The [=DeLorean=] was a rear-engined
midship sports car that designed by Carrozzeria Ghia. As the maker's third model, it was co-developed with Ford as then-vice president Lee Iacocca aided in boosting the brand's image by making a sports car like the Ford [=GT40=].

With Ford's guidance, the Pantera aimed to be capable sports car with a reasonable price and sold in large quantities, as it was suitably utilized with Ford's V8 engine. Ford later began importing the Pantera in the United States in 1971 and it was sold through Lincoln-Mercury dealers. Following Ford's disengagement in 1975, around 5,500 units were sold in the country.

With that, the Fiat 500 defined the first purpose-designed city cars.

Throughout its 18-year lifespan, Fiat produced numerous versions of the 500, ranging from a semi-convertible, a 3-door estate and panel van, and even a performance-oriented model tuned by Abarth as the Abarth 695 SS (or perhaps, the ''essesse''), with only 1,000 units produced. Another variant is the Bianchina by Autobianchi in 1960, a mini Berlina car based on the Fiat 500.

The Fiat 500 ended production in 1975 with nearly ''4 millions'' units produced. It made an impression to the community as one of the icons of automobiledom, similar to its rear-engined cousin, the Volkswagen Beetle.

As the TurnOfTheMillennium was underway, Fiat launced the Treipiùno concept during the Geneva Motor Show in 2004, which was a CallBack to the original 500. The concept design would transition into a fully-fledged production car in 2007, new as the "new 500". It's notable for its [[{{Retraux}} retro-styling]] from its original 1957 counterpart. Unlike the original, the new-generation Fiat 500 uses a front-engine, front wheel drive layout, which was a breakthrough during TheSixties. In addition to that, the 500 had a fixed-profile convertible called the 500C, introduced in 2009, also a high-performance model, this time called the Abarth 500, which uses a 133-horsepower turbocharged 1.4 L petrol engine. Later versions of Abarth's models includes the Abarth 595, with a larger engine, and a 695 Biposto, the most powerful 500 ever offered. Finally, a GreenAesop version called the [=500e=] was introduced in 2013, using a battery-electric engine.

The new 500 has been a very successful car and is considered to be the flagship model for Fiat and today, it has gained a reputation as an iconic cult classic.

This, combined with poor quality and mechanical issues, led to a high-performance model, this lack of sales, prompting John [=DeLorean=] to file for bankruptcy.

Despite its short-lived production, the [=DeLorean=] rose to popularity and became widely known for being featured as a
time called machine in ''Franchise/BackToTheFuture'', to the Abarth 500, which uses point John [=DeLorean=] personally sent a 133-horsepower turbocharged 1.4 L petrol engine. Later versions of Abarth's models includes letter to the Abarth 595, with a larger engine, and a 695 Biposto, film's producers, thanking them for immortalizing the most powerful 500 ever offered. Finally, a GreenAesop version called the [=500e=] was introduced in 2013, using a battery-electric engine.

The new 500 has been a very successful car and is considered to be the flagship model for Fiat and today, it has gained a reputation as an iconic cult classic.

The ContinuityReboot GreenAesop HummerDinger.

After Hummer's discontinuation in 2010, around 11 years later, General Motors announced the revival of the Hummer nameplate as a sub-brand under the GMC marque, but did not revive Hummer alone as a standalone brand.

The Hummer EV is GMC's line of all-electric pickup truck and sports utility vehicle unveiled in October 2020 and April 2021 respectively. A MightyGlacier amongst [=4x4=] sports utilities, weighing roughly 5 US tonnes (about 10,000 pounds/4,500 kg), this EV is considered to be one of the heaviest civilian cars ever sold in the United States, which may concern consumers with its mass that possess safety concerns to the public and the environment.

The EV was known to be endorsed by UsefulNotes/LeBronJames, as well as the car being test driven by United States president UsefulNotes/JoeBiden.

-->--'''Description''', ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyModernWarfareII''

beginning of TheFifties where the country was turned into an economic BoomTown. During this thriving decade, Fiat is working on a car that meets demands of the post-war market. It took the brand 8 years to develop it until in July 1957, Fiat has launched the 500, or the ''Cinquecento'' in Italian. It's a tiny car [[BoringButPractical that was very inexpensive and very practical to drive on a daily basis thanks to its steel wheels, simple body panels and uncomplicated gearboxes and engine components]]. The ContinuityReboot car measures 2.97 meters (9'9"), with wide-set rounded headlamps, and powered by a rear-mounted 479 cc 15-horsepower two-cylinder engine.

