Normally, people subscribe when funny stuff is happening a while into the stream, but in one stream, [[Creator/RLYoshi someone]] subscribed within ''two minutes'' of him starting. Cue the chat erupting briefly about "record egg time", and several other people following up with multiple subscriptions within the next fifteen minutes.

* On the 8/18/2014 Bomberman Act Zero Tournament, [[spoiler:Dan ends up winning the entire tournament AGAIN!]] Then immediately afterwards, not satisfied with his victory, [[spoiler:Dan]] challenges Jon to match for his BAZ Championship [[spoiler: ...which Jon curbstomps him in]].

* In Part 9 of his Yoshi's Island Let's Play, he attempts to skip the boss. He misses a couple times, and is down to one egg. So what does he do? [[spoiler: HE MANAGES TO KILL IT WITH THE LAST EGG.]]

** Part 16 of that LP: "Indulge me in this incredibly dumb fantasy of mine..." * In the Direct Relief charity stream in November 2016, Jon initially sets a donation target of $5000. He hits this target '''[[spoiler:half an hour]]''' into the 11-hour stream. In the end, Jon and his fans raised '''[[spoiler:over $22,000!]]'''

* During the ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyo VideoGame/{{Tetris}}'' portion of the Top 11 Chaos Fortune Cookie stream, the finale of one game came down to Jon and The 8-Bit Drummer. Jerod was seconds away from winning after Jon misplays in the Tetris portion... before it shifts to Puyo, where Jon had recently done an All Clear.

** Not only that, but since all the previous videos in the series were uploaded before [=YouTube=] allowed custom thumbnail uploading, they all had images from the gameplay. This episode had the title card that had ended Jon’s related info dumps that opened each video prior, further fuelling suspicion among fans that this would be a bait-and-switch. However, Jon confirmed in the comments that the title card as the thumbnail was actually one of the automatically generated preview images to select from. He spends the entire segment dreading [[ThatOneLevel Clinger Winger]], the game's penultimate stage. As such, Jon goes out of his way to get lives when possible, only to be screwed over by rustiness and poor luck against some of the harder sections. So when he gets to Clinger Winger (after beating the [[ThatOneLevel final section of Rat Race]] ''in one try'', itself an awesome moment), it's only natural [[TheAce that he beats both the main level and boss of Clinger Winger in one try]]. Even after burning the small surplus of lives he'd built up and expending two of his three continues on the last stage, Jon still manages to beat the game. Even better? Jon hadn't beaten the game before without using cheats, such as the infinite lives code used during the race, meaning that the clear counted for July 2020's Game Clearing slot, up to that point rendered empty due to Jon taking time off to take care of LetsPlay/{{Lucahjin}}.
