Also, even though Illusionary Dance may be the ultimate official theme for Dracula, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2lXjAZSuMg&fmt=18 Sons of Satan]] is a good runner up. And then there's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFUPjC8xPMI&fmt=18 Chromatische Phantasie]], the theme for the battle against Christopher's son, Soleiyu. Hell, the [[http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=8544667F39526349&search_query=Belmont%27s+Revenge+soundtrack&page=1 whole damn soundtrack]] was excellent. It is amazing that the original Game Boy was capable of such awesome.

* They improved on Christopher's awesome with his next game, ''Belmont's Revenge.'' Here's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA5lv8NdTlI Dracula's Castle 1]], a great badass tune that just tells you that Chris has come a-knocking, and he's out to get Dracula for taking his son.

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJeuZrXXsRA Battle of the Holy]], one of the only worthwhile songs in the [[NintendoHard god damn hard]] ''Castlevania Adventure'', Christopher Belmont's debut game (The final stage theme, ''Revenge'', being the other.) Yep, the game may be frustrating. But that piece of music pretty much makes up for it.

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=hedDmBL__sA&feature=related Meet Lord Dracula (Meeting With Dracula)]] is a greatly underestimated song from a unfairly shunned game. Assuming you don't mind Beeps and Boops, you might find yourself hypnotized by this one.

** The extremely catchy [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed3VSlL1w-Q Death Fair]] makes one of the most diabolical stages in gaming history much more tolerable.

As one of the comments on the video states, the first 40 or so seconds symbolize Wallman's less than serious nature, but after that it gets more serious to reflect how dangerous the other bosses are.

** The rockin' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iafG4uZyFZQ SOTN verison]]

* A notable remixer [[http://www.powergoat.com Goat]] was re-arranging the Castlevania 3 soundtrack. When he got [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC35zhfkPtk Deja Vu]], which is essentialy Vampire Killer, he decided to create a medley of the whole original Castlevania soundtrack: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZAI4iHK0sA Scourge of 1691]]. And it's Awesome.

** Track name is "Original Sin", and yes...it doth rocketh verily.

As far as this troper is aware, there have only been two [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz4YGIVWWgw&fmt=18 semi-official]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJraO5erbuw&fmt=18 remixes]] of this piece, both from the [[http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Dracula_Midi_Collection Akumajou Dracula MIDI Collection]]. Sadly, it doesn't appear that a version of this has ever been used in an actual game since Simon's Quest itself (though he would be glad to be proven wrong on this point).

* Don't forget [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l0llHjI3fM Don't Wait Until Night]]. It's an awesome song. If you're looking for the same song combined with [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA9FhBwRtoc Heart of Fire]] from the [[NintendoEntertainmentSystem NES]] and MSX ''Castlevania'', look the ''Aria of Sorrow'' section for more information.
* Don't forget either [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reA3mmMtE-o&feature=related Sent To The Devil's Requiem]], the hi-score list theme. It's unfortunately a WastedSong, but [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tViz7huwhJA&feature=related this remix]] made for ''Adventure Rebirth'' certainly isn't.

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHeB_spsNK8 Overture]] from Castlevania 3 never seems to get the attention it deserves. Then again, maybe this troper is just a sucker for weird time signatures.

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSaFln_q3zs Nocturne]], from ''Symphony of the Night'', a solemn, beautiful vocal hidden track that becomes all the better if you can understand the lyrics. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRAbUE1wSg4 This English version of it]], from a later rerelease, is one of the rare examples where a translation of a Japanese song manages to preserve both meaning and rhythmical/intonational structure, and is by no means worse - if not better - than the original.

Admittedly, YouTube's limited audio here doesn't quite do it justice, but you have to love such a multilayered decadently evil-sounding organ-tacular 5/4 time track. Seriously. Some tropers may find it driving them insane - it does play almost everywhere in the Inverted Castle - but it's still fantastic.

* Criticize this troper if you will, but the end credits song [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU0C1xHS8BI I Am The Wind]] is a really perfect song for Alucard, it's a song that will really touch your heart and emotions when you first hear it. It's a shame that later versions of this game have replaced it (such as the PSP and Xbox 360 versions).

** [[@/MadSurge This troper]] thought he would never headbang to nothing else than REAL guitar riffs and drums. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnELvwsJ7zM Dissonant Courage]], one of the boss themes, galantly proved him otherwise with digitized drumming, a jaw-dropping base and one of the catchiest melodies ''ever''.

** This troper found "An Empty Tome" particularly awesome not just because of the song itself, but because of how it was used, making it one of the best examples of this trope. The music starts playing at a moment where the main character has just defeated a difficult boss, lost a lot of her friends, and is finally venturing into Dracula's Castle to finish things. And when you do enter the castle, you discover that it's about as big as the rest of the game combined, and it's also the most difficult area yet, as opposed to every other Metroidvania so far, where you start off in the castle. The sense of accomplishment in reaching this level, combined with the music, made this one of the best moments in gaming in 2008.

It's probably one of the best compositions I've heard from Yamane.
