the X100 designation) was [[MarketBasedTitle marketed as the [=XK8=]]] which it was derived

Its body design bares similarities to the aforementioned [=DB7=] due to the car sharing the same platform. The [=XK8=], alongside the more powerful XKR are powered by Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine and pinion steering, fitted with 1.8 L supercharger from Eation, shared with the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup.

In 1957, its [[RuleOfThree third]] revised and final
fully redesigned iteration of the XK roadsters (now under the X150 designation) was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor show, styled by Ian Callum, the same designer who did the Aston Martin [=DB7=] and [=DB9=]. While it uses a brand-new aluminium monocoque chassis, one of the notable features of this facelift is its new grille that was a CallBack to the original 1961 E-Type. Just like the previous iteration, a high performance XKR was also introduced during the unveiling, but also offered an even more powerful version introduced in 2011 dubbed the XKR-S with an uprated engine, supercharger and fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires, as well as a limited edition track-oriented variant in 2013 called the '''[=XK150=]''' is unveiled, initially only available in either a fixed head or drophead coupé where both have added rear seats, though an open-top roadsters were released the following year, as the [=XK150=] OTS. The Koenigsegg Agera is a supercar introduced in 2010 as a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name "agera" [[MeaningfulName comes from the Swedish verb, meaning "to act"]]. -->--'''Description''', ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeedHotPursuit (2010)''

If there is a car worthy enough to be faster than the Bugatti Veyron, ''this is it''.

The Koenigsegg Agera is a supercar introduced in 2010 as a successor to the CCX/CCXR. The name "agera" [[MeaningfulName comes from the Swedish verb, meaning "to act"]]. With about 1000 hp in its twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Agera can reach the 400 km/h barrier with accelerations of 0-60 in less than 2.8 seconds.

The Agera has many variants and one-offs produced throughout its production. A higher performing Agera R produces over 1,100 hp, and theoretically capable of reaching 439 km/h. The Agera R is notable for its ''Anime/SpeedRacer'' livery. Another variant is the Koenigsegg One:1 (pronounced as ''one''), with a whopping 1,360 ps power equivalent of one megawatt as the name derives. The advanced version of the Agera R, the Agera RS clocked at a top speed of 277.87 mph / 447.19 km/h, it is officially the [[FastestThingAlive fastest production car in the world.]] The Agera ended with one last variant, the Agera Final Edition before it closed up shop in 2018 and was replaced by the Koenigsegg Jesko in 2021.

The Agera was named ''Hypercar of the Year'' in 2010 by ''[[Series/TopGearUK Top Gear]]'' magazine.

Lexus cars moved to Toyota section

[[folder:Lexus LFA]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lexus_lfa.jpg]]

->''"I usually kill traction control. But in this car, it definitely feels faster with the traction control on. ... I like that feeling of walking that line, getting into that edge."''
-->--'''Creator/PaulWalker''', [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuEFULhT6pQ on the Lexus LFA after driving it around Willow Springs]]

Perhaps it's Japan's first exotic supercar, that took [[DevelopmentHell 5 years to develop.]]

The LFA (short for '''L'''exus '''F'''uture '''A'''dvance) is Lexus's two seater supercar manufactured from 2010 to 2012, and it is the first standalone F-series model, the first of the LF lineup and the brand's first ever supercar.

Development for the LFA dates all the way back during the start of the TurnOfTheMillennium when both Toyota and Lexus intend to produce a supercar to showcase its performance and aerodynamic capabilities. The first SuperPrototype was finished in 2003, and underwent numerous tests around the Nürburgring where the car was equipped with a retractable rear spoiler and carbon ceramic brake discs.

The LF-A was finally introduced to the world on January 2005 at the North American International Auto Show in UsefulNotes/{{Detroit}}, despite having no plans for production. The car was designed in collaboration between Toyota and Italian designer Leonardo Fioravanti. Notable features of the car other than its retractable spoiler is its twin rear radiators, turbine shaped wheels and mostly its triple exhaust placed in an [[SinisterGeometry upside-down triangle position]]. Rumors say it was green-lit for production, though reports stated it was not officially confirmed.