* Detective Chiba from ''Manga/DetectiveConan'' has a green Fiat 500 as his CoolCar. DependingOnTheArtist, it may be either a convertible or a hardtop.
* Yamcha from ''Franchise/DragonBall'' owns a Fiat Abarth 695, that is a high-performing sportier version of the famous Fiat 500.
* If there is a car worthy of being an ImmortalIconicCar which stood through the test of time, then look no further to the wimpy little subcompact, but heavily modified car of ''Franchise/LupinIII'': his yellow Fiat 500. It had appeared in all types of series, mainly as widely seen in the openings.
** This would also be prominent in the first full-length feature film ''Anime/TheCastleOfCagliostro'' where Lupin and Jigen drive a Fiat 500 "Bambino" that's been majorly souped-up.
** However in ''Anime/GreenVsRed'', the real (?) Lupin is seen driving the 2007 version of the ''Fiat 500'', which is a modernized {{Retraux}} version of the car he drives throughout the series.

-->--'''Creator/RichardHammond''', ''Series/{{Top Gear|UK}}''

Whether if it's a [[Music/{{Eminem}} Rap God]], a pimp from the ghetto or a rich kid who show-off their stylish ride, then this SUV is likely what you'd certainly see.

With the trend of luxurious [=SUVs=] in UsefulNotes/TheNineties such as the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Range Rover, Lexus LX and the Lincoln Navigator, the luxurious American brand Cadillac wasn't afraid of building a full-size luxury SUV of the own. The Cadillac Escalade is their first ever SUV which entered in the major market in 1999, mainly for North American markets (and a selected few in Europe and Asia). It's extended-length version, the ESV (Escalade Stretch Vehicle) was introduced 3 years later.

Within the UsefulNotes/TurnOfTheMillennium, the Escalade has risen to popularity amongst famous celebrities such as Music/{{Nelly}}, Music/SnoopDogg and Music/JenniferLopez, to the point many would own this SUV as part of their luxurious status or for personal reasons.

[[MeaningfulName Italian for "panther"]], the De Tomaso Pantera is a midship sports car designed by Carrozzeria Ghia.

Across its 20 year life span, the Pantera was produced in over 7,000 units and up to today is considered to be a rare collector's car.

-->--''Film/BackToTheFuture1''

The [=DeLorean=] was a rear-engined sports car that was produced from 1981 to 1982.

Originally marketed by the founder John [=DeLorean=], the car itself was designed by Italdesign's Giorgetto Giugiaro, and was notable for its stainless steel body and gull-wing doors... however, it also became infamous for its lack of power that doesn't match its looks and price. This, combined with poor quality and mechanical issues, led to a lack of sales, prompting John [=DeLorean=] to file for bankruptcy.

Despite its short-lived production, the [=DeLorean=] rose to popularity and became widely known for being featured as a time machine in ''Franchise/BackToTheFuture'', to the point John [=DeLorean=] personally sent a letter to the film's producers, thanking them for immortalizing the car.

-->''"I mostly drive around in a Fiat 500 TwinAir, and that's a pretty small car!"''
-->--'''Creator/RichardHammond'''

If you visit UsefulNotes/{{Italy}}, watch any ItalianMedia, or perhaps be a cunning GentlemanThief [[Franchise/LupinIII who has never been caught]], then you are certainly gonna see this cute little machine.

After the end of UsefulNotes/WorldWarII where UsefulNotes/FascistItaly has met its demise, [[CrapsackWorld Italy was living in a post-war era with a destroyed and stagnating economy]]. That is until the beginning of TheFifties where the country was turned into an economic BoomTown. The car measures 2.97 meters (9'9"), with wide-set rounded headlamps, and powered by a rear-mounted 479 cc 15-horsepower two-cylinder engine.

