* The whole divorce-turned-remarriage. Navier quietly agrees to divorce Sovieshu, seemingly giving up her title of empress to a concubine who smirks behind TheEmperor's back at what is happening to Navier. And then... she asks for a remarriage. Cue Heinly, unveiling himself and he struts to her side, while Sovieshu and Rashta are frozen to the spot and the crowd is stunned. It's an amazing way to start the story and the perfect climax to the first part of the webcomic.

Navier quietly agrees to divorce Sovieshu, seemingly giving up her title of empress to a concubine who smirks behind TheEmperor's back at what is happening to Navier. And then... she asks for a remarriage. Cue Heinly, Heinrey, unveiling himself and he struts to her side, while Sovieshu and Rashta are frozen to the spot and the crowd is stunned. It's an amazing way to start the story and the perfect climax to the first part of the webcomic.

* Underneath his carefree, puppy persona, Heinly is TheChessmaster. He goes to the Eastern Empire to secretly gather intel in order to prepare for an invasion. When he meets Navier, he plans quite a few things more, such as Ergy's ''friendship'' with Rashta and sending anonymous letters to Navier. Ultimately, the guy doesn't need to invade the Eastern Empire, as the nation weakens so badly from the fallout of Rashta's crimes and Sovieshu's failing mental health that Heinly's family practically owns the Eastern Empire by the end of the story. Everything works out for him!
* Ergy is one stone-cold badass. He plays Rashta like a fiddle, giving her "good" advice on etiquette that actively makes her worse off in the eyes of the court and getting her to take a big loan with interests from him in order to pay off her former owner/blackmailer, those interests being making her sign off a strategically important port to him when she became the empress. All without rousing suspicion from her or Sovieshu. The only time Ergy truly risks his position is when he is ordered by Sovieshu to "rescue" Heinly and take him back to his kingdom without Navier. Instead, Ergy manages to sneak both of them out without getting caught! When he finally reveals his true colors, Rashta can only bring herself to smack him and yell at him. Sovieshu would have done worse, if not for the fact that Ergy planted a false note for him detailing how Glorym is actually Sovieshu's child - a distraction in order for Ergy to get out of the Eastern Empire.
* High Priest Vimirey. He's the only authority figure higher than Sovieshu, and he has the power to not only allow Navier to remarry Heinly, but to also scold Sovieshu when he tries to reject the remarriage without consequence.
* Navier telling Sovieshu to his face that, no, she's not coming back to him even if he has now explained himself to her. The fact that he had the nerve to ask this of her at his wedding TO ANOTHER WOMAN makes this even better. [[OhCrap From the look on his face,]] you can tell that it's finally sinking in what he's given up.

* Catron receives information that Heinrey had a secret lover, who has a child who looks a lot like Heinrey and whose house is being guarded by two Imperial guards. The woman, wearing a gem necklace with the Imperial crest on it, agrees to keep Catron's own pendant as proof that he will bring her to the Imperial Palace with her son. He then brings the woman to the palace, who then promptly lies that Catron was the one who promised to be with her and then abandoned her. When Catron tries to object, she pulls out his pendant and calls him a traitor. Turns out Heinrey set the whole thing up to catch Catron in the act of slandering him, which keeps him quiet for a while.

* Really, just Navier in general. This is a woman taught from birth how to be the ideal empress, and she succeeds in everything she does in that role. She’s able to control her emotions so well some can’t guess what she’s thinking, is a very skilled diplomat and bussinesswoman as shown in her negotiations with Kapmen from Luipt, and does everything she can to help her subjects such as taking 15 years worth of detailed notes on how to rule an empire and sponsor charities when she knows she is getting divorced. And while there are some hiccups in getting respect from the high society, she is able to continue being the ideal co-ruler in the West.