The second concept was introduced in 2007, with a much more restyled body, a more aerodynamic exterior and having a fully-functional interior. The car had plans of utilizing a V10 and a hybrid engine. The following year, a roadster variant of the concept was unveiled.

On August 5, 2009, Toyota officially confirmed that the LFA will go into production, where it's expected it will carry V10 engines. The car was officially unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show and it would also mark as part of Lexus's 20th [[MilestoneCelebration anniversary]]. Under the hood is a 4.8 L even-firing V10 engine, producing 553-563 hp, and the car's body made fully of carbon-fiber reinforced polymer. As for performance, the car accelerates 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and can reach 326 km/h (203 mph).

The LFA officially ended in December 2012 with exactly 500 cars produces, with the final car being the track-focused LFA Nürburgring Package/Edition.

The E-Type offered in either a two-seater coupé (Fixed Head Coupé) or a two-seater roadster (Open Two Seater). 5 years later after its initial introduction, in 1966, a 2+2 four-seater coupé was releases, with a lengthened wheelbase. Later models include the updated "Series 2" and "Series 3", referring the original 1961 model as the "Series 1". It's offered in either a 3.8L of a 4.2L XK inline-6 engine, boasting 265 horsepower and capable of reaching 150 mph (241 km/h), where the Series 3 E-Type exchanges it for a 272 hp 5.3L V12 engine.

A limited edition E-Type Lightweight is an evolution of the low drag coupé, taking advantage of its aluminum alloy metal in body panels and components, with an uprated 300 hp, and fitted with Weber carburettors. This would be eventually used in clubman racing driven by privateer teams.

The Aston Martin [=DB7's=] little brother.

Its body design bares similarities to the aforementioned [=DB7=] due to the car sharing the same platform.

->''"Created to celebrate 15 years of outstanding performance" -- Agera the Swedish verb to Act is used to symbolize everything that Koenigsegg does best."''
-->--'''Description''', ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeedHotPursuit (2010)''

->''"On August 12, 1994, a 22-year-old Christian von Koenigsegg decided to follow his dream and build the world's greatest super-sports car. Koenigsegg Automotive is born. [...] All were amazed by the Koenigsegg's outstanding performance. The concept worked and it was time to introduce Koenigsegg to prospective buyers. The Koenigsegg story has sort of written itself from that point on, with a steady release of niche models that showcase a wealth of innovation and of course, brute performance."''
-->--[[https://www.supercars.net/blog/all-brands/koenigsegg/koenigsegg-models/ Koenigsegg Model List: Every Koenigsegg Ever Made]], ''Supercars.net''

The TropeCodifier of hypercars, ever before the Bugatti Veyron was even born. It's ultra-exclusive, ultra-powerful, ''ultra-expensive'' and ''ultra-limited''.

When Christan von Koenigsegg founded his namesake car company in 1994 in Ängelholm, Sweden, his intention was to produce a "world-class" sports car that would exceed the highest limits set by the [=McLaren=] F1. He built his first SuperPrototype called the Koenigsegg CC, which was inspired by the F1 itself and the Ferrari F40, powered by a supercharged 4.6 L Ford Modular V8 engine. That prototype took years of development and testing and by the TurnOfTheMillennium, it lead to the full production of the 2002 Koenigsegg [=CC8S=]. Its car uses its trademark [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihedral_synchro-helix_actuation_doors Dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors]], its signature targa top body, and its custom Koenigsegg twin-supercharged V8 derived from the aforementioned Ford Modular engine. With a power output producing 655 hp. and top speeds of over 390 km/h (240 mph), the car won the Literature/GuinnessWorldRecords for the Most Powerful Production Engine. The car would be replaced by the more-powerful and updated CCR which attempted to break the world record for top speed when it ran around the Nardò Ring testing facility in 2005.

