This episode had the title card that had ended Jon’s related info dumps that opened each video prior, further fuelling suspicion among fans that this would be a bait-and-switch. However, Jon confirmed in the comments that the title card as the thumbnail was actually one of the automatically generated preview images to select from. Even the AI algorithms of [=YouTube=] were adding to the ultimate April Fool’s anti-joke. (For those looking, Jon’s comment was in reply to user [=Mario1080p=] on this episode of the LP.)

* With the VideoGame/DonkeyKongCountry LP- the one that was supposed to be LP that started Jon's comeback- Jon wanted to create something akin to WebVideo/SonicTheHedgehog2SpecialEdition... albeit with an actual game, and the LP itself would also be designed in such a way that anyone watching would find it useful as a guide of sorts. Given the general response from his audience, it's safe to say he very much succeeded; the LP is a multiversal mind trip that bounces between all three official releases of the game, an NES bootleg based on the game, and the rare competition cart, all before very briefly touching base with VideoGame/DonkeyKong5TheJourneyOfOverTimeAndSpace. At the same time, however, Jon also goes through every stage, shows off the locations of each and every secret and bonus room- most of which are identical across all three versions- and even shows off just about everything that's unique about the two handheld ports, making it a useful guide for anyone happening to be playing along. As Jon says himself, the fact that all that managed to come through even remotely coherently is a goddamn miracle, and that makes the LP as a whole worthy of a spot on this page.

* In Jon's Easter 2018 stream, the chat somehow ends up producing an exact tie in the straw poll vote between Crazy Taxi 2 and Digimon All-Stars Arena, so Jon resolves to play both AT THE SAME TIME. What starts out as a joke ends up with Jon managing to simultaneously beat a stage in both at once.

* At the end of the July 25th, 2020 Fortune Cookie, Jon plays VideoGame/Battletoads as the last game of the night. He spends the entire segment dreading Clinger Winger, the game's penultimate stage. As such, Jon goes out of his way to get lives when possible, only to be screwed over by rustiness and poor luck against some of the harder sections. So when he gets to Clinger Winger (after beating the final section of Rat Race in one try, itself an awesome moment), it's only natural that he beats both the main level and boss of Clinger Winger in one try. Even after burning the small surplus of lives he'd built up and expending two of his three continues on the last stage, Jon still manages to beat the game. Even better? Jon hadn't beaten the game before without using cheats, such as the infinite lives code used during the race, meaning that the clear counted for July 2020's Game Clearing slot, up to that point rendered empty due to Jon taking time off to take care of LetsPlay/Lucahjin.

* On August 22nd, 2020, Jon did a livestream of playing VideoGame/ResidentEvil5. What's awesome about that? He played it co-op with Creator/DCDouglas, the voice of Albert Wesker (and the spawn of "You will give me an egg!"). It isn't a sponsored or promotion stream either; the two of them just have fun playing the game together because they like and respect each other.