* The hilarious scene in episode 2 of ''Series/MasterOfNone'' (not the trope itself) has Dev and his best mate Arnold get their brand new 500 stuck in a narrow alley in Italy.
* In ''Series/WellingtonParanormal'', Minogue and O'Leary pull over a [[ClownCar Fiat 500 containing sixteen clowns]] in the "A Normal Night" episode, partially because the clowns creeped them out, partially because the clowns were dancing in the road [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and jaywalking]].
[[AC:Music]]
* The ProductPlacement is strong in Music/{{Echosmith}}'s music video ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UMfEfUR7wM Get Into My Car]]'' where the lead singer Sydney Sierota acts like an "Uber driver" driving her Fiat 500X and forcing everyone in her car. Plus she's drinking a [[UsefulNotes/McDonalds [=McCafe=]]].
* Music/JenniferLopez in "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XbIuSLaCnk Papi]]" owns a Fiat 500, used to escape from the swarming mob who tried to outmaneuver her.
* A beautiful red Fiat 500 is the very subject of the song "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODdZ4QhnXJI 500 (Shake Baby Shake)]]" driven by the lead singer of Music/{{Lush}}. It's very venerable on its own:
-->''When things are looking good there's always complications,\\
I can't be with you so I'm at the railway station''
* The beginning of the music video for "Good Time" by Music/OwlCity (featuring Music/CarlyRaeJepsen) features a Fiat 500 prominently, where the duo takes it for a spin.
[[AC:Video Games]]
* The Abarth 500 essesse is this cute-performing hatchback that serves as one of the [[StarterMon starter cars]] of ''VideoGame/{{Asphalt}}' 6: Adrenaline'', ''3D'' and ''7: Heat''.
* There's plenty for Fiat 500 bodies in ''VideoGame/ChoroQ'' that you can name and use.
* You have the Abarth 500 available in ''VideoGame/TheCrew''. And ''yes'' that cute 'lil hatch of Fiat can be turned into a ''frickin' monster truck''. There even a Monster spec 500 for the police in ''Calling All Units''!
** For the sleeper car of ''VideoGame/TheCrew2'', Latrell and Hiro discuss this topic while looking over the player's competition. Latrell singles out a plain-looking Abarth 500 as the main threat.
--->'''Latrell:''' There's some mighty fine rides lining up out there. But you know which one I think our friend should be looking out for? That plain-looking one right there.\\
''Points to a stock-looking Abarth 500.''\\
'''Hiro:''' Huh? Doesn't look like much.\\
'''Latrell:''' It doesn't have to if it's got the right kind of monster under the hood. If you're not careful, that monster's gonna eat you up.
* One of the missions of ''VideoGame/DriverSanFrancisco'' puts John Tanner in the shoes of a student driver and [[DrivesLikeCrazy drive that Abarth 500 like crazy]] as a way to scare the driving instructor shitlessly. Did we mention there is this tiny Abarth 695 SS?
* ''VideoGame/{{Forza}}'' digs Abarth cinquecentos. From the classic Abarth 595 SS to the modern 500 SS which is also seen in the hands of traffic in ''Horizon''.
* Plenty of Fiat [=500s=] galore in ''VideoGame/GranTurismo'', typically as a [[JokeCharacter useless joke car]]. In ''Sport'' '68, Fiat 500 with only ''15'' horsepower and a ridiculously high center of gravity.
** In ''4'', your first Driving Mission puts you in ''that'' Fiat 500 where you overtake that other Fiat within the first corner of Deep Forest Raceway.
** And for some reason, it's an UndesirablePrize car in ''5'' after winning the B-Spec European Classic Car Championship.
** Finally, in ''6'', you get this venerable modern-day Abarth 500 where you can get after beating your first Sierra Time Rally challenge.
* For the free {{DLC}}, the Rookie Season of ''VideoGame/HorizonChase'' gives you the new rookie car, and that of course is called... the Rookie. It's a 500 {{Expy}} driving school car, and even a student driver can bypass the 260 km/h {{Cap}}.
* The original car Slug called the "Slug Mobile" in ''VideoGame/MetalSlug'' is based on the Fiat 500 (the brand name is named [[SdrawkcabName backwards]] used to CarFu enemy units that stand in your way. And it ''jumps'' too.
* The cute supermini Monarch Tike from ''VideoGame/MotorStorm: Apocalypse'' is shaped like a classic Fiat 500. While it's driven by numerous participants, Tyler uses this vehicle on the track Upper Bohemia: "Suburban Shakedown".
* ''VideoGame/RidgeRacer'' has this tiny 'lil 500 {{Expy}} that you shouldn't be fooled with by just its looks!
** The Âge Erriso/Alouette from ''Rage Racer'' combines both the Abarth 595 and the 1000 TCR, turned into a monstrous PintSizePowerhouse.
** In chapter 6 or ''R: Racing Evolution'', Stephan Garnier procures a special racing machine for Rena Hayami to use for the next race; a Garnier-spec Fiat 500, packing quite a punch with almost ''300 horses under the hood''. A Class 1 track car that can simply trump any Le Mans racer at anytime.
--->'''Stephan Garnier:''' I want you to drive this. Yes, it's a Fiat... ...but hardly an ordinary one.
[[AC:Western Animation]]
* Almost every episode of ''WesternAnimation/{{Archer}}'' which contains [[CarPorn lots of cars on the background]], you're certainly guaranteed to see a red Fiat 500 everywhere it goes! This made prominent in episode 9 where Archer and Lana in GayParee used this car in a high-speed CarChase in an attempt to apprehend Kasparov.
* A CutawayGag of ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' where [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnbVxOJKmoc Peter Griffin drove that teeny-weeny Fiat, who is way too fat to fit!]]
-->'''Peter:''' Hey! You cut me off!\\
'''Pickup driver:''' What? Turn down your radio.\\
'''Peter:''' I can't. My stomach's pressed up against the dial.
* The spies Alex, Sam and Clover of ''WesternAnimation/TotallySpies'' were procured a micro car for the Italy mission against the "Evil Pizza Guys". That being said, it's a yellow Fiat 500 D lookalike with its [[WearingAFlagOnYourHead Italian flagged roof]].