In 2006, Koenigsegg unveils the CCX, short for ''[[XMakesAnythingCool Competition Coupé X]]'', which the "X" commemorates the [[MilestoneCelebration tenth anniversary]] for the completion and successful test drive of the first CC prototype in 1996. It was produced to meet US vehicle regulations by sporting new body modifications and a new in-house 4.7 L twin supercharged engine producing 806 hp, while running on 91 octane gasoline. The car's chassis was built from carbon fibre, reinforced with Kevlar and aluminium honeycomb. Throughout its production, Koenigsegg has produced various CCX variants:

* '''CCXR''' (2007-2009) 9 units - a more GreenAesop version of the CCX, using modified fuel injectors and E85 and E100 ethanol fuel. Engine power uprated to 1,018 hp.
* '''CCX Edition/CCXR Edition/CCXR Special Edition''' (2008-2009) 8 units combined - A much more track-oriented version compared to the standard model, notable for its carbon-fiber body.
* '''CCXR Trevita''' [[note]]Swedish for ''three whites''.[[/note]] (2008-2009) 2 units - An extremely limited edition of the CCXR, notable for its diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Once owned by famous boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
* '''CCGT''' (2007) 1 unit - a race-spec version of the CCX, solely intended to compete in the then-FIA [=GT1=].

The CC series would cease production in 2010 with 49 units combined in total. It was succeeded by the twin-turbocharged Agera.

[[caption-width-right:350:Embodying the Italian Wedge since TheSeventies.]]

->''"The Lancia Stratos produced a new era in rallying, as it was the first car designed and developed from scratch for rally competition. Production of the 500 cars required for homologation in Group 4 commenced in 1973 and the Stratos was homologated for the 1974 WRC season. The car won the 1974, 1975 and 1976 championship titles in the hands of Sandro Munari and Björn Waldegård."''
-->--'''Description''', ''''VideoGame/{{DIRT}}'' Rally 2.0''

Perhaps everyone who knows about UsefulNotes/{{Rallying}} pretty much knows about this classic rally car legend from Lancia.

The Lancia Stratos HF Stradale (Tipo 829) is a mid-engined rear-wheel drive sports car that was intended for replace the aging Lancia Fulvia HF for rallying, produced from 1973 to 1978.

Introduced at the 1971 Turin Motor Show, Bertone presented its Strtos prototype, just a year after its announcement of the Stratos Zero concept car. The prototype has three different engines throughout development; a Lancia V4 from the said Fulvia, and inline-4 from the Beta and the mid-mouned Ferrari Dino V6, which the latter most was used when production finally pushed through. Its power output produces 190 horsepower, and was compatible with a 5-speed manual transmission. Its notable feature of the Stratos is its distinctive wedge-shaped body, which would later be the codifier and trend of the "Italian Wedge" in future sports cars, such as the Lamborghini Countach and the Ferrari Testarossa. Only about 492 Stratos models were produced throughout its production.

The Stratos was designed to participate in the rally world, which would see action in the UsefulNotes/WorldRallyChampionship. Thanks to its small, but very lightweight body, the car won 18 rallies, courtesy of resident Italian driver Sandro Munari, which also helped won 3 consecutive championships from 1974 to 1976. [[https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/nv14l/s1/lancia-stratos.jpg Its distinctive Alitalia livery]] has become one of the most notable and iconic rally cars in history.

* When it comes to En's basic vehicle in ''Anime/BraveCommandDagwon'', it's by far none other than the Fire Stratos, a Lancia Stratos that is quite an ImprobablyCoolCar for police use.
* Resident {{Tsundere}} of the PowerTrio, Lisa Sakakino of ''Anime/ExDriver'' is the driver behind her classic CoolCar; a blue Group 4-spec Lancia Stratos HF (from episode 2 onwards) which she uses to stop erratic AutomatedAutomobiles. Previously, she drives an Impreza, which got wrecked in the process (due to AWD being too impractical for maneuvering).
* Batou from ''Anime/GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex'' drives one of his most beloved possessions he has in his CoolCar collection, and that is a yellow Lancia Stratos, a'' very'' rare 1970s racing coupe that he truly in love with.
* In ''Anime/LupinIIIPartII'', a snobbish race car driver named Kaguya challenges Lupin in a race in her green Group 5 Stratos-esque sports car around the coastal roads of Monaco.
* As expected where CoolCar is the emphasizing premise, ''Anime/{{Overtake}}'' has Noritsune Ena, the owner of Belsorriso, who drives a Lancia Stratos as his personal car.