* The whole divorce-turned-remarriage. Navier quietly agrees to divorce Sovieshu, seemingly giving up her title of empress to a lowly mistress who smirks behind the Emperor's back at what is happening to Navier. And then... Navier asks for a remarriage. Cue Heinly, unveiling himself and he struts to Navier's side, while Sovieshu and Rashta are frozen to the spot and the crowd is stunned. It's an amazing way to start the story and the perfect climax to the first part of the webcomic.
* Really, just Navier in general. This is a woman taught from birth how to be the perfect empress, and she succeeds in everything she does as empress. She is able to control her emotions so well, some cannot guess what she is thinking, is a skilled diplomat, and does everything she can to help her subjects, even taking 15 years worth of detailed notes on how to rule the Empire when she knows she is getting divorced. And while there are some hiccups, she is able to continue being the perfect ruler when she becomes Heinly's wife and queen of the Western Kingdom.
* Underneath his carefree, puppy dog persona, Heinly is a chess master. He goes to the Eastern Empire to secretly gather intel in order to prepare for an invasion. When he meets Navier, he plans quite a few things, such as Duke Ergy's friendship with Rashta and sending anonymous letters to Navier, in order to snowball the conflict between Sovieshu and Navier to the point of divorce (some parts which Sovieshu did for him), and then swoops in to grab the woman he loves and gains a loving wife and children (and also sticks it to Sovieshu). And ultimately, the guy doesn't need to invade the Eastern Empire, as the nation weakens so badly from the fallout of Rashta's crimes and Sovieshu's failing mental health that Heinly practically owns the Empire by the end of the story. Everything works out for him!
* Navier gets to one-up Rashta several times, despite the risks. One example is during Rashta's baby shower; Navier presents Rashta with a gem-encrusted sword, proclaiming that she hopes Rashta's child will be like that sword. Later on, Duke Ergy tells Rashta that Navier had given her a StealthInsult- the sword is a decorative piece and serves no other purpose. Rashta did not take that one well.
** Also when Naiver begins to stand up to Sovieshu. When he burns Heinly's correspondence letters and says she can't have that kind of relationship with Heinly as the empress and his wife, Navier replies that while she is Sovieshu's wife, he's not her lover.
* Duke Ergy is one stone-cold badass. He plays Rashta like a fiddle, getting her to take a big loan from him in order to pay off her former owner/blackmailer, and gives her "good" advice on dresses and ettiqutte that actively makes her worse off in the eyes of the court. All without rousing suspicion for Rashta or Sovieshu. The only time he truly risks his position is when he is ordered by Sovieshu to "rescue" Heinly and take him back to his kingdom without Navier. Instead, he manages to sneak both of them out without getting caught!
** When Ergy finally reveals his true colors, Rashta can only bring herself to smack him and yell at him. Sovieshu would've done worse, if not for the fact that Ergy planted a false note for him detailing how Glorym is actually Sovieshu's child- a distraction in order for Ergy to get out of the Empire.
* The High Priest. He is the only authority figure higher than Sovieshu, and he has the power to not only allow Navier to remarry Heinly, but to also scold Sovieshu when he tries to reject the remarriage without consequence.

Navier she asks for a remarriage. Cue Heinly, unveiling himself and he struts to Navier's her side, while Sovieshu and Rashta are frozen to the spot and the crowd is stunned. It's an amazing way to start the story and the perfect climax to the first part of the webcomic.
* Really, just Navier in general. This is a woman taught from birth how to be the perfect ideal empress, and she succeeds in everything she does as empress. She is able to control her emotions so well, well some cannot guess what she is thinking, is a very skilled diplomat, and does everything she can to help her subjects, even subjects such as taking 15 years worth of detailed notes on how to rule the Empire an empire when she knows she is getting divorced. And while there are some hiccups, she is able to continue being the perfect ideal ruler when she becomes Heinly's wife and queen of in the Western Kingdom.
* Underneath his carefree, puppy dog persona, Heinly is a chess master.TheChessmaster. And ultimately, Navier. Ultimately, the guy doesn't need to invade the Eastern Empire, as the nation weakens so badly from the fallout of Rashta's her crimes and Sovieshu's failing mental health that Heinly Heinly's family practically owns the Eastern Empire by the end of the story.
* Duke
Ergy is one stone-cold badass. He plays Rashta like a fiddle, getting her to take a big loan with interests from him in order to pay off her former owner/blackmailer, and gives giving her "good" advice on dresses and ettiqutte that actively makes her worse off in the eyes of the court. All without rousing suspicion for Rashta or Sovieshu. The only time he truly risks his position is when he is ordered by Sovieshu to "rescue" Heinly and take him back to his kingdom without Navier. Instead, he Ergy manages to sneak both of them out without getting caught!
**
caught! When Ergy he finally reveals his true colors, Rashta can only bring herself to smack him and yell at him. Sovieshu would've done worse, if not for the fact that Ergy planted a false note for him detailing how Glorym is actually Sovieshu's child- a distraction in order for Ergy to get out of the Empire.
* The High Priest.Priest Vimirey. He is the only authority figure higher than Sovieshu, and he has the power to not only allow Navier to remarry Heinly, but to also scold Sovieshu when he tries to reject the remarriage without consequence.
