** The Eridani Light Horse are considered this to a T. The ELH insist that they are still in active service to the Star League, in spite of the Star League having been defunct for over 200 years, and that the mercenary contracts they sign with the various Great Houses are merely resupply and basing rights agreements with the governing bodies of the states that make up the Star League. The ELH still wears Star League uniforms and it's banner is the symbol of the Star League Defense Force, bordered in black and always presented at half-mast. However, in spite of the overenthusiastic Star League re-enacting and all-pervasive nostalgia, the ELH is widely considered to be one of the finest combined arms brigades in existence.