[[folder:GMC Hummer EV]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/untitled_1_28.jpg]]

->''"Incredibly quiet and quick, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup can transport up to 4 squad members through the toughest battlefields."''
-->--'''Description''', ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyModernWarfareII''

[[AC:Film -- Live Action]]
* The Hummer EV would be there for any movie with a main character played by Creator/RyanGosling:
** It's a ProductPlacement thing for ''Film/Barbie2023'' where [[EverybodyOwnsAFord lots and lots of vehicles in the movie are ones manufactured by General Motors]]. One of them would be the car of Ken, a fully [[PimpedOutCar pimped out]] silver Hummer EV as his sweet sick ride. Alongide Barbie's pink Corvette, the EV Hummer it's so hot, it even got a Toys/HotWheels edition as part of the promotional package.
** Speaking of that, Ryan Gosling is set to drive this Hummer EV again in the 2024 film adaptation, ''Film/TheFallGuy2024'', where this electric pickup serves as his stunt performing car.
[[AC:Video Games]]
* Diego Salgado's mansion in the "El Sin Nombre" campaign mission of ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyModernWarfareII'' has this ''fully licensed'' behemoth parked in the garage. Outside of campaign, the Season One update allows you to drive this silent sports tank in Ground War and Invasion multiplayer modes... plus [[PimpedOutCar wacky skins]] applicable via RewardsPass.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llbhme8PfvQ Even the game has a commercial promoting the GMC, dropping it like it's hot.]]
* When Creator/{{Ubisoft}} announced ''VideoGame/TheCrewMotorfest'', one of the pre-order cars announced would be this rapid-accelerating electric behemoth as one of the early access cars. And you get to try this in the Electric Odyssey Playlist where the Hummer EV is part of along with its GreenAesop icons.
-->'''Danny:''' That is pretty fast for something that heavy!
* Only for the UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch, has this in ''VideoGame/{{Cruisn}} Blast'', replacing the Hummer HX concept from the arcade.... and just for some odd reason, the car has ''[[ArtisticLicenseCars six gears and engine noises to an electric vehicle]]'', which actually ''defeats the sole purpose of being an EV in the first place!''
* ''VideoGame/ForzaHorizon 5'' adds this GreenAesop behemoth to the badlands of Mexico in a 2023 update... and you also get to drive the aforementioned ''Barbie'' movie edition car that Ken drove in the movie.