[[AC:Video Games]]
* As a UsefulNotes/{{Rallying}} legend, the Lancia Stratos has appeared in rally-based racing games, typically as a DifficultButAwesome car (due to its nimble lightweight body prone to oversteering, especially on surfaces that aren't asphalt);
** ''VideoGame/ColinMcRaeRally'' is perhaps this, typically as a bonus car and in its distinctive Alitalia livery. The ''VideoGame/{{DIRT}}'' series has become a long-time staple RWD classic with the [[ImprobablyCoolCar improbable]] New Stratos by Fenomenon, a modern-era recreational concept that's being in the same RWD class as the Stratos itself.
** The Lancia Stratos in ''VideoGame/RallyTrophy'' defines what is CoolButInefficient; it has an absurdly powerful motor, absurdly great acceleration, break-neck top speed... [[CripplingOverspecialization but apparently zero grip on anything else than tarmac/asphalt]]...
** The Lancia Stratos appears as a [[SecretCharacter secret car]] in ''VideoGame/SegaRally Championship'', which goes much faster than the other two cars [[AwesomeButImpractical but in the arcade version it handles like it's on ice]] This became a mainstay in later games.
* As part of July 2023's American Legends update, ''VideoGame/TheCrew2'' adds this rally legend to the lineup. A Rallycross counterpart is also added on the same update, which was based on its Group 4 rally car.
* It only shows up as the only Lancia car in ''VideoGame/DriverSanFrancisco''. One mission has John Tanner has to retrieve back the Stratos as one of the stolen vintage cars that were to be sold at an auction.
* This wedge-shaped sports car shows up in every single ''VideoGame/{{Forza}}'' game (except the 2023 reboot), with of the Group 4-spec that was only exclusive to ''Horizon 3'' and ''Motorsport 7''.
* The Stratos first appeared in ''VideoGame/GranTurismo 2'', which can be obtained as a prize car. Fit racing modifications and you can turn it into an Alitalia-cladded rally car. While it was Dummied out in ''3'', it fully returns in ''4'', with the road car and rally car now being separate models. ''5'' onwards replaced the iconic Alitalia livery with a [[BlandNameProduct generic one]],[[note]]It is possibly due to licensing issues, and Alitalia would declare bankruptcy in 2008.[[/note]] but the game won't stop you from recreating the Alitalia livery in ''Sport'' ad ''7''.
* Outside of the rally world, ''VideoGame/{{GRID}} (2019)'' has this as a Classic GT car, based on its Circuit-spec Group 4 race car.
* This "off-road enthusiast" appears as the "[[{{Fauxrrari}} Dustdriver]]" in ''VideoGame/HorizonChase''. Its 2nd anniversary skin resembles the one of the Martini livery.
* Ditto in ''VideoGame/MotorStorm: Apocalypse'' as the Italia Cirrus is also a Group 5 Stratos {{Expy}} with some added flares from a Ford [=RS200=].
* Prbably one of the notable classics in ''VideoGame/ProjectGothamRacing 2'' and ''4''. [[WeakButSkilled While it may not have lots of power, but its lightweight body makes the car nimble around corners.]]
* The homologated Groupe 4 edition of this Italian classic is available as a DownloadableContent in ''VideoGame/TestDriveUnlimited 2''. Just find all the wrecks in Ibiza and this wedged sports car is yours.
* A rally version of the Stratos is seen in ''[=ToCA=] Race Driver 3'', restricted only on rally courses. [[https://igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=6930 Its Alitalia colors were inverted and the logo was replaced with the Supersprint logo]], possibly as as a way of WritingAroundTrademarks.

Oh, and did we mention is ''five times more expensive than the previous 2 games?''
* The LFA was introduced in ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeedShift'', albeit in its [[ImprobablyCoolCar concept form]], where it was featured as the Invitational Event car set in Silverstone National. Its sequel fully uses the production version and is also one of the Speedhunters cars. That being said, it spawned in later games;
** ...where it appears as the car of the #7 of TheMostWanted racer in ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeedMostWanted2012''.
** And in ''[[VideoGame/NeedForSpeedRivals Rivals]]'', it's considered as a rank 9 RCPD car.
* Terrazi's brand new super sports machine, the Centellee, introduced in ''VideoGame/RidgeRacer 7'' strongly resembles the 2005 LF-A Concept.
